The appetizers are trash here. Their bowl will blow your mind. I ate a Korean bowl and shared with 3 others at my table. The portions are huge and delicious. I went here it was packed, they told me 15 minutes of wait time, 5 minutes later I was seated with my party of 4. After ordering in another 5 minutes our food was on table in another 5 to 10. I was very impressed.

Great food! Quick takeout order even when they were slammed, stayed open late which was nice because we needed food after landing late. The ONLY reason I have my review at 3 stars is due to allergies. I have Celiac (NO gluten) and I got sick after eating here. They reassured me that everything was not cross contaminated and was safe for an allergy, but the pork still left me feeling sick, both that night and the next day. Sad as the service was awesome and the food was really good. There weren’t a lot of gluten free options and the prices were pretty spendy, but I suppose you can charge that much when your food is as good as it is. Again, the staff was awesome! But sadly can’t give more than a 3 for getting sick with their food. Sorry! If you don’t have an allergy (my mom also ate with me). This food seems excellent, a real hole-in-the-wall place that seems to feed crowds from dawn till dusk (or pretty close).

Awesome local place, right down the street from the airport (and the Costco) It's a good place to start your Maui adventure because it's easy to find and has some Hawaiian staples, and it's a good place to end it as well because they have twists on those staples like their fried spam musubi, and all the variations on moco loco. Bring friends though because the portion sizes are fit for sharing.

Be prepare to wait. This place is crowded! The food is good and come with an empty stomach. The serving size can feed 2 to 3 people. They do provide doggie bag take out in case you can't finish what you ordered. There are plenty of parking spaces. Also, do be attention when you put yourself on the list when you're dining in. The machine had a glitched and I have to wait more than 30 minute only to f ine out that the machine never got my name in the system.

Great restaurant near the airport. We came after here after our rental car from Sixt. Very friendly staff. We took the mix plate. Very huge portions. It’s more than enough for two people. We also visited the express restaurant in Kihei, that one wasn’t as good as this one.

This place is located in a strip mall. It is usually crowded for good reason - local flavors with some creativity and healthy sizes portions. The place is close to the airport and Costco, so visitors should hit up this place the first thing after arriving on the island.

I ordered the fried spam Musubi and the Loco Moco. The fried spam Musubi was good but I still prefer the regular non fried version but to each their own. The loco moco was amazing. The dish was definitely bigger than I expected and I could not finish the entire thing. It was really delicious but omg, I was stuffed. No wonder the price tag was that high. Come hungry if you plan to visit Da Kitchen.

We wanted some Hawaiian food. The menu looked pretty decent online with promising reviews. We went for an early dinner around 4 PM. We were immediately seated and had drinks ordered. After a minute with the menu we were asked for our orders. That was the highlight of our meal. Absolutely NO seasoning on the fries, potato mac salad, rice, or quinoa. None whatsoever. The entire experience was a disappointment.

The first time I had the kitchen I thought the food was delicious. This trip went back with the family and thought the food wasn't as good. Everything tasted so blah the appetizers were like frozen food you get at the market and fried and served with sauce. The food was not very good at all. Order loco moco , Hawaiian platter fried seafood platter ,shau mai , fried musbi and more. Couldn't really say what was good. Dont think I will go back anymore. Pretty sad since it was always a must go on every maui trip. Only plus this time was our food came out pretty fast. Last time I waited almost 40 mins to get my food.

Really great food. Not a ton of seating, so took a little bit to get in, but so worth the wait. Shared with my wife and was more than enough. (Update) I came back again right before our flight home and was more than impressed. The dish featured on man vs food was awesome as well as the dish featured on diners, drive-ins, and dives. Both were amazing. Will definitely go there again when I visit Maui again.

Go hungry! Portions are huge! Food is consistent and ono (delicious). Good, fast service. There's always a line of people waiting to be seated because the place is so popular, but their fancy check-in text messaging system makes it go by quickly. Heard a lot about this local restaurant and decided to join a friend and family here. First impression while entering establishment was how busy they were. It was noon so expected to wait a little before being seated. We got a corner booth by the door and it was miserably hot. Already put us in an irritable mood as there was no air conditioning and the ceilings were quite high and no fans either, unless we didn't see them. Our server was nice but did forget our drink, which he did bring it in the middle of our meal and he added an additional side order we did not request. Took awhile to flag another waitress to get more napkins as well. Prices are pretty high but there are a few plates that are huge in portion size. Ordered the teriyaki burger which was tasty with fries but a little small. The fried spam musubi was really good, highly recommend and a chicken salad.

