Pricing was to expensive for the type of food. Over $50 for three people. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food wasn’t up to price either it, needed more flavor. Only thing really good was the rolls and the pop corn shrimp.

The people made up for where the food may have lacked (just felt more selection would've been nice and the shrimp alfredo was bland, but I left full). The really tall guy at the buffet was on top of changing his trays (I did get a cold roll, but it was the last if two and more were out before I hit my seat). Multiple servers made contact with us; the ladies working the front were super nice, our server was wonderful and another came by to admire my daughter (I don't blame her, she's quite the cutie patootie). Everyone was nice, bathrooms could use a good maintenance man, but were clean. Overall a good visit, for the price ($12.99 each adult) it won't be something we do very often, but a nice occasional treat for when mommy doesn't want to cook or clean up after it (and does want multiple desserts).

ROACHES and nasty food the only thing good was the fried chicken until they wouldn't check the temperature when it was done and always cook it to chicken jerky Yuch. NEED MUCH BETTER MANAGEMENT WHO IS RUNNING THIS JOKE SOMEONE Different EVERY WEEK IT GETS WORST IF POSSIBLE! (Only good when corporate comes in to check on this joke establishment, GET WITH IT PEOPLE...take some lessons from Golden Coral just visit one and take notes.Only reason we eat there is we don't like fast food and it's actually getting worse. Your right by the Tanger Mall and its holiday season your in a goldmine location wise up!!!

For the price of this place, I felt the food could have been much better. It lacked seasoning and most of the vegetables were either totally over cooked and mushy or under cooked. I was very disappointed. However, the server was nice.

Our waitress was "in it to win it", we were happy to tip her, but that's where it stopped. $30+ to eat for 2 on the buffet. At least 15 of the food trays were dried up or empty. The manager was easy to spot as he was meandering around and playing not worried one bit about the food on the bar. They have an 87 score hanging proudly behind the cashier. Enough said. P.S. I was a manager at a buffet restaurant. Think twice.

Just left...only spent about 10 minutes to see the plates and utensils were dirty....the place and bathroom was nasty and the food? Horrible....I mean how do you mess up green beans from a can? It was absolutely awful. Do not waste your money unless you like eating hair from a nasty utensil. Ugh...never again. Just gross. Talked to a manager....asked when the empty containers of food would be filled...said "umm I dont know..." and walked away. Just heed the warning and dont waste your money like we did!

Went to a Ryan's almost 20 years ago. Everything was basically poor quality food which seemed likely to have came out of a large metal can, and then thrown in a microwave. "Never again" I said. But I was talked into going back last week. Yuck! Cold sides, dried out bread and deserts, tough and inedible steak and over-cooked fried chicken. How is this place still open? How can Ryan's be owned by the same company as Golden Corral? How can Ryan's be so extraordinarily bad? Just don't go to Ryan's, eat something out of a garbage can instead. Your taste buds and your digestive system will thank you!

Place was filthy:dirty restrooms, dirty rags food and trash at entry, messy buffet top. The food was poorly prepared too dry unseasoned, very low quality food. The staff was unconcerned about the filthy conditions, and the kitchen staff acted inconvenienced when asked to prepare food. The whole place had a gross smell. The wait staff was agreeable but really the only positive aspect of the meal since they brought us rolls promptly and the food was so inedible .....in reality -3 stars

My husband and I quickly remembered why we haven't been there in years. The buffet menu does not justify the price of 12.49. The fried chicken was dry. The veggies were awful and the soft serve ice cream came out as soup. Not very appetizing. Needless to say, we won't be back.

If you enjoy eating pubic hair in your food and sitting down in a bug infested environment, then Ryans is then place for you! It is well cleaned by the staff that carry a dust pan and brush and don't brush anything up. The food was extremely fresh when it come out of the oven 2 weeks ago. The staff were very friendly when they came and changed the cup my drink was in becasue it wasn't cleaned yet. Overall I am happy that I survived the place and definately think the workers should consider burning the place down! So next time you are on the I85 and see a Ryans, keep driving as fast as you can!

