Really good Mexican food. I'm born and raised in California. So I know good Mexican, and this place has really good Mexican. Can't go wrong with the wet burrito and lime margarita. Parking is a little bit of a hassle. But not a huge deal breaker.

3.5 stars. One of the two best Mexican eateries on Oahu. Good food and menu selection. Great daily drink specials. Parking is nil unless you get there when they open, which is twice a day. Most staff are great.

Best Mexican restaurant on the island. Went here for the first time because we were craving for some Mexican food. We left the restaurant with a great impression and our cravings satisfied. Very nice and friendly staff

Awesome place for vegetarians. Owner was genuinely care for ensuring our food was pure vegetarian and explained how each dish was prepared. Highly recommend it. Service was excellent. Only issue is very limited parking.

Best MARGARITAS in Town! The lilikoi margarita was divine. Fresh & refreshing! Refried beans made in-house and cooked with vegetable oil (no lard here!) so vegetarians can find lots of items to eat. Los Chaparros salsa is homemade & in such demand, you can buy some to go. Very few Mexican places on this island & this one is a hidden gem that's legit! Mexican servers, decor, & music. Waitstaff was helpful, funny, & professional. Only 7-8 parking spots which were gone by 5:01 pm, when restaurant opened. There were actually people waiting for the place to open. Closes at 9 pm so get there early, kick back, & enjoy!

If I could give this place negative stars I would. Worst "Mexican" food I've ever had. Don't be fooled by the mix vegetables in the food... you'll find mostly green beans, okra and eggplant in the food. Who puts green beans, okra and eggplant in a Chimichanga?

My first time here and been yearning for excellent, traditional, authentic Mexican food. My roommate and I decided to come to Los Chaparros, and I sure am glad we did!!! Hands down the best Mexican food I have ever had, from California to New York, all the way on down to Florida. My cousins are from Mexico, my father was a Certified Executive Chef and finding good food is extremely hard for me, especially Mexican food. Thank you so much for such a wonderful and delicious experience! We love you guys!

Being from Mexico many of the plates here aren't made the same way that I'm used too or taste the same... but it's still the best place in Oahu that I've been too so far! Not bad.

This place is actually horrible. We were served FROZEN VEGETABLES in our chimichangas..... LITERALLY...not sure how this place is in business.. stale chips... when asked for fresh chips he brought back the same chips he took off of our table...actually the worst service we received in Honolulu and we were here for two months... heads up- they buy their ingredients from Walmart I’m pretty sure- first Mexican place I’ve been that serves shredded cheese from a grocery store (they do not serve authentic Mexican cheese or have queso)

First off, I am Mexican and I know authentic Mexican food. From my mother and grandmother who were born & raised in Mexico, nothing gets as close to authentic as Los Chaparros. My husband and I have been searching for great Mexican food since we moved here but we soon discovered great Mexican food here is a rarity. We noticed all of the amazing 5-star reviews stating the same so we had to give this place a shot. We we were not disappointed and we will become frequent customers moving forward. For all of the 4-star reviews who loved the food but had a complaint having nothing to do with the quality is ridiculous. Grow up!! I want to know about the food!!! I don’t care if parking was tough, the salsa wasn’t spicy enough for you (everyone has a different preference, they are appealing to the masses), or if you were having a bad hair day. #realtalk #luckywelivehawaii

Heard a lot of good things about this restaurant. Finally got a chance to try it. The food was excellent and the service was good! Everything was made fresh and the BEST fish soft tacos I've ever eaten! Highly recommend this restaurant! Go early cause not much parking!

Authentic. Idk if the owner was or server but. 100% attentive. All his suggestions were spot on. The amount of food was rediculous! Best thing we're the Taquitos, Horchata, Corn and Green Chili Soup, and the CHURRRROsssss!!! Muy burn!

Parking is challenging so be patient especially during peak hours. Food was good. Portions were a bit small for the bigger eaters but very delicious. I'd recommend the Fiesta burrito. Definitely satisfies the Mexican cravings.

Great Mexican food, Margaritas also excellent. Love to have the option of salad or soup instead of rice and beans, which are also good if you like same. Service from AT and Felipe warm and responsive. Overall best Mex in Honolulu.

great place for some good Mexican. nothing was greasy and the plates were big like you'd expect from a Mexican place as if it were in a southern state. friendly staff and great music. prices were cheaper than I expected. parking is kinda tough at a busy time in the day but you can pull around to the block behind it if you wanna be sneaky.

Food is great but had an experience with one server, when I said I wanted churros, he brought Huevos Rancheros and then I said “sorry i asked for churros” the server responded “ nope you said Huevos Rancheros” decides not to say sorry and or even fix this issue, I don’t think I will be back for a while

This place was amazing! The service was just as great as the food. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. I always can tell if the restaurant is good based on their tamales. This place had a great tamal! The only thing I would improve is the need for more parking spaces. I highly recommend. I do plan to come back again.

This place is a gem! Being a San Diego native, quality Mexican food is on every other corner. On this island, it's few and far between. I am so grateful to have found this place. The server was thorough and personable. The restaurant ambiance and decor made me feel like I was in Mexico. The food was excellent! I had steak lettuce wraps and chilaquiles. Yum! I wasn't a fan of the salsa they served with tortilla chips when we sat down... but, hey, it was free, so no harm there! If you like Mexican food, please treat yourself to this place!

Cant go wrong with this place some of the best Mexican on island. The service is Meh sometimes because the server may spend 15 minutes talking to another table. That's good service though!

I recently moved to Hawaii and have been on the hunt for great Mexican and kept finding myself disappointed. Got on Google maps to find a new Mexican restaurant around the area I was running errands and came across this place. Let's just say I will be returning at least once a week!! By far the best Mexican food I have had on the island so far. They have great prices on lunch specials which is always a huge plus for me. Staff was super friendly and my meal came out really quick. Ordered a beer and they brought out a frosty glass for it as well!~
