REVIEWS OF T-Rex Cafe IN Florida

This is part of the Landry's chain, I didn't realize that until I arrived. Imagine rainforest cafe, but with dinosaurs. The building itself, you can tell they spent the time and money to make it look nice. The food itself was Landry's standard. For disney world area price it was in line. We got there early BEFORE the crowds, and our food still took forever to come out. The service was good and the "show" isn't bad.

Steven Sexton

We stopped here for our 2 year old and she had a blast! There are so many dinosaurs in the restaurant and she just loved looking at them and petting them. If you have young kids this is the perfect place for them. It is a bit overpriced as far as food goes but you are paying for the experience. The staff was all very friendly which was really nice. This was one of the highlights of our trip.

JD Odom

This is a really unique dinning experience if you have kiddos! First of all, be sure to make a reservation at least a couple days before you plan to attend. If you try to walk up and be seated during peak hours, expect to wait for at least an hour or more. Now, given that you have a reservation, this place is really cool. The dinosaurs come to life every 20 minutes or so. My family was seated in the ice cave and it was awesome! Understand, the food here is just mediocre; it is more about the atmosphere of the establishment. My wife's ribs and steak were pretty good but my Tonga pasta was not good at all. Kid fare is typical: nuggets, fries etc.. Our service was decent on the night we came. The highlight for us was the dessert: "The Chocolate Extinction"!

Excellent place for family fun - Service was great and food was Excellent!. I went to many high class restaurants when travelling and have to say the best meal was at this place. Price was just right - Highly recommend!

Came for New Years Eve... and it was packed! This place doesn’t get old, always a fun atmosphere. The food is good and the people are fun! Plenty of things to keep you busy while you wait. Great atmosphere for the whole family.. the kids will absolutely love it.

Matthew Kleinschmidt

Pretty disappointed with my family’s experience at the restaurant. My whole family was excited to go wait times close to two hours. Food had a ton of problems including they forgot my wife’s and I’s food so my whole family was eating before us and was almost done before we finally got ours. No one at the table was too crazy about the food, over cooked shrimp across the table. My brother found aluminum foil in his meal. His was the only one the restaurant took off the bill. If you are a bigger party and looking for a place to eat keep looking.

Aaron Von Rotz

Great decor. Absolutely atrocious service. 25 minutes till chips and queso arrived, and another 45 for the main course. Upon trying to order a 2nd round of overpriced cocktails, and wanting to see a desert menu... it was clear our business wasnt really wanted.

Johnnae Bridges

Food was not good. Very overpriced. You’re basically paying for the environment. Definitely not worth it.

Scott Goodman

Great atmosphere for the kids and food was very good! Great service by the wait staff, never let my tea glass go empty! A little advice, book reservation 24hrs in advance to avoid a long wait

Nicole LaRue

Our waitress was very friendly, attentive and extremely knowledgeable about Paleontology and phenomenal with our kids. The decor was exciting and we didn't have to worry about the kids talking or getting anxious. The food was excellent, only downfall was the hour wait, gave us time to walk around and explore. Well worth it! HUGE hit with the kids.

Michael Meinl

We visited on a weeknight and it was a fantastic choice. Although busy and crowded, this place is huge with multiple dining rooms and themes. We were pleasantly surprised that they accepted the Disney dining plan, which made this a stress free dinner. Our service was great. They were quick, attentive, and funny. The food was awesome. I read some of the other reviews saying the food is just okay. To me, this is a place for burgers and appetizers and desserts. Everything we had was delicious. Would love to go back.

Orlando Figueroa

By far worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. We had reservations.. still waited 45min. Got seated.. an hour and a half later, girl comes to our table to bring us chips and dip because we hadn't already waited long enough. It took us almost 2 hours to get our food. With a 2 year old and a 9 year old. I already hate these style restaurants as is for reasons like this. I'll never come back to this place again. 0/10

Talina del Ecuador. Has not visited her country for 20 years. Worked here for 5 years. What a sweetheart very bright personality and very professional at her job customer satisfaction and love her warm attitude too. Thank you Gustavo, for stopping at our table to check on our order. Thank you Talina for calling the chef at our table about order given. Thank, you Mr. Chef for the food advisory.

Michael Lodato

Service was horrible waitress ripped the menu out of my hand. Food took a long time everything on my plate was cold except a baby shrimp and bay scallop au gratin that somehow had raw shrimp. I know Orlando has many visitors but treat people better we come back often. Prices were rediculously high for mediocre food I can get kids dinosaur chicken nuggets from Publix and I don't burn them.

Tim Slater

Horrible experience all around. Took 20 minutes to get a server to our table. Took another 20 minutes for drinks. Appetizers got to table same time as drinks. Food took an hour and when it came out it looked horrible. Asked manager if he would eat it and said no, then offered to take 20% off our bill. Ridiculous. Don’t waste your time or money. Just walk your kids through it and eat somewhere else.

Darren Neal

The food is just ok. If you have been to the rainforest cafe or the aquarium restaurant you know what to expect food wise and price is wise. Where this place really impacts the overall experience is with the decor. You will be blown away by the decorations and and all the lights and sounds. If you have kids they will have a great time. Don’t expect too much food wise and honestly I would give less stars for the food alone but the atmosphere is the reason you come to this restaurant

Samantha Angela

The T-Rex Cafe was so cute! My mom and I went for dinner here and it reminded us of the Rainforest Cafe, but dinosaur/ice age theme instead. Our waiter was great, and our food was so delicious - we got the buffalo sandwich and salmon with side of shrimp dishes. Great atmosphere, attentive staff and good food!

