As you can see it reaches an opinions average is quite good, and it's founded on a very high number of scores, so we may conclude that the assessment is very credible. If many people have bothered to rate when they are pleased with the business, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to place scores when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Restaurant corresponds to the category of Seafood restaurant.
Wonderful food, but should have a better seating arrangement instead of having to wait for a table to clear to seat yourself. Ended up having strangers hop in at our table on our date because they let you seat yourself.
I just got back from a 7 day vacation in Waikiki with my wife and 2 daughters. We stayed at the fabulous Outrigger Waikiki beach resort. I want to say that Duke's was our day hotel. We ate their delicious breakfast and lunch buffet and sometimes dinner. The service was great, the atmosphere was awesome. Great place for families. I want to thank Jessie at the bar for his great personal service. Also thanks to Adrian for his great hospitality. We'll be back soon!
Buffet good price and nice friendly people work there
Came for the breakfast buffet, was not disappointed. $18 for all you can eat plus drinks is a pretty good deal in Waikiki, especially considering how nice this place is and how great the staff are.
Worth the view for sure! A great place with super friendly wait-staff and good food! I didn't have to wait for a table and got a front row seat to the beautiful sunset. Definitely worth checking out!
Delicious food and very welcoming atmosphere! Definitely try to make a reservation at least a day or two ahead of time if you're going for dinner. If you like crab cakes, theirs are among the best I've had.
The food and drinks are amazing! You have to be quick about finding an open round table during the weekends or someone else will beat you to it! Wait time is understandable.
Honestly a very subpar restaurant. We got the lunch buffet and it had a lot to be desired. Given how highly rated this place is, I expected more. That being said, I imagine the non-buffet food is much better. It's right on the beach so it's great for a quick getaway if you're on the beach all day. Enjoy!
Very nice place. Kids friendly. Food was very tasty and fresh. Definitely worth a visit when u are on Waikiki.
Worst night... The night I had was the worst dining experience ever... not only did the manager told our server not to serve us alcoholic beverages but I ended up with a 48.89 bill. I was frustrated because my wife hated the lobster and wanted a drink but was denied an alcoholic beverage... I did not order anything, because I was enjoying the vibe up until the manager came by and said I was behaving rudely. We were sitting in the back and was not near anyone. My impression was that the manager did not care for locals since we are more conservative with our spending than tourists. Who will be more likely to spend more. It was an awful event.
A favorite spot whenever we’re in Waikiki. The salad bar is outstanding. The fresh fish is always delicious and perfectly cooked. I had the salad bar, the Mongchong cooked with the Parmesan crust, and of course, split a Hula Pie with my husband.
Excellant resturant! Reservations are highly suggested if a larger party or going to dinner after 6pm but don't let that dissuade you. Worth the trip. Hula pie for dessert is a must but very large portions so keep that in mind if ordering dessert.
Yes, the food was excellent, the view of the sunset was amazing and even the ambiance was perfect! But what REALLY set this place far and away above all others on the island is how incredible ALL the staff had such giving and gracious attitudes!! From the host, the hostess both waitresses and even the busboy! All were incredibly helpful!
NOTE: This review is only for drinks. We did not eat there. But the drinks are very good. We tried a bunch 4-5 and were never disappointed. The nicest bartender was by far Miami Matt. He was also best at recommending drinks
Great service!! Awesome breakfast buffet with plenty of options. Only downside is they don’t make speciality coffee drinks, but not a big deal. Nothing beats oceanfront dining!
My friend and I came here twice for the breakfast buffet from the north shore! We enjoyed AMAZING $5 mimosas and an $18 buffet, with coffee included. The food was delicious, with really good fresh fruit. We were obsessed with their breakfast potatoes and veggies- crispy and perfectly seasoned. I loved the banana pancakes and saw many others enjoying the omelette bar. I'd definitely come here again. The restaurant was clean and pleasant, with really competent, kind staff! Plus, a gorgeous view of the ocean. The only downside is having to pay for parking, but it was worth it to spend all day in Waikiki! Make sure to walk through the galleria to find Duke's at the back by the ocean!
Food was amazing! Our server Luke was beyond charismatic and very helpful with menu choices / recommendations.
Duke's is a great place to visit for a beachside drink and pupus. A little noisy but not so much you can't carry out a conversation. Music started at 5pm day I was there, pleasant not too loud. Had my Longboard and nachos and a good time.
The best great food and the staff is wonderful ... if they are doing the buffet That was wonderful... drinks are made to order. Go and eat each time you are in area
Fantastic buffet breakfast with views over the sea. Busy and lively atmosphere. Great lively bar for other times of the day.
I needed and wanted a good salad bar and selection with some lean protein choices. The lunch buffet satisfied all my needs. Its small but delicious.
