First time my husband and I visited this restaurant on last night and we were from out of town looking for a good restaurant.The prime rib was just right and sides were delicious. The staff was pleasant and treated us nice. We will be back soon hopefully Valentine's Day weekend.

Went here for pre prom dinner. Waiter came and said “the chopped sirloin slaps” so the whole table ended up getting the sirloin. They then served us extremely undercooked hamburger meat. Must’ve forgotten to put the cow in the oven. Smh. The sirloin did not in fact “slap.” 0/10 would not recommend

Family owned. We used OpenTable for a reservation to celebrate a birthday. Everything was delicious and the entire staff worked together to make sure that it was a great experience. They will even repost your instagram story to their page if you tag them in your post! Try the lobster mac&cheese!

Just left this restaurant and was really hoping for a better experience based on the reviews. I go to soooo many Steakhouses and the food is cooked just right and the service is excellent. Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience my first time here. I ordered a Ribeye and asked for it to be cooked medium well and it was cooked well done and was really tough. The waiter only came once to ask how everything was and I told him the steak was overcooked and asked the waiter if he told the cook to make it medium well. He said yes and that they would recook it, but due to limited time I told him not to worry, I would attempt to eat the steak as is. I could only eat half because it was just not good at all so I had to ask for a box and will most likely disgard if my dog won't eat it. The waiter never came back to the table, but at the end after everything was boxed he asked if I wanted to order dessert. At that point......not even a chance. I said no and that I was ready for the bill. The steak was $50.00 and not even a percentage off for it being overcooked. I wish I had of went somewhere else and will most likely never go back there again. Usually in "higher end restaurants you pay for quality and service," but in this case I paid for neither and will take it as a donation to charity so that I continue the gratitude. Overall...hey, now my dog has a $50 steak to eat.

Nobody likes to be taken advantage off. Their 8 oz petite filet is 48 bucks. A side at least 8 bucks. So the waiter offered their " Special". A 6 oz filet with a side. Sure, sounded great we thought....what you think, 39 bucks or 45? He never mentioned a price. My bad I should have asked...when the bill came he charged us $75.00 each! What a ripp off! And I was hungry after the small meal...add the fact their wine by the glass list was limited. I let the waiter choose my Cab. The 20 bucks glass was no good. U think he offered a new glass or anything? Nope...blamed me for wanting a Cab....One knows these places are expensive. I get that. But it's these reasons they go out of business....avoid when you can. Spend your 220 bucks for two somewhere else....

My boyfriend and I went to McKendricks for our 8 year anniversary. It was incredible. The atmosphere was romantic and the food was unbelievable. We both had the center cut filets and they were cooked to perfection (medium rare). I will never stop dreaming about the incredible garlic mashed potatoes. The server, Antonio, was FANTASTIC. He dug to the depths of the basement to find the wine we wanted. He was very attentive yet left us to enjoy our time together. They surprised us with a large slice of the BEST cheesecake I've ever had to congratulate us on our anniversary. We try and go to different restaurants for each special occasion, birthdays, holidays, anniversary, and this was by far one of our favorites.We will definitely be dining with them in the near future.

This is a wonderful steak house. The thing I love most about it isn't even the food (which is top notch) it's the staff! Wonderful, friendly, and fast without ever seeming hurried. I dined here yesterday evening and my waiter made helpful suggestions about the menu and set and cleared my table like a ninja. I have had few opportunities to be this impressed by a service professional. It reflects an atmosphere of professionalism that most assuredly comes from all areas of the business.

I ordered the chefs cut bone in ribeye which is a prime cut. I ordered it med. because their standards call for a warm red center. It came well done destroyed. The offered to cook me another but my GFs steak was acceptable not perfect. So I settled because it’s awkward for one person to eat while another waits. I did not want to make her feel bad. They offered desserts on the house which we ordered their version of apple pie to share. When they brought it to us they apologized for being out of vanilla ice cream which they replaced with a very minty chocolate chip that did not pair at all with the pie.

I hate giving mediocre reviews. The food is fine, but sooooo overpriced. For $38, the grilled grouper should have blown me away. It was fine, but it should have been so much more than fine. Although they have a grill, the asparagus was steamed with absolutely no seasoning, not even a bit of Parmesan.

McKendricks is a great steakhouse, the service is always great. Had a dinner with 7 ordered some oysters, shrimp cocktail and some ordered soup, the table was quite quickly as everyone dug in. The food was great. Everyone's steaks were on point. We ordered 6 different sides and none of them disappointed, the lobster mash was incredible.