Grant Lieberman

Went there today with my family of 5 and we were seated in 2 minutes! Server was very attentive and the one of the nicest I have ever had. Decor was awesome and still fascinated me as a 15 year old. Good was delicious and the grilled cheese was top notch. Will be back!

Joe Hundred

Family of four. Nice atmosphere but didn't make up for waiting 40 mins without food when we have young kids. The food at some quick serves is just as good so nothing special here. Cutlery was properly filthy, my kids lick theres cleaner at home

Edward Dacquel

It’s so refreshing to have a scrumptious dinner at TREX Disney Springs. Your server Michael A. greeted me with a friendly smile and started conversing with me, in friendly and professional manner. He even had the time to check up on me for drink refills, and asked politely how was my chicken dinner. This is by far the best customer service provided by Michael A. noticing how busy it was during dinner time. Thank you for everything you do, Magically!

Sonya McDowell

I loved it!! The food was great! Our server was Aicha She handled the 9 of us well. We had the ribs, the salmon, shrimp, burgers and chicken. No one had any complaints. The atmosphere was intriguing and cool. I'd send my friends . I give it a 4.5 because of the wait and the location of the bathroom. Tje wait though given the number of folks in the restaurant was to be expected and did not pit a damper on the experience.

Chris G

Yes, this place may be designed for tourists, but don't let that fool you. The food here is consistently good. My family and I have never had a bad meal here in all the years we have been coming to Walt Disney world. Everything is perfectly cooked and flavored wonderfully. the service is always consistent even though they turn tables very quickly. Our server tonight was Nicholas F., He was quick, kept checking on us, and did it all with a smile. Will definitely be back!

Nigel Webb

Went here for the experience and wasn't disappointed, food was great too, no complainrs

Took my son here for his birthday and it was a huge mistake. I had reservations at 2 by 3 we’re still waiting and until they straight up told us they skipped over us by “accident “. When you wait in the second line (it’s as dumb as it sounds) you wait to here your name over the huge crowds there. No intercom system no text system just standing in a super crowded area wait to hear your name get called... the manager was worthless and acted like she didn’t know how to handle the situation. All the other staff was just as lost... don’t waste your time... it’s nothing like they ad just an over priced build a bear store with a restaurant. And I went here on 3/16/2019.

Travis Oglesby

Atmosphere is amazing. My kids love dinosaurs and this was perfect. They have 4 different dining areas that are individually themed and interactive. They have a play area for kids while you wait, and shopping with a build a dino center as well. Service wasn't great (we were unable to get any refills the whole time) but the food was better than expected. Kids were entertained the whole time and they encourage you to look around while waiting for your food. The party app and dessert are the way to go if trying to save money and feed multiple people. Overall will be back.

Rebecca Seldon

Absolutely love this place. We didn’t book a table but got seated straight away in the ice cave area. Brilliantly decorated with dinosaurs, fossils icicles etc and the lighting changes colour adding to the theme. Every 20 mins the whole place experience a ‘meteor shower’ where the dinosaurs react. Our server was really friendly and helpful. The food was better than expected for the price, the Bronto Burger was huge. We got to keep our light up drinks cup which makes a great souvenir. There is also a huge shop to buy other souvenirs. Would definitely recommend this place.

Fran Baker

Excellent salad. Can always get a seat at the bar when no other restaurants have availability.

James Davenport

T-Rex Cafe is everything you think of when you envision tourist trap type restaurants. Expect to spend a truck load of cash. Don't bother going if you don't have a reservation. The wait times can be ridiculous. Israel was our server. He did a great job. The dining area lighting changes continuously throughout the course of your meal, and at times can be very dark. Big plus that they did have 3 separate stalls in the men's bathroom.

Robert Morris

Excellent place to eat at when visiting Disney theme parks. My kids loved the dinosaurs.

Michael Fitzgerald

We were hesitant to keep our reservation after our fiasco at the Rainforest Cafe the night prior due to being owned by the same company. We decided to give it a chance and were pleasantly surprised. The food was good and our waiter was awesome and attentive. The food came out quickly and our waiter was always right there before we even realized we needed him. Next time I'm in Disney springs I will definitely be stopping by again.

Joe Hupp

Great family restaurant especially if your kids love Dinosaurs. If you like the rain forest cafe you’ll like T-Rex Cafe. It’s pretty much the same concept but dinosaurs. There are different rooms in the restaurant that have different types of dinosaurs so make sure you check out all the different spots. I will say the food is better here than at the rainforest cafe. They also have a dinosaur, build-a-bear type station in the gift shop too which was pretty cool.

Joe Peters

If you want a cool experience while visiting Orlando / Disney Springs then you need to visit T-REX! There is plenty to see for all ages. The only downside is if you are sound sensitive you might want to bring a ear plugs as it does get a bit noisy when the animation comes to life. Also it is best to set reservations as walk up Waits can be as long as two and a half hours.

Shannon Ware

T-Rex cafe' was awesome! I was seated in the ice cave area and enjoyed my view of the restaurant and the dinosaurs. I absolutely loved the show when all of the dinosaurs started moving and making noise. My rotisserie chicken was really good, as were the mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies. The chocolate extinction dessert was delicious and worth the price. Our server was super nice and very fast, and the guy taking pictures was great as well.

