Oh my! There are restaurants and there are restaurants’ this place is awesome. I love the setting, it’s clean it’s an open space yet when your chef cooks for you it feels private! The food is great and of course fresh because it’s cooked right before you. I was here twice w hen I worked with Home Depot the first time left such an Impression that for my going away party this was the location I chose! It was better than the first employees are friendly. Chefs engage with you and are funny and will ask how you want your food cooked. The portions are large enough for everyone and if you are alone??? They have community tables. Yessss I give this place 5 stars. I give my reviews based on cleanliness, customer service, advertising, time spent waiting in a location, friendliness and it matters if your reading my review has or is helping you make your decision. The staff is always entertaining, and the food is always delicious plus you get your monies worth with the amount of food provided. The best times to go would be on a weekday when the restaurant opens and like an hour before they close. Not a long way time you actually get seated pretty quick.

This is pretty much your standard hibachi fare. Go for the sushi. They feature some pretty great sashimi. A tad on the expensive side for what it is, but location and atmosphere here aren't cheap. Go with a crowd less than 12 though. Anything larger and you may run into issues. Staff is friendly and attentive.

We drove from Augusta to Atlanta to take our daughters to the K-pop store. My wife decided to make it a full Asian experience. This restaurant was hands down the best Asian food we've ever had. Service was quick and the waiter was friendly. Highly recommend!

Great food but Horrible service! The chef did fine but the ladies that take your orders are the most unfriendly and mean people I've every seen in the industry. I don't know how the reviews are that good when they are the ones working there. They completely messed up my friend and my order then tried to act all surprised when we talked to the manager. Service started out normal, ordered brown rice instead of white rice, first mistake, then I ordered lobster and shrimp. There were 8 of us at the table and one person was allergic to seafood. I had to wait until everyone was served and finally the chef cooked my food, by this time everyone was almost finished eating. They finally brought me a bowl of brown rice, I mentioned to the waitress I wanted my rice cooked on the grill with all the butter (my cheat night) and veggies. I was told it’s $8 more, I assured her it was ok and she ignored me as if I couldn’t afford $8 more. So by the time I got my food everyone had finished. They didn’t give me time to finish, they started rushing my date and me from the table. I’m sure race played a part of the rudeness and the assumptions. Worst ever. 1 star because it was the only way to leave. Review. Been a resident of the area since ‘93 and I will never go back

I just moved to Smyrna and I can not speak more highly of this place! I’ve eaten here multiple times since my move and every experience has been wonderful! I’ve been telling all of my friends about it. First off, the first time me and my best friend tried this place, we had a server named Will. Ever since then, I ask for him every time I come in! He give the absolute best service and he remembers my name! I work in the service industry and that is so important because I try to do the same for other people, so I appreciate it! Everything that I have ever had here is AMAZING! Great menu and they also have daily specialty rolls! They also have a beautiful outside patio area with a koi pond that is awesome for kids, and I have also brought my emotional support dog and he was super comfortable. They were very accommodating, though I’m not sure they do that all the time? They also have hibachi and Chinese food in other parts of the restaurant which I have yet to try because I can’t make it past the sushi, but I will report back when I get there..lol. Definitely give this place a try!!!

Not a whole lot to say here except that this is the premier hibachi spot in Atlanta. It is consistently the best hibachi I’ve ever had. I’ve gone here with my wife and family maybe 8-10x. We have never gotten the sushi because the hibachi is too good to want to experiment.

It's average hibachi located in a high end area which i guess is a plus for sanitary reasons. The prices are quite reasonable and it's very open and accommodating yet private as needed. i frequent the restaurant

Extremely average. We ordered the dinner bento boxes. My chicken was rough and all of the meats were smothered in sauce. Super average probably won’t return again. We also sat with a vent above us dripping water on our heads.

I really wanted to like this place, but at best, this is average. The miso soup did not have good flavor, the sushi was served too warm for comfort. Rusans has better sushi rolls. The seaweed salad was good though. Not sure that is worth making the trip for.