From the moment I picked up the phone to make a reservation to the end of dinner, everything was just perfect. It's not everyday you have an experience that meets all your expectations. From the host to the waiters, everyone was very friendly and attentive. As for the steaks, we got the NY Strip and Bone in Ribeye paired with red wine. Both were flavorful and had their own distinct taste which surprised me. My guest and I thoroughly enjoyed this exquisite dining experience. Thanks!

Went here first time for Mother's day. Fancy restaurant and pricey, everything is al a cart. I had the bass and it was delicious. All the food was delicious and the service was good. Entrees are around $20-$68. The sides are from $8-$12... $9,for fries?! No thank you. I didn't find it worth $38 for my bass and $9 for steam veggies. But you are getting quality food. The veggies are bought locally and the seafood is fresh and shipped from the Gulf. Chicken is cage free raised so I give them that.

Disappointing last visit. Our server was very inattentive, side dishes and one entree came out cold (one never got brought out until we asked) and they mixed up some orders. Had to ask for refills of water. They were kind enough to bring out a cupcake for a birthday celebration at the end. Normally fantastic service and food here so let down by our family's last visit.

This has been my favorite dining experience at any restaurant I've ever been too. The food here is amazing, he drink selection is great, but what really made them stand out was the staff. We were quickly greeted upon entering and quickly sat with water immediately filled. Our waitor really made this the best dining experience. He was very down to earth, while remaining extremely professional and elegant. He knew the entire menu front to back and never hesitated or stumbled on any questions asked. Refreshingly honest as well, when asked what he liked he gave an answer that consisted of his favorites as well as things he didn't like as much. In doing this he never managed to make it seem like there was anything bad on the menu, just made it apparent what his favorites were. Gave us great recommendations, which in turn ended up being some of the best food I've eaten. 10/10 I would recommend this place to any and everyone

My husband and I visited this establishment for the first time tonight because we wanted to try a new steakhouse in the area. The manager was extremely nice when came in the door so we thought we were in for a great night ; however, that was ruined by our waiter amber. She walked passed us on 5 different occasions and did not acknowledge that we were even there. I had to get up to get the correct drink and even after that, she still continued to attend to all of the tables around us without saying a word to us. After continuing to be ignored we decided to leave. We will continue to go to Capital Grill from now on where they treat EVERYONE with equal respect.

This place is amazing. The food was exquisite and cooked to perfection. Their appetizer tower is a must for groups. They have an excellent dinner menu with various options available without going overboard. The service is by far the best I've personally ever experienced and I loved the dimly lit atmosphere. If you are in the mood for some fine dining out looking for a place to take that special someone, give McKendricks a try. You won't be disappointed.

What you see is what you get. Great food nice ambiance and fair to decent service. A little overpriced for what was served. Tuna appetizer was delicious but for 15$ should be larger than a single sushi bite... steaks are good quality as is most of their protein products.

My lamb chops chard to perfection pink center absolutely delicious. My garlic Lobster mashed potatoes creamy and delicious. My lobster mac and cheese absolutely beautiful and delicious. All of the food came out hot which is so important. The appetizer was calamari fried crispy and was tender, seasoned beautifully. My drink was mixed perfectly with the correct amount of ice just as I asked. And the most, I mean the most important thing that started everything off was the waiter he was absolutely genuine with his kindness answered all questions with a smile and made suggestions. He told us about all the specials. This was my first time going to this restaurant "Mckendrick's" I will definitely spread the word to my friends that will appreciate a restaurant this nice and most of all I will be returning with my family of 4. One last thing the dessert was a chocolate gelato cream pie with warm chocolate poured over it, with crisp chocolate graham crackers underneath absolutely divine. Thank you Mckendrick's and staff.

If you have resd one of my reviews before, you would know I am not a big fan of wet aged meat. I just think dry aged meat yeild better tasting steaks. However, this place porterhouse was very good and grilled to near perfection. And, they took care of us. S o, if you do not have that aged budget then this is the place for you.

I expected better. For the price, 3 stars. We were a larger party, but had a reservation and were all well behaved. Apps, dinner, and drinks ran about $125 pp in a large group inc tip. Service was exemplary. The wait staff were 100% on top of drinks, including topping up water. Orders were taken efficiently and accurately from drinks to apps to dinner to dessert. No one looked for anything that the staff didnt almost instantly provide. I've been here a few times, from solo to a 20+ group, and had consistently amazing service. But...something went south in their kitchen since my last visit which was 5-stars. When one person says their steak is ... cold, it's a fluke. When they say something and another person pipes up and then a third? No, that's a problem in the kitchen. If a high end and expensive steakhouse can't consistently get a simple rare steak right they have work to do before I'd consider rating them better than 'mediocre'. Sadly, they're more than capable of making good, even amazing, food but need to deliver that consistently given what a typical meal costs.

