First time coming here tonight and upon walking in it was very busy and after eating there, I see why! Great food! Fantastic service! The host was quick and accommodating to our 3 kids and Laura our server was AMAZING! Very quick and attentive! And they give teddy grahams to the kids. Best experience I've had in quite some time. We will be back!

My date n I had to wait over an hour after we ate our appetizers just because the Health Inspector was present. A waitress informed us of what was going on. Then on top of that, dirty pots n pans were taken to a back room/office near the bathroom during the Health Inspector visit, not sure why it went back there but those pans never came out.

Purposely take the phone line off the hook at the end of the night so they don't have to answer pick up. man answered and told me to wait on the line for 30 minutes until they closed and never took my order and when I went in would not let me place an order anymore even though they displayed such rude customer service and the person should be fired

You can tell that this isn't just some "run of the mill" Mexican restaurant. The food was better quality and the lady who waited on us (Veronica was her name, I believe) was very friendly. However, the prices weren't any higher than the run of the mill place. If we're in the area again and want some good Mexican food, we'll definitely keep this place in mind.

Please, carefully inspect your to-go order before leaving this restaurant! On December 15, 2018, I had a horrible experience at Agavero Cantina- Lilburn. I placed a to-go order, by telephone, for a Burrito California, and drove to pick it up 20 minutes later. When I arrived at the restaurant, I went inside the restaurant and went to the bar to pick up my order. An unknown woman had just paid for her order and left the building. I told the bartender I was there to pick up my to-go order. I bartender said "one second", and I waited until he addressed me again. At that moment, the unknown woman came back to the bar and told the bartender that she had been given the wrong order. The bartender took the order, placed it on the counter, and proceeded to give the woman a different order. At that moment, I realized that the woman had taken my order previously and returned to exchange it for her order. The bartender tried to give me that order, knowing that the woman had left the building. He told me, "it was just a few minutes ago". I asked him if he was serious. I said you need to make me a new order. The bartender said it would be a 20 minute wait, and I said that would be ok. In approximately 20 minutes, the bartender said my order was ready and asked for the payment. I paid for the order. While waiting for my change, I checked the food and noticed that it was cold, even the cheese sauce on the burrito was ice cold. It was at that moment that I realized the restaurant had given me back the same order the lady returned over 30 minutes prior. I asked for my money back, grabbed the receipt, and left the restaurant. I have never had such a bad experience at a Mexican restaurant before, or any restaurant for that matter. The receipt stated "AM BAR" under the server details. I ordered a Steak Burrito California.

Any other time I would've given 5 stars. My family and I usually eat here when we want the BEST authentic mexican food in town. However, tonight we ordered it for pickup. Long story short, not only was the lady who took the order over the phone rude, but we spent nearly $60 on food to not only NOT get our 2 orders of flour tortillas, and an order of corn tortillas to go with our steak fajitas, carne asada, and chicken fajitas....but we didn't get our beans and rice with none of the meals either! My husband attempted to call 3 times, the line was busy the first 2 times. 3rd time nobody answered. I'm livid, and disappointed

Best Mexican restaurant in town. The portions are just the right size. We had a party of 6 which included a 7 year old who spilled her milk everywhere. Multiple people rushed over to help clean it up and didn't once seem annoyed even if they were . The food comes out in a very adequate amount of time and everything was cooked just right. We had a birthday in our group and the servers came out in a group wearing celebration masks while singing and dancing. Four adults and 1 child all ate meals and drinks for under $100. The bathrooms are tucked way in the back and there are 2 stalls in the women's room. It's a bit tight and a wheel chair could fit but it could be a bit of a squeeze. All in all always a good spot for Mexican!

Very flavorful food, that has a great authentic flavor. Quick service and a really fun atmosphere. The kids love seeing all the Mexican wrestling decorations. The food came out quickly with a good mix of original dishes and traditional favorites. The staff seem to be in good mood and friendly even with difficult customers.

This is a great restaurant if you want affordable Mexican food done well. Their menu is a step above your typical Mexican restaurant in terms of options and quality, but the prices are still extremely reasonable. The atmosphere is lively and comfortable, and the service is fast and friendly. I appreciated that there are a number of non-standard vegetables and vegetarian options, like nachos that come with cauliflower and broccoli along with other more typical vegetables found in Mexican cuisine, and enchiladas with spinach and mushrooms. Don't go here expecting anything fancy, but you can expect a very good, more diverse take on standard Mexican fare.

A 4 because of 1 bad Barbara(waitress). The food is great, specially anything with steak. Have been several times and never any issues until that 1 time, she was rude about the orders(party of 4), didn't check on our drinks, didn't even address 1 of the guest at our table. Charged the tip(18%) ahead.... this was never done before even with a party 8. Laura is always great and the bar is always fun... bartenders and guests.

First time here and it won't be the last. I finally found a Mexican restaurant with a decent vegetarian menu. I had delicious broccoli and cauliflower fajita with some of the best rice and refried beans I have ever eaten! Bravo Agavero!! The waitresses were attentive and the guys bringing out the food were not playing around. A must visit for delicious, authentic Mexican food!!