Megan Peters

Our favorite place to use a Disney meal plan credit off site! The atmosphere is out of this world and food is great! It does get loud at times with the Dino’s but nothing that scared my 1 year old or 6 year old. Makes for great pictures and every table has a different view. Can’t wait to go again!

Amber Smiley

Loved the awesome atmosphere and the food and desserts were amazing!

DeBorah Camille

The atmosphere of this place is great fun. Our server Shannon was the best! She was so generous and helpful.

Nicholas Schoenfelder

The perfect burgers, they make it the way you want it. I'm pretty sure if you asked for it mooing they would get you as close as legally possible. Juicy, timely, good portions, great drinks, and not too hard on the pocket book considering it's at Disney Springs.

Marcos Chavarria Ch

Definitively a place I would come back next visit in Disney Springs. My family enjoyed the meal sand the service is great. The dinosaur ambient is well done and set. You can enjoy a good dinner here but is the highly recommended to make a reservation with few weeks or days in advance so you do not wait to long for a table.

craig kelly

Atmosphere and service was great, food was not good at all. If you go here get an appitizer and enjoy the atmosphere.

Brenda Liz Cruz Rodríguez

The best dining experience with Dinosaurs! Your kids will love eating besides huge dinosaurs and a meteorite spectacle every 20 minutes.

Rory Duckworth

Atmosphere and food are really good. Our server was also nice and fast. My only complaint would be the hostess were short and not very nice and the waits can be long. If you have kids you can’t go wrong with this place.

KKruegerr

The food sucks, only good thing was the steak and fries. It’s very overpriced. Atmosphere is really cool tho. Service is pretty bad also takes forever to get drinks, food and the bill

Service was great and so was the food. We had a party of 11 (6 of which were kids) so we went around 4 to eat early. We waited only 10 minutes and we were seated. Our waitress was amazing, all of our orders were correct and the food was really good. Go here before the rainforest Cafe.

By far the worst food I've ever had. The only reason. They get a 1 star is because the kids liked the theme. Had the chicken fried chicken and It was high blood pressure on a plate the chicken was so salty it was unbearable. The baked chicken had no flavor at all. The cornbread could have broken a tooth and the drinks had more ice and juice than actual alcohol. The service was just as bad as the food. The kids got their food first which is fine but the adults waited another 35 minutes for their food. By the time we received our food the kids were all sleeping at the table. DONT GO HERE... spent almost 300 dollars on bad food and bad service .

Good food and good atmosphere. Great for the kids! The only downside is I felt very rushed while eating.

Went in April. It was a great experience. The kids enjoyed it. My little one was entertained throughout just looking at all the dinosaurs. There is a light and animation show that comes on, I wanna say once an hr. It was awesome and the kids loved it. They came around with the camera and took family pics of us which was a nice touch. I think the price for the pics was very reasonable. The food was pretty expensive. We spent well over $200 for a family of 6, with 4 of which were children ordering from the kids menu. My son forgot his dinosaur cup which we paid for and which was pretty expensive. We didn’t realize it until we were back at the hotel. We called and they were pretty accommodating. They told us to go back the following day and give him a new one. Unfortunately our trip was pretty booked and we were unable to make it back. I still thought it was nice of them to offer to give him a new one!

Brenda K Sanchez

Went here for two birthdays. One when I turned 14, it was a magical family time. My drink and birthday deserts had smoke and it looked soooo cool in pictures and videos. I loved it so much I went again with family for my 15th birthday, this time my drink just light up. It was fun. The only negative thing is the wait but they are very organized, and will let you know for sure when you’re next in line.

Justin Stone

Jurassic Park meets Outback Steak House. The complaints about price are inaccurate compared to a comparable steakhouse in any large city. The food and service is to the Disney Standard (very high). Come here for kids. Animatronics on the dinosaurs and lots of exploring with the attractions inside the restaurant. Do not come here for a quiet dinning experience, as there is a volcanic eruption ever 20 minutes +- and that can get quite loud. My kids loved exploring and didn’t want to leave.

Andrew Robinson

Love this place!!! Extremely friendly and amazing service. Nice atmosphere and food was timely and great.

Jonathon Lorek

Very cool atmosphere and decor but, probably one of the worst drink and food experiences here. This is my burger remake after I sent it back and the mixed drinks taste like all simple syrup with zero alcohol. I’ll hit bbq or Irish pub from now on. 3-18 Case in point, you should be able to take my feedback directly. Instead, you’re asking me to take an additional step and relay my experience through your website. *Sigh* :(

Thaissa Tidie Itchon

I have loved the atmosphere of the T-Rex Cafe ever since the first time I experienced it. The dinosaurs, steam, lava eruption simulation, deep sea atmosphere set in the bar and the meteor shower simulation are spectacular and entertaining. But I am giving our dining and service experience 5 stars as well. In the first place, the phone staff were professional, polite, cheerful, and easy to talk to. We were walk-ins and even though it was 8:45 on a booked summer Friday night, we were seated in 5 minutes. Wow! Our server was funny and joked around which was refreshing, and he helped us with our menu selections. He gave us his opinion and we enjoyed our choices. But my meal was something that I will never forget. Someone had recommended the Dino Nuggets and said they were their favorite- this person was not 3, but 26. When I checked the regular menu, they weren't there. Our server showed them to us on the children's menu. But I ordered the roast chicken. I am a positive person but I am honest when I tell you that this chicken breast was tender, arommatically seasoned with thyme and garlic, and was the most delicious chicken dish I have tasted since I had the good fortune of having a similar dish home cooked by my Grandma. The gravy could be considered a delicate sauce with true chicken flavor, butter, and rosemary. These days, we do not have food that is as flavorful as 30 years ago. But this brought back golden memories. I am only relaying my experience. I would love to thank the chefs and whomever else deserves recognition for this dish. Kudos to you and to all who make T-Rex Cafe this good!

