This place is an experience, waitstaff is awesome, if you don't know what to order just ask them. I had flower tea, I loved it but Bob did not, he really liked the ice cold beer! BBQ duck, chicken feet and pork n shrimp dumpling!!!

This is bad Mother’s Day I ever had in my 37 years of life because this place is so horrible! Don’t ever go here because they added this 15% tips to your bills!!! I don’t mind if they service you nice but they not!!! It’s a ripoff. The food is nasty, and I paid $75 for a lobster and it’s not even well cook still uncooked!

I do not think I have enough experience eating dim sum to compare it to other places. I've only been here and Canton House. I will say the staff was exceptional. The gentleman who was our server kept my son and my neice entertained while my sister and I ate. The food was hot and tasty! And the price? The price cannot be beat!

Do not get a table outside of the big room (when I mean outside, I mean inside but outside). You will experience the phenomenon specific to this restaurant called "the sad valley effect." The food will rarely visit you, and when it does it will be cold. That being said, when you sit inside the food is good. Trust me. I've performed an observational study here with a sample size of approximately 100.

When didnt get menus when we was first seated. When I finally get a hold of a server I asked for three menus and he kept asking did I want something to drink and I kept repeating I just wanted three menus. So he finally comes back with only two menus. smh So after about 3 minutes we know what we want to eat. Pretty much the whole time we was there no server came to us to ask us if we was ready to order. They just kept walking by our table like we wasn't there. I swear there was like five servers near our table and none of them came to us. So when we finally get tired of waiting and get up to leave then a lady comes up to us asking what's wrong why you leaving I just politely said we are leaving and no one came to our table. She says sorry we are busy today. That was a lie they was not busy at all. So pretty much if your african american like me your presents isnt wanted there. Just go somewhere else. I would give them zero stars if I could.

We were in the area shopping at Hong Kong Market and decided to take a lunch there. What a great place to eat! Food was 5 star at 2 star prices. We were amazed. My wife had the chicken feet and said it was the best she had had in years. The duck is to die for and so moist. Next time we are in the area it will be a must stop for us! By the way the staff are top notch.

Happy Valley is one of the few places, maybe the only place?, where you can get all day dim sum around Atlanta. The food is always good (maybe not perfect to true dim sum connoisseurs), the service is always accommodating (who needs forks, who wants chopsticks, who needs allergies accommodated, who needs special seating for wheelchairs/walkers/toddlers/etc, who has a large group & needs tables put together, any needs accommodated), there's almost always a table available unlike dim sum options in Chamblee & Doraville (short wait for folks with mobility issues is a really good thing), there's plenty of parking, and they're kid-friendly including babies & kids with autism or other disabilities. When we go, we stuff our bellies full for usually $10-$12 per person before tip. Many of the employees don't speak much English, but they're happy to get the ones with better English to help understand your requests. Many of the customers are Asian, which is generally an indication of food being true to what it's supposed to be.

One of the few Cantonese dim sum joint in town. They serve the usual chinese food menu items to exotic braised chicken feet.. In any cases, buckle up and enjoy the culinary delight. We have been there on several occasions and have always enjoyed it.

We were here for a wedding (congrats Nhu/Thai) and the food was bomb. Huge portion sizes and everything was so delicious. I was already full after the third round and wish I could've had more lobster. We will definitely try coming back here to try their regular menu.

One of the better dim sum places in atlanta. They have a decent selection of classic dim sum dishes as well as Vietnamese and Thai food oddly enough. They don't have a "signature dish" that stands out but their shrimp noodle is pretty good. Overall a better place then most.

I've grown up having dim sum and this is the most authentic dim sum place in the Atlanta area. I've tried almost every "dim sum" restaurant in the area and haven't been very pleased. The food is delicious and decently priced. The place is also big and clean, especially for a Chinese resistant. The only complaint I have is that the service was rather slow and they were under-staffed for a weekend

Food and service was horrible. After being seated, our waiter completely disappeared, we caught someone else's attention so we could order. The egg drop soup was really nasty; no flavor or salt, and very thick and slimey. I ordered the mandarin chicken, and i think the ginger used in it was old, it had a strong funky taste that reflected through the whole dish. The staff acted as though they hardly wanted to speak to us, let alone serve us anything. Our first time here was a terrible experience, and we definitely won't be back.

Food is ehh ok. However, the service sucks I had one gentleman literally give me a pitcher to pour on my own after asking for water. Like seriously?!?! Only reason I go here is for the food or I wouldn't even step back to the establishment.

