This is hands down the best Mexican food on the island. I was a little skeptical because of its location. But, wow. Food was awesome, and salsa was great. I'm from southern California, where good restaurants (especially Mexican) are everywhere , but finding good restaurants on the island is tough. It's in an otherwise abandoned food court. A little difficult to find, even with GPS leading the way, but it is well worth the trip. There are tables to sit at to enjoy your food. If you're like me and love Mexican food, I strongly urge you to try this place. I have been there many times, and never been disappointed. It's definitely five star food but it is not upscale dining. I might have given it four stars because of the location, but the food is seriously the best Mexican food on any of the islands,

The food and the service here was clearly the best I have ever encountered on the big island. The food was the most authentic and amazing I have ever had here on the big Island. I would suggest this to anyone; local or visiting. This is the beginning of authentic Mexican cuisine in the entire state of Hawaii.

Hands down the BEST Mexican food I have ever eaten here in Kona during the 28 years that I've lived on The Big Island of Hawai'i. I definitely recommend this establishment if you are looking for authentic Mexican food . All orders are made fresh so it takes a little while to get your order, but is waaaay worth the wait.

Your typical hole in the wall hidden gem of Kailua. These ladies do it right. Shrimp tacos are best on the island! Quassadillas are good too. Lengua tacos are loaded up and taste great

Hands down, the best Mexican in Kona. I've been here twice now in the last two weeks and I've been blown away both times. I love the authenticity of everything here. The flavors, the dishes, it's all great. Presentation is 5 star, and was well above what I expected. This place is far better than the little corner they eek out at the Int'l Marketplace. If you are hungry for real authentic Mexican food, this is the only place you need to look. The carne asada tacos were fresh with hot meat, cold lettuce, and a flavor that just melts in your mouth. Also had the chorizo taco, which I thought was going to be too greasy, but ended up being my favorite. My second trip I had the Pozole Verde y Rojo, that was on special. I'm usually one that looks at soup as a starter and not a meal, but this was definitely a meal. The only caveat, is be prepared for flys. This isn't their fault, the Int'l Marketplace is responsible for this, but it is something to contend with.

This is a decent little taqueria. It's a little off the beaten path but the price are reasonable and the food is good. I had a torta which was made with ciabatta bread but I think bakeries here aren't making bolillos.

I am thoroughly impressed with this "rinconsito" the food was great and authentic, I tried an Al-pastor burrito and enjoyed it, but I saved half so I would have enough room to try the Ceviche Verde, and found my mouthwatering, it was seasoned to perfection, and the Ono fish was so fresh and clean, there is no doubt in my mind it had probably been caught earlier that morning. They also offered things from back home that you can't buy at big box retailers. As always it is a pleasure to find mi gente around the globe!

Best Mexican food on 3 islands I’ve visited (Kauai, Oahu, Big Isle). Have tried many Mexican places since I moved to Hawaii from San Diego.. so so I know good Mexican. Large portions, low price (for Hawaii), good value, great taste, carne asada is marinated and taste great! They get busy so just be patient. Run by two great, sweet sisters. Forgot my credit card there and they saved it for me in the register! Muchas gracias!

Amazing burritos! Big portions for price. Tons of flavour. All meals are made fresh, so you wait a bit for your food but worth it. Their hot sauce made in house and tastes phenomenal! The people running the spot are very kind. We will definitely be going back.
