REVIEWS OF Anis Cafe & Bistro IN Georgia

Michael Clifford

One of my favorite places, I average two times a week. I love the atmosphere, love the food and great wine selection. Always a great vibe here. The owner is super friendly as well as all the wait staff.

Ed Parra

Loved it. My steak was cooked perfectly and they even brought out a dessert for my co-worker who had a birthday the day we visited. Excellent service too.

T.J. Koerner

Really nice service for fantastic tasting lunch

Kitsune Fyora

Amazing little place. Loved the food and atmosphere. Will definitely not recommend this place to claustrophobic people during busy times, as it is a tiny house like restaurant with a compact parking lot (serviced through valet!). Thankfully, even though their meals are French, the ingredients are in English. Very helpful.

Dominic Cohen

Outstanding spot for french food. I had a brother come into town and asked me to take him back here.

Parvana Arkhaft

First impression is great. Will come back

Dylan

The food was good, but not special. The duck came with two legs, no breast. It was over cooked and had no jus.

Tanvir Panjwani

Great food and nice atmosphere. Even though on Yelp it says that they are not kid friendly, we called ahead and they had a highchair and were very accommodating. They even brought our daughter chocolate mousse dessert sample.

Sid Elliott

Love this place. My wife and I got engaged here. I must say that it is a little pricey for what you get. We had mussels and frites the last time we were in. The portion size was rather small, and the frites were soggy (not crispy).

Natalia Barreto

They are just and simply the BEST! We held a private dinner here for around 35 people, every detail was exquisite, the food was simply AMAZING, Mary is FANTASTIC, and our servers Luis and Jen were the best. I am forever grateful for such an awesome experience! Thank you!!

Brent Mooneyham

Great food, great service and charming atmosphere

Debiroopa Banerjee

Wonderful food, ambience and decor are certainly noteworthy. Must try dish : Ricotta tortellini with pecans + sage butter Would definitely visit again! Excuse the poor photo :)

Omg!!! I left Atlanta in 1999 and this was one of our stomping grounds for simple French Bistro food, and it was to my surprise when driving thru Buckhead to see it still there in all it's glory. I just havent been to this area since they glorified Buckhead with all the couture shops. It was busy for lunch, but with plenty of seating we were able to get a table within 10 minutes for 3 people. The meals were fantastic. I had my favorite steak au poivre with frites, cut directly from the potato-not frozen. My friend had the fish special, very tasty. We had some Whispering Angel rose' and voila... a lunch for kings.

Food was good, but in my opinion there are much better French restaurants in the Atlanta area for the value. Portions are small, which isn’t a bad or good thing, just something I noticed. The restaurant is cozy, but it is very, very loud. The host also didn’t seem like he had the time for patrons but the rest of the staff were polite.

Marty Danceva

I actually had fun at this place, the food is incredible, plus the restrooms were not bad for public. It was a little chilly inside, so that was not the best. The wait is good. I will definitely think about returning again if I ever land the possibility. Me as well as my pal ordered the pizza as well as we were not dissatisfied. My one recommendation is to maintain the cool outside. Come again!

Eric Lestandie

Excellent lunch with friends. Merci. Mussels, steak frites, crème brulée. A great French restaurant in Buckhead.

Louis Mattia

Food and service was outstanding. Have a really nice wine list. It dies get loud in there when the restaurant gets full

PePe Kinnard

Quaint and casual yet continues to bring creative and fresh next level dishes. Jeff Gomez (Chef) will not let you down. The wait staff are attentive and knowledgeable. They have the whole package! If you’re reading this review because you are considering trying it.. GO!

Kersha Curtis

venkatesh g

Best pasta with live music!

Joel Kelly

A favorite lunch spot!

Alice Gamble

Adore the ambiance and food

Pamela Buie

Love being able to sit in an open air covered patio while eating delicious food. If you come while it's busy and want to sit outside, be prepared to speak up as it can get a little loud outside. There are quieter options on the smaller side porch and inside. Lovely, intimate atmosphere. Can't wait to go back.

baseballauburn31

Excellent food. Beyond excellent service. Really accommodated my group of 9 perfectly. Loved it!

Phel Lagrange

Good food and service. Also 5 stars for the valet parking. A little empty for a Friday night.

Jonathan Glass

Fantastic food and service. Waiter was helpful and informative. Food was phenomenal. But we all discovered that we hate blue cheese after trying it on the cheese plate & in the rissoto.

Darin Wilson

Awesome food. Great service. Casual setting, but maintains intimacy. Great for dates. The menu shows variety and seasonal/periodic specials make return visits something to look forward too. Quite a departure from the "sameness" paradigm of many restaurants. Lastly, the experience stays consistent! It remains one of may favorite eating spots in ATL.

