This Restaurant corresponds to the category of Mexican restaurant.
Hugely overpriced trendy wanna be Mexican place. You have to place your own order on a tablet yet still get charged 18% service,. Very complicated for a large group or even a small one of five we had. That also serves as the menu and they give u one tablet. Seriously simple things need to stay the same. As for the food it's Gringo Mexican at best. Would not recommend or return
The tacos are delicious. Had the steak, egg and smoked Gouda breakfast taco. Ordered two but one would have easily been enough. Loved the salsa bar with the large variety of sauces.
Very nice place by the BCC. It is spacious and offers both indoor(cooler but louder) and outdoor (humid but calmer) seating. We happened to be there during happy hour and ordered five dollar huge Margarita cocktails which were awesome. We also tried literally all of their tacos (also happy hour menu) and their guacamole. It was all great! Staff are very friendly and cheerful; sometimes we'd see them dance to the music! Very pleasant experience.
Great experience. You order on an iPad, and no exaggeration, our order came out within a few minutes. Appetizer, tacos, cocktails.. all came out super quick and was delicious. The staff is very attentive and friendly. There is lots of room for groups
Worst place ever, overpriced and they charge you 18% for order on a galaxy tab. On top, when you claim they said 18% is because hospitality taxes are higher in their place. The manager signed and said will charge my wife and I less but never got the refund. 10 days after I called to talk to the manager and still waiting for the call! Dont waste your money in this place
Place is well maintained and staff is always there for you. They serve the best tacos in town and i love IT!!!
Very nice food, efficient kitchen and super service
Great food but $$$ and portions are small
Service is fast, food is delicious and a variety of options in the menu. Great drinks/cocktails to pair with the food. Shrimp tacos and octopus tacos are a must.
Sadly this place was not worth the wait. After waiting 35 minutes to be seated, I was not impressed by the food. We ordered an iced tea in person rather than over their tablet menus. Once it arrived we found out that an iced tea was not really an iced tea but rather a sparkling drink that was far from expected. The nachos were less than impressive, coming on a much smaller plate than expected. The only good thing we happened to get were the carnitas tacos. On the other hand, service and the atmosphere were excellent.
$170 for tacos? For me, wifey, a 6 year old and a 2 year old. The ambiance is spectacular, the mall is beautiful.... But I just don't feel like i got my money's worth. If you want to people-see and sit in a beautiful restaurant you'll get it. If you want really good tacos, for a decent price - try elsewhere.
Great taste awsome food. The staff was very attentive and polite. Food is served fast even on a packed night. The portions are small and the price is set to fit. I enjoyed every bite and the drinks are amazing. You can order a mix and variety of food to satisfy your palate. I definitely would recommend Tacology. The Restaurant is well located the atmosphere is inviting. Check it out.
I love not having to waive down my server to order a drink! the have tablets at the table for ordering, you still get a server but when they are not around you can just press a button and your drinks come to the table!
At Tacology, every meal is not only delicious, but beautiful to see and originally presented. The Mall where Tacology is located, is a destination in itself, and Tacology, the best of culinary stop.
Great place, super fast service. Always start with a side of guacamole and nachos, its awesome. I recomend the cochinillos tacos and the tuna taco, they are perfect, enjoy :)
Food tastes fantastic, staff is lovely and the atmosphere is cool. Still, $14 for a weak margarita and $8 for two carnitas tacos seem a bit excessive, even for Brickell.
Very nice place. The food is great and the service is great because they use an iPad to continuously bring out what you want when you want it.
Extremely overpriced. You pay over $15 dollars for tiny tacos more like samples... $ 8 dollars for beer and $18 for a margarita that consisted of mostly ice... let's not forget 18% service charge even though you have to place your own order on a tablet... I wont be going back not I recommend...
The tacos are incredibly fresh! The Al pastor was unbelievable. Ariadna was super sweet and very helpful navigating us through the menu. Definitely have to check out for anyone visiting Miami!
Fun environment and solid small dishes. Good vibe in the city centre. It's a drinking place think fancy bar for social occasions, not a five star restaurant by any means. Come for the drinks, the food is not going to completely amaze you, but it's not horrible food either. Small portions size.
I just enjoyed their food. I always get great customer service here. The place is neat and the staff members are always very friendly. Will come back again.
This pace is pretty yum. The guacamole with pomegranate (or the trip which includes it) is s great place to start. The pastor taco and the rock shrimp tostada are delicious as well. It's nice to be able to order from the tablet at the table and to see a picture of the food .. You can even edit the dish from the tablet to remove items you may not fancy. The outdoor seating is nice .. Shaded and plenty of air movement with the fans.
