I don't see how this place has bad reviews. The food was great almost like back home. It tastes like someone's grandmother was in the back cooking Service was A+. It was cheap too for three people it only cost us $54.00. We paid more at ihop earlier in the week. Next time we are back in Orlando we will be back. A++

Suck! Slow salsa dancing only on Saturday night, all night and dance floor empty because most people do not know how to dance salsa. Music extremely loud for the space and can't hear the people at the table talking it all. It is a shame because with a good selection of Salsa, merengue and bachata at a decent volume the place will be so nice.

Stopped by to pick up my order the server that helped me was nice but that was after standing in front of another girl on the phone that didnt even acknowledge me for over 5 minutes. This wasnt the first time I've ordered from here the quality has slowly gotten worse. It felt like they had the a/c turned off it was extremely stuffy and hot inside and when I got home the food did not taste fresh at all. My brother almost threw up when he tried the meat. It tasted spoiled. Very disappointing.

I love coming here for breakfast! It is a Colombian restaurant. From Colombian breads, empanadas, pancakes, eggs, potatoes, chicken/beef, arepas, rice, beans, plantains, fruit & more. From 7am to noon for $8.99. Oh, and it's buffet breakfast too! Great price, food and service! :)

My experience at Sonero’s was a disaster. I have driven by the place many times and never really had an interest in dining there, however I did find a groupon for the restaurant and thought “hey, why not!” When we are greeted I immediately let the hostess know that I am using a groupon , we sit down order our drinks and we are ordering I let the server know that we are using a coupon and ask how it is used. The server just says “get whatever you want from the menu and the amount of your groupon will deducted from the total prices”. We order up to the value of the groupon and everything is fine. It was a Sunday night about 7pm the restaurant was completely empty and it took about 1 hr to get our food, we ordered appetizers which came out at the same time as the dinner did. The food was not bad, but the service was horrible! The server did not want bring us refills it seemed as if we bothered him though there was no one else at the restaurant to serve. They asked if we wanted the check and they brought it over , I gave them the groupon and it took 40 minutes for them to call back and say that they could not honor the groupon that the server was new and didn’t know that we had to order 4 separate plates. We asked to speak with the manager and there was no manager on duty however they sent a different server over who claimed to be the manager, which we later found out was just another server. They told us we would have to pay the cost of the bill , which was very upsetting and they said they couldn’t do anything about it, the second server said she would call the boss and never came back to the table, she just had our server collect the money from us. Very frustrating experience, no costumer service skill whatsoever, the employees had no interest in helping us at all or could care less if we went back to the restaurant. We paid and left very disappointed.

This place may be good in the evening but Sunday late morning this was the worse. The floors were dirty, service was unattentive, no ladies room available as it was flooded. The bathroom doors don't lock so using the mensm room was out of the question unless you had someone with yiu to guard the door outside. The food didn't look fresh and although the eggs didn't look burned it tasted burnt. The coffee tasted like water even with milk. When we asked for the manager on duty we were told there was none. The pastries had a hair inside. My family and friends that weew with me to celebrate Mother's day ultimately walked out in disgust.

The only reason I am giving it ⭐️ Is this that five of us went to eat last night and the Food was good and the server seem pleasant but at the end since we were so tired from our long flight we did not realize that they had inflated the bill by over $19.00 . The order was Grill steak 1 $10.95 and 2 steak and Onions 11.95 and Grill Chicken 10.95 and BreadedPorkchop 10.95 and order of empanadas 5.00 and five cans of sodas . This morning when I got up to do my expenses account I was really disappointed especially that I left the waitress $20.00 cash tip So next time you go check your receipts carefully. Other then that it would have gotten a better review!!! The overcharging left a bad taste!!!

I was in last night due to a Christmas party from my job. horrible customer service poor management. Unprofessional the food disgusting I asked the waitress to cancel my order , her respond was that she will have to ask the manager, after she spoke with the manager I was not able to cancel my order but I could change the plates I was disgusted from the first plate, so I did not want to try anything else ended up paying $15 for my plate that I only took on bite. The 2 beers I had were hot. You would think due to the location of the restaurant I will be a high-quality restaurant but is the total opposite. I do not recommend this restaurant to anybody. I have called the health department on this restaurant due to its cleanliness in dust all over the place. The ac vent full of dust and just to extremely dirty Food was disgusting no Flavor , service was horrible also unprofessional and poor management. Then they try charging us an additional five dollars due to an event they’re going to have. And we were all thire since 7 PM.

So the woman at the front door charges us $5 a piece to get in, we ask her " even if we are eating?" She said yes . We sit down and as we order food the waitress says the kitchen is closed. I really try to support any latin business, but lets take thing for real.Since the theme is latin I was expecting latin music when you go in not rock. In the lobby entrance roof was leaking and inside next to a buffet table the floor was completly wet making it a hazard to any client. The food is nothing out of this world. The cook at the time should be replace, things easy to do like rice it was served under cooked, beans with nearly no flavor and steak was like going to a street dinner with no knowledge of cooking.