Jahan S

reservation was canceled due to a power outage... literally every light in the damn building was on...and they still charged my a $20 cancellation fee! i love dinosaurs.

Frances Lutz

Outstanding location for delicious Family Meals. i love this place so much. certainly worth a return visit. the bill was average for the menu.

Maureen Aguilar

Why would you change the Samplesaurus appetizer?! It realllly sucks

Pho Dro

Overall very nice and busy place. They give you time to come back (1.5h later), then you wait another 10 minutes or so to get sitted. Rooms are very impressively decorated with sounds and light effects. Shannon was very helpful. Sampler was very good, as was rotisserie chicken and pizzas.

Brittany Collins

This was my second time visiting in 6 months. Wait time seems to be 30+ even as a Landrys Select Club member. I have a child who does have some sensory issues. The room the turns red and blue triggers this. Asking for a table outside of this area is an even longer wait. The atmosphere over all is lovely. We definitely have came here more for the atmosphere than the food. While leaving we noticed in the very far back of the dinning area there did seem to be a broken Dinosaur, when my daughter mentioned it to the staff the gentleman just seemed rather annoyed. Next trip we will just do two meals at Rain Forest Cafe and skip T. Rex.

Jake VanMeter

On my first time here the meatloaf was terribly hard and inedible. However the atmosphere is cool so we went back yesterday, 2 years later from first visit. Mid meal, someone came over with a camera and asked to take a photo for a complementary post card they were offering today. After the first photo, the woman proceeded to have my kids pose for photos. The “complementary photo” was small, and had branding around it. The other photos were large, in frames, and available for a fee. I do not like these sleazy sales tactics and don’t expect them at a $200 dinner. It caused tension between my wife and I as I refused to purchase any of the photos. Awesome way to ruin a dinner with my family T-Rex staff. Won’t be back a third time. Be upfront with people about what you’re offering, it’s the right thing to do.

MusicMan Reviewer

We have been here a few time over the years. My family really enjoy it. I love the meteor shower every 15 minutes.

Phillip West

Great place if you've never been expect to wait an hour or so at dinner

Ryan

So over priced, even for Disney. Price aside my chicken was so overcooked I could barely eat it. I lost my voice talking because it was so loud in there. It’s a great place to take the kids, but other than that there is nothing to write home about.

Joe Paonessa

My daughter had an amazing birthday here. Great food and the staff was amazing

Catherine Tally Perkins

I really wanted to come here. I had reservation for months. It was so packed you couldnt move. I could hear everything said by everyone except for my guests. So I thought maybe the food would redeem the place. The food was horrible. I am talking bad. Over 100 for something I would not give my dog, Bella Lugossi. So disappointed. I couldnt even get pics of the atmosphere because of how busy it was. We should have went to McDonald's.

Andrew Senft

Great place for the kids and food was actually very good! Steak was amazing and cooked perfectly. Good value for the money.

Paul Boisjoli

Service was good. Food was fine. Lasagna had too much cottage cheese. Portions were smaller. My 11 yr old loved it so great for kids.

Pedro Loperena

As always T Rex Cafe is awesome in every way. Liz our server did an excellent job and everyone else met our expectations as well. This is a great place to come and enjoy good food.

Norman Dobson

Waited over an hour for an $18 burger that fell apart and tasted horrible. Could’ve gotten a burger twice as good front Red Robin for half the price. Also good luck hearing the person across from you as I couldn’t even hear myself think. Would not go back.

Jorge Zama

This is a very unique experience if you have kids. Food is great, excellent service and stuff is top notch and extremely into making sure you and your family has a great time here. Highly recommended

Alex Parziale

Phenomenal place for kids and family. The decor is unbelievable and you feel like you're back in time a few million years. Service was good, food was good, only 30 min wait vs 2 hour wait at Rainforest Cafe. My kid was on WOW overload due to all the cool stuff.

Brett Craig

Great place to take the family. Of course there is usually a wait but they will give you a return time which gives you a little while to look around. Not fast food. Worth the wait though. Good atmosphere and friendly, but busy staff. Food was good. The drinks are what you would expect. Good place for small kids.

J D

Always a fun experience here, especially when you have kids with you.

Alex Drake

Great time, service and food was great and very cool atmosphere!

Ashley D

This is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to! It's very thematic and entertaining, the service is really good and the food was amazing!

Justin Lamboo

Was good food came out late from our kids was a little cold .

Rebekah Huggins

A great experience for our Dino-loving 10 year old. We had late night reservations and enjoyed the appetizer sampler and chocolate extinction dessert. The portions were large, especially the dessert. The decor was fun, and we enjoyed the moving animals and light/sound effects.

Josh Jordan

Meteor Shower is awesome! My 2 and 4 year olds thought it was amazing. The ice room is spectacular and would be my suggested seating area, but the whole place is filled with things to see and keep your kids entertained. Food is good with big portion sizes and a great price (especially for a Disney resort area). I would give a sixth star if I could.