Loved it. Fun place for tacos. Great atmosphere, innovative menu and our server was terrific. We'll be back for sure.
Food was mediocre at best and super overpriced. Service was slow and server seemed like he was doing us a favor every time we asked him for a drink or an order.
Worse nachos I have ever had. Tortillas soaked in what seemed like velveeta cheese. The toppings were minimal and tasteless. Taco Bell would have been better. Prices are high for the quality and quantity of food served. Tablets are worthless if you have a special request, service was slow and you still get hit with 18% gratuity!
Best Tacos in the city in an incredible decor. Service impeccable. Margaritas are huge and great. Highly recommended
Is not the Mexican food I was expecting, However, is really good, the cocktails are delicious... the prices are high, is a good atmosphere.
Awesome authentic mexican cuisine. Beautiful decoration and great atmosphere. Good for groups or dates. Ordering is very easy with the touch screen pads in each table and service is fast due to several simultaneous kitchens. Portions are small for the price but the food is delicious.
Such a good place to eat tacos and enjoy a place full of lights and night fun. The spicy options are not very spicy but are still good enough.
The price of the food is absolutely ridiculous for what you get. Also, it's a pain to order from a single iPad when you have a table full of people. Place take note of the 18% service charge added. Was rather interesting when you don't even speak to the server. My only request was for more chips with the $12 guacamole, as it only comes with maybe 20. This too added another charge. What a joke....
Pretty good food. The ordering is all on their tablets and the staff pretty much just brings the food out as you order it and they try to keep your glasses full of whatever you're drinking. Nice location in the mall. One wall is all glass and it can get really hot if you are on that side of the restaurant
Great food. Waiter did not know how to properly split bill. Needs further training.
It's a hit or miss depending on the day but overall great ambiance and service. Expensive for a taco place
Guacamole ONLY! Hands down the BEST in town, no kidding take it from cook I know an excellent when I taste one!
Why so expensive! Just ate there thinking the tacos were going to be espectacular, they only give you 2 tacos for $9 smh. What a disappointment.
Service was fast, but impersonal. Price is higher than expected for experienced wnce and quality.
Nice looking place; unfortunately, service and food are not up to part. There are 5 different Mexican places in the area that have way more better food and service
Saw this place while walking around in the morning. Had a 1pm appointment down the street, so patiently waited until they opened at noon. Arrived at the hostess stationat 12:01, they said they opened in a couple of minutes. 8 minutes later I asked when they opened, the hostess said 12, but they were in a "staff meeting" and that we couldn't be seated until they were done. Short on time we went next door and already had drinks by the time they started seating at 12:15. Treat your customers like you actually want them there.
Love the ambiance and the food is delicious. I love the setup. You order from a tablet at your own pace. As you pick something you like, you can immediately send it in to be made and continue looking through the menu. No need to wait for the waiters to come around to order. And the food comes out blazing fast. I recommend the elote preparado, corn on the cob with cheese and tasty seasoning...and the lobster tacos, too.
Over price, small portions. I had better tacos out of the food truck. The location is nice.
Decent food, most of the dishes are hit or miss- either really good or pretty bad. Ridiculously expensive/overpriced though.
So GOOD!! Atmosphere was amazing, food was great and service was the quick. However, a little on the pricey side. About $100 for my boyfriend and I; guac & chips appetizer, 2 “Tacos al Pastor” (comes w/ 2 corn tacos) Chocolate Bomb (which is
Great margaritas! And the music videos on the big screens are very... Interesting
This place is a trendy taco spot which sits atop the Brickell City Centre but don't let it fool ya. Just because it's trendy doesn't mean it's not authentic. I have been here several times. Their margaritas are strong. Their tacos tasty. One fun feature is being able to order from your table via a tablet. Three of us ate, two appetizers, three dishes, one dessert and 5 drinks for $127 tax and tip included. This place is definitely worth every penny plus the traffic to and from Miami Beach. Make sure you try their spicy salsa, which was pretty good. We had to get extra. A fun night out with full bellies makes it a win in my book!
Love this place. Highly recommend la Catrina drink. Staff is very friendly & attentive.
