Service was great, and the food was amazing. My husband declared the catfish as the best he'd ever eaten, and coming from a southern boy that's a helluva compliment. I had the chicken and waffles, and those waffles.... omg, light fluffy, sooooo delicious! Would highly recommend this place!

I loved it. My picky family even felt the same way. I can tell you the grease could have been a bit more fresh for my fries. Because of the size of the crowd and all the hungry big guys there, I thought we would have to wait a long time for food to arrive but, it actually was served fresh and hot. The chicken/ fish combo was great I ordered Chicken and Perce with fries. Others order whiting, chicken fingers. We sampled each other's basket all was great. They get a 4.5 from me. Because, it was too dark to read the menu and the music was sooo loud, damm head still ringing. I say go try the place for yourself because the guy I am seeing had his own negative reviews so, I did not invite him and I actually loved HAROLD'S CHICKEN. There was however one waitress handling mostly all the tables and she was polite and I left her a worthy gratuity. I would like to see this business grow and maybe the TV shows like restaurant makeovers could help perfect some of small issues in the restaurant. But come to Harold's Chicken it is good.

Crowded but expected on a Friday night. Due to being busy we kinda had a long wait to be served but I get it so no complaints. Food was great & so were drinks. Was there with my daughter & her friends. Good visit enjoyed our food but crowd too young for me lol. Kissed the kids & left. My rating is really a 4.5. I love this place! It 's simple; The fish, chicken and shrimp (my usuals) are ALWAYS served hot and the slaw is good. I'm not crazy about the fries - if I eat in they're usually good but not good if I order to go. Also, on my to go orders the condiments are usually forgotten or the ketchup is confused with the hot sauce. The service time is usually good and is based on the crowd size. Overall, I am still very pleased and would recommend.

Lord Knows I love me some Harold's Chicken but the quickest way to lose business is to have nasty customer service representatives (CHRIS)behind your bar! I ordered something and it was so nasty and I asked the bartender if I can get something else! She first had an attitude and rolled her eyes then snatched the drink and said let me ask my manger. Comes back with a rude attitude and said my manager said we can't take back drinks and walked away! I mean customer experience is what brings people back! If you don't like your job pick a new one but don't take it out on the customers. I'll just to the Marietta Location where at least they smile! Update —BRANDON WAS AMAZING AND HE HAS FIXED THE ISSUE AND WAS NICE WITH A SMILE

I only gave 1 star because there is no option for zero stars. The only reason I went was because a friend suggested we go before going to sweet Auburn music fest. I arrived first, stood at the front for a few mins until I saw a sign that said seat yourself. So I did just that; no acknowledgment by anyone on staff. After I sat, 2 other parties arrived and did the same. I will say this has been about 10 mins and still no acknowledgement. My friend then arrives 5 mins later, comes in and has a seat. I could keep going on but I think everyone gets my point. 20 minutes in this place and no hello, can I get you a menu, a water or nothing. My friend and I decided to give them a heads up that we sat for 20 mins without service and that we will he making our exit. Went on down the street to Sweet Auburn Seafood was seated and serviced quickly, and the food was delicious. Sorry but I will not patronize any establishment that simply ignores its customers. PERIODT.

First and last time. HORRIBLE SERVICE.. went out with my homegirl on a wednesday night arrived @9:40 placed order @ 10pm got food @10:50pm. There was a guy dancing around my table in the small space that it was in bumping against me i politely asked him to dance elsewhere as long as he wasnt brushing against me or hovering however it continued. I would assume the manager or whomever came to my table and asked about someone serving me a shot i couldn’t hear her and she INSTANTLY catches an attitude about the fact that i asker her to repeat herself. The young server in there was rude I tried to say excuse me and ask him for something he put up the finger and he never came back.. The young girl at the counter seemed to upset herself when she came to collect plates even though i just asked for my server to return whom never even given a name and or checked on me and my girlfriend within the 50 minutes that we waited for our meals. The waffles were good i assume that was the plus side. But yea id DEFINITELY never return, by the looks of it the entire staff was a little more than normal maybe just high off life or something. Im pretty sure they wouldn’t mind.