My husband and I loved coming here for dinner. We found this place by attending a wedding once. The food is delicious and colorful. We went for dinner and instead of going for my go to items, I decided to try something new (which was a mistake). I ordered the Beef Lomen. I received my dish and gave it a few bites but I honestly did not like it. I told the waiter that I was very sorry but if I could change it for my favorite dish which is the Happy Family. The waiter proceeded to tell me that it was going to be a while because the cooks were eating. I accepted it and waited. My meal came and I enjoyed it. My issue was my check. I noticed that the Beef Lomen and the Happy Family were both on my ticket. I told the waiter and he said that the cooks are making me buy both because they did nothing wrong and it’s my fault I didn’t like the first meal. I payed my ticket without another word. It’s upsetting that they prefer to loose good costumers over $10.95. I will no longer recommend this restaurant.

Came here for my birthday today. Service was excellent. We got some dim sum, Peking duck, and Mongolian triple. The hot tea is a must!!! The Peking duck was tender and not too greasy. The Mongolian triple was delicious too. Our waiter was great. If you love Cantonese food, this place is the best!!!

I really enjoyed dim sum here as I currently live in a town where it is not easy to get to the nearest reasonable dim sum restaurant. Great selection with the fried sesame balls with black bean paste and other fried pastry items being very nicely done. The other selections are solid and tasty, but not extraordinary (har gow, siu mai, pai gu). The servers are very friendly and the carts are fast and furious as they should be. A comparator in Atlanta is Hong Kong Harbor which and they are both very good with differences of course with a slight edge to Hong Kong Harbor.

My niece had her wedding here yesterday (10/07/18). They charged her almost $700/table for 8-course meal. They were all suck! The soup was salty, the lobsters were soggy, the appetizer was cold.

Happy Valley is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Georgia. Their lunch dim sum is excellent and other dishes are also delicious. I've tried almost all the dishes here and you can't go wrong with any of them. All the staffs are very friendly especially Alan. Restaurant is very clean and is a perfect venue for big parties.

Once we entered, the seaiting situation was already weird and confusing for them. Once we got our dim sum nobody came back to refill our waters or nobody was available for us to ask for xtra napkins. Most of them did no understand english so it was frustrating. Once we were finished eating bc obviously there is nothing left on our plates to eat, nobody was available to come give us our tab. We had 2 separate tickets to begin with bc we did not want to confuse them at the end BUT they ended up putting our separate tickets together anyways and just told us to split it at the front cashier. This was the most confusing place ever! Besides the heated dish, everything else they served was cold, even the fried chives dumpling! Horrible Customer service! I would not go back even if someone paid me to! Do they not know that there are so many other places customers can go eat at.

I visited Happy Valley Seafood as an attendee at a grand banquet celebrating Chinese New Year. The food proved delicious and the staff very accommodating and expeditious in meeting our expectations despite the over 300 attendees. I was impressed and certainly plan on returning to sample the food again.

Dissappointed today.. When i find out many customers and my own friends witness a server losing his temper and throwing a chair because my sister n law asked for a high chair for my neice then hearing other servers talk about it. I will never recommend this place again..The server never came to apologize and the manager attempted to sweep it under the rug with a 10 percent discount. I am mix and I speak more than one language. I nor my family and friends will never go to this place ever again.

Food was VERY disappointing. We haven’t had dim sum since San Francisco and was excited to try it out here in GA. First of all the place was empty. That should have been a warning flag. Then the food was ICE COLD. It was a horrible experience and I want to warn dim sum lovers to stay away from this place. Unless of course you enjoy your food straight out of a box and into a fryer. Gross.

Service is great here. Dim sum was excellent. I go here almost every Sunday and I love this place. Tried others in the area and keep coming back to the best dim dum in the area Happy Valley. Quick seating even when long lines are at the door. This is a huge dining room. The heated carts come around continuously so be patient till you see your favorites. Over 3 different visits, I have tried almost everything and the flavors, OMG, DElicious! There's an older guy that always comes by and convinces me to try a new dish everytime. His picks are on the money. I love this place. I could eat here everyday. You have got to try Happy Valley and soon! Bt the way, very friendly team and very attentive even when crowded.

A really great experience. Though you may be initially deceived by what looks like mediocre decor, the cart service dim sum provides an excellent alternative dining style to meals served in any other kind of restaurant. The food is very decent with good variety and almost suspiciously reasonable pricing. Also be prepared to wait to park, the lot is huge but it's a very popular location.

Generally good food. Limited dim sum choices on Saturdays. I was told there are more choices on Sundays but not verified. Dinners menu and food are pretty good. Decor is just Ok. Don't go there for atmosphere.