Allison Boyacigiller

Wonderful dining experience. I loved the crowd, low lighting, dripping with all the whimsy I adore. The food was fabulous and service spot on. Looking forward to returning with the man I love.

Misha B.

Solid spot for straight forward and simple food. Everything was well done and made with care

Jeffrey-Michael Kane

Anis Cafe is the single-best restaurant in Atlanta...hands-down.

Dalton Peters

One of my fav spots for tasty french food. Honestly my favorite evening place. Service treated us so nice. The prices are well within reason for the quality.

Nathan Edwards

Great food. Casual and relaxed atmosphere. Food was served quickly and was delicious.

Jeannine Strahan

Such a fun experience! Food and staff were great!

Keeley M Carter

Cosy and intimate with good food. I had the charcuterie plate as it was late. My only complaint is the noise level.

Joe Syfert

I’d give it 6 stars if I could. Great food, great vibe and the staff gave some excellent recommendations!

Marti Kirsch

Great patio food is ok - this is a restaurant that I want to like but can't

Michael O'Neill

Excellent food, good service

Alex Gibson

This place is awesome. Food delicate and absolutely delicious. I don't like artichokes but I loved them here! Friendly, attentive and accommodating staff. They have patio seating and were pet friendly with me and my pup. My new favorite weekend dining spot!

Chris Grenz

Been dining here for many years and always happy to return when I travel to Atlanta.

James Eun

The place was super packed and so our group of 4 felt kind of cramped. The wine recommendation was good and the dessert sampler was brought out nicely. The cheese plate could use some work in term of presentation, but it was good. Lastly, the espresso that I had ordered was solid. In general, i really like the vibe here and will be coming here again

Guillermo Newton

This is a gem of a restaurant! Lovely garden dining; Wonderful food- lamb, scallops, octopus, fresh summer veggies. Excellent wine and attentive service make it one of Atlanta's finest restaurants.

John Norton

I've enjoyed Anis multiple times. It is a wonderful restaurant - every time.

Evan Ruff

French casual with above average food. A fun time.

Cathy Morgan

One of my fav places for delicious French food. The service here is friendly. Prices are fair I would say.

Brett Walker

Average service and food. It was slow and only one of our three dishes were great. Underwhelming.

Tekey Ringer

Enjoyed the cozy environment. The food was good and the staff was alright. I enjoyed trying French food.

Pavel Mynar

Perfect place and very good service and food is best.Thank you so much.

Mackensie Henderson

Delicious and the atmosphere was perfect for s girl’s Saturday brunch!

Shaniece Theodore

My family enjoyed their meal. I had the beef short ribs with ricotta tortellini which was good but my food was served lukewarm. The seating is a little crowded but overall my dinning experience was good.

Christine Giustra

I really love enjoying special occasions at Anis. Their moules frites are exemplary of the dish, and the ambiance is perfect.

Hunter Garrett

My wife and I really enjoyed our night out here. It was a nice night out, so we were lucky enough to get a quiet spot on the side porch. I will say the larger section of the porch in the front was quite loud, so I'm glad we didn't get sat there. The service wasn't stellar, but the food made up for it. We'd definitely come back!

Saed Rezayi

Absolutely gorgeous restaurant. My wife and had an awesome time here, we sat outside although it was a warm Summer afternoon. There were fans all over the place to kill the heat. And of course they have a large wine menu. I ordered trout and it was well cooked, and before that the fresh bread and butter was killer. All in all we enjoyed the vibe and definitely recommend the place.

Matt McCoy

A bit pricey, but well earned. A long time success, Anis Cafe and Bistro is not a secret and certainly not unpopulated. Steady menu, good specials, a cozy bar, complimentary valet parking, and a covered outdoor dining room all add to the reputation of this country French Buckhead staple.

Jim Slemenda

Wonderfully prepared food, excellent service, helpful and friendly staff. We attended Sunday brunch for our 45th anniversary, because we were impressed by the brunch menu. 'Twas a very good choice. We'll return.

Cat Williams

I went here to celebrate my birthday this year. I really enjoyed the atmosphere (I wished I could've gone on a Thursday for the live music). I started with the potato and squash soup, then I ordered the Confit de Canard and had a glass of the burgundy Pinot noir as my server recommend. I really liked everything and I can't wait to go back.

Mark

Always great food and fun atmosphere.

Heather Johnston

This restaurant experience was great. I ate during brunch, and had an amazing meal with a mimosa. Service was great, as was the price (I used the Atlanta pass book). The best part though is the feel. This place is cute and romantic!

Christine Butler

Always so charming and good. Go here for true Euro French charm and atmosphere

Nancy Asiatico

The food and wine and service was spot on!

Christine Lloyd

One of my favorite place in Atlanta. It is an adorable French Cafe. The ambiance is relax and the food is great. I am French and I can tell you: this is authentic French.