This restaurant has two views as well as two entrance. One to the street, and another one to the beach. This place is very popular in the evenings, so plan accordingly. You might be waiting for good 45 min. The area by the bar is free seating. Opposite to the bar opens around 4:45pm. If you prefer seating outside in the sandy area, please check with the waitress and sign your name. This area is also at full sun in the afternoon hours. The tables have umbrellas, and they do not move. Waitresses are friendly and fast.
Great place. Cold drinks. Great food. Super staff
Was looking forward to Duke’s after several recommendations, but found the food and atmosphere to be lacking. The service was excellent, very friendly and prompt. The cocktails, particularly the Mai Tai, was both very strong in alcohol but also watery at the same time...no idea how that was possible, but it was. The food had decent flavour but over priced for what it was, would give the salad bar a miss next time. Our seating was far back in the restaurant so we didn’t get any sense of being near the beach, despite booking a week in advance. I’m sure the atmosphere would be much better on the deck area or at the beach bar, so suggest asking ahead.
Best breakfast in town, and it’s a buffet! The French toast was out of this world! It was so good that we’re going back again this weekend. We also came here at night to get a drink. This place gets super busy!! You can come in the morning and not have issues but if you want to do dinner, make a reservation.
Like others here, heard great reviews of this place. Call 2 days in advanced for reservations. Girl says she can give is 8:30, but informs us that it would be better to just show up and wait. On her advice, we show up at 7:15 and request outside seating. We are told that the wait is about an hour and fifteen minutes ....the wait in the area is extremely hot with no air no or fans. No where to get water. Finally seats us in a side room with wood paneling at 9pm. The menu is EXTREMELY LIMITED. Very few entres. Order the Calamari....small portion for $16. Waiter doesn't bring plates for table. Food comes and it was actually pretty good. Everyone at the table enjoyed it. Was a nice save....however, the service was subpar
We made our reservation for party of 7 about a week before our arrival. We were seated very quickly. Our waitress was so friendly and the food/drinks were great. We unfortunately had no room for dessert, so we'll have to come back just for that
Great food. Drinks are very good. Love the location right on the beach
Great lunch buffet as well as a nice dinner menu. Great atmosphere right on the beach for late evening cocktails. Always good service.
Loved this restaurant. Waited a long time to get a table I would recommend getting on the list for both inside and outside just go through to the back.
Wanted a little bite to eat after landing in Hawaii so we swung by here. This place is part of the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort. Tons of outside seating. There is even another section that on the beach (no sand so dont worry about dirty). Severs are very nice and work hard. We had the Fish and Chips. Nicely fried local fish and some good shoe lace french fries. This tasted very good with a Big Swell IPA.
We went here based off the previous reviews and weren't disappointed in the slightest! Our waiter Todd was on point. Not only did he know the menu to a T, he spent time with us to talk about places to go, beaches to see, and how to get around the island. The food was also excellent!! Thanks for a great dinner.
Had dinner here and then the breakfast buffet the following morning. Amazing view and atmosphere. It is right on the beach and reasonably priced. The food is great. We had coconut shrimp, tacos, and the duke's cheeseburger. The breakfast buffet isn't huge but has everything you would want for a standard American breakfast plus fried rice.
Duke's is a staple every time I visit the Island. The service is always fantastic and the food is just as equal, if not better. On my latest visit I had the pulled pork sandwich with chips. My server Todd recommended BBQ sauce to ship the chips in. And what a great recommendation that was. I hadn't ever dipped chips before, but now I might just all the time.
Ambiance is lively after dark. Music by the sea...good food. Cocktails. Always a good time.
Great service. The dessert was great (Hula ice cream pie), food was okay but nothing special.
Had best steak in Waikiki so far. Great service, good cocktails, big salad bar. Even serenaded at our table. Fabulous venue right by the beach. A " must do" when you're in Waikiki
HULA PIE. So good! I was only in Hawaii for 2 days and was told I must stop for Hula Pie, not only was the pie amazing but the fabulous manager, Dante, treated me so well. I went at 9am and he accommodated and went I went to pay Dante had taken care of the bill. So sweet and it definitely made my experience in Waikiki that much better. I will for ever recommend Duke's :)
The food is EXCEPTIONAL! My best friend and I ate here on our last night of our vacation and it was beyond what we were expecting. The drinks were tasty and the food was perfectly seasoned. We tried the sun dried tomato hummus, shrimp pasta and fillet steak with lobster. It was excellent! If you are visiting Oahu, I highly recommend the formal dining. (We only ate formal dining, but I'm sure casual dining is just as great)
Great atmosphere. We sat in the seat yourself location so getting a table wasn't to bad but had to be ready as soon as a party left. The food was great, for a good price. They had a live band and that was very nice and entertaining. The only reason the 4 star rating is because the drinks weren't very good. All and all will definitely go again

We had coconut shrimp, tacos, and the duke's cheeseburger. The breakfast buffet isn't huge but has everything you would want for a standard American breakfast plus fried rice.