The first time I went here the food was great, but the following 3 times (2 at this location, and 1 at the other) the food had been bland af and the portion sizes were too small for the cost. Had the shrimp and catfish fries basket and none of it was seasoned and the mild sauce tasted like regular ketchup. Definitely not like the Chicago version I grew up on. They really charged me $17 for a baby'a handful of fries, a sliver of catfish and 4 pieces of shrimp. Smh. I'll be taking my money elsewhere from now on.

5 stars but with caveat. the only reason im giving this place 5 stars is because the chicken is just that good. the pricing is decent too. the staff were ok, could be more attentive but be prepared to wait like at least 30 minutes for your order. a long wait but if you are prepared for it the chicken is on point. as far as the venue goes it is not my scene but the food is good

I ordered food through doordash. The food was horrible. Everything was overcooked and burned. I ordered Wednesday night around 11. Whoever the cook was last night need to take a cooking course or class. Because my food was horrible. Chicken was burned and egg roll was burned. You could taste old grease or whatever they use to cook the food in.

Yes, it's in Edgewood. Yes, it's a hole-in-the-wall. Yes, it's slightly "hood". But that's why we love it! The chicken is incredible and the perfect spot for greasy, but delicious after-club food! Only reason they get 4-stars instead of 5-stars... the service sucks. Typical young attitudes behind the register and the food can take forever to come out. I don't go there for the stellar service, just the chicken!

Came here last weekend it took our food an hour. Waiter disappeared after taking our order and only came back to bring the food. It was around 2pm so very light crowd only 3 tables occupied and a few people at the bar. I ordered catfish and the waiter came back with tilapia like I wouldn’t know the difference.

Customer service HORRIBLE! I ordered gizzards and wings and mozzarella sticks. I recieved burned or old oil wings and gizzards with macaroni bites or whatever they are called. I called the restaurant to explain I didnt order macaroni bites but mozzarella sticks and also my food was burned or cooked in dirty oil, and tasteless. Whoever answered the phone gave me an excuse they had to shut down early because something went wrong but he would give me a call back. Never recieved a call back. I called back no answer. My issue is why take orders if your not going to serve quality food? I hate to give money and recieve nothing in return. That's bad business.

I love their chicken... Although this past weekend my fried chicken was dark and I could tell oil needed to be changed at start of business day, I will be back in hopes that it was just a one time oversight... otherwise I may have to give up on this spot. Oh my and Woowooo! We truly enjoyed the fish/shrimp comb and the shrimp/wing combo! The food was HOT. Thank God because we only waited over 45 minutes for it. The meal was well priced for the amount you get. However, I must say Donna, our waitress, was upfront by telling us the kitchen was backed up and she was VERY friendly and willing to attentive to our table. Loved her. On the flip side, PEOPLE please do not bring your children or elderly family members that may be easily shocked. This place is more like a club in the hood that an eatery. Bad enough the walk down to the place from the $10 parking lot was a little on the scary side with all the folks hanging out on the street at the other businesses, but man the things you will see on the inside. Definitely for the younger folks! Nonetheless, if I feel like eating there again, I will call ahead and get it to go.

An absolutely terrible experience and the owner is the most unprofessional restaurant owner I've ever dealt with. I ordered the shrimp eggroll as an app which was great, but when my whiting fish sandwich came out the filet was full of bones. The owner refused to refund me or give me a sandwich with no bones. Her excuse?? "You didnt ask if it had bones in it." Am I missing something here? Does anyone want caked on bones in the back of their throat? She was just floored that I didn't want the sandwich. I have never left a review for a restaurant..this one was just that horrible. I will never enter this establishment ever again. A few other patrons even told me the owner is homophobic. Absolutely horrible place.

We decided to try this place out, because it was one of the closest restaurants to us. I was definitely not disappointed! The inside was super crowded, so we sat outside on the heat patio. I was vegan at the time & purchased Jamaican veggie patties across the street to enjoy while the rest of my peeps had their meal. The server was rude and right QUICK & LOUDLY asked me to leave. Stating it was NOT OK to bring outside food to their establishment. Embarrassed over his sharp scolding, i left without my people and dined outside. i won't ever bring them business AGAIN!

This place is decent, a nice atmosphere if you're looking to eat good food and have some drinks with your friends, also an option for hookah if that's what you're into. Music is loud and the place is pretty dark at night, which makes for a good turn-up, but not if your looking to just eat some food low-key. Pricing is okay, all-in-all It was $55 for two drinks and two platters, and about a 30min wait. Our server was pretty attentive too.