I had the Polynesian Paralysis Moco and loved it! When I am hungry I can eat a lot. This meal put me just at the edge of my limit (great portion size!). Definitely a must visit whether you are a Maui local or visitor.

The food at Da Kitchen is delicious, and the staff are welcoming and friendly! Although there was a wait, that wasn’t a problem, and it wasn’t an unreasonable amount of time. The reason I only gave four stars was because the server came to take our order far to early, so we were not sure what we wanted. We should have told her that, but instead we ordered without much planning and ended up spending far more than we would have liked. The portions are enormous, as well as the prices, so I recommend sharing everything. We would have been happy to pay a bit less for some smaller serving sizes, but Da Kitchen chose large prices and large sizes. Be sure that you plan your meal with your table before ordering!

Food was absolutely excellent and came out right. However, my reason for leaving 3 stars is the fact that our waitress did nothing aside from taking our orders and bringing a plate. We had to ask for every single drink refill, which was four drinks despite her taking care of the table next to ours. She kept up with the table next to ours more so than our own. It almost felt like bias regarding local vs. tourist. One other problem we encountered was that we found a roach crawling on the wall behind us. We killed it and showed it to one of the hosts as we left as our waitress was nowhere to be found and we were just ready to go at that point. The host only responded with a surprised “oh” and left it at that. But all that aside, the Hawaiian NY steak and teriyaki chicken are fantastic and definitely recommend.

Place is great! First place we went after landing and picking up our Jeep. We heard of this place and they also have multiple locations but this one by the airport is great I’m sure the other ones are too. Lots of space for parking don’t be surprised if you see chickens running around by the parking lot it’s part of the Maui package. There was a wait but it’s all electronically so you put your name and phone number on this iPad and it will tell you where you are on the waitlist by following this link on your phone that they send you. Definitely worth the 30 min wait. We were greeted right away and our food order was taken fast too. Food was amazing, great atmosphere they also have T-shirt’s, hats and other stuff to buy there. Great service as well and the place is clean. A place you MUST go visit.

Wow, just wow. Had the Notorious BIG Moco and it was legit two meals. Delicious sausage, beef, egg, fried spam and God know what else on top of fried rice. Expensive like most food on Maui, but you can get two meals out of many items. If you're hungry getting off the plane, start here.

The menu here is Hawaiian comfort food on full blast. Loco moco of all types, noodles, spam musubi, you think of it, they've got it. The decor here is fun and beachy and the staff is friendly and super chill. But let's get to the food shall we? The appetizers here were really good with our favorite being the deep fried spam musubi (crispy on the outside but soft on the inside). The lumpia was good but a tad greasy.

The gravy was kind of lacking in flavor. The burger itself was good. We chose greens over macaroni salad. The greens goes very well with the meal. It balance all the carb you are consuming. The dressing is amazing. Kalbi Fried Noodle was good. The meat was cooked perfectly. The noodle went well with the kalbi meat combination. I like how they had the meat slicer and mixed with the noodle, but they also give you a piece attached to the bone Their lemonade is delicious and comes in a mason jar. Goes well with most of the meal and is fresh. Service: Very excellent service. Waitress was around often and made sure we were okay. The host was also very sweet. Ambience: Lively music playing in the background. Surf theme throughout the walls. Seats and tables were made of wood. Kind of makes you feel cozy and somewhere near the sea feel. Plenty of seats, but the place is always busy. Amenities: Restroom is located outside. Restrooms are clean. Plenty of parking as well.

Super heavy food with huge portions. They have a food challenge that's pretty tough to beat. If you're hungry and don't mind salty and greasy and huge portions, come here. I have to say that many of the items actually seem like a decent deal. Their fried spam musubi is pretty good.

This was our last stop in Maui before heading back home and we were so glad we stopped in! We shared the Fried Spam Musubi and the Loco Moco (as well as the Juice!!) and we were in no way disappointed! Service was fast and good! So sad we had to leave Maui, but we'll be back again!