Vivien McDaniel

Great family atmosphere, great service, great food! Just extremely packed! Make sure to make reservations, even with reservations we waited 45 mins..

Ryan Lail

Good food and good atmosphere. Great for the kids! The only downside is I felt very rushed while eating.

Travis Lovins

Food was decent. Kids will love the theming. However, it can be a little distracting. Just like a Rainforest Cafe, but with dinosaurs.

Zoe Cal

Don't compare this to Rainforest Cafe. They are similar but there is a big difference in the attitude of the staff, specifically for people needing to speak to the chef about dietary restrictions.

Ryan

Jason Folster

This place is awful. Deserves no stars. Reservation at 6pm, had to wait 20 minutes. Drinks are a complete ripoff. If you don’t pay for souvenir cup you can only get the small. And they make that clear, as in “oh well if you don’t want the light up cup you can only get a small”. And they don’t list the price! Food over priced. Service lacking. Their animatronic dinosaurs were cool a decade ago, now they are just sad like this place.

Brett Craig

The service was fine and I wasn’t expecting the world when it came to the food itself. However the French onion soup was inedible , the taste of the bun on the burger was as plain as sand, but at least the bruschetta was good. Price was a bit high and not worth the food. 1 star for service and 1 for the show. 0 for the rest

Javier Pacheco

Good food and generous portions. Service is quick and we got seated right away. Our order came as expected and staff is friendly. The place theme is attractive for families with young children. The menu has many options, my favourite was the rotisserie chicken.

C C

Another one of those cool looking restaurants with poor food. The environment is really fun and they did a great job with Decor but there food could use some love. Better then rainforest but not much. Another location to definitely walk through and check out there decor.

Marcus Sainter

Having booked had to wait 45 min to be seated, despite arriving 10 min ahead of our booked time. To make matters worse a walk in that arrived after us was seated ahead of us. Same party size. Never again. Awful place.

z s

This place is so cool! The food was very good and the service was great. The only reason I'm not give 5 stars is because my son didn't like it.but he's hard to impress so I wouldn't take it personally.

James Kruse

Came here with my friends to celebrate one's birthday. Disappointed by the lack of information regarding calories of meals. Our waiter made a mistake and thought I didn't want to order without even confirming. The meal I ordered, Herbivore Burger with fries, was decently cooked at least, and things went smoothly afterwards. P.S. Tip is an automatic 18%

Earl Lane

Great high-quality food. Excellent service. Will come again next time I am in Florida.

Ashley Meehan

The only reason why I am giving 3 stars is because the food tasted great and the scenery is cool BUT the service is terrible (very slow) very inattentive & the food is highly overpriced. I honestly would not recommend this Restaraunt unless a family has time on their vacation to just sit for a long time and wait.

Trevor Thomas

The place has a neat atmosphere. Cool stuff to entertain the kids. That said, food is terrible. I can't emphasize this enough. Also, service is extremely slow. Waited at table for 20 minutes for a server. Everytime we needed a refill or another drink, it took at least 20 minutes to get. Definitely would not recommend.

AshleyLynn McDaniel

We have made this a family tradition. Love the food. We have had everything from burgers to steaks, shrimp and salads. Love the people. Ever waitress or waiter we have had has been so comical and animated. As for the dining experiance, The atmosphere is fun. We love sitting in the difference time periods. It takes you back. ;)

chris Jones

We come here every year cause our boys love dinosaurs, especially our 7 year old. Food is always good, plenty to choose from. But the atmosphere never gets old, our kids just love it here! This visit we had a great staffer named Kristen take time with our boys teaching them about dinosaurs and personally engaging them, this just made our visit this year so special! Thank you Kristen and thank you T-Rex and staff

Black Rose of Shadows

If you're looking for good food at reasonable prices, then this is not the place for you. The prices are too high here and it's not even quality food. The salad we had was very bland and if it wasn't for the chicken (which was subpar on its own) it would have no taste, what so ever and they have the nerve to charge $20 for it. Added to the fact that the wait staff was so slow, it was a terrible experience. There are much better establishments to give your hard-earned money to. The only reason I'm giving it two stars is because their decor is well done.

Chelsea Wasdin

Only giving one star because the atmosphere is really cool. On the other hand ordered 3 adult beverages and couldn't taste a spot of liquor for the price of the drinks you definitely should. Food, ordered the queso which came out barely warm and the chips were stale. Husband liked his meal, but I had to send my steak back due to it being severely undercooked.. could barely get the bartenders attention because they were so focused on getting out and we were there well before closing time.

Becky Larsen

So I ordered the Triassic Trio with steak, shrimp, and scallop

Carlos Guzman

Waited about an hour but got sitted quickly at call time. The atmosphere is great, the food is good but our server Dan was the best. Made us feel welcome, entertained and excelled in service.

Ronald Ricks Jr.

This was a great place for the kids to have fun but the food was a bit disappointing. It’s priced high but that’s expected when you are in the Disney area. The best thing we had was the buffalo sandwich. The BBQ sandwich was over smoked. Do yourself a favor and pass on the nachos appetizer. The restaurant decor was awesome for my kids but that only lasted for a while. I would pass on going here more than once solely based on the actual food taste and quality and what you get for your money.

