I love this place. I could eat salad everyday—and when I don’t feel like chopping one up—ST is the choice. They have the freshest salad fixings and amazing soups (usually 7 different ones to choose). Enjoyed a nice meal of favorite greens with an extensive choice of toppings. The soup was hot and delicious; my favorite cream of mushroom and my husband's favorite of clam chowder. The lemon caper pasta was a nice thing to pair with the gluten free lemon muffin. Had to have a second muffin as a dessert! Check your location for the current menu. Next time I'll go in "Albondigas season."

Sweet Tomatoes is a wonderful salad bar buffet. You can get a fabulous vegetarian (and even vegan) meal with lots of choices! It's important to note that the menu is almost entirely meatless, so if you're looking for a standard American fare buffet, this is not the place for you. Typical "kid menu" items are limited to pasta, cheese focaccia (pizza), muffins, and soft serve ice cream. The restaurant is usually well staffed and clean. The salad bar is well stocked until 1/2 hour before closing, then they let things run out. They will, however, get something for you if you ask. The hot side, especially focaccias and pasta, get a little dry sometimes when it's slow. Current prices are $10.29 for lunch (until 4pm) and $11.99 for dinner weekdays. Not sure about weekend prices. Sign up for Club Veg emails to get weekly discount coupons. They also do a senior deal (60 and over) everyday 2-5pm for $8.59.

Sweet Tomato is a great place for group gathering. Just like Lettuce Surprises You from eons ago. It has all kinds of salads you can put together to your liking. Besides that, there is pasta, bread, pizza, baked potato, soup, fruits and desserts. It's all you can eat buffet. You choose your own dishes and there are plenty to choose from. It's very nice to visit them once a while to fill yourself up to the delicious varieties.

I was really into eating at this place until I read some shocking statistics. Did you know that all the plants that this place uses comes from farms? That's right. Farmers forcibly pull these plants from the earth. When they take the plants, they don't give them goodnight kisses nor take them to late night McDonald runs. They throw them into buckets and profit. My very first time eating there was awesome. How original to have a place to eat healthy with fresh vegetables and toppings for your salad! LOVED IT!!! I also had the Shrimp Bisque soup and that was very tasty, perfectly seasoned. The price is well worth paying. I will be back. Unfortunately all those restaurants closed where I live. We came here for dinner, and hadn't been here in several years. First of all, everyone we talked to was very friendly. We were greeted upon entrance, checked on several times during, and thanked on the way out. The salad bar was very good, with lots of options. I do wish they had meat options to go on the salad (but I get that it's not the vibe here lol). The Asian ginger soup was soooo good, and i love that they offer a sugar free dessert. Most of the items on the hot bar were not keto, so if you are keto you better load up on the salad. Very good pricing for how much food we got. We'll be back!

This place used to be stellar. The past 2 times we have come here, they have completely turned over their staff and now the quality is horrible. Both times, there was barely any soup, no bread or muffins, and no pasta. There was no clean spoons or small plates for 20 minutes. We are done. The old management did a great job, had great hard working employees. This new management looks like they have half the staff working on Saturdays and Sundays, their busiest days. We will not be coming back.

For years I had a vision of the perfect place to make a salad with all the stuff you would like and have your choice of soups and breads to go with it. Not only does this place exceeds that vision it throws in pasta, baked potatoes ( both sweet and regular) desserts and free refills. I could live there but taking a bath in the sink would be awkward. I am now planning every trip to Sandy Springs area to go by there. The fresh chicken noodle soup is the best and can't wait to try the others and the Chili.

I have visited this restaurant many of times....mainly my order (s) was for takeout. This restaurant served my eating style since I eat no meats. I usually frequent this location 2 to 3 times a week. However, now no more due to the changes made with the with the takeout ordering. There is a "New" to go menu that was launched just before Mother's day, which is the to go box with now just one container for the soup. All of this new to go order is without the usage of the coupon. Such a disservice!! Previously, I ordered a to go meal which consisted of a salad, 2 soup containers and a bread bag, and sometimes I ordered a drink with my meal. I would pay approximately $9.99 for my meal(s), because I usually order two (2). So it was a savings for me and my family. The last time I visited the restaurant, I spent approximately $15.00 for one (1) for less. And that was with the is of the coupon. Now, it would be more than $15.00, because the manager informed me that the coupons will no longer be honored with takeout orders.

Such good soup, salad, pasta, and flat bread pizza. It's so nice to go to a buffet and not hate yourself by the time it's all over! It lost a star because the layout of the buffet/register is extremely confusing, such that we had to ask for help (and observed several others doing the same). It would take too much to explain in writing, so I recommend asking a server how it works when you arrive.

It was fair! Salad was fresh but missing items from the salad bar like bacon bits, banana peppers, etc. The Bleu cheese dressing was watery. Soups lacked ingredients, such as the Miso soup said it had tofu but no tofu to be found in the soup. The chili tasted like ketchup was used. This place isn't the same.