On my 1st visit I left a $5 tip for $33 biill and discovered later that they had augmented the tip to a $15 dollar tip "by accident". On their 2nd chance I was told that they could add extra alchohol to their weak house Margarita for a dollar only to learn that they would give me a shot of tequila to add to the drink for 6 bucks. The food is mediocre and the AC is almost nonexistent. Avoid this place if you can.

Thats the second timei I asked for coffee and they're out. I cant believe that kind a restaurant always is out. Cup wasnt clean and when i told The waittess she wasn't very friendly and i think thats unfair when they include 18% for that kind of service !!!! Food is good but that's not everything!!!!

Out side patio was not welcoming ..it was sooooooo hot with not really no air...the fans outside did nothing but blow hot air around... Industrial fans could help cool down paying customers and their kids.... Ceiling fans are for enclosed patios.... Food was popping!! Open Patios more of a industrial fan.... I used to LOVE coming here to eat. I think we ate at this restaurant at least twice this week. Once we find something we like, we’re pretty consistent. Unfortunately, tonight was the worst dining experience I’ve had in many years. The small issues were that the waiter forgot our appetizer. When we finally got it we were a good 20-30 minutes into our wait for food. He got the orders wrong for me and my son. For our son we just ordered a second meal and paid for both. The waiter asked if I wanted my order remade so it would be correct. I said yes, that would be good. Here’s the big issue-When I got my “new”/remade order, they had taken parts off the old plate to put on the new one. And there was a long black hair shoved in the food. I can overlook accidents. I know people are human. But, I do not feel the hair got there by accident. That hair was with the recycled food and when I poked through the food earlier on the first plate, that hair was not there. The manager came by, apologized, and took the plate off the order. But our whole experience was ruined. And how can I trust the same kitchen staff and servers to make me something else? I will never come back to Agavero and I do not recommend it to anyone else. Furthermore, I do not feel management went far enough to remedy the situation. When something like hair gets in your food, simply saying you will not charge the customer for the hairy food is a given. Asking if you can get them something else is absurd. In my opinion the whole ticket should have been written off. Taking that loss would have better communicated a sincere apology and a value for the customer’s experience. If that had happened, I might have concluded the cook and/or wait staff was terrible but I would have trusted the manager to make needed improvements with the employees. Instead, I walked away with a lack of confidence in the manager as well. Let me add some additional context because someone asked: The waiter forgot the appetizer and it came out 20-30 minutes after we ordered it and reminded him of the order. We did not receive one refill on our drinks or water. The waiter brought out the wrong food for my son. We ordered my son a regular quesadilla. He brought out the kids version. Now mind you, we didn’t even have the kids menu with us when we ordered. So, we just ordered another one. I asked for 2 bean quesadillas and 2 cheese quesadillas. He brought out 4 bean quesadillas and told me cheese was in there. Yes, I feel the hair was intentionally put in the food. I cut each of the quesadillas in half when I got my first plate, just to check them. When I got my “new” order, I had two of the same bean quesadillas (they were cut in half) and the string of hair. If you had a good experience there, I’m glad for you, but I can’t support spiteful business like that and wish you would not either. I could have been okay if I thought this was an accident. But the recycled food and length of the hair tells me otherwise.

This place rocks! Someone recommended my wife and I go so we went on a Thursday and it was nicely packed. That's due to the mariachi band playing various songs like MY GIRL and others to enhance the mood. Oh and if you have a birthday the waitstaff all come out with wrestling mask on and sing for you. Great food and drinks and atmosphere. Try the taquitos below with black beans and rice and you'll be going back again and again!

I stopped in on lunch break because it was very close and had great ratings. I ordered the shrimp quesadilla and I'm not at all happy with it. The onions are entirely too sweet. There was literally only 1 piece of red pepper about 3 pieces of green pepper, plus a "chunk of pepper". Not too mention the quesadilla was not cut like most Mexican restaurants do. It's like eating a shrimp and cheese sandwich on a tortilla. I personally didn't care to much for the salsa but the chips are pretty good, kind of thin. Had a virgin mango margarita while I waited on my ordered, after about 3 sips it was gone and nothing but crushed ice was left, the bartender fixed it and it was definitely better. Although I can't say that I'd return for the food I would certainly be open to going back to try more Margaritas!!

Worst service. From the second we came in till we left. It took over 15 minutes to get our water and then to have our appetizers rushed to then have the so called manager come talk to us who then took over our table left on a so called emergency then came back and never took ownership of our issues and then when we asked to talk to him he never came he was just standing around talking to people. While there were over 4 employees just standing around. We only appetizers 1 being guacamole and the other queso. And that took forever and the fries undercooked. And of course just our luck that the work van was blocking our car and the manager knew we were waiting for him he didn’t have the courtisy of coming out to move the car he actually had to sent another employee. Horrible horrible service and food would never come back. Over 2 hours for a few apps imagine if we ordered more food.

Waited over an hour for our food because the "health inspector " showed up. Not to mention there were several employers taking expired product to a back room and a filthy cutting board being taken to this room. My table never got cleaned off from the appetizers, they neglected my table the entire time. If I could I would give them a negative star rating.

Food was dropped at table and no follow up or refill etc. Waited 10mins before I got my bill. Everyone too busy chatting with each other and I guess a few regular customers.