Donnie Craft

Not the best experience. We had made reservations six months ago, they couldn't seat our party together. 20 people for a birthday dinner, seated on opposite ends of the dining room, yay. My own food did not arrive until most of my table had finished their plates. The "reason" I was given was that my steak wasn't up to temp. Our server said he saw red in my steak, which is impossible unless he cut into it. He didn't, they just missed it. When my food did arrive, my steak was way overcooked ( it was well done, I ordered medium). When we spoke to the manager, she reprimanded my wife for having too many complaints at once. We come to Disney every couple of years. We will never visit T-Rex again. So disappointed with the service. In full disclosure, the food did taste really good and the atmosphere is enjoyable.

Cody Weikel

Very cool place to have dinner! Wait time was only about 10 minutes to get seated. The menu isn't very big, but this is a very busy place. The dining room is broken up into several themed rooms with different dinosaur. Our server was friendly and shared fun facts about the dinos. Our food was good. Everyone ate most of the food. The shrimp was cold and chewy, but the rice was very good. Meatloaf is a large portion. Good chicken.

Tiffanie Artigas

Really awesome restaurant experience for adults and kids. Anamatronic dinosaurs come to life. The ceiling changes colors and asteroids fly over heard. It's very crowded of course, because it's Disney so expect a wait. Everyone in my party of 6 enjoyed thier food.

Ali Zeidan

We started off with a bad experience with the wait time (45 minutes) after being told that we'd be seated almost immediately. The manager said that they believed they called our name and we missed it, however, we were right there and listening for it. Needless to say, we were quite upset, but the manager and wait staff made an effort to make up for the confusion. We could tell that they were trying to move expeditiously and even offered us a free appetizer. At the end of the meal another manager came by and spoke with us for a while to make sure that they'd improved our experience, which they did. Perhaps next time we can make this a perfect experience for the family.

Rachael Caldwell

I get it - you go for the atmosphere... but man were we disappointed by the food. It was overpriced cafeteria food. Even calling it cafeteria food is a compliment. The food came on a tray even. Just was not what I expected for over $100 and 4 people to eat.

William Swinson

Take the kids they will love it ... food is not what this place is all about ... lots of adults around us don’t seem impressed with the menu selection, but kids are having a blast... luv the suggestion that a “15% gratuity is customary” ... so ... not if the service is average and the food way overpriced...sorry ... this is not fine dining. Kids love it though...

Alvin Nunez

Did not eat here but went to the store inside. They have great toys for anyone who loves dinosaurs and a build your own dinosaur stuffed animal section as well.

Anderson Benton

5-28-19 - Great place for kids before, during, and after. Price for the meal may include ambience, but something on the menu for you. Because of its location in the shopping area near the Lego and Disney stores, there might be a line and wait when you go. After your meal if up to it, the kids can play in excavation and fossil discovery area outside, where they can and dry their hands once done.

Bruce Moore

It is a fun place to eat. A bit pricey. For my wife, grandson and myself the bill was around $125 including tip. Depends on what all you get. I tried the Buffalo Chicken sandwich and had a glass of the Funky Budda beer. My food was good, but I guess you are paying more for the experience. This is our second time eating here. The service is great, but it is always crowded. I'd eat here again as long as I have my grandkids with me. They love it.

Elly Evans

So disappointed we came for my sons birthday he loves dinosaurs and we got stuck in a corner with the jellyfish.

John Tedesco

Decent spot, themed well. Bit of a long line. Foods pretty good for a themed joint.

millis looney

Food is not good. We shared the nachos and chicken sandwich between 2 people. Finished the nachos and threw out half the chicken sandwich because it wasnt good at all. Service is fair. Had to ask for napkins and utensils after food came. Only thing this restaurant has going for it is the dinosaurs.

Chris Lyles

This was a fun place to take the family. We went right when it opened and had no wait, but I can see it having a long wait later in the day. The restaurant has large animatronic dinosaurs that move and each of the dining rooms is themed differently. The food was good and our waiter was attentive, it did take a little longer to get our food, but the bigger kids were enjoying the place, so no big deal. We also had a large party which may have affected it.

Shelly Hoffman

Heather was our waitress. She was amazing! Food was fabulous, more then we could eat. Beautiful restaurant! A must stop place when in Orlando.

Brian Niemeyer

Rafael was excellent, food, service, presentation was all great. Cool place to take the kids on vacation.

Ashlyn Templeton

Got seated right away with our reservation but once we ordered, we waited over an hour for food. Food was bland and what I would describe as "just okay". Alcoholic beverage are very watered down and don't taste very good. Water also tastes off. Stick to soda here. We then waited a good 15 minutes after we were all done eating our meals before we saw the waitress again. Dessert came out fast and was delicious. As for the atmosohere: the kids loved it. It is a lot of noise and lights, which I did not like. If you are at all sensitive to noises or flashing lights, do not dine here.

Angelina Lam

Amazing!!! Customer service is noticeably outstanding. Food is great and good atmosphere. They are able to accommodate our seats even though we have no reservation. If it’s your birthday, people will celebrate and make a big deal out of it. Experienced that at the table next to us. Oh, and how about a note handwriting “thank you”? Thanks Aubril, we will come back to see you again

Angela Mitchell

My 4 kids always wanna eat here. Price is high but you usually get a good amount of food. Late lunch is the best time to eat. If you go during dinner its extremely full and wait time is crazy.

Emilio Garcia

Good food. Cool atmosphere. A little pricey, but in line with rest of Disney restaurants. Grilled cheese panini and tomato soup was delicious and good portion size.

