Truly a Cheeseburger in paradise! One of the best burgers I have EVER had! We had a great seat on the second level next to the ocean. Atmosphere and decor are fun! Our server was not the friendliest. Hopefully she was just having an off day.

We go here everytime we go on vacation to Maui. Food is always just the best, view overlooking the ocean is amazing. Some of the reviews seem to indicate the tacos or sandwiches aren't great, which I honestly have never tried. If you're going to a place called Cheeseburger in Paradise, you should really go for the burgers. The burgers are great, and so are the onion rings. Will continue to come back here every visit.

Right on the waterfront, Great atmosphere, you're pretty tightly packed in. Split a plain cheeseburger for a light meal. Great bun, not a lot of flavor, but not terrible. Cheeseburger with bbq sauce, onion ring & bacon was tastier. Fries are good. Service will depend on your server. Sunday night music was a nice addition. A tourist trap for sure, but you're on vacation so no worries!

Great views of the ocean. Staff was very nice, even when we had a kiddo with us. They do ask that you move your stroller to the side. You cannot take them into the restaurant even if the kid is sleeping. Food: onion rings were perfectly cooked. Burgers were really tasty. Go to the second floor if possible!

Cute spot, good choice of burgers. Food was good, kids like the Mac & cheese/ fries... Bbq bacon burger was real good, 7 oz. Patty's will fill you up.... Definitely pricey tho... family of 7 will put a dent in your wallet.... nice spot overall, and right on the beach.

The service here is amazing! I ordered the fish tacos. The portions here are very generous. The fish was delicious but the tortillas were pretty bland. The views can't be beat from this restaurant. Ask to be seated upstairs in the evening where there is nightly live music and incredible sunset views.

Fifteen years later (wow! It’s been that long) and the place is still awesome! Really great burgers and a nice selection of adult beverages! You can either take in the magnificent view of the ocean or even opt for the other side for some of the best people-watching on Front Street.

A very close second to Cool Cats quality wise, with a wonderful view from every seat. Excellent beer on Tap and occasional live music. Reasonably priced for waterfront dining and I have to say the servers are excellent here. You should have at least one meal here when you visit. They also have nice Gluten Free buns for the wierdos in your group :-).

Food is not worth the price, neither are their drinks. Made with cheap liquor and fruit isn't fresh. (which shouldn't be an issue on Maui) Place needs a deep clean.

Such a fabulous place! We have been eating there for over 20 years - as much for the atmosphere as the food - both of which are unforgettable. The memories never leave you. Having a stressful day? Service was just amazing! Jennifer took the time to take my kids orders which they loved. Then we nerded out talking about Star Wars. Even the manager checked on us several times. And the food... We were all in paradise.

Was okay at best. Burgers were large but other than that....not any different from most places. Not fast food but not world famous quality either. The onion rings were terrible. Hard to chew and we really couldn’t find much onion in them. All cutlery was very dirty....good thing it was all finger food.

Returned to this place for dinner, we went there for lunch last time we were on Maui. I had the pork taco. Great BBQ pork, fresh and crispy cabbage Cole slaw, yum! I gave 4 not 5 stars because the two tacos did not fill me up. Hmm, maybe they can add a 3-taco option? Maybe not getting full was my fault, we went on a hike and went snorkeling earlier! Location is right on the water, I mean, over the water! Large windows are wide open on both sides. This gives great cross breeze, sound of the waves and some street sounds too. My picture is a street view - you can see right through to the ocean! BTW, we were seated on the upper level.

Delicious burger and we really enjoyed reading the story of the owners inside the menu. What an incredible location! The food, the staff and the location were all fantastic. An added touch was the fun license plates on the ceiling. Fun way to play a game before your food comes!

$7.49 for 2 eggs, toast, hash browns and coffee or tea. Sub for an english muffin for $1 more. Just enough to get your day going. Hash brown tasted bland and like old oil. Nice view, fun atmosphere. Full bar, $6 mimosas. Excellent and attentive service.

We liked this place so much we went twice, once for lunch and again (another day) for dinner. I loved the upstairs seating. There is a wonderful breeze and it just makes you feel like you are "in paradise." The servers were friendly, the menu is varied, and the food is good. Although they did have live music at dinner time it was a single singer and he was not too loud. Brooks McGuire performed the night we were there and he was entertaining without being intrusive. I had a cheeseburger salad for lunch and cheeseburger tacos for dinner. My husband had a cheeseburger for lunch and fish tacos for dinner. All was good.