Trashy and overpriced Far more expensive than most hibachi places, yet the food is not better. Worst is the service. The cooks were great but the “waitress/manager” starting boxing our food while still eating, and tried to clear my wife’s plate who was taking a child to the bathroom. We've spent good money with these folks over the years 12 plus to be exact and we came in tonight and a couple of waitresses passed us looked at us and never asked us to be seated or to say give me a minute or is a minute. Bartender looked at us as well and never even spoke!! I'm in the customer service business and I swear I've never been more upset!! And most of my friends will tell U I always talk this place up to go to and eat!! Not anymore!! Very degrading feel tonight on Father's Day!! Thanks for nothing and a bad ending to my day after having to work today!!!

The Orient Express in the Vinings/Smyrna area is Asian food at its best. The restaurant itself is rather amazing. It actually has part of a train as the building. The reference comes from the classic Poirot novel by Agatha Christie, "Murder on the Orient Express." The inside is just as charming. The restaurant has three sections: Chinese food, sushi and hibachi. I can vouch for everything but the sushi, I have health issues that prohibit me from partaking, but the hibachi and especially the Chinese cuisine is impeccable. I highly recommend going during the week at lunch time. You get a huge awesome meal that includes soup, an egg roll, rice and an entree at about the same price you would pay for an extra value meal at most fast food joints. They also bring really fresh, great crispy noodles before your meal that come with two sauces; a hot mustard and a sweet and sour. Very delicious! The Orient Express is also great and incredibly with fast takeout and delivery. The staff is always kind and helpful. The restaurant also offers a full bar if you are so inclined.

This is one of my favorite Hibachi grill restaurants. My son took me for my birthday. It was his first time and it became one of his favorite Hibachi grill restaurants also. The food was cooked just right. His steak was tender and my scallops and shrimp were not rubbery.

My sister and I decided to give it a try as we were down visiting family. Our food came out and the presentation was nice but the food tasted off and cold. We did not finish our meals and left. On the way back to my family's house (30 min away) both my sister and I had to stop not once but twice as we both had vomiting and the squirts. We called the restaurant to inform them we were sick as dogs to be told that it's not there problem they have insurance to go to the hospital as there owner was out of the country. The worst part is we are both pregnant . I would not suggest this place as the people on the phone were rude and was laughing like what we were talking them was a joke.

Lovely place... Unfortunately, the food did not sit well with me or hubby at all. We ordered house fried rice, wonton soup, rainbow roll, Mexican roll, California roll and Russian rulett Roll. The house fried rice lacked flavor (Pease felt hard), as did the wontons in the wonton soup. I definitely have had better elsewhere. Unfortunately as stated before, We were miserable shortly after our meal with what seemed like food poisoning.

There are three sections to the restaurant. The main dinning room with the traditional "American" Chinese food offerings. The Sushi bar area and then the Hibachi grill. We did the Hibachi. This is the ONLY chef at a Hibachi grill that has ever cooked my steak medium rare. Nice work.

We ordered the shrimp and chicken combo with no onions since they make my daughter sick. The lady didn't tell the cook no onions so our rice was cooked with onions. The rice was pretty good with a little soy added. The shrimp was tasty. The chicken was soaked in teriyaki sauce and was just gross. A little teriyaki is fine but this was dripping and thick. Neither of us ate it and it felt awful wasting all that food. As for the sauces the white one they called yum yum was very sweet and watery; it didnt taste well with anything on our plate. The other one was average but not tasty enough to eat much of. When the waitress came around to collect out plates she asked if we wanted a to-go box... i informed her that the chicken didn't taste good and we couldn't eat it. She very casually said oh and walked off. She didnt try to make it better. Im shocked. If i had never eaten hibachi before I would never do it again. I gave it 3 stars for the cook, the rice and the shrimp. It wasn't anything special at this restaurant, so we will keep looking for a better place in Atlanta.

It was somewhere we had never heard of so we decided to give it a try. Service was great, and the food was plentiful. We had a great time. The train car restaurant has three different sections; Chinese, Sushi, & Hibachi. It's a great little gem in Vinnings. We plan to go back and eat on the hibachi side.

It was good. For me it was very pricey. The teppanyaki dinner didn't include a Fried rice, the charge you 3 dollars per person for fried rice. Our chef for the night wasn't nice at all. He looked tired and didn't even say hi. The waiter brought us the bill without asking for dessert and we were still eating. The place was empty so I didn't understand why he was pushing us out of the place and it was around 7:30pm so not even close to the closing time.

