Our experience was absolutely exquisite! If you are going to have dinner here, definitely try the plum wine and the green tea cheesecake! Those were the highlights of our meal - everything else was great, and the portion sizes are perfect. You definitely get more bang for your buck with each entree. The atmosphere is soothing and calm, perfect for a date or small outing with friends. I would absolutely recommend for the fellow Asian food lover!

The place was really clean and nicely decorated. The salad wouldn't have been bad, but they drowned it in dressing. My main dish was the hibachi steak and shrimp with vegetables and fried rice. I really liked the broccoli, squash and green beans. However, I can't say as much for the steak and shrimp. The steak was very chewy, and the shrimp was extremely salty.

I'm personally a big fan of Orchid, but my girlfriend has disliked everything but the sushi. My main dish I get there is the Pho, as pictured, and is great! I've always had a polite wait staff and it's a nice chill atmosphere.

I absolutely love this place! The food is good and the staff is always friendly and polite. However, I frequently order takeout from here and the quality of the order I get can be inconsistent. Sometimes they forget vegetables or overcook the rice or give smaller portions than normal. Also, something has to be done about the way takeout orders are processed. EVERY SINGLE TIME I come to pick up, it is not ready. Sometimes I even wait an extra few minutes before coming in and I still end up sitting in the waiting area. I always have to wait on a hostess, then the hostess gets someone to get my receipt ready so they can take payment, then they come and take the payment and bring it back and sometimes at this point I'm still waiting for food. It seems like quite a few steps could be taken out of that process if the food and or ticket were ready on customer arrival. OR give more accurate wait times. It's very frustrating to be kept waiting everytime I come here. Still love this place and I'll be back but I'd love to see some changes and maybe be able to order from borotakeout so someone else can wait on it (:

Can't say anything about the food because even though they were not busy, we were sat at a table and were never greeted by a waiter or waitress. After 15 mins and seeing other people who came in after us get their order taken we left. My husband let them know why we were leaving and no one seemed to care or apologize. This is not good customer service and we will not go back.

Ordered carry out, $15 steak & shrimp combo- I live around the corner, like not even 5 mins- got home & the entire meal was ice cold- this just tells me that this food is not cooked fresh, NEVER AGAIN

This is just about the nicest restaurant in Statesboro, which I suppose doesn't necessarily mean much if you're not from here, but it has a nice atmosphere, it's clean, and it offers (from what I'm told) fairly inexpensive sushi and some other Asian cuisine. I'm a big pho guy myself, so I can't speak to the quality of much else, but I've never heard any complaints.

Good for Statesboro standards. The only thing I don't like is how long the food takes to come out. Do not go here if you're hungry it's slow and I've been many times. But the staff is nice and the food is decent, very affordable, and has large portions.

Horrible phone customer service. Called to place a to-go order and the lady on the phone knew nothing about the menu items. She was so distracted by whoever she was giggling and talking to that she couldn't even hear my order. I ended up not ordering and took my business else where.

Every time I go the service is always excellent as well as the food. I like the Georgia roll, as I’m not a fan of raw sushi. It is DELICIOUS. The fresh crab on top is yummy, and my favorite by far. To make it perfect, it’s at a reasonable price and a great atmosphere. I’ve noticed the owner always walks around as well, and she makes sure her customers are satisified.

Orchid has the best sushi in Statesboro by far. The Georgia Roll is great for people who love cooked sushi. While the Hot Night Roll is an excellent spicy choice. The Spicy Tuna Roll is the best I've ever had, as it is made of a solid piece of tuna and not a minced mixture. The price is outstanding for sushi and sashimi of this quality. I have also tried a platter that consisted of the chef's choice. I was so pleased at all of the wonderful fresh options that were presented. Orchid is a wonderful experience from its modern decor to its cutting edge sushi options.

Very nice atmosphere. Springs rolls excellent!! 5 stars for that alone The shrimp in my dinner choice was shiny not cooked, recooked same shrimp supposedly but still glossy. Restaurant should have offered to replace choice but did not. Would give better rating.

Had the experience of undercooked rice and instead of offering to replace it, the waitress told me that all the rice was cooked the same and there was nothing she could do about that. I still give it stars because in spite of that one incident I've had nothing but positive experiences here, and the food along with the staff have been great

Like most places in Statesboro, the food is poor quality. Items will come missing sauces or expected toppings with no explanation and everything tastes frozen or canned. It's not the worst place in town for "Asian" cuisine but you're better off traveling to Pooler or Savannah for the price vs quality.

Clearly a showy wanna be Japanese/sushi restaurant. Seems like a Chinese restaurant posing as a Japanese one. Every item has cream cheese. Cheaply manufactured and tasteless dishes. Having cheap Chinese chopsticks should be your biggest clue on quality of product. Honestly I felt nauseous after forcing myself to consume such a subpar product. Ordered the Sashimi Deluxe, by the way which didn't come with a soup or salad. Vegetables that don't sync with Japanese cuisine. Portions that liken a buffet offered as the main course. Definitely a 1 and done for me. Service was great! Food, extremely overpriced and tasted washed. Note: I am not biased, please look at my review Shogun.

The food is good. The waiters are personable and helpful. However, the only reason we've been coming to this restaurant is for the fried salmon sushi roll and plum wine. But as of today, we will no longer eat here because the kitchen refused to fry the salmon roll. The waiter tried to convince them to but they refused. So, they just lost us as a customer. 5 years in and they take away our most favored request.

Been eating here since day 1and loved it!! went there last night and ordered combination of sushi and sashimi, Well my first red flag was the waiter came back and made a comment about i had the sushi chef on his toes with my order then when my sushi came I found out the hard way that they had put a large amount of wasabi under or in each piece of sushi and sashimi, never in my life have I had sushi with wasabi in it! much less from there, so then I send it back (first time ever) after eatting 1 piece of sashimi and 1 of sushi and then was asked if I wanted some more and I declined because I felt the sushi chef should mess with it again and was then asked to pay for it which I did... probally won't be back for awhile

The food at this place was garbage. I hate to be the kind of person to send something back, but the chicken was old and the rice was slimier than the fish in the sushi. I apologized to the waitress, who was amazing, and told her the food was not edible. Not even salt or shrimp sauce would fix that monstracity. When she was bringing the check to my table she told me the boss was making me pay full price for a plate I sent back that was only missing one bite of rice, and 2 pieces of chicken. Gave them one star because 0 wasn’t an option. I WILL NOT return back to this place.

I am from Houston, TX and consider myself a foodie. I was not impressed with the spicy tuna roll (not spicy and very fishy) or the Orchid roll (pieces were extra large and lots of rice and overly fishy). The edamame tasted like it was reheated or overly steamed. My lunch guest had what was listed as chicken and shrimp hibachi and tasted nothing like traditional hibachi (chicken was pretty bad) Very disappointing. Our server was good - so there is one star for service!