Very nice restaurant on the beach. There is seating available that is first come first serve in the bar area that still has great views of the ocean. The shrimp was delicious! They also have a breakfast buffet at a reasonable price ($18).
PLEASE make sure that your entire party is with you when you arrive. They will not seat you otherwise. Plus parking for your car might be difficult in that immediate area - so we walked from our Hotel through the great sights of Waikiki. . . . but aside from that part the place was alive with joy, the restaurant was beautifully and culturally decorated in honor of Duke, Hawaii's Historic Surfer; and the great food was a good value, and very delicious. While I was there they actually had a group of musicians that went from table to table entertaining the guests. . . . I really had a blast.
Quality of food very poor. I had ordered from the menu, calamari tasted like imitation of crab meat sticks were deep fried, disgusting taste. I should had chosen the lunch buffet but I saw it only when I was leaving. Place is bazar but customers service is nice, our waiter was very nice and pleasant and very attentive. I definitely will never go back to Duke’s.
I can't put much words to say but i am just so in love with this place! I am stunned the moment I entered because I was amazed on how this place is so well-designed and comfortable. The food was amazing too! I get to try 2 of the meals they offered and both tastes good! Will absolutely go back to this place

Awesome place. The music was a little loud as we sat outside. Awesome service and food. Get the fish tacos.
We came here for dinner on our first week. I got the fish while my boyfriend got the steak. My fish was delicious! Mixed in with the capers made it incredibly flavorful, only part I didn't like was the rice which I should have substituted for the mashed potatoes, which by the way, are amazing. Presentation wise was beautiful! My boyfriend said the steak was a little chewy, but flavor wise, it was great! Hula pie is a must try. Our server was very kind to us as well. Thank you for a wonderful dinner!
Fun attentive staff. Good vibe. Strong drinks.
Great bar right on the beach. Only had drinks, but Kenny made them amazing!
Good place. The bar is good. They have open seating which makes it easier to find a table. The best part is it's facing the beach. The restaurant is super crowded but the food it good especially the fish entrees. I would highly recommend this place.
We had the buffet breakfast at 7am which was a great start to the day. Attentive staff and a really great selection available from fresh fruit to a full cooked breakfast. Nice outlook over Waikiki beach. It does pay to reserve a table which is easy online. Highly recommended
Always enjoy coming here. Great food and vibe. It took much longer to be seated because we had a large party but it was to be expected. Definitely recommend
I went for the buffet - it was good! fairly good value. I was however very disappointed in two things. 1) I could hear staff members making fun of a each other when I was at the buffet - one seemed to be the manager and I was very uncomfortable with how he was talking to staff (I was there Aug 18th for lunch around 12:30) 2) we waited half an hour to be seated and I saw lots of tables available. We were sat in the 'diamond head room' which does not have a view of the ocean. I was left very disappointed, but the food was good and fine value for Hawaii.
Great food and desserts! Famous place that is a huge tourist stop, so be prepared to wait. There is a separate seating area past the main podium for the outdoor seating right on the beach, so go there to sign up if you want that seating. Live music at night and a path to the water right by the outdoor seating to dip your toes in the water while you wait. Try the banana split shake for sure!
I enjoy the environment and atmosphere of Dukes. I had steak and fries with a long board beer first. I had chicken wings after. Service and food was great. I came late to eat and the kitchen was open to midnight on that specific night. Its funner if you go with a group of friends. There is a gigantic wooden long board inside which is around 20 plus feet. Beautiful koa wood inside dukes, and an outrigger canoe. Cant beat the ocean front tables as well. Mahalos
Enjoyed a nice dinner on the beach here. Unfortunately as they were so busy we got one of the less nicer tables at the very back in the corner so didn't have the best view of the beach. Ordered the nachos, which were cooked well and tasted great , very filling and lots of flavor.
Sat out on the patio for some drinks. They were super delicious but a little skimpy on the alcohol. Quite a bit of sugar too if you're into that. The coconut mojito was awesome and the lava flow was also really good. Service was good also
Great service and ambiance. They got one of our orders wrong but no worries, they were busy, it was delish anyway and they made it up to us with free dessert. All good!
Possibly the best pasta dish I've had in my life. Good drinks. Pretty sure the "dukes special Mai Thai" is just POG and Rum. Still good though.
Amazing food and staff. Great views. Was not rushed and i well attended to by friendly staff. Also really reasonable prices for the area and food quality.
Good food. fun atmosphere and great service

Great food and great experience! Lovely live Hawaiian music playing while enjoying great seafood and enjoying our view of the beach/ocean. Perfect!