Man this place is popping! I went here to catch up with old friends and family, but I got great 90s music and atmosphere pumping up the hits and cheese sticks, with a grilled chicken sandwich had me feeling right with a waitress that me feel like I was the only person that matter as she called me honey and made sure my cup was full. Great service and cool place to catch a game and catch up at. Very Atlanta!

Sorry, this place may have been the spot back in the day, but now it's just a run down dump. Trying to get through the throng of homeless people is the first turn off. Then once we seated ourselves, at a dirty table because there was no one to clean it, we waited 37 minutes before someone came to take our order. I got fried green beans. They arrived cold. I got mac and cheese bites. They arrived cold. My wife got fish and chicken wings. I was finished my food before hers arrived. There was no seasoning on the fish. The music was too loud. We couldn't hold a conversation. Every time someone opened the bathroom door, a slight waft of urine drifted out. It was a horrible experience. Won't go back.

Good food and even better prices !! I ordered ab 3 apps and a salad for like $10. My favorite part of my experience was my server Tammy. She was so sweet and very attentive. I came in by myself and i am pregnant so she continued to check on me and make sure i was ok. I didn’t have to wait long for my food and drink. It was honestly my very first time eating at Harold’s and i normally don’t eat out i always cook at home but I’ll for sure come back thanks to Tammy hopefully she’s there during my next visit.

As a native chicagoan I was excited to see Harold's. This location is way nicer than on Chicago. Here they have waiters. Our waiter was nice but over worked. Food was nice and tasty. I was with my HS prom date from 30 years ago. It all brought back lots of memories. Great neighborhood but parking is horrible

This place was turnt! I just google chicken wings and it came up. Once I arrived it was packed to the max! People inside and people outside. Music blasting and people having a grand old time. There are seats inside and out back. Hookah, full bar, and a dance floor ! Plus food! One stop shop for sure. The cashiers were irritated but they were kind. They were doing the best they could with the long line. The kitchen was extremely backed up. My order took about 45 minutes. I ordered 2 chicken wing baskets (one with shrimp). The price was around $25. Fries were included and I also added fried okra. The food was delicious. Definitely not a quiet place and not for kids. If the upper management would better organize the process I think they would definitely be a 5 star entertainment and food location.

I've heard about this place awhile ago. So when we were in the area, we definitely wanted to patronage it. I'm so glad we did. The food was amazing. We had fried green beans, green tomatoes and mac and cheese. All were good. Then our entrees... put is on another level. The service was just as amazing. Or server A.K., she greeted us, gave us her recommendations and checked on us periodically. The drinks from the bartender... amazing. We will definitely be back.

I always support up & coming businesses. I only came here because I’ve heard the radio promos. The (WINGS), NOT good. If I could upload my photos I would. The grease was OLD. And if you know wings, OLD GREASE, WINGS & FRIES do not go well together. Where is the manager? I spent $10 on a 4pc wing dinner with fries that I had to throw out because the were burnt. Wings and fries tasted like OLD GREASE. Yea the EXTRA BROWN French fry that you know tastes gross you wouldn’t feed your kids. Yes I had a HALF a dish full of them. Truly a bar and restaurant. The chicken is great...just some good southern fried chicken. The music is a little loud late on a Friday but that's the vibe of the place. My only gripe is how limited the sitting is. It's small for the type of environment it provides. You feel like you're bumping into everyone no matter where you sit or stand...and when you're there to eat, it makes it a little hard to enjoy. Our waiter was able to keep up though.

I stopped in today for lunch here. There was no parking in the front available, so I parked across the street in the lot for $3 an hour. I stayed roughly an hour. This was my second time going to this location. The first time was on a Saturday night for my friend birthday party. This place in the daytime is as consistent as the night. It was a nice crowd being only an hour after they've been open, but still spots to sit. I was greeted soon as I walked in by a handsome chocolate young man with piercings. And my bartender/ server, Jeremiah, was awesome. Very friendly and welcoming. I felt like I was in a Harolds back home in the Chi. This place gives off a laid back family vibe. I had just wings and fries and the chicken was cooked to the perfection, the Harolds way..hard and crispy. I got mine dry cause I like to add my own mild sauce and my food was nice and hot. Jeremiah was very attentive, bringing me another drink before I even asked and very prompt. I found a new spot away from home. I'll be back! Thanks guys! You did not disappoint!