Casey Coassin

We sat at the bar for a Sunday Funday on the last day of our vacation and it did not disappoint. The bartender (I believe his name was Dennis it was around 12pm Sunday 09/22) was awesome!!! He was the single reason we will be coming back the food was pretty generic but the cocktails were good made even better by the bartenders hospitality.

Marcus Sainter

Freezing cold and waited for our food for more than an hour after we were seated. 2 hours reservation to paid. Turns out the difference between a large and small beer is a spendy take home glass. Felt deceptive. The food was plated well, tasted good, and an interesting atmosphere. Altogether a mixed bag for lunch. Wait staff was friendly also.

Yahaira Rodriguez

Best avocado burger in the world and the shark water is also good.

Ashley S.

A unique dining experience. Reservation recommended as it can get busy at peak hours.

Soumyajit Roy

Food is great. Bit overpriced but you have to pay for the ambience. I had one of the best Rotisserie Chicken till date. Waitress are attentive and friendly. This place can be really busy and longer waiting time during weekend peak hours and holiday season. Ask for a table next to the aquarium. Its fun to watch fishes while dining.

John Tran

Unique dining atmosphere, delicious dishes. Staff are super friendly.

James Goerke

Good place for kids. Definitely take some time to look through each of the rooms. They did a good job with the themeing.

Stephen Schmitt

T-Rex knows its demographic and serves them well. The dinosaurs are done well and the regular shows are fun. My daughter is a fan of dinosaurs and loved sitting next to some of her favorites. The service was great. Our server was attentive and friendly. Overall, the food was very good but still on the expensive side. Obviously they aren't charging admission to the restaurant so you pay for the ambiance somewhere.

Amy Mercado

This restaurant is awesome! The food is pricey but it is delicious quality food and let's face it, everything at Disney Springs is pricey. The atmosphere is animated dinosaur themed. There is also a meteor shower show in the middle seating section. Great kids menu too. You will not be disappointed.

Jason Satterly

It is pricy, but the food is delicious and the portions are large. The dino theme is awesome and the meteor shower every 15 minutes excites the children... And adults.

Marcos Antonio Roque Paneque

Good place but the price for the food is very high is very expenses is you came to Orlando for enjoy the parks don’t came to this place if you don want lost your money another restaurants in the place is more better for save your money. The wait time for eat is over 1 and haf hour?????The food is very good!!!

Basil Puglisi

Wonderful service, great American Cuisine and fun for the kids and adults... especially the beverages. The food is as fair a price as you will find anywhere in the Disney area for themed dining. The side portions are smaller then you might expect but the meal is very filling and ample. The trio options are great and the adult drinks with the souvenir cups give you a receipt to get new glasses when you leave all boxed up to go! Kids birthdays have the walk out by the staff as they sing for you and if you jave to wait there is a play area outside for the kids to explore and play while you wait.

Maria Van Der Westhuizen

Please visit this restaurant while your kids are still small enough to appreciate just how amazing it is. Grownups obviously enjoy the experience regardless of age, I just remember when my kids were really young they seemed to live themselves into every moment of the restaurants come to life, themed experience. This restaurant is magical, the service and the food is always great.

Jess Colopy

I know people say T-Rex is for kids, and that the food is mediocre, but our group of adults enjoyed it. It's no grand dining experience, and the food isn't really worth the cost, but it tasted good and overall you're paying for the experience. I made a reservation for my 20th birthday and they even brought out a little (very dry, but thoughtful) cupcake for me. My one complaint was that I felt like since we were a group of adults, they sat us in a corner by the bar where there were no dinosaur animatronics or theming pieces around, which kind of sucked. We payed to experience it, too, and it felt like we got shoved aside from the theming.

RCR37 .

The fried chicken is not what you’d expect. They were boneless cutlets, very spicy, and heavy. My stomach was full after eating just one and I usually love fried chicken but wouldn’t order this one again.

Jay Roman

We went here for the first time the other night for dinner. This place is affiliated with Rainforest Cafe. The food here was excellent, but the portions were a little smaller than I though. Also, a little pricey for the amount they give you. However, the atmosphere is awesome and the kids loved it. Service was good, but not excellent. Defenitly worth a try though

robert bachmann

Waited over three hours for a table. I understood it would be a long wait because our party was big but when we were finally seated they put us at two different tables anyway! Every fork on our table had little chunks of food on them. Food was okay and the table water taste like it was scooped out of my backyard pool. Our server, Andrew, was the only positive part of our experience. I'll never come again.

Emily Spillane

Food is decent, but overpriced. You will be waiting for a very long time if you don’t make a reservation ahead of time. Service is good and friendly, but the place is always crowded. There is no signal inside the building. Atmosphere is really cool with the lighting and animatronics.

Gat Ontrax

You come here more for an experience and less for the food. The environment is really cool. We got sat in the ice cave after 45 minutes of wait time. It's a little challenging to read the menu in the blue lighting. Every 15 minutes there's a meteor shower where all the animals start moving and thunder rumbles. It's cool. There's also a dinosaur build a bear inside. Our server was attentive, quick, and helpful. The food was underwhelming and expensive but portions were plenty and I went home full. Really it's Disney so everywhere is expensive. Not sure I would choose here again due to all of the choices available, but I'm glad we went as I enjoyed the experience. Give it a shot if your going out to dinner.

Just CHILL

Bad food. All frozen. Bad service. Water taste like dish water.