This has been a staple for my family for the past 12 years everytime we come to Maui. Everything was great until I ordered a second cocktail before my food arrived and I didn't even get it until after we were all done eating and the waiter dropped off the bill. To top it off, the waiter was slightly annoyed when I said I didnt want it anymore. Love the food and atmosphere but the service was a miss tonight. There's no way it should take over 25 minutes to get a cocktail.

Honestly, most mediocre food i had. The burger which they pride was dry and dead. And they forgot so many things, sat us literally 5 inches from the other tables. Overpriced to the quality of food. Will not go back. The favorite thing in the while dinner was the bun.

We eat here every year on our yearly trip to Maui. The food is awesome!! Service is great. It is a good place to go to for breakfast or lunch, not horribly expensive and decent portions. One tip though, do not buy the t-shirts as the are way overpriced. Seems they have decided a Hanes t-shirt is worth mega bucks. They used to have good quality shirts. So sad for what used to be a good place to get a souvenir shirt.

First night in Maui and we came to eat Cheesburgers. I was very happy we did. They were great tasting burgers and fries. The gentleman playing a guitar and singing was also great to see and hear. Excellent service and great tasting food.

Fantastic view over the bay. Lots of windows and fans to keep the place cool in the afternoon. Food wasn't anything special, but nobody in my group complained and I've had good service both times eating here. One of the better views in the downtown Lahaina area. Five stars for a burger joint, four stars compared to other restaurants. Great location. It was really fun to watch the crabs scurry out of the surf. The burgers were nice and juicy and a good size. We went near closing and had great service and did not feel rushed. We had the “cheeseburger in paradise” and that “it’s all good” burger and they were tasty.

Bartender Marcos was a nice guy to speak with. We had some things in common to share and he helped us pick out drinks and serve us for a few hours while it wasn't incredibly busy. For a burger joint even the burgers were sub par. They attempt to jam as much random toppings onto a burger as they can and most of it does not taste fresh. The nachos had what I assume was tostitos queso dip on them because they tasted completely artificial. The mai tai tasted like sunny d and liquor. Go to Freddy’s up the street and have an amazing burger. This place isn’t worth the money.

This was listed as a must see spot. The family loved the sometimes whimsically topped burgers, and the atmosphere was cozy without feeling oppressively crowded. Great place to hang out with family or friends and kick back a few. A little pricey, but no more than you would pay for a gourmet burger at a nice restaurant, and the scenic view made the experience amazing. Our server, Tarah, took great care of us and kept the drinks full and the napkins coming. It really is a must see spot.

The food wasn't worth the price, but the view was amazing. The music was loud, and the beer battered fish was burnt (old oil in fryer). Our server was good at her job which I appreciate, but if I had to do it again I wouldn't. I'll say this and be done. Because you have the real estate and a catchy name doesn't mean you can slack on quality. I'm glad others have had good experiences here, but I'm less than satisfied.

I found some disturbing thing about this restaurant which if had a few changes would've been a great experience. I sat at the bar and waited for several minutes to be greeted. The bar had a overwhelming smell of mildewed rag or Stagnant water I only smelled it when I sat at the bar. My hamburger was amazing however I ordered coconut shrimp which had a great taste but I found two shrimps combined to look like one with a tail of the second one folded under the breading. I waited several minutes with my glass empty before the bartender came back to asked me if I want another drink that would not have been a big deal however there was only two other people sitting at the bar andThe restaurant was not crowded. I came back a second time two weeks later and found almost the same identical experience the bar still stunk like sour sweet rotted mildew smell and I was not greeted by the bartender for eight minutes as I sat and waited (- I timed it because I was sensitive from my last experience)I also waited for my bill long after I was done eating. I did not know how much time had gone by however I noticed the couple across for me had finish their meal paid for the bill and left before I was given my ticket . I was greeted by the hostess in both locations I also got my food in a very timely manner from the time I ordered ;my burger was cooked to perfection the beer was amazing but the experience was not great.

Great selection of cheeseburgers along with other food choices. Service was fast and efficient despite it being very busy when I visited. Unfortunately found my coke to be very watery. I suspect that the syrup mix was on the verge of running out.

Hard to review a place where all I requested was a plain salad with just lettuce and chicken, but it turned out well. The ambiance is why people come here. It was expensive in comprising to the food quality, but that’s because it is Hawai’i and located on the shore. The service was lackluster at best and the food was not popular among the table.

While it might possibly be considered a tourist trap, the burger I had made it all worth it. Neat historical burger joint started by two California women in 1989. Live music every night and all right on the waterfront of Lahina. Lots of dietary options including vegan. Honestly couldn't recommend it more.