Food was great and the restaurant was overall clean! We must have come in after a bit of a rush because there were quite a few tables that needed to be cleared, but there was still plenty of seating and everything else was clean, even the restrooms were nice and tidy! We have been to this location when we lived up in Georgia before. This location has only gotten better. If you have a certain diet needs each item on their bar tells you different information about it. The prices are reasonable especially if you sign up for their email which gives discounts for lunch and dinner. $10.49 for lunch including the drink and 12.49 for dinner including the drink. They make homemade dessert for dinner. They serve pasta and soups.... try the cream of mushroom. It's yummy. They have soft serve ice cream and serve seasonal ice cream flavors.

Terrible! The food is awful! Dirty spoons for the ice cream. The people who rate this high likely haven't eaten a great meal in yrs. The customers were mostly old and over weight. They likely only cared they were getting a lot of food cheaply. The bathroom was gross and they weren't busy. This is fast food quality not fresh at all.

I do not know if it is because it is Tuesday and/ or 6:30pm, but lettuce and cheese bread sticks were soggy, pasta was cold and dried, most of the food looked like it had been sitting there since lunch time and all the bars had food all over the place. I usually don't give bad reviews, but I expected more for a $15.35 salad. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because the staff were friendly and cordial.

I used to visit this location regularly and never had a bad experience until recently. I was with my friend for her birthday lunch and while we were eating a huge silverfish fell from the ceiling and ran across our table. I had to step on it to kill it and the manager said she would refund our money since we got up and left. They never credited my bank account. Poor, poor service. We won't ever be back.

Just ok. I went to this location thinking it'd be like the one in Dunwoody...wrong! First it's located near the old mall in Duluth that's deserted. Then, the moment we pulled up I realized how old the place was. I hoped differently as we went in but it was just as it seemed outside, dated and dreary. I was further disappointed to find how few people were there considering it was dinner time. This meant two things to me, less selections and fewer times food would be brought out. Turned out I was right since there was very few options and fresh food wasn't made as often. The workers were nice and attentive but that was the only part of this worth 3 stars. Even the bathroom's conditions were questionable. Sorry but unless things change, we won't go back to this location again.

I was truly impressed with this establishment, the service was outstanding from the cashier, wait staff and the food line. We were well taken care of. The salad bar was outstanding, so many choices, fresh and choices. I have to gives kudos to the young woman behind the pasta, bread bar, she went above and beyond with here recommendations, attention to detail and even while on her break assisted us in finding help for a boost off after the battery in our vehicle went dead. Even another employees from the kitchen assisted and would not leave until the vehicle started. The food was great, all vegan and I enjoyed it, the service was outstanding, the facility was clean and very comfortable. If you go please try the praline bread pudding, it is off the chain. I think I am in love with Sweet Tomatoes.........Vegan can be great

This year I have been coming here pretty regularly and most of the time the salad is very fresh and the soups are very good. The staff here are always kind and helpful. There must be at least 6 kinds of soup available and plenty of muffins and pasta options and ice cream and chocolate brownies. This is a good choice for groups and children bc there are plenty of tables. And I am very comfortable eating alone as well

The food was good, however the cashier seemed to have an attitude...Maybe just a bad day, but when I checked out she wasn't friendly at all and then I went back to ask her if they have a child's cup and she said I have a cup with a lid with a non friendly tone and look. When she handed it to me it was a small cup with a lid which was exactly what I needed, but she acted as if she really didn't want to serve me. The young man clearing the tables was very nice. We stop by once or twice a week. Nice to have a salad and soup option for a late (after 8pm) dinner. My negatives are price (about $30 for 2 at night) and selection can get tiresome after so many visits. But i love having a filling but not heavy option for late dinners, plus the staff is usually pretty positive and welcoming.

My wife & I have been eating at Sweet Tomatoes buffet for about five yrs and, obviously, have been pretty happy with the food & staff. We like a salad bar (with fresh veggies), love soup, probably consume less gluten as we would elsewhere, feel it's a clean place, appreciate that the parking lot, which was bedeviled with nasty potholes for years, was finally re-paved recently, most of the busers are very helpful (cashiers 75-25) and the price presently fine but on a steady rise (w/drink, $28 (2)). On-going issue is the MUSIC. Like many eateries today, it's too loud (It ain't a club) and selected for the young adult staff, as average guest age ranges 40s to 60s, with college / HS age a rare sight and children common but in company of parents too busy to care about tunes. I've contacted corporate, when site permits, who send me to the local Mgr, a staff I've not seen at dinner in a long time, who phones ("C" 10.13.17) to say it's a corporate decision and out of his hands: Pass the buck balderdash (review post 10.17.18).