Food is always fantastic at Dukes. Although it this was an interesting expierence... we had asked to sub out the nacho chips with their house made potato chips in their nachos and was told the chef refused because he thought it was gross, not because they couldn't do it but because he thought it was gross.
Amazing vibe and atmosphere. Very upbeat. Duke's salad was wide variety and delicious. Food was average. Shrimp pasta was the only highlight. But I would certainly go back for the restaurant's lively atmosphere next to the beach. Their ice cream cake was super yummy!
Great place for a Hawaiian food feel and atmosphere. Can be kinda touristy but amazing place to get some drinks and some of the best seafood I have ever had!
Great meals on Waiki Beach. Worth a visit. Make sure to set a reservation days in advance!
Visited about five years ago and happy to say the premises and food are still great. Had coconut chilli prawns with the classic beer sampler. Great dining experience, all staff well groomed, polite and experienced.
HULA PIE.
We've stayed at the Outrigger Waikiki twice and we love Dukes! It's always super busy so be prepared to wait, but it's worth it! Everything I've eaten there was excellent but the Lamb was, by far, the best Lamb I've ever had! I love the friendliness of the wait staff and how hard everyone works. I've never had a bad experience at Dukes! I love that it's right on the beach, too!
Duke's is touristy - the location is great, they have indoor and outdoor seating, it's right on the beach. Service is excellent, it's fine for large groups (with a reservation), families, or couples. The bar scene is lively. It's pricey (you're paying for the location and atmosphere), and the food is good but not amazing. I'd consider going back for drinks with my significant other, or for dinner with my family, but it's not a must-see.
I really appreciate this place! The atmosphere there is really nice and the dinner was awesome! I suggest you to take a salad with the dinner.
Great food. Amazing location. Happy decor. Not too expensive
Best food around. Great ambiance. Right on the beach. Buffet option and great drinks. Been amazing for 24 year.
Iconic must see/do. Occasional local live entertainment at happy hour. Got to watch a Dad playing in the band to his family and extended family right in front of him and us. His daughter even did a hula dance. It was priceless to me.
Disappointing food. Small portions. There was a 45 minute for dining room seating so we chose to eat in the bar section since we were starving after having come from the airport. the price of the steak and fries for the portion was too much in my opinion. the breaded chicken just seemed cheap ...like a cheap chicken patty ...macaroni salad was pretty good ... fries were just okay ...the aruluga salad was just okay the ranch dressing was good. I hear the hula pie was good. I may come back for that and a real meal from the dining room menu.
A well known Waikiki restaurant. Usually very crowded so make reservations. They also have a fantastic salad bar for an additional $5 charge - get it, you'll thank me later.
Came for a 9pm dinner reservation - food was amazing, waiter was great, drinks were great. Highly recommend for all around quality !
Hi everyone. Awesome place to eat. First time there. One of the many places to eat at Waikiki very filling. And good prices.
Very friendly staff and lots of customers. They allowed us to come a little later than the appointed time due to difficulty parking in the area. My beet salad was tasty but my family felt burgers were nothing unusual. Would still recommend based on the atmosphere, overlooking the ocean and nice staff.
We sat down and waited 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge us. When we got tired of waiting, the man we asked about service wasn’t our server and had a lady come over who proceeded to asked us if we were ready to order. We hadn’t even received menus at this point. Ultimately the service got better but if our waitress was too busy all she had to do was acknowledge us and say ‘I’ll be right with you’, which she could have done since she walked by us a few times prior to us discovering she’d be serving us.
Where else can you eat Coconut Shrimp and watch surfers on Waikiki Beach? Okay I am from the Midwest so for me this is the only place. The bar is amazing with grass covered umbrellas in the outdoor portion. The service was great and the beer cold! Duke's Blonde Ale was very tasty. A crisp light beer flavored with lemon peel and served with a lemon wedge. The Coconut Shrimp were very large, meaty, and succulent. The shrimp was accompanied by a unique delicious light tasty chili sauce and served on a huge bowl of fries. And since we are in Hawai'i our food was adorned with an orchid. The food was a little pricey but probably not for Waikiki Beach
Duke’s delivers. Not often that a popular tourist spot can also have great service and great food. We got them both at Dukes on our last visit.
Me and my boyfriend love the pies and the drinks! Definitely a must go! Right on the beach and just an amazing time.
Superb spot to enjoy a healthy meal and be close to the beach. The staff is very attentive and the food is delicious. I really enjoyed the buffet salad bar and a fresh Poke Bowl!
What can say about as icon restaurant on the beach of Waikiki? This place rocks! Great food, nice service staff, outstanding view. A must if you go to Oahu.
Gods to help my stomach out. Hostess said it was a 5 min wait and we were seated promptly. It turns out that the oceanview seating has the highest of wait times. So be prepared if you are dying to eat with a view. The only view I was dying for was the view of food being delivered to my table and then into my stomach.