I have never had one bad experience here . I love the atmosphere, the food and the staff... I always have coupons and ask for a law enforcement discount... every single time they let me use coupons even if they are expired and the last time I went me, my niece and Mom paid only $10.02 to eat for three buffets.. They gave me mine free for law enforcement, we had a coupon for my mom's meal for 6.99 lunch buffet right before 4 and my niece had a free kids meal coupon so I've always had the best experience ... They always do there best to make you happy .

Took a while for food spots to be refilled; like dinner rolls and baked potatoes. Soup was old and crusted to bottom of serving container. My waitress wad nice, kept up with refills. The salad bar was good, and variety of food was okay. Food quality was okay for price, cleanliness of silverware and dishes was sketchy. Many tables were waiting to be bussed or wiped clean. Restroom cleanliness was so-so. Unsure if I would come back. Maybe earlier or later in the day.

I went to Ryan’s in Bowling Green KY 42104 on 11/22 to take family out for Thanksgiving dinner waited in line for an hour and a half only to find out after I paid there was no turkey or dressing if we were told when we first got in line we would have had the option to go somewhere else but by then all the other places were getting ready to close. So we had to settle for what was there l drove three hundred miles so that thanksgiving dinner. I think a restaurant of your size would be better prepared for such a big day all I got was they weren’t prepared for that many people. Very poor excuse I would expect more from a big chain. Not happy at all.

We don't go to Ryan's often at all, but the selection was not at all like I remembered it to be. Our waitress was friendly, the cashier was fantastic and very helpful. The Ryan's that was closest to me closed down years ago so it had been forever since I had been to one. Seeing this one while on my way to the Tanger Outlets got me excited. I dropped by after finishing up shopping and was very happy with my experience. The two ladies that greeted me when I walked in were very nice and cracked jokes with me. The food on the bar was hot and looked/tasted fresh. I had forgot how much I enjoyed the food there! My server was also very nice and attentive. Would recommend this location and hope everyone has as pleasant of an experience as I did.

My husband picked up 3 plates each one had large chunks of dried food on them, half the silverware was covered in food. My cup was covered in black flakes and they still served it to me when told the waitress laughed and got me a new one which had black flakes on it too. Not to mention they dipped cups in a open gallon bucket full of ice on the counter by the sodas. It was disgusting. We will not be returning!

Usually good food. The fried chicken is usually very good. The Turkey is some of the best Turkey that I have had anywhere. They sometimes serve fatback. If you are from the South then you know what that is. They are usually not very crowded so not much of a wait in line. 1 or 2 really great servers. The others not so much. Ask for Dennis.

The salad bar had only got pepper, there were no banana peppers, there wasn't any kind of meat to go on the salad either... The taco meat had a old stale taste to it. There was cereal particals in the sprinkles. Not somewhere on my list to return to. Our server however, was very adequate and repsonsive.

Has got to the worse ryans I've ever been too. But the waitress was great and on the spot with refills. Nachos was stale, meatloaf was like potted meat with ketchup. Salad bar was fresh except blue cheese had a sour taste so it went to waste. Only good things I had was the roasted chicken and the fried chicken.. and the red velvet cake which its probably pre made.. oh and the breaded shrimp was good.

Im sad I cant give it a better rating. Where do I start. We were passing through on our way home from vacation and were hungry. We have been to a Ryan's back home we like, so we stopped. The restaurant only had a few patrons eating, but most of the tables were dirty. I pulled multiple utensils out of the utensil holders with food, CAKED on them. The bathrooms were filthy and only the broken stall had toilet paper. The food was way over cooked. The vegetables were mush, the chicken dry and my medium rare steak was medium to medium well and tasted like burnt char. The salad bar did have a nice selection of toppings and the ranch dressing was good. I actually expected it to be watered down, but it wasnt. Very disapointed

Let's start with, the waitress no where to be found to busy with bluegrass band. Had to ask the lady sweeping the floor questions which all she could say was I'm new. Had a live fly in my freshly served drink to me.Potatoes instant water down and pepper filled. If it was not over salted it had no taste. When I could get the waitress tried to get fresh chives for a really old baked overly salted non fluffy baked potato because the chives were frozen to bottom of dish she just shrouded her shoulders and went back playing spoons with the band. The chicken was like eating zaxbys hot wings.The baked chicken been there. The mac and cheese watery and no taste vegtables should have been thrown away. Sent back full plates ate a piece of cold steak with grisle through it. My fience tried dessert it was hoarable.I refused to give a tip for such bad serves. We drove 41 miles one way to have a night out and came home stopping at KFC and Dairy Queen to try and salvage our night. We will never return to a Ryan ever again. Hope we do not get sick from what we tried to eat. Will be calling manager in morning