The food was good but it’s too many bums hanging around harassing you for money the waitress was good.. we orders drinks and the drinks was horrible and we told the waitress she went and got the manager who walked up mean however she said they don’t replace drinks it is what it is (after the waitress had already told us the bartender was new) and walks off like she was mad.. what happened to customer services and try to see if the drink can be fixed. I definitely will Let my ppl know on fb and Instagram how rude and mean the manager was. It’s so hard to deal with our own kind and support them.

If you're looking for some good fried chicken late at night then i would suggest hitting this place. Truly a divine perfection when served. Hot, crunchy and also juicy. Which is hard to find unless you're in Magic City eating their wings or here at Harold's being served a nice set of chicken for your taste buds to savor.

A few coworkers came in after work and order food and drinks. We ordered a patron and margarita, however the drink tasted watered and full of syrup. We told the waiter and asked for another drink and he advised that the bar manager made the drinks and there’s nothing he can do. Horrible service!!!!!!’

I went the with my girlfriend who pressured me to try something new. The atmosphere was loud music looking neglected. The seating was ripped with exposed cushioning. No one greeted us. One look at the menu, and it was noticeable that everything was overpriced. It took us 20 minutes to be served on a relatively slow night. The chicken was fried nicely, but had absolutely no flavor. I don’t know why I did this, but I looked up the health department grade and it was a 65. Previously it was a 73. “No soap near the employee sinks”. Will never go here again, the food is overpriced and possibly unsafe.

Their website advertises that there’s no better place to find fried chicken - that’s false. While the meat was juicy, it didn’t taste like anything, just bland. Skin wasn’t good either which is a bummer. The fries are generic bag fries with zero salt, pepper, seasoning. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for good fried chicken.

My husband and i had a great TIME on Monday Lala was great the manger was even great we only knew her name because she walk around greeting her customers also made sure we were ok. Food was hot and fresh. Manger Robin great job. Last night we came it was different felt not as cozy as the other night. No manger greeting. But food and drinks was good.

Unbelievable experience. I ordered a Top Shelf Margarita, after sipping the margarita it was full of juice which wasn’t an issue. I ask either for another one or to get a different drink. I was then told since I already had the drink I couldn’t send it back even though I hadn’t drank it. This was right after ordering the drink. I then spoke with a manager who told me the rules are I couldn’t send the drink back. I asked if this was posted somewhere in the restaurant and the manager was clueless. Money wasn’t the issue here, this was my first time to Harold’s. First impressions are everything. Instead of taking care of the customer, the restaurant lost a customer. Petty to say the least. The owner also doesn’t realize, anybody who ever asks me about her establishment I’ll be a detractor instead of a promoter. The customer experience is crucial to any company’s success.

I came here and expected your normal chicken spot with mediocre service and subpar drinks. I was incredibly mistaken. On a friday evening during happy hour, our waitress, and other passing staff members, were more than attentive. The catfish and wings were pretty good, but I was blown away by the service. Maybe it was just our waitress, idk. But it was better than Chic-fil-a. Yeah I said it!! Needless to say, I'll be back for the all day happy hour, excellent service, and good music!

I was visiting Atlanta, and as it was my last night I decided I needed to get some chicken and waffles. It was pretty late, and this was the closest place to me still open and serving. I tried to call in an order, but after a certain time they don't really answer the phone because it pretty much becomes a club. I took an Uber down and ordered my food, waited, and then was able to head out. The food was pretty good, it just would've been nice to grab it and go upon arrival, instead of having to wait for another Uber.

Was recently in ATL for my anniversary. Needed somewhere to grab a grub and watch NBA playoffs in a casual setting. Ordered the chicken and waffles. This was some of the best chicken and waffles I can remember, absolutely delicious. I would advise that the neighborhood is a little rough. After eating, I would definitely keep it moving. Drinks were average but the food was very tasty.

Great atmosphere! Came in on Cinco De Mayo weekend, so they had a live DJ. Food was fantastic! Sweet potato tots with the dipping sauce that comes with it really blew me away! They have a free parking lot across the street as well, which is nice to know before going.