I absolutely loved the ambience. We sat outside and had a view of Waikiki Beach and it was fabulous. The food was delish. I had fish tacos without all the extra spices which is what I wanted. The second time I went there I had Ono fish which was absolutely delicious. I love Dukes.
Food was delicious and the local family Hawaiian band doing pop music and Hawaiian music was captivating. My highest praise goes to the staff. Despite being crowded a table outside was found very quickly and our server demonstrated such profound kindness, warmth and attentiveness is was an emblematic and beautiful testament to the continuity and power of the true aloha spirit. Thank you from our family to the Duke's Waikiki family.
Our favorite restaurant. Service is fast, efficient and personable without being intrusive. Great Hawaiian music which is hard to find even on Hawaii. The salad bar is superb. Reservations are a must. Wait can be over an hour for walk up. The railing overlooking the beach is best.
Always busy so make a reservation if you don’t want to wait. Wait times can be an hour or more. Food was great, staff was friendly and attentive, fun environment. We ate out on the lanai, so the breeze coming off the beach was amazing. Would go back again!
Amazing dinner & dessert! We'll be back! Korean Street tacos & Coors Light, Steak & Chips, La Haina drink, Hula Pie for dessert! Delicious! Extra special Aloha & Thank you to Michelle, Darren, & Chelsea for a Great Oceanside sunset experience!
Excellent meal. Be sure to make a reservation as this place is very popular. We had several fish entrees and the salad bar, all of which were delicious. The menu had excellent options. Be sure to order fish if coming here. Definitely would recommend to others, and will be returning in the future.
Food was the best in town, fresh fish was my choice very well cooked yet had so much flavor. My kid got the seafood platter which came with the this lobster bisque that was amazing for a topping. Even the kids menu my daughter got a pasta dish that she swears was the best Italian pasta shes ever tried, went their twice it was so good , patio view was astonishing with the tiki fires were lit eating with my family great moment to remember in Hawaii
Always busy but service is always good. Once in a while we order dinner there at the bar and it was great! Food was tasty and drinks were great! Staff is always friendly and attentive also!
I rarely leave my reviews especially when it’s not good but the food was not good at all. I waited 38 minutes for “ fine dining”.... fine dining usually involves table cloths. I asked the waiter repeatedly if the ribs were really grilled he said yes. Now I don’t know if there are ribs on the casual dining menu ( and I got the ole switcheroo) but I’ve had better ribs at Friday’s and Outback Steakhouse than the ribs I got off the “ fine dining “ menu . Fries are over baked stale fries from the freezer section. Had better food at non franchise restaurants I’ve eaten at this past week like Sorabol. The two stars was from the waiter , he was good. ......
Duke's is synonymous with Waikiki. It's a nice place right on the water. Service is good and friendly. Prices are too bad either. Service - 4 Prices - 3 Food/drinks - 3 Comfort - 4
There was quite a wait for dinner the night before so make sure you have a reservation if you want to have dinner. We ended up going for lunch the next day instead. We were seated right away. The lunch buffet was really good and the price was very reasonable. We tried the original pie for dessert and we highly recommended just going for it!
Beautiful views. The salad bar was better the. The steak we ordered. My daughter loved the fish. Descent. Long waiting. Dinner starts at 5pm and we got there at 4 PM. The bar seemed seemed to have a better casual food selection.
Good selection of food for the buffet menu. We have tried both breakfast and lunch buffet. Cozy and warm atmosphere, right on the beach.
Generic touristy hotel food. The fish and chips were pretty unremarkable, and the burger is about like what you’d get at a Chili’s on the mainland. The fries were unimpressive, they taste like they were reheated from frozen. But no complaints about the service or the view - both are phenomenal.
Love this place great views! Great drinks & food. Nice place to hang out, right off the sand. Good service, we sat at the bar.
The lunch buffet is great if you're pressed for time. Service is attentive and quick. Great beach vibes!
Best lunch ever! We had the lunch buffet and not only was it reasonably priced, but all of the items were freshly made and delicious! The salad bar had a good variety. Favorites: salad bar with papaya dressing, white fish with sauce, pulled pork with cabbage, tomato chowder and spicy broccoli salad.
Awesome dinner here. The appetizers were amazing, the dinner was excellent. I can't say enough good things about the experience at Duke's. I would definitely eat here again.
Great breakfast buffet. Highly recommend banana pancakes. Cocktails are also great. $5 mimosas are also a plus.
Ok food and service. Great view of the beach if you can get a good seat. Very famous so it's crowded. Dinner reservations sometimes have to be made days in advance (depending on the time of year)
The dinner was very good. My filet had a little bit of fat in it but was very tasty. We did the salad bar this visit and it was delicious.