They dont even serve fat back anymore. The only good thing about this place is the man waitress that we always sit in his spot. Also the meatloaf tasted like dog good. I want to be clear this is one star overall but it was a two star Ryan's visit. I don't know why my girlfriend and I thought it would be good to come here. Overall I thought it was just okay. My girlfriend said her favorite part was that the meal had a net 0 calories because she chucked it all up in the bathroom before we even left. I also saw the ham carver enter the bathroom with his kitchen apron on. Good sweet tea.

We arrived between lunch and dinner on a Saturday. The food in the buffet line was either old, burnt or just empty. Our server wouldn't take any of the plates from our table so we put them on a table that was filled with plates and she didn't even take them. Bathroom seemed like it hasn't been clean since the day before. The desserts were on point though.

My friends and I from the Scottish Inn intended on going to the Waffle House, which was packed, so we decided on going to Ryan's. We got there at the cusp of breakfast and lunch. Four of us ate breakfast and lunch in twenty minutes. The price was very reasonable. I covered the check, which if memory serves was less than fifty bucks including the tip. Our trip was about four months ago, included three adults and one six-year-old. The food was good, and none of us got sick. If you want all you-can-eat at a decent price, I recommend this place.

Although I realize that today was Father's Day, we found the buffet today poirly mainrained. There were no plates available and we had to ask cashier to get someone to bring some. There was no meats other than baked chickenwhen we got our plates finally. Many of the pans were empty and people were waiting for them to be refilled. The rolls we were served loiked like pieces of broken up biscuits. All bd all a very disappointing Father's Day meal for my boydriend and I. Other people were also overhward complaining about today's buffet.

Terrible place, i Went there yesterday with my fiancé and we both got food poisoning I am currently in the hospital because I got sick from their food! And they charged us out ragesly for only two people and two small drinks that’s ridiculous and we tried contacting them and telling them can we get our money back and they said no because we already ate that’s against the policies, and I think nobody should come here, the food is discussting! And talk about having a clean bar, there’s food everywhere and no one cleans it up!!!! Also some of the food is raw and past it’s date!!!! I definitely do not recommend this place to anyone unless you want to get sick !!!!

Ryan's hosted a Tri-County Ministerial meeting this week, they were more than accommodating to say the least. they allowed our staff to use an area that had little traffic and virtually no distractions. The food was very good and served hot and fresh. My husband and I stopped in for dinner. First of all when you walk in the front door there was no ac in the front entrance. The manager said it has always been that way since it was built. That should have been a red flag. I went to use the bathroom and they were absolutely nasty!!! There was water dripping from the ceiling. My husband and I were traveling and needed truck parking so I was really trying to give them a chance. Next we proceeded to get our food. It did not look very tasty but we tried it and OMG it was so disgusting. The green beans were so nasty like they were right out of the can but worse.. everything was nasty. I told my husband we are leaving and I am going to get a refund. I went back to the front and saw that it was the manager and told him our food was horrible and we wanted our money back. He refunded it with no problem but sadly he did not apologize or anything which is absolutely ridiculous. If you are reading this review DO NOT EAT HERE. We went next door and grab a burger from Burger King just to make it home and found out two other people have eaten there that were in Burger King and they said it was the worst place to eat in Mt. Vernon IL!!!! They don’t deserve any stars but it would not let me post without putting atleast one star

The food was barely warm on the lines and many of the selections were less than half full. For over $20 for two people to eat a buffet, it should be much better. Steak was tough and too gritty to eat more than 40% of the cut of the meat. Prepare yourself for a strange odor when you walk in as well. Would not return.

We always make sure to stop at this location when traveling to and from St Louis and the surrounding area. Unfortunately for us something has changed to the effect that everything tasted bad or ok or just off. From the chewy meatloaf to the stale nachos. The carrots were slimy on the salad bar. The cooked carrots were bland and over cooked. They had some kind of shredded meat in the grill area that was unlabeled and unidentifiable. Service was good but the food was absolutely horrid. I’m embarrassed that I’m the one who suggested we dined there.