Tacos needed more flavor...but everything else including drinks was amazing
Overall a great experience would highly recommend it if I'm in the Brickell area Grate taco good service
Very modern and high quality of finishing, but the Staf in the parking area ... They talk to customers in a non-polite way especially the woman who talks to you when you need help and push the button in the cash machine for parking, This was on 14 July 2019 at 3 pm
I love this place, but today I was pretty disappointed because they charged extra for 2 more tortillas for my order of tacos. Don't get me wrong, the place is really good, food and atmosphere, but those kind of things are the ones that make me think that I should try a different place the next time I want tacos.
Awesome atmosphere, easy ordering system which makes your food arrive QUICKLY! Be careful ordering everything at once because you will receive everything at once. The food has a great flavour palette. Reasonable price for location. Will definitely go back.
Get the freshest tacos and guacamole in Miami here at Tacology. But what is up the 18% service charge?! I’ve never been to a restaurant before that charged it. Is that tip/gratuity? I asked our waiter if that is the top. He said no. That just helps pay for all the employees. So I asked him if we are supposed to tip on top of all the other costs. He said yes. This place also has two very large screens with music playing to the loud music playing over the speakers. This place lost two stars for atmosphere and price. Even without the service charge, two lamb barbacoa tacos are $10.50! However, it got a very well deserving three stars for freshness, deliciousness of food, cleanliness, and service.
This is the second time I have been here and I honestly LOVE it , yes it is not “authentic” but definitely worth trying . The scene is awesome and lots of options for cool photos . The experience is very futuristic as you order directly from a tablet which is awesome . If you get a chance to sit outside you get to people watch and just enjoy the vibe . Only reason there is only 4 stars is because service is so so .
Tasty food and FAST service. This is fancy Mexican and the prices reflect that. Hey, they have to pay Brickell rent!
Reasonable prices, great tacos, strong margaritas and awesome guac. The last place we visited on our vacation in Miami and probably one of the best places we've eaten at all week
It's ok and nice place to hang out. Nice concept but need to be more careful with how they clean. Found hair around the sauces and in one plate
Really poor service at the bar tonight- Sunday Aug. 4th. 10 staff behind the bar all talking to themselves and playing on their phones while ignoring all the patrons. Place needs stronger management. Won't be going back.
Usually sit at the bar w/mates to grab a quick bite while watching a game or two. The food and staff are always great. Food is fresh and authentic.
The food is okay and the atmosphere is nice. Staff are very rude and the prices are ridiculous!
We went with family during happy hour, it was extremely chaotic (I think that’s the point) and the ordering system took a few minutes to get the hang of (on iPads, but have to use your server during happy hour) but the al pastor tacos and the lingua were prepared perfectly and the margaritas were excellent. During happy hour we had a few of the classic margaritas and on another day a coconut one that I’m still attempting to recreate at home. It’s easy to rack up a big bill quickly, but was worth it. Always get the Guacamole.
The food is great, especially their moles. The ambience is great, especially when they have live music. Also, if you're a michelada fan you're in the right place. The only thing that sucks is the parking. You definitely have to do their valet and even that's a hassle. Other than that, I really like this restaurant.
Love it! Good food! Gr8 music! Excellent food and drinks.... Good service
Small portions, but were brought out fast and were delicious.. Was told it’d be a 55min wait and got sat way before.. Rich, our waiter was amazing, whatever suggestions he gives, take!! Expensive? Yes.. Authentic? Don’t think so... Worth trying at least once? Absolutely!
The place is really gorgeous. The staff was friendly and the food was fresh and tasty. They have an innovative-easy way of ordering the food through a tablet, which come really fast to your table. There are a plentiful amount of appetizers, tostadas, tacos, and ceviches to choose from, categorized by the type of protein you would like in them. You can definitely return here quite a few times and still have new dishes to try. The combination of flavors and textures is phenomenal! The shrimp tacos are a must try.
Good food. Sat at the bar had great service & conversation with bar tender.
The fish ceviche is good. The atmosphere is better than the food but the food was still good. On the top floor of the outdoor mall. Haven't tried their tacos.
love thw ambiance but not the food
Had dinner here last night. Great Saturday night vibe, it was alive, great music. Ended up paying $85 for 2: each had 4 small tacos and 1 michelada. I was still hungry when I left. What I didn’t like is that they tried to make us pay the tip twice: when we got the bill the tip was already included. When we received our credit card voucher it had an empty line with the words TIP for customers to pay a second time. I don’t like when things are not clear and I end up feeling that I was outsmarted . I think there is lack of integrity here. I am sure many customers fall for this and end up paying around 38% tip.