Please read this to end because I can’t believe how bad this was. To start me and two family members walk in and ask for a table with a view of beach (remember that) and are told there’s an 80 minute wait. Ok, not terrible for a table on the beach during dinner hour. Come back after 80 minutes and are told pretty briskly by the hosts at front that there’s still a wait. We wind up sitting there for another hour. I had gone up 45 minutes in to ask politely if we were almost ready to be seated. The hostess cuts me off mid sentence and says they need to wait on others to move. Finally we sit down and “the view” is completely blocked by bushes so we can’t even see the beach. There was also a kiosk set up machine right next to us so waiters were constantly rushing to a fro around us. About ten minutes in I see something moving in the bushes and point it out. After looking closer we realize the bushes are infested with roaches. Mention this to waiter and they’re not surprised at all but rather move us somewhere else (after waiting over two hours for that seat). At this point we just pray that the food is good. Appetizers come out, $18 for two mediocre crab cakes. Then the entrees come out and are so soaked in oil I wound up throwing it up that same night. One of the worst dining experience I’ve ever had, please just stick to something local and not this utter mess.
I really was looking forward to dinning at this restaurant. The views are awesome. The ribs I had was great tasting but it was over priced for the amount you received. The French fries were cold. The pineapple iced tea was refreshing. The hula pie was worth the trip. It was outstanding.
Great spot for amazing service and awesome food. I l love that I can sit right on the beach. Amazing views.
Stopped in to check it out and the atmosphere was incredible! There was a ukulele competition taking place, so that was a bonus. But the real winner of the morning was the Coconut Mojito... super delicious accompanied with a warm ocean breeze and a kid singing Bohemian Rhapsody while playing the ukulele.
My friend from Australia and I (from Ohio) vacationed in Waikiki and we were here a lot. It was the "go to" place for awesome drinks, ocean views and the most amazing Mai Tais! The food was wonderful; breakfast lunch and dinner! The sunsets are unmatched with words.
Good atmosphere on the beach. Cold beer and live music till about 7.00. Casual dining at the bar area was great. Good service good food. Don't order to much!
We decided to go there after a long day walking in Waikiki. It was a really good plan. We ordered a lot of amazing cocktails and the ambiance was real nice.
If you are going to go, don't eat at the restaurant. The menu is small, and the meal is Aloha expensive. The bar has the better menu and the better seating for a casual dining experience. The food was good however, and the drinks were well made. We had a great time bringing our out of town visitors here after a fun day at the beach.
Amazing fish tacos - grilled fish in delicious, warm tacos served with avocados and salsa, although they were flavorful enough on their own. And then there was the dessert - absolutely divine. Crisp chocolate and macadamia base with a huge mound of ice cream, nuts and hot chocolate fudge...YUM YUM!!! Oh and the chicken sandwich was great too.....
I can't put much words to say but i am just so in love with this place! I am stunned the moment I entered because I was amazed on how this place is so well-designed and comfortable. The food was amazing too! I get to try 2 of the meals they offered and both tastes good! Will absolutely go back to this place
The staff is SO NICE AND HELPFUL. Was sitting at the bar area so "first sitting first served arrangement" which wasn't a problem. Veggie burger was super yummy and satisfying. + 2 lava flow cocktails (incredible cocktail
An icon in the heart of Waikiki and one I always go back to when I am visiting. The food is generous, fresh and very tasty with a menu to suit all tastes. The location right on the beach just adds to Duke's ambience. Highly recommended.
The service here is definitely worth a praise! We had a very attentive server. Props!
I was told to come here and it was definitely the right tip! Probably the best steak I've had in a couple years. Great service and the music was great too. Get a reservation or you won't get in for dinner. I recommend a couple days before
Really enjoyed this establishment. Had a great time listening to the live music. We were fortunate enough to walk in and get a table. Like it enough to make reservations for dinner, which of course was very good. Only issue would be the wait if you did not have reservations. Many people crowded the area waiting.
We ate at the breakfast buffet twice and went to dinner once. The buffet was excellent and affordable compared to other buffets in the area. Dinner was delicious. My husband got the fish with capers and I got a steak. The steak was probably one of the best I ever had and the fish was excellent too. We both went to the salad bar and were pleased at the selections. This was our only “fancy” dinner of our trip but felt like the price was right for how good everything was. They even had a little band with ukeleles serenade each table.
Kenny at the bar was great. Service was average once seated however. Took some time to take drink orders, though food came out in a reasonable time once ordered. I thought the ribs OK. My partner said the fish was dry.
Nice bar in Waikiki. I always go here whenever I'm in Waikiki just to have a nice place to sit while watching the ocean. The main reason I love going though is for their live bands that play on the weekend, especially for Kapena. Finding a table on their bar side can be tricky since its a popular place.