Tabitha Judson

We had the BEST time here!!! We spent 3 hours just enjoying the amazing atmosphere! My son LOVES dinosaurs so we built a dino and then dug for fossils! Great gift shop! The food was good and the server was awesome! I can’t wait to go back...

T. McMullen

really great place for big families with kids. I got the steak with shrimp (kabob). the shrimp was okay but the steak was great. the kids seemed to enjoy their meals (sliders, pizza, mac n cheese) as well. the kids also loved the atmosphere with the dinosaurs .

Susan G

Came with my family and my four month old LOVED it. He smiled the entire time and our server was bomb. Wish I had gotten her name. Will definitely be returning soon.

Alonzo Brown

This is a beautiful restaurant with tons of things to entertain the kids and parents as well. I was very happy until we ended up waiting a hour and ten minutes for our food to come out and only after asking for a manager. After paying 25.00 for a meal that was exactly the same as a meal we could of got from Boston market for 8.00 and receiving that type of service we left feeling very dissatisfied!!

Tina Affum

Awesome place! Come hungry

Curt Johnson

Waited 50 minutes to eat which is fine and expected but after we arrived we found out the resort employee who set up the pin on our dining plan made a mistake and we couldnt eat. We were informed we had to forfeit our table and go to guest services to fix it. We expected Disney to recognize their error and at least allow us to bypass the wait time so we could finally eat. However no attempts to rectify the situation were made and we were informed the new wait time would be almost 2 hours. Really expected more from Disney given past experiences with them.

Matt Collins

DON'T SKIP THIS PLACE!!! It's so fun to eat here, food is great, but the atmosphere is just AMAZING. Kids and Adults will love it. Just puts a smile on your face. Staff is super friendly, all the food is delicious, and who doesn't like to eat with dinosaurs??? We scheduled our reservation months in advance, yet we still waited half an hour to be seated. The nine dollar kids items looked like they came off the buffet line at CiCi's pizza (the spaghetti comprised of the same spiral noodles used for the mac and cheese). Our food came out at least fifteen minutes after the kids got theirs, they were finished eating and ready to go by the time we could eat. Our server wasn't bad but she was rarely seen. The atmosphere was crowded, loud and chaotic, to the point that the meteor shower that happened every fifteen minutes was hardly noticable.

Barbette Kirk

We were there on 6/6. It was the worst food experience! My food was cold, not lukewarm. Cold! They said they would fix it. My family ate and were done by the time my food came 25 minutes later. I emailed T-rex home office about the situation. Heard nothing from them. It is not a place I would recommend. There are other great restaurants in the area.

Bobby Isakson

Great spot, even when adulting. GF and I had a wonderful time

Lynn Gualazzi

Excellent! Decorated with life like moving dinosaurs and so much more, may be little scary for very young children as every 20 minutes gets dark for a cool meteor shower. Our waiter Sam was awesome, the best we've had all week, on point all the way around. Best burgers, steak and do not miss the chocolate dessert for 4, we loved it!

Ralph Bishop Jr

Absolutely loved this restaurant, my 2 boys are way to young for Disney land right now but this was the next best thing. Disney Springs has a vast variety of restaurants but this by far is the best place to take your kids to. Every half hour there is a meteor shower with full sound effects and lighting effects. We try to go to TREX cafe when we go to Orlando. The atmosphere is exciting

Gabriela Zambrano

You guys MUST try this delicious dessert! Everything here is worth to visit

VeePhoenix

Amazing experience! The food and drinks were delicious, and the kids loved the dino souvenir cups! The adults also get to keep the cups which is beyond awesome! We loved everything about this place, we will definitely visit again.

Zita Kopfer

Love this place, we needed to wait about 45 min but the service was great and the food good, price good

Seth Ballard

Always a great atmosphere and the service is top notch. Perfect for a family outing.

We always pass by this place and I always thought it was the typical tourist trap. Was I wrong. We came early at 5pm and was seated immediately. A little pricey but food was good and the kids loved the dinosaurs everywhere. Mixed drinks are very good also.

Arrived without reservations on a Friday night with the family and waited less than 30 mins to be seated. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection. (NY Strip Steak, Mega Burger, and Grilled cheese) My children loved the GIANT Pretzel as our appetizer! The staff were all fantastic and the atmosphere is 2nd to none! Highly recommended to anyone! A+

Probably the best food I have ever tasted. Steak cooked absolutely perfect and just melted in your mouth and the drinks were amazing, the atmosphere was awesome and the realistic dinosaurs moving around was super cool, my little one loved it. Pricey but well worth it. Also a pretend meteor shower every 15 minutes. Staff was great too.

Michaela Burns

We ordered ribs, a burger and dessert. The ribs were decent, the burger was dry, the dessert was great (but sweets are hard to mess up) You’re definitely paying for the experience here and not the food. So if you’re looking to have some family friendly fun, this is your place. If you’re looking for good food, I’d suggest going elsewhere. **warning** If you are uncomfortable with loud noises or having to yell at your meal mate, you’re not going to have a good time

Kiralyn Foss

A fun restaurant to go to. Service was wonderful, our waitress Lily was so helpful and attentive. Granted, without the Disney Dining Plan it would have been a $100 tab for two people, but the drinks were great, food was flavorful, and it was such a great visit. We sat by the aquarium, and while we initially visited to see the dinosaurs all around, we were fascinated watching the fish the entire meal

Rachel Holmer