Jonathan Gomez Carrascal

Excelente service. Excelente food!

John Shamoun

One of the best places in Atlanta to catch brunch. I remember coming out to my mom and brother at this place, and it was just the right place at the right time. Thanks Anis for making everyone feel welcome!

Devin McKinley

Got the special, duck breast. Was over cooked and server over "ragout" aka slop. Usually it comes already sliced, this didn't and kept cooking. $38 for an App amount of food, disappointed.

Josh Coleman

Delicious food, fantastic service and wonderful atmosphere especially on one of the 2 patios! For more a more intimate setting sit at a table in the bar area and order from the awesome tapas menu. That's my favorite!

Brian Lee

Dropped in hoping for a French cuisine treat around dinner time. We were lucky to come in before the crowd, so the service was pretty quick. Parking is via complimentary valet, but you can also go around the building and park in the back yourself. The ambience and decor is nice, with porch-like seating that allows air to flow during the hot days. You really don't feel like you are in the middle of a big city. Service as mentioned before was quick and friendly. The order was taken promptly, and the food came out surprisingly fast with complimentary bread and butter. But that's where the star rating stops in going up. We ordered the duck and chicken (photo included) dishes. The speed of the food being served was the first sign that at least parts of the dish was already made well in advance. The duck came out tender but a bit salty. The veggie side was on the shy side and it made the dish seem disproportional. The veggies were also hard and could have used some more tenderness. The roasted chicken was slightly salty as well and dry in some parts. The green beans were tender, but the accompanied sauce for the chicken was lacking too... could have used some more. The menu also says potatoe puree, but it's just mashed potatoes. Just those two dishes came out to nearly $60... way overpriced for the quality that was served. It is not authentic French, but French-inspired tailored to the Southern palate.

Abel Rojas

The food, as always, was stellar, and parking valet was incredibly charismatic. Our only real issue was that our waitress was a little quick to take away our drink menu and then disappeared for a good thirty minutes when we hadn't yet ordered

Joshua Davis

Sunday brunch is the best time to visit, especially if the patio is open. Service is slow, much like a real French restaurant. Valet parking is also mandatory and signs posted actually say that a gratuity is expected.

Matt Jackson

This place is known for its mussels and they were good, but the scallops were AMAZING! Also enjoyed the snails and trout. Everything was cooked really well. Our waiter was on top of everything all night and he brought us a dessert for no charge!

Jenny Huffman

Fine location for French food. Filled me up in no time. It has a great interior. I can see why they have so many good reviews.

AnnMarie Noyman

Anis was outstanding. The food was much better than anything I've experienced in a long while. The wine list extensive. My friends and I shared a table on the patio we reserved for our lunch gathering. We shared the halibut special with seabeans and cappelinni onions, a salmon salad cooked to perfection, and a wild mushroom ravioli with a lovely sauce. Everything was wonderful. We each enjoyed a glass of wine from their list; a sparkling white, chardonnay and a rose. All were excellent. We finished the meal by sharing their strawberry pineapple sorbet topped with fresh strawberries and blackberries and a light dusting of powdered sugar. The service was good. It's tucked away off the main drag in a quaint neighborhood with other shoppes and restaurants. They have valet parking so no worries about finding a place to park and walking. The decor is quaint eclectic French bistro. We had a lovely time and we'll be back.

kelli perkins

This was a really cool brunch experience. Food was great, service was amazing, atmosphere was awesome, and the cocktails are on point! The patio is one of the best in the city!! Great place to take out of town guests or a date. Loved this spot!

D Williams

Food was delicious. Stellar Ambiance. Waiter Chris was professional & personable just Amazing made our evening delightful. A little wine, a little escargot, perfectly seared tuna, & creme brulee. tout simplement fabuleux!

Laura Banks

After the good reviews we decided to try this place. The building and atmosphere were very nice. Also, they were able to accommodate a food allergy. Our good experience ended there. We had hair in our drink and food. Our waitress literally growled at us for asking for straws. Our food arrived incorrect. One of our three meals didn't have a hair or arrive with incorrect food. The food we were able to eat was oily and tasteless. To top it off, the waitress only came to take our order & bring our check...that's it...and said she couldn't split the check. Find another place to eat. The service and pasta here will make you lose your mind and money. Very disappointing.

Amy C

Everything was delicious. The flavor combinations were a treat for the tastebuds and the presentation was beautiful. Wait staff was attentive. A perfect meal to say au revoir to 2018 and bonjour to 2019!

michael flam

Great food great service

Cool bar. Lots of good wines to choose by the glass. We had the mussels and they were great

Cathy Bosko

We truly enjoyed a wonderful Easter Brunch. All our favorite foods! Owner and staff are amazing. Will recommend to everyone! Regular menu looks awesome. Congratulations on true success.