This is a wonderful place. The service is helpful, and it has an amazing view of the sea. The item I ordered was the Chef’s Burger. It was one of the best burgers I’ve had, and it’s components only added onto the flavor of each other. Though if you order this, make sure to cut it in half before eating it because it has quite a few toppings in it that make it fairly tall. This place has my recommendation!
Dukes was awesome. Food was excellent, real nice view of the beach and ocean and a trio of musicians going table to table playing music Had an excellent server Travis, I believe. I will definitely be going back. I'd recommend planning ahead and getting a reservation.
Another "must" for the island! The food and drinks are pricey, but delicious! There are people just inside the restaurant making and selling fresh leis, and the small gift shop has some nice selections. Outside there is a flea market, but not the best on the island (the one in the Aloha Stadium parking lot is much larger and offers better prices).
We had dinner here as our last meal in Honolulu. Great location on Waikiki street, and you can ask for a outdoor seat with a sunset view. Food is nice and staff are friendly. Price not cheap but reasonable. What else can you ask for?
Went to this location as Dukes a family favourite. Restaurant was large, and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast buffet was delicious, and price of $18 wasn’t terrible considering the nearby options. The Hula Pie is a must. Breakfast, lunch or dinner, you must get it!
Very very good food. It is expensive though. The fish n chips is $19 and you get three tiny fillets... very tasty but small portions. It’s right on the beach and the staff is friendly.
The drinks alone make this place amazing. It's right on the beach so you can eat outside or inside. The burgers were delicious.
Duke's has the best meal along with delicious appetizers in Waikiki. I was here 2 weeks and by far great atmosphere plus casual with perfect setting for toasting the sunsets. Almost for got to add there is also a helpful professional staff...Cheers
This is the best restaurant in Waikiki. Hands down. Not only is the food great, but the people are incredible and the atmosphere is fantastic! This is the best place for any special celebration or just a great evening in Hawaii!
Definitely amazing food and service. Came here for dinner, it was so amazing I came back later in the week to try their breakfast. I hope you could come by and experience this place yourself.
Nice spot right off the beach. Friendly atmosphere, decently priced drinks, tropical ones $10, beers 6.5 service was excellent. Had the Kalua pulled pork sandwich $15 which was delicious and filling. Buddy had a Panko Chicken which he said was really good for $16.50
Best lunch experience on Waikiki and great value! Came here 5x during our trip and variety is usually the spice of our life. Buffet highly Recommended!
Duke’s has THE BEST salad bar! We ordered steaks and you could almost cut it with a fork it was so tender. And the flavor....oh my word!! Definitely a must if your in Waikiki.
A classic place to go when on vacation or for a special occasion. Highly recommend the butter fish. Great views at all times of the day but especially for sunset! Staff is very friendly and helpful. Reservations are not required but will ensure you do not wait a few hours for a table. For appetizers the hummus is very good with local Hawaiian flavors incorporated!
MAKE A RESERVATION! This place is hopping, even on a weeknight. Food is good and comes very quickly. Atmosphere is nice, but be prepared to dine with nature with the outside seating - day or night.
I dig the lunch buffet. Lots of good choices. One of the few places in the area where you can have a lot of salad. After a few days of poke, sashimi, and heavier food, salad really hit the spot. And you basically are on the beach. Nice vibe.
You look out on the ocean from you table. Great staff, they work as a team Make sure to have reservations or long wait for table. Excellent food!!!!!
Excellent breakfast buffet and omelet station. Fruit was fresh. Fairly priced for Hawaii. Can be busy but service is excellent. Views of Waikiki beach.
Great fish tacos. Cajun style is my favorite. The Prime rib is outstanding with garlic mashed potatoes. Ask for it Pupu style (cut in one inch cubes) if with a group. Feeds two easily. Round Tables near the bar are open seating. No need wait. Go towards Diamond Head side for best tables.
I love their breakfast buffet and the atmosphere there. The lunch is good and the prices are reasonable. We went there 3 times and we enjoyed our food each time
Great location nice beach views. Food is ok nothing special. Crowded make a reservation if more than 2
Everything here was delicious! Service was incredible, the food my husband and I both got was delicious, and the waiter was great. Highly recommend it, make sure you get the pie! (We got the special pie of the day with coffee flavored ice cream. SO GOOD)
Underwhelming food yesterday. I had the seafood soup with coconut shrimp and chips. My husband had the fish and chips as well as seafood soup. The soup had very little flavor and tasted like it was canned. The coconut shrimp was good but not compared to Hula Grill's. The fries were soggy and not that great, no seasoning, so I didn't eat very many. Best Lava Flow of my vacation though. We told them it was our first time to Dukes Waikiki (and it was our 5 year wedding anniversary, island-hopped from Maui yesterday morning and drove there from the airport), and we got the crappiest seats in the house inside with no ocean view. I would have been willing to wait a while for a better view. Guess I should have said something. We walked outside for pics when we were done. Service was good. Likely won't be back.