Terrible service, every staff member we encountered had a bad attitude or act as if we were a bother, Desiree was slightly more friendly. Food was ok, nothing to write home about. Catfish is not real catfish, so beware. Neighborhood is extremely unsafe and I’m from the hood, crackhead doormen opening the door for you as you enter and exit begging for a tip, experience was unreal. DO NOT GO HERE, ITS NOT WORTH IT!!!!

Dont waste your money in this establishment. Other delicious food spots in the area with respectful service. I have ate here before and the food is good. But they took FOREVERRRRR to give me my food. I kid you not it took at least 2hrs..and one of those hours I spent sitting in this EXTRA LOUD place and yet they kept lying telling me it's coming out. And I was just about to order something now and I called in to see what kind of wings they sold bc for some reason they differentiate wings from chicked when it's pretty much the same thing. The girl on the phone had a whole attitude with me and was rude so suffice to say I'll be going down the street to the Georgia Beer Garden to eat lunch.

Great chicken with that good old Chicago mild sauce! I thought it was kid friendly but clearly I was wrong. Our waitress smelled just like marijuana and there was at least 2 hookahs going from both sides of the room. I would probably go again but adults only. Place is not for kids.

The greeting when we walked in was great. It took almost an hour from the time we ordered to get our food. When we got our food my husbands cold slaw was spoiled (had a spoiled smell) mine didnt. When brought to the waitress attention she said " that's unusual" after she smelled it. When our food actually arrived, we hear the loud commotion coming from the bar. It sounded as if it was a birthday party going on but nope...it was the employees arguing to the point of fight. This was our first time at this establishment. We only came because we wanted to see what the hype was about. Honestly...I would have rather had JJs fish. We were not impressed at all. The table we not clean. Flies were everywhere. Floors at table next to us was awful. Its nasty and nobody bothered to fix any of the problems. I wouldn't recommend and I definitely wont be back. The 1 stars was given due to the greeting when we walked through the door.

The worst customer service I experienced in my lifetime. took 20 minutes for the waitress to even come to our table. we went to get the menus our self. it took 30 minutes for them to bring us some cold fries and warm chicken and when we informed the waitress she said "I'll see what I can do" mean while she and co-workers were busy taking shots and entertaining each other. they brought us some old expired blue cheese. she never addressed the cold fries when I asked about it at the time of pay she said "oh it was nothing I can do about that". wow. but she couldn't come to the table and communicate that because she was too busy partying with her co-workers. this was a horrible experiencee.

I usually love this place but today not so much, after ordering my husband an I was told 10 minutes, we actually waited more than 30 minutes for our food. Only for it to be wrong, when I went in to tell them the guy that took our order got smart with me like I was wrong. Then they actually gave us the same food again wrong again. I was shorted a wing. Like I said I usually have no complaints, I'm from Chicago so I know how the food is supposed to look and taste. Apparently they have new workers because customer service was WAY off. I more than likely won't be patronizing this place again until they have better customer service. I was completely over it. So disappointed. They literally ruined my favorite Chicago restaurant. Leave to Atlanta to turn everything into a club. Lost mad points today in my book.

I ordered my food tonight to go (an 8 piece dinner) and the head cashier told me my wait shouldn’t be more than 10 minutes. We waited about 30 minutes as the she was the one taking and pulling to go orders off the line. I have never had a bad experience with Harold’s, when I got home to eat my food which I couldn’t wait to eat, the wings were not fresh, like the we’re refried and very dark. This was a very bad experience. This is not the Harold’s that I know, just please be consistent.

I had a horrible experience at the Edgewood location on July 30th. My boyfriend and myself order 18 piece whole wings and when we got home it was 20 dummies and fries. I called back and spoke with the lady that took our order as well as the manager I was told just bring my receipt the next day and get what I ordered. I specifically asked if I needed to bring the food back and was told no why would you bring the food just bring the receipt and we'll give you what you wanted. I went the next day and was told something totally different so I didn't get what I ordered the night before and the manager said I'm sorry you were told the wrong information the night before so nothing was resolved and I will not be going back. .

My 3rd time coming. The first two experiences were basic because of the service I received. Jordan is the bartender that helped me this time! She was immaculate! She greeting me with her name and was very polite. I was unsure of my order and she was patient and explained the menu to me as well. She is def. an asset to the team!