Like really horrible service from everyone in there. Manager walked by the table knowing we didn’t have the receipt yet and once AGAIN we had to ask for the receipt!!!

I am Colombian and love my native food. I travel the nation and the world and I have yet to be so disappointed with a colombian cousine as i was when I visited this place. They didn't have empanadas to start, I then order fish it was also missing in action. Food served at different times . There was no end to this bad experience. This should be a sports bar to watch a soccer game Not a restaurant. The margaritas were awful maybe they should stick with serving only aguardiente.

Go if you're into drinks and music, not eating. My husband and I decided to try a new restaurant do it was our First time in the restaurant, and the only couple there. The place was empty, weird for such a big place, a couple minutes later came a family of 4. I should've went straight to the car! The food was above average, not great, the place was clean but the servers were VERY distracted. Stayed in groups and kept talking the whole time we were there. all servers were fluent in Spanish, which is great for a Colombian restaurant but only 2 spoke a little English and it was a disaster for an American couple who arrived shortly after we did. The poor couple could not communicate with the servers and it looked so embarrassing. I find that horrible about a business! At least have 1 English fluent server or contact the manager so he can take the order, but I don't even think the manager was there. The food was overall good like I said, but I honestly cook better, (not being sarcastic, just being honest in my opinion). I found it too expensive for such little amount of food. I saw a lot of ads for music and karaoke nights. I see they're more popular on music nights and the bar. Not the food. I love Colombian Food and the best place is in semoran Blvd. Orlando. It's called Oh Que Bueno. That place is an A+ and this place is like a D+

I always appreciate the smell of a clean place but the cleaner needs to be better mixed because the smell was strong enough I could taste it. Atmosphere wasn't the best either because there were several unhappy people around us: it seemed some tables were using Groupon that were not being honored.

Best Columbian food restaurant in Orlando. The empanadas are second to none. The service is impeccable, they make me feel right at home eating a home cooked meal; I definitely recommend this place and the music is great on the weekends too. lol this place is a JOKE.... only been here twice and both times i was disappointed. the first time they served me food that tasted OLD, i tried giving them a second chance but this time the meat was dry and hard. both times i couldn't even finish my plate because the food was so bad i felt sick to my stomach. i'm colombian myself so i know what good colombian food is like, and sonero's doesn't have that. the place is always dirty, it seems like they don't clean at all. and don't get me started on the service... the waiters and waitresses either don't know what they're doing or they are just rude. definitely won't be wasting my time here again. i only gave them one star because the prices are really cheap but i guess you get what you pay for

This place is flaky! Don't buy or eat here.. I saw the place on Groupon and thought I'd try it but didn't get the Groupon because the stipulations for it wasn't fair enough. I thought maybe I would have a better experience without it.. I ordered the grill chicken breast with rice, salad, beans and asked if the have plantains, I also added 2 beef empanadas, now I kept asking the woman about the rice, if it comes with the beans as 1 side or not, she just kept saying yes so I thought okay well if it's rice and beans then it's probably congri version which I ask her to confirm, she said yes. Okay I thought I got 3 sides(rice N beans, plantains and a salad), I waited almost 30 minutes and I was the only customer in there at noon time on a Friday. I paid around $16.00 for this meal! I get in my car, drove home 45 minutes from the restaurant and guess what!!! I have 2 chicken empanadas in the box(the receipt says 1 chicken and 1 beef when I ordered 2 beef) and there is no rice in the pan- so I ate a small side salad, chicken breast which was aweful and dried with no seasoning, beans n plantains, I didn't eat the empanadas since I don't like the taste of it. I was so upset because I was soooo hungry!! I called the store to talk to the girl that took my order and she pretends she doesn't speak English now which is so upsetting, so I kept on talking ask by for her manager, she said they're not there, that I can come back 45 minutes to get the rice which was indeed white rice lol... this whole experience was just horrible! And guess what?? She didn't give me back my discover card I paid with!! I literally had to make my husband drive back to John Young that night to pick it up when I realize it wasn't in my purse, which she could have mentioned the 2 times I spoke to her before that day about my order being messed up! Never again! This place sucks and should not exist. There are plenty other awesome Columbian restaurants.

Horrible Service !!!! Waited 45 minuets we were a party of 15 and they brought only one appetizer not even what we ordered waiter was lost employees were cleaning and moving around furniture no one was attentive of our order or around so I walked in to the kitchen and they had stacks of dishes from last night and all the food from the buffet all and with the same gloves from moving things around the employee was eating right out of the buffet tray while working the kitchen when I confronted him about the problem and him eating while preparing food he came out and stated screaming at me and brought all the employees out telling us we were forced to pay and refused to call a mama said there was none available when I asked to get some one on the phone so I can tell them all the violations I saw and we were going to notify the health department the cook said she was the owner and she was the only one cooking what did I want !!!! We told them we refused to eat there we were discusted she said not to worry about it and go will be notifying the health department!!!!!!