Yummy a little pricey. They add gratuity for 2people and theres actually not a real server. You order on a virtual menu. So I'm tipping you to bring me lemonade n check? What ever happened to customer service?
I was very happy to come here eat . Food was good but service was worst . Especially that bald guy I assume he is the manager . We sat there already very warm. When food came. ,even worse . Our clothes all got wet by sweat . We couldn’t enjoy our meal. We asked them to switch to better spot . Try refused to changed for us ,although they have a lot of spot available by the time . We will never return . that fat bald guy should be fired . He will ruin this restaurant .
Great food. Fast serving to the table when ordering from the tablet you are given. But a little bit pricey.
Good ambiance.. somewhat pricey
First time here and we will definitely be back. The food is real Mexican, not Mexican-America and it’s delicious. We really liked the ordering system because you can order when you want it and if you want more, just order it. Our server, Gabby, was really good as explaining how it works and she was a great server. And the flan for desert is the best I’ve ever had!
very nice place, and food was good!
Mexican food and service at this location is excellent. quick, helpful, and friendly service. i can see why they have so many good reviews.
Average food but service was great!
Was expecting a bit more for the price. Drinks were good, tacos we ordered we decent. Chilaquiles were soggy, changed for nachos they were just okay.
Short wait to be seated, top 40 hits being played, and very attentive. Food was freshly made when ordered. Mushroom and cheesy fish tacos were good. Portions small for the price.
After ONE hour wait, we were seated. The place is pretentious, expensive, lazy. One has to order on a dirty iPad, the place is hot and sweaty. Bad music, no salsa, and the staff isn't particularly friendly.
Delicious and authentic tacos served here! The price fits the local and service at the place so don't be surprised if you're paying $10 for just two tacos. The guacamole was really good, the ones with pomegranate has a sweet kick to it and by far was my favorite.Their margaritas were also delicious and a must try! The food presentation is also very thoughtful, they'll bring out a little personal bar of hot sauces and limes with a press.
There are good reviews online but no real explanation of whether this is traditional Mexican food or if it is a modern take on it. I checked in the front of the restaurant and there was no signing of the menu or prices, and before they sat me I asked if it was traditional style Mexican food. They replied yes and directed me to place my order on a tablet, and if you could believe it or not, a single taco ranges from $10 and up. The pricing is absolutely ridiculous and was not even worth giving a try considering the food did not look great either. This is definitely a restaurant that is only doing well because of its location and targeted consumer group. This is not for those seeking authentic Mexican food. The tables and chairs also look like random furniture at a garage sale, I don't think they achieved the aesthetic they're trying to go for. At least the service was friendly.
Amazing food, drinks, and atmosphere. The ordering system from the iPad menu is so efficient. The way they have different cooking stations setup makes your food and drinks come very quickly to the table. 10/10 experience
The world worst service. The food need everything. Do not recommend to anyone in their 50. Restaurant targets the young crowd.
Tapas are good. Food comes to table intermittently. Menu is on a tablet at the table which does not display the items all at once, so it is necessary to go back and forth to different screens. No ice in water. Coke bottles, especially diet coke are tiny. Four stars for the tapas.
Food was good but pricey! Nice place, you order from a tablet! They also added a convenience fee of 18% to my check! I asked one waiter "is this the tip?" "He stated no that's something completely different!" Forced tip!!! I'm from Texas, maybe it's a Florida thing?!?!
Good food. Liked the nachos & caramel flan. Liked ordering on the iPad. Wish there was a command to get the cheque too. Slightly expensive. Fun decor
Fun hip place for good Mexican food. Quality ingredients, get the steak tacos in the shot glasses. Manager Christian is one of the most stand up guys in the business will take time to make sure everyone enjoys what they ordered. For a high volume restaurant it is certainly small restaurant level of service and care. A must stop if you’re in City Center
Food was decent came out quickly. But the overall experience was awful! We were a party of six and we were given ONE iPad menu. So each person had to take their time to review and figure out how to order. This took so long just for drinks we asked for a regular menu, which we were told they did not have. So we asked for additional iPads they brought out two additional iPads which helped things, but still the process was time consuming and our group is comfortable with technology. I cannot imagine what this must be like for people who are not.
Honestly, terrible. This place used to be great. Now they’ve replaced waiters with iPads. Hostess plopped us at our table with nary an explanation of how to order (less charm and service than a taco bell.) Automatically add 18 % (for whom?!) When I tried to ask a manager for an explanation of the service charge, she explained that she worked for a different restaurant. Save your money, and go to Chipotle.
