I got a steak sandwich with cheese and onions. I am from the North where the steak is shaved, but this place put slabs of steak on bread. It was surprisingly tender and delicious. Just make sure you speak some Spanish, they don't seem to know much English.

One of the best Dominican restaurants with a no frills attitude. Excellent prices, big portions, and a humble experience. Try the pernil, carne guisada, tostones, and black or red beans. Also try the homemade Flan. Fresh bread and bakery is amazing every morning.

We came back to see a newly renovated restaurant around 4pm and the service was ok...may have been the music was too loud for the server to hear and because you have a glass in between, it makes it difficult to communicate. There was no line at this time but to our liking, the food was cold...good tasting but cold. The place looks good, but I suggest the temperature needs to be at over 130 degrees as needed for consumption.

Checked this place out about 10 years ago, just came back and wow - did they upgrade! Nice digs! The food is just as I remembered it though, if not better. The system is a bit unique - choose what you want from behind the glass (nothing is labeled), they plate it up and you pay at the end of the line. Then you sir and they will bring it out for you. You are going to start with rice (yellow for me), beans (black, natch) then some form of protein (birria of course), plantains perhaps, and/or a variety of salads at the end. We paid $20 with tax for two mounded plates and two soft drinks. Amazing - would be back once a week if I could. Don’t be intimidated if you don’t fit in (like me), ask questions discretely as needed, or just point and take a chance. Highly recommended.

The customer service is really bad! I went to eat with my husband, I saw that the serve to much for me, so I asked the server if there was a smaller potion. He said only if you get it to go, so we order one order to eat in and two to go. When I asked the waitress for an extra plate she said that she couldn’t give me an extra plate because I had order food to go too. The person at the register also refuse me a plate. I don’t get it, I spend 20.00 in food and they can’t give me an extra plate. I don’t understand what is the big deal. I am a customer, just as if I would have order two orders to stay. One extra plate and one very happy customer, that is all they had to do. I guess good customer service is important to them.

Eveything looks fresh!! It had been remodeled not too long ago and looks great.. Almost like a Chipotle vibe but with Dominican food. All the food is displayed. I had the arroz con gandules with red beans drenched over it (how I like it) and pulled pork and a side of avocado salad.. It tasted so amazing. Many Hispanic restaurants don't have real flavor.. This one does. When you order it for eat-in, they put it on a plate and we are talking about a good amount.. Then after you pay, you sit down and they bring the plates to you. Everyone is so nice!! The deserts, I didn't have any (no room) looks so delicious. The presentation alone makes you want to take a bite from each dessert. Next time I go I will def take many pictures.

This place is pretty great. I’m your average white guy who can’t speak Spanish but it’s not a problem here. They have lots of bilingual workers that are courteous and helpful. If you don’t speak Spanish you don’t have to worry about being shy, just come on it and order. I suggest the presses Cuban sandwich. It was the best I’ve ever had. Their other hot dishes are spectacular and the deserts look amazing, although I have yet to try one.

This is a great spot for authentic latin food. My husband and I stopped in here on our way back to St. Pete from Altamonte Springs. I would definitely go back when in the area. The food was in point and the portions were HUGE! Mine ended up being three meals. And it was not over priced at all. Two meals (one chicken, one roasted pork both with rice) a side of plantains a side of macaroni salad, and a cola champagne was under $18. And the macaroni salad was AMAZING. I haven't had macaroni salad that good outside of my mom's. And hers is the best. Highly recommend checking this place out.

Today is Friday me 17th stopped in to the restaurant this morning ordered 2 sandwiches 26 minutes later my order was done. Extremely too long to wait for 2 sandwiches that I've ordered many other times had gotten less than 10 minutes I felt that the service this morning was sub par um the 2 people working should know since the urgency of the 5 or 6 people that were waiting on their food very poor Service. In the sad part is the young man that was waiting on me didn't even care he was so busy socializing that he one getting customers taking care . You're not even deserving of one start a really should just be a 1/2 star

All staffs are friendly and line goes really quick. Cafeteria style set up and now they extended the restaurant. My all time favorite is Tripe soup. Highly recommended.

This is a great spot for authentic latin food. My husband and I stopped in here on our way back to St. Pete from Altamonte Springs. I would definitely go back when in the area. The food was in point and the portions were HUGE! Mine ended up being three meals. And it was not over priced at all. Two meals (one chicken, one roasted pork both with rice) a side of plantains a side of macaroni salad, and a cola champagne was under $18. And the macaroni salad was AMAZING. I haven't had macaroni salad that good outside of my mom's. And hers is the best. Highly recommend checking this place out.

Today is Friday me 17th stopped in to the restaurant this morning ordered 2 sandwiches 26 minutes later my order was done. Extremely too long to wait for 2 sandwiches that I've ordered many other times had gotten less than 10 minutes I felt that the service this morning was sub par um the 2 people working should know since the urgency of the 5 or 6 people that were waiting on their food very poor Service. In the sad part is the young man that was waiting on me didn't even care he was so busy socializing that he one getting customers taking care . Best Dominican food, I always have to stop either sit down or take out from this restaurant. Food is amazing and portions are also great, so many selections of food to choose. All staffs are friendly and line goes really quick. Cafeteria style set up and now they extended the restaurant. My all time favorite is Tripe soup. Highly recommended.

This restaurant is one of the best restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I've been going there for almost 5 years. The service has always been good. The staff is amazing. They are very friendly and make sure everything goes great with your order. If you like their food, I would suggest that you get their number and make sure you place an order on the phone so you don't end up wasting too much time when you get to Tu Casa. If you never have a Tu Casa meal, I would suggest you do so. After you do, you definitely will go back for some more.
