This was better than any TA or Petro restaurant. The size and quality of the buffet was bigger and better. The restrooms are as clean as any I've been in. Lunch time on a Tuesday plenty of truck parking. The waitresses were all friendly and knowledgeable. The food was just as good as Grandma can do. Don't tell her. Lol. I was given a veterans discount without even asking for it. They saw my hat and asked me did I serve. Needless to say my first visit was a success I will return.

Not a bad little diner. Friendly staff and decent prices (buffet and tea for about $10). Food was pretty good. Thursday is taco day. Fajitas were tasty as well. Had a Mexican/taco casserole that was mighty good. A little older place but pretty clean and lots of truck parking for semis.

Heading up I-85. Husband saw a sign that said "Steak and Seafood open 24 hours." We decided to check it out due to the fact it was a 24 hour restaurant. Because as you know if you follow my reviews we are Hot Shotters. And that being said you never know what time we will be rolling through. This time it was around 10:30 am. on a Friday. They were finishing up breakfast and putting out the lunch buffet. They even cooked us eggs and me toast. We are both so glad we stopped. It was awesome!!! Of course everything was fresh!!! Like your Grandma's and Mama's homemade fried chicken. Bar b que chicken strips, grilled chicken with peppers and onions, grilled tilapia, beef stir fry, bacon, sausage, mashed potatoes, brown and white gravy, corn, green beans, vegetable casserole, peas, white beans, fries, cornbread and rolls, sweet potato, apple, strawberry and peach cobblers. Salad bar. Sure I left out some items. Anyway my Husband and I ate for around $20.00. That is a rarity in its self. Our waitress, wish we had of gotten her name was the sweetest lady. A true southern belle. A real Georgia peach. She made you feel like you were at home with family. Christian quotes lined the walls. Every box we have when looking for good restaurants were checked with this one. Would we go back? If the spirit of the Lord leads us back in that direction. You better believe it!!! Stopped in for a quick bite, realized pretty quick we was definitely in the right spot. If you leave here hungry, it has to be your own fault. They got things here to make your mouth water for days, and your taste buds, will beg you to come back. My only complaint was the server couldnt keep up demand on the sweet tea. I need a pitcher of that stuff at the table.

I agree with nearly every review on this place. It is a little on the older side, but don't let that scare you, the food is good and the service is friendly. There is plenty of truck parking and also a little convenience store for the odds and ends that you might need during your travels. I stop here every chance that I get. Sara was wonderful she kept the buffet fresh & full of wonderful food. My hat goes off to the cooks & everyone involved in making Echo South such a pleasant experience & for the awesome food. Kim our waitress was fabulous very attentive & personable. This was our 1st visit but we will definitely be back. P.S. Sara, Kim said remember it was unsweetened tea lol (inside joke)

The only reason I can figure you have 4.3 stars is that the reviews were left by people you know! Stopped in to grab a bite and wished I would have went to DQ instead. Paid $15 for a buffet that had what looked like 3 day old food. EVERYTHING was cold and had NO flavor!! Waitress was in LaLa land. Won't make that mistake twice!!! Eat there at your own risk.

Service was good. Location was good. Expected more home cooking. Instant potatoes , ice cream not frozen. It was good, just expected aunt bee in the kitchen and she wasn’t. Family of three was told we could not sit at a table when there was a single person sitting in the table in front of where I wanted to sit. Plenty of truck parking. Pricing was fair. 32$ with tax for three on a Sunday lunch.

Love the salad bar, wish it was still available as a one trip. Didnt feel that paying for an unlimited soup and salad was worth it when I only got one plate of salad for lunch. Still the best salad bar in our area.

We were on a road trip and found this restaurant... If you love country cooking do not go here! I don't normally like to give bad reviews but you don't get what you pay for and that's for sure!! The food is VERY bland!!! I do not recommend this place.

Not fancy, just homey. Came in late morning for breakfast/lunch change over. Best of both. Bacon, grits, sausage, chicken fried steak w/gravy, greens, blackeye peas, fried chicken, cornbread, peach cobbler, good coffee. Yes, I ordered the buffet. $10 !!! I will be back.

I'm giving a two because the ice tea was good. The salad bar was warm and the hot bar cold. Mashed potatoes are instant. Chicken was very much like Banquet. We will not be coming back. Which is a shame. We live local and are always looking for good restaurants, especially with Christian owners.

This place was a very great place to eat after church. The service was timely as well as family oriented. You can bring your children here and feel completely comfortable and safe. The food is great and basically tastes like southern home cooking. It would be as if you went to your grandmas house after church. 10/10 woupd recommend.

Visited twice to make sure of the quality of the food. 1st nite order hamburger steak. It was okay so thought give them a try on the seafood buffet. My regrets is the food was greasy and cold. Boiled shrimp was not on ice and was sitting out at room temperature. Along with tartar sauce. Make comments about food being cold to waitress and got no reply. This was at 7p.m. so people was still coming in.

Good place for breakfast or anytime. Lunch buffet is good if you are extra hungry. Lots of good vegetables most days. If you are coming mainly for vegetables I wouldn't recommend Thursday as it is mostly Mexican food at lunch that day. Nice staff especially Tina & Kim. My favorite is Tuesdays when they have chicken & dumplings. If Miss Clara is in the kitchen they are like mama used to make. Off the menu I recommend the club sandwich or the pattymelt. Since Georgia is getting to be the new "Hollywood" for filming movies you never know who you might run in to. See Tina & Ethan below. Update 02/19 While the food is still good prices have gone up. Also added on 3% fee for using credit card. Won't be ordering anything else to go. Charged me for soup & salad when you get order of chicken & dumplings to go without offering you the salad you paid for. (I also heard if you do get salad to go they will weigh it also & charge you more). Paid over$27 for 3 to go cups chicken & dumplings, cornbread, & 1 sweet tea!!! Should be a charge for just soup only. So if you can eat in might be worth it(all you can eat) but not for takeout.

First time trying this place. Dont be apprehensive to eat it here, it doesn't look like much from the outside but the inside is decorated nice and is very clean! Bathrooms are spotless, employees are very well mannered and the food is delicious. I only got one thing I didn't care for(mac and cheese, tasted like the box stuff) but the fried chicken and okra are excellent and they have cobblers and ice cream for dessert. Sweet tea is perfect also, and I am EXTREMELY picky about sweet tea

Being a truck driver ive eaten at many dives choke and pukes and fast food that was made too fast. Thankfully that isnt the case with this place. Now i know everyone wont agree all the time so in saying my opinion is: the food is excellent and the staff is very friendly. Just an old school truckstop family owned since 1965. I'm a 40 year driver and have been stopping here forever. It reminds me of my early years when there were more like it. Good food, decent prices, and best of all, nice folks.

The echo restaurant to me is a great place to eat I'm from the south and traditional southern food is there mainstay they have a menu with lots of choices but my favorite is the buffet allways good allways plenty to eat and the price is right and the cobblers for desert is out of this world it's an old restaurant but don't let that stop you from stopping in the people are down home friendly and the atmosphere is quiet and relaxed I stop every time I go that way the secret is out I highly recommend if traveling and want a decent meal at a decent price

A school lunch buffet with canned green beans and spam on the salad bar. If want all you can eat of this type food for $10, Echo is your place. The cobbler had canned Peaches of a poor quality.