I come here every few months & treat myself to dinner since I get coupons emailed to me all the time. I came tonight & used my birthday coupon for a free meal. All of the employees were so friendly. Constantly asked if I was finished or if everything was ok. There wasn't one specific person who would come by. Instead, whoever was passing by me at the time would stop & ask how things were going. When I left out, everyone said goodnight & wished me a happy new year. I have never had a bad experience at this location & I will continue to come back for my solo dinner dates. Oh! I should probably add that the food is good.

My first time despite seeing the chain for over 15 years. It reminded me of a much cleaner, more friendly Golden Corral with little meat options but let me tell you. The ingredients I felt were insanely fresh. Like my body was thanking me for all the nutrients. Their caesar salad was tasty. I had beets, feta, broccoli salad so good, I had seconds of that. And it wasn't pieces chopped to death, it was giant florets! Chili was good and Hubbs loves the chowder. Any topping you could want was present, sour cream, cheese, bacon, chives, everything. I ended with a few tiny ice cream cones and expensive Republic of Tea I hadn't seen in years. Will definitely be back

The French Onion soup was fantastic as was the Clam Chowder. Thought the Vegetable soup was the soup of the day. Freshly made and on point for great comfort food. Literally the same as SouperSalad if you've ever been, ingredients are fresh enough, but the options are bland and limited with no protein options. Soups say chicken but more like chicken broth. Staff, servers, waitresses, managers and all staff there are friendly, professional, and attentive. The manager on duty recognized and welcomed us back. Our server this time was La La. She was on it, and took care of us. Place was clean, and patrons were there in good numbers for a Wednesday. Only down part today, the last of the chocolate lava cake was scooped on top of the fresh one brought out.

Generally, everything was fine as usual except for three glaring recipe problems: (1) the miso soup was much too salty. It wasn’t really edible even with multiple glasses of water to wash it down. (2) The tuna tarragon, as always, had no sign of tuna pieces, not even bits. The name of this menu item needs to be changed to reflect this constant fact. (3) The Greek salad needs an olive oil-based dressing, not the straight canola oil presently used. Olive oil is a key fixture in Greek recipes especially for its unique taste. If cost is a factor then use a 50/50 olive oil canola oil blend. Clouding and thickening of the oil from very cold refrigeration is easily overcome. Presently, I have to add olive oil on my own from the salad bar bottle to get the proper taste, but it makes the salad too wet with dressing.

My two young daughters love this place -- it's their first choice for a meal out. Sweet Tomatoes is a salad bar with high quality salad ingredients, and so-so quality hot items such as soups, desserts and pizza. The salad ingredients are fresh and delicious, and the soups are decent. The potatoes are delicious, but the pizza, cheesy bread and pasta is of low quality. The desserts include low quality frozen yogurt in vanilla, chocolate and swirl flavors with toppings including caramel, chocolate sauce, chopped nuts, sprinkles and Oreo cookie crumbles. There are other rotating cooked desserts such as cookies, brownies, and apple crumble, and a full complement of drinks, hot and cold. You pay an single price for all-you-can-eat. I think the adult price is about $10 for lunch and $12 or $13 for dinner, and kids are $4.99. Our family of two adults and two kids generally gets out the door for about $30.00 plus tip. It is noisy during peak hours, with lots of kids, and the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the floor is hit-and-miss, but this is not something that bothers me. Two tips: 1. The salad bar does not include chicken, but you can harvest giant chunks of chicken breast from the Chicken Noodle soup. 2. The Strawberry lemonade is fantastic.

I will not waste my money at a restaurant that has racis waiter/waitress working for them. I paid for my food and seated myself and fixed a plate. After sitting here for 20 minutes a caucasian family came and sit behind me and was instantly serviced by the caucasian waitress. I was never acknowledged nor checked on. The family behind me was checked on and drinks refilled at least three times within 30 minutes and I still was not serviced. DO NOT EAT HERE The General Manager Anthony is awesome, he heard me out and explained that it had to be some sort of mix up. Then he took care of my check and apologized.

Sweet Tomatoes has the widest selection of salads I have ever seen at a restaurant. The green leafy salads are made at least every hour. They have normal salad toppings and some unusual ones. Updated review as of recent experiences!!: A new and improved chicken in the famous chicken noodle soup is back! Also they have improved some of the pasta bar offerings (although a bit overcooked, if you prefer al dente), but still tastes great! Staff are also very friendly and helpful. Although not expected, please don't forget to tip the wait staff... they usually deserve it! Things to improve: They could do more to offer gluten free options here, especially a chicken noodle version of it! Previous review (July 2018): 2 Stars - I normally would give a 4-5 star rating... however they recently switched the type/quality of the chicken they use in their well known chicken noodle soup! The new chicken looks/tastes to be out of a can and VERY BAD. This was one of the only healthier hot options on their menu and they are at risk of losing me as a loyal customer. As I see it, this cost cutting measure was very poorly thought of by their corporate team. You never switch a signature item like this if you want to keep your customers loyal. They actually keep us coming back!! The staff are great! and mostly everything else on the menu continues to be tasty.