It's very good and you get generous portions. Customer service is great but if you really know Hawaiian original food you can find other inexpensive restaurants with better taste. It's better to make a reservation upfront if you don't want to be waiting for long time specially during peak season.

terrific family restraunt. Ate here with our kids around sixth. the place was packed with people waiting (they were quoting a 25 minute wait) but the food was so worth it! I had kahlua pork-so yummy!

Tasty but expensive. The fried spam musubi was ono, and the portions are generous. So overall 4 stars. Minus 1 star for the Shrimp Shu Mai with sweet Thai chili sauce. Way too expensive. It just Ajinomoto Shrimp Shu Mai with run of the mill sweet chilli from a bottle for ~$7. Nah. Don't do that. Coco Ichibana Curry House sells the same fried Shrimp Shu Mai sans chilli sauce for ~$1.95. That's a decent markup. The two pics I put are the raw materials. --- *Update* manager reached out. Just for the record, I didn't mean don't eat here, the food was the delicious the rose water spritzer was delicious and my burger was huge and awesome. Please, eat here. It's a good, tasty place with good service to boot. Just don't order the shrimp shu mai!

So good we went back a second time in 2 days! First time we had the kalbi ribs and pork belly bowl. The ribs were cooked right and were marinaded to perfection. The pork belly was tender with a perfect outer bark to provide some crunch. Our 2nd round we went for the ahi poke bowl and tempura mahi mahi. The mahi mahi was flaky and moist on the inside and that perfect tempura crunch on the outside. The ahi was melt in your mouth tender and fresh. The spicy mayo turns it up a notch and pairs nicely with the ahi. HONORABLE MENTION: FRIED SPAM MASUBI (get it!)

I have had many great experiences at Da Kitchen. The food and service has been wonderful. My most recent visit on Sept 23 was less than great. I ordered a tofu teri veggie bowl and when I found out you were out of tofu I opted instead to ask for a veggie and rice teri bowl. I was told I could not do this and would have to order the rice and veggies separately. No problem. I asked that they be tossed together in a bowl with teri sauce. I was again told the chef would not do this. So i asked for the sides and an empty bowl so i could mix myself. My rice came out. 15 minutes later, after asking twice, my veggies followed and a side of teri sauce with it but no bowl. I have to ask twice for a bowl before finally being able to mix my now cold food together in it. Honestly, this type of service does not reflect what is typical at this place. That being said, I will think twice before returning or recommending this to anyone. The service industry is called that because it revolves around serving the customers what they want or need within reason. Nothing I asked for was unreasonable or impossible. I don't expect a server at my table to tell me a chef can't mix rice veggies and teri sauce in a bowl. It's pretty rediculous.

Great sit down restaurant with fantastic food. Portions are very generous and really quite affordable for what you get and it being Maui. Would recommend if you're by the airport and looking for a quickish bite. You can probably be in and out in 35-45 minutes. We went for dinner and had a great meal, our server was excellent too!

My new favorite noodle spot on Maui Food is crazy good - so many flavors. They have a very extended menu with something for everyone. Reasonably priced and cool gifts too. Staff is great.

The Juice is freakin delicious! Food was delicious and the portions were giant. Great leftovers. Took a little while but once we got seated, the staff were extremely competent and gave good recommendations.

I'm basing this review only on the fact that they use ATLANTIC FARMED SALMON. If you don't know, now you know. I'm sure there are plenty of other delicious food to eat, but I just cannot believe anyone still eats/buys farmed salmon. Ugh gross!!!!

Fried spam musubi! Need I say more? This place gets busy for dinner. You could go earlier (like before 5pm ish) or order carry out to avoid waiting for a table. The kimchi crab cake was so good. I wished I had known there was only one to an order because I would have ordered two so I wouldn't have had to share with my sister. The Kalua wontons were good too. I think it's obvious you have to order the fried spam musubi here. There's a bit too much rice in it since the spam is sandwiched between the rice but the flavor is still good. My boyfriend had the Kalua pork sandwich which had a good amount of pork in it. My sister and I had shared the poke bowl, which I believe was a special. There was a lot of rice in the bowl too but the poke itself was delicious. This location is close enough to the airport so it's worth going to on the way or from the airport. It's in a strip mall so there's parking for the mall.

Score! We totally lucked out with this place. The doors opened at 11:00am, the line was out the door. Super casual, kinda noisy but OMG the food! Be prepared to take food home or just share. The service is pretty quick and OMG the food! Definitely on our must go to list from now on.