Always loved coming here but today was the worst experience I've had in a long time. We basically paid for food we could not eat. Food was horrible. The things that were edible were gone. Dessert bar was so nasty dirty. 2 employees standing in back talking not cleaning or making it look appetizing. I've been in restraunt management for a long time and someone really needs to step in and help the manager. Proper training and standards lack here. Ryan's is a buffet for those who don't already know that. It's not the best selection of food, they have 5 different kinds of roasted or fried chicken, for example, but the price is actually fairly reasonable for a buffet and the food all tastes good. This one is close to three different truck stops which is why I went there.

The food is good and fresh. The bathrooms could use some tlc. The restroom was reasonably clean but obviously had not been tended to in a little while. As well, the facilities could use some general maintenance. In the toilet stall, I went to pull a piece of tissue from the dispenser and the entire dispenser fell into the floor. When I got ready to wash my hands, one of the soap dispensers was leaking and one of the paper towel dispensers was just sitting on the counter instead of mounted on the wall.

Dressings were awful color, they were out of bacon bits since yesterday, really, go across the parking lot to Walmart and buy some. Had to go thru 20 plates to find one that didn't have garbage on them. I asked waitress whats up with all the dirty dishes and she just turned and got the stack of dirty ones and left. Silver ware nasty. I can eat any desserts and the ones that were out looked so bad I didn't Get anything. Ice cream dispenser was so nasty that was a no go as well. literally gross looking food containers on food bar. Place was filthy. Staff was uneducated as to when someone could bring something out to fill all the empty containers. Worse experience I've ever had in any restaurant. Dont waste your money. Needs shut down PERIOD!

The restaurant as a whole is a little dirty. The carpet could stand to be either steam cleaned or replaced; it was sticky. The restrooms, at least the women's, was dirty; the doors are nasty. The whole restaurant is in need of updating. We went around 2pm and the food wasn't all that fresh, perhaps because it was after lunch and before dinner. The waitress was helpful and attentive. I probably won't visit again.

I love Ryan's and this was my first time visiting one in about a decade. All the food was well prepared and the staff was fantastic. We came as a football team and they had food always ready and drinks were filled when they were needed to be filled. Everything was fantastic with this experience except for the fact that the cornbread had mold on it. Minor mistake, but glad we caught it so no one would get sick.

This place is the ghetto of the American buffet. If you want the cheapest non consistently tasting vegetables, cold corn bread... steaks that have meat that doesn't chew. Full of everything but soft meat. Mashed potatoes are made with a cup too much salt, EVERYTIME. There is not enough staff there. The price is on the top range for what you get. The chicken is scary.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!! This is by far the worst buffet restaurant I have ever been at. Went in with my family to eat and everything looked awful. The cook on the grill had steak left in a pan that looked like it was cooked earlier in the day. My wife and daughter's steak was ordered well done but it was burnt and dry. The pizza my son ate was hard and cold. My first salad I got ranch dressing and it tasted like glass cleaner. The only thing we ate that was even edible was the mac and cheese and the salad bar (minus the ranch dressing). We paid over 40 dollars and got virtually nothing! All the manager did was walked around the bars and stir the food. He didn't wear gloves at any point when touching the food. But the thing he did that got me the most was he went to the restroom then proceed to stir the rice that looked like it was sitting there all day, so what does the manager do? He adds water to it and stirs it! No handwashing or anything! The servers were non-existant. They all looked like they haven't slept in a month. This will be the last time I take my family to Ryan's in Mount Vernon. I would much rather drive to O'fallon and eat at Golden Corral.

My family and I went to dinner here tonight. They changed the recipe for there mash potatoes. Way to much pepper large grains. I asked and thought they where ok with making a small bowl with less pepper for my grandbaby. The worker smiled agreed there was a lot of pepper in it even for him and said someone would bring me a bowl. I think him and went to my seat. My adult daughter went to get her plate while I waited with my grandbaby and she heard two workers complaining about me as a customer. She told them that I was her mother and both walked away to the back. I'm hurt but not surprised. Disappointed customer.