All around amazing food. Chef is an angel!! The view breathtaking
Food was good but service is average. Very busy so were very slow to take food and drink orders and deliver what was ordered. Great view but everyone is crammed in. Quite a hot night and very few fans to circulate the air. Much nicer places to go for that price.
Had the opportunity to check out Duke's at the beginning of May 2019. Actually it was so good we went twice. Each time I had the Waikiki Hot Wings. Man are they good!! A Buffalo hot wing style with a twist. I couldn't put my finger on it, but they were great. My first visit I also had a cheeseburger. It was pretty good. On my second visit I also had the fish tacos. Wonderful!! Live music topped off our experience! Overall I highly recommend visiting Duke's. Try and get a seat on the patio close to beach and enjoy the view.
(We only ate formal dining, but I'm sure casual dining is just as great)
Always consistently good....through and through. Prices are not unreasonable and the selection is good!
Great restaurant. A must experience on the islands. Went to it both in Waikiki and Kauai.
Great place for the Hawaiian atmosphere and it’s right on the beach. It’s really big and there’s a lot of places to sit, but every time we went it was really busy so we couldn’t find a seat. Luckily one night we were able to catch an open seat at the small bar. They don’t have a big bar menu to choose from, I think they need to add more food options. Overall it was a cool place to hang out at. They have a daily brunch that is just under $20 and it is definitely worth going. Waikiki is expensive so why not go to a brunch where you have many breakfast items to choose from.
Come for the breakfast buffet. Its only $18. The waiters are very attentive and polite. The vibe is mellow and it's right on the beach. Lots of local and classic breakfast food. Enjoy!
Food was awesome. Waiter was wonderful. Entertainment was fantastic.
Beautiful scenery. Great food. My favorite place in Waikiki!
Very nice restaurant on the beach. There is seating available that is first come first serve in the bar area that still has great views of the ocean. The shrimp was delicious! They also have a breakfast buffet at a reasonable price ($18).
I came here once with my parents 6 years ago and it was great. I liked it so much I came back 6 years later! I had the Monchong on our server Mark’s recommendation. It was excellent. We also had the hula pie which was delicious. Also the Mai Tai was great!
Fantastic view! Server was super friendly and helpful. Great beach side destination to be sure to check out!
Dukes was a great location but packed! There are two separate sign in locations for main dining and patio which has a limited menu along with the open seating bar. Servers were attentive, but slammed so a bit slow. Food was above average but nothing crazy. Gaint free ice cream for birthday and beautiful views. Def worth a visit.
A must see even if just to listen and enjoy the talent of new and experienced ukelele performers. Keeping the culture alive a growing. Aloha abundant!!!
Stopped in for drinks from the beach. This was one of my favorite places during this trip. Our bartender, Shea blew me away with his great service. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Shea took the time to get to know us even though he was busy at the bar and we appreciated it so much. Thank you!
Book in advance to ensure a good table! My kids loved the experience as there is so much going on, the people watching is fun and the atmosphere is lively. Our servers were lovely and friendly, food was quick to arrive and tasted great. The cocktails are really fun and you could easily spend a few hours here just soaking in the sunshine. A visit to Duke’s is a must do! I’ll be back for sure.
This place is awesome, and it’s got it all: location, food, service and prices. The location is amazing, one of the best in Waikiki. The food is delicious; we tried the breakfast buffet and enjoyed the variety of choices. The waiters are accommodating and friendly; we wanted to change our table because we basically sat next to a pillar and they were accommodating and changed it to an ocean front table right away. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. A breakfast buffet at $18 in a place like Waikiki is quite fair priced. So thanks for an enjoyable meal, and special thanks for those yellow watermelons. They were delicious and new to us!
Told wait was about 20 minutes for our party of four. After 35 minutes and a couple of trips to the front hostess we were finally seated. Ordered wings and they were served with celery sticks along with a long, curly, black hair. Server was apologetic and immediately took dish back and had manager speak with us. Got new order of wings and their special sauce was gross. Very disappointed; however dish was compted and a free dessert was served- have to say it was spectacular! Skip the meal and go straight to dessert- a real treat!
Great atmosphere and service. The food was good with not over the top portions. There was room for chocolate cake which was delicious. Have also been here for cocktails in the afternoon overlooking the beach. Dukes would be my favourite place in Waikiki.
Had some snotty teen age girls act high and mighty at the check in but had an amazing experience after. The manager and our waitress were awesome and we had an exceptional experience the next day at the beach. I would definitely recommend as long as you can deal with high school immaturity that is hopefully being addressed.
Just had to go here. Legendary place, good food. Sat outside, lovely sunset and great weather.