I’ve been to Harry’s, The Palms and Chop’s since I moved to Atlanta and McKendrick’s completely blows them all out of the water the food was phenomenal!!! Steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked, roasted okra was amazing and the southern virtues cocktail delicious and strong. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Definitely going in my favorites.

Very nice place with great service. Everything we ordered was delicious except for the lamb chops. They first came out very salty, which when we told the waiter he took care of it and bought another one. The lamb chops smelled very bad. My husband said it tasted ok but when he got home he felt unwell. Dont order the lamb chops. They comped our dessert for the salty lamb chops so that was nice.

We planned to go to Stoney River at Cumberland, but traffic was atrocious, so we googled the closest steak house to where we were and McKendrick's by Perimeter Mall came up. Luckily a u-turn put us right there. Never been there before and mostly ignored the sign when passing, although I'd seen it many times. However, once inside, it became memorable. From the hostess to the ambiance, to the food, to the service, (Mike was amazing, funny, friendly and made our first experience wonderfully enjoyable) to the manager...EVERYTHING was EXQUISITE! Neither of us drink, but I can venture to guess, that too would've been extraordinarily delicious. I'd definitely recommend it and won't pass the sign again without remembering that experience. Will definitely go back!

An Atlanta classic. Located at the top of the perimeter for decades, a great steak house. Pricey expect to spend 75$ plus for 2 but worth every penny. an excellent restaurant with an excellent staff and excellent food. Great for business or dates or occasions but best for celebrations of success.

Great food! Everything we had was good! The lobster mac and cheese was excellent. It was suggested to us, because it's not on the menu and I was a little disappointed to find out it was $18. I guess I should've asked, but that's a bit steep for a side item. Although it was good I probably would not have gotten it if I had known. I felt like I got dupped. Other than that the experience, the atmosphere, and the customer service was excellent!

Came here for the first time with my in law side of the family yesterday. Its Christmas weekend so we thought we should go somewhere nice and new. The restaurant was not busy when we got there at 6. If you are coming here, make sure you have a lot of time on your hands. We waited over an hr for our food to come out after we place the order. When the food came out, the escargot was overcooked and has no flavor. My steak was burnt. I asked for medium well yes but the steak was so burnt that I cant even taste the steak. What a waste of money! My husband's steak was good thanks to the sauce. His was cooked medium. On top of that, our server didnt even come back to check on us after he took our order. So not coming back or recommended to anyone! Use your money elsewhere!

took my mother , wife and aunt to Mckendricks steakhouse because of the rating and outstanding reviews. The service was subpar. The waiter came to our table maybe twice during our dinning experience. I order my steak medium well. The steak was burned and dry. My wife’s steak was dry nd burned as well. My aunts salmon was cold and over cooked. My mother actually enjoyed her steak. The cream corn was not creamy at all, it’s was watery and contained bacon bits. The menu did not specify he corn contained bacon bits, seeing how I do not consume pork I was upset. The artichoke was over cooked and not edible. The parmasean cheese on the artichoke was burned as well. The risotto was not seasoned and extremely watery. When the waiter finally returned I notified him of the side dishes and the steaks. The waiter stated he would remove the sides dishes from the bill , but did not ask if we wanted to select another item. He also stated the steaks are suppose to be chard that is the restaurant specialty. My wife and I requests A1 and Heinz steak sauce for the steaks. The waiter literally walked pass our table 15 minutes later and stated he forgot and returns 2 minute later. By that time I had ate half of my steak and it was cold. My wife & aunt got there food to go. The manager came over and ask for feedback on out dining experience. I stated everything I mentioned above. He thank me for the feedback and offered us (2) deserts.

Great Steak everytime! I ordered the fillet and it was like cutting butter. I also want to try the bone in rib eye. The wait staff was very friendly. I mentioned the steaks but the sides are wonderful too. They come on a separate dish and are ideal to pass around and share because portions are so big. The mushrooms are cooked to perfection and large. I don't normally like corn but the corn dish was quite tasty. My fav side was the grilled asparagus. Can't go wrong there.