The Chinese side of the restaurant is consistently much better than your typical Chinese restaurant. Speaking as someone who doesn't really know authentic Chinese cuisine, I can't say whether it's authentic, but it's tasty. Prices are a bit higher, but I think you get what you pay for. Try the hot and sour soup ... it's much better than the average. The sushi side is fine, but there are better places around town. The hibachi side is great, and not too pricey. It's obviously a place where people come to celebrate birthdays, so the hibachi side can get crowded. I like the food and I like having a choice: members of the party can order from the different menus, so everyone's happy.

This is hands down my favorite hibachi restaurant. My friend and I visited here one evening. Our chef was very personal and attentive. My neighbor orders take out very frequently and says it is always delicious. The restaurant itself is very unique in appearance. Its like half is an actual train. I can’t explain it, you would have to see it for yourself. You will not be disappointed.

Foods pretty good here. Had the general chicken (like general tso) it wasn't too spicy and was good! The chicken was actually good quality. The fried rice was delicious too. I recommend getting your rice on a separate plate if you don't want too much sauce getting in it. The beef with brocolli is also good there. It had these little crispy rice thingies that are delicious and give the dish a great texture. This is a great spot if you are on a quick lunch break, they're very quick!

You get the menu of the side you are in but you can ask for Chinese menu if you get in Sushi bar for example. Food is tasty, service very good. Staff friendly. Prices moderate. We had a party of 5 for the Hibachi room. The restaurant is unique where it’s made from an old train and has three types of cuisine and rooms in one - hibachi, sushi, and Chinese. Our chef was entertaining by throwing pieces of rice into everyone’s mouth and did the volcano with the onions. Great service and staff! Come here and eat. You won’t regret it.

Went there for my birthday on 4/20. The atmosphere is great. I went to the hibachi car with my friends and unfortunately got a hibachi chef that was unmotivated but his cooking was good. The wait was pretty long even though we had reserved a table for seven. Got a free slice of cheesecake for my birthday. Great place overall.

Excellent atmosphere and service. The general's chicken was crispy and delicious. The sauce was just about as spicy as I can handle, which was perfect. Just a word of warning: they offer a mustard/horse radish sauce to dip your complimentary fried wontons in; it will light you up.

Poor customer service! Called in after driving to pick up my to go order and getting home! My Lomain smelled and looked rotten, when I called was advised it’s ok we have insurance for situations like this! If you get sick just go to the hospital! I was floored! I asked to speak with a manager and was advised no management available to speak to because they where out of the country!

BEST Tangerine Chicken in town! They are generous with the fried rice. Everything came out amazing! Nicely plated and plum wine was good. Friend had the sesame chicken.

Our oldest daughter wanted to have her bday dinner here but our youngest recently developed a shrimp allergy so we were concerned the food may get cross contaminated since it is all cooked on the same surface. The chef was fantastic, he waited for all the other food to be cooked and served before preparing any fish or shellfish for the other guests. My husband and I have been coming here since are very first date and are always impressed with the food and service. Best hibachi in all of metro Atlanta hands down!

My family ate here on my husband’s birthday on May 31st. The food was definitely not good and not worth the price of $30 pp. My kids and husband ordered shrimp and chicken and I ordered steak and shrimp. The shrimp had an awful taste to it. I can’t truly describe the taste but it was awful. We had leftovers and the next day it was even worse. I truly hope we weren’t the only ones that felt this way. It definitely wasn’t fresh and as much as we love hibachi, this is one location we would never visit again. The run down hibachi restaurants in Douglasville was better than the food at this place.

Used to love. Now unfortunately seems lately it's subpar service, mediocre food, basic hibachi food prep, subpar bartending - not what you expect for the hibachi experience! You'll feel how little they care about you - WELL before you're seated. Was my favorite neighborhood hibachi restaurant. Now- I'll just get delivery from wherever- and still not feel I'm missing out on anything. Cute, historic place. Not worthwhile service.

Really cute Chinese restaurant that is an actual part of a train for the sushi part of the restaurant. I have 2 boys that loved the train experience and there is a train track next to it and we got to see 2 trains in 1 hr visit. Loved the General Tso, Mongolian beef, Fried spring roll & Veggie Lomein. My sister ordered the Thai Chicken but not a big fan. No kids menus but plenty of food to share for all. Wait staff pretty attentive. Would definitely come back family.
