Was not at all impress. Very over priced. Wait was too long and it was not even busy. We actually left because it took too long to get service. We sat down and no one came for over 10 minutes and it was just way too loud outside by the patio near the water. The music was just way too loud and service just was not what I expected from a place like this. Valet is very slow also.

As a steak lover I ordered the 24oz wagyu rib eye for 69 dollars. I was not happy with my steak at all. It was covered in burnt seasoning and dripping in oil. The mac cheese was lovely and the mash potatoes was beautifully made.

This visit was not up to the standards of past visits. A couple of years back, my husband and I were on vacation. We were headed for the pier, and stubbled upon this steak house by chance. We instantly fell in love. So it is our go to place whenever in town. Previous visits have been amazing, from the food to the setting. We sit by the water, and just enjoy the calm feeling of the water flowing, the ships/boats passing by, and the cool breeze. However, this time upon arrival, the attitude and the tone of the manager (Charles) for outside dining was off. I noticed his attitude when I said that I preferred to sit at a table by the water. We sat and ordered at the bar until a table was ready. I specifically said I wanted a table by the water. He gave us a table that was not by the water. Before we could even sit down, another table by the water came available, but he refused to let us move. I was willing to wait until the table was cleared, but he said not. During our meal when I asked our waiter for his name he (Charles) came over to our table during our meal to explain why he could not change table. I told him I did not want to talk about it, and that I just wanted to enjoy my meal. By that time, I lost my appetite. He tried to make up for it by giving us a cake and comping our drinks, but he would not have had to do that if he had just simply let us move to the original requested table, considering that we were their 1st. Guests that arrived after us were given the tables I desired, which bother me deeply. I only get to come to Miami rarely, so when I come, I want to have a great experience. Charles ruined my visit to Smith & Wollensky this time, which through off the rest of my day, because he was so nasty from the moment we arrived.

Well, you have to question your choice when the first thing that happens as you walk into the restaurant is seeing the mâitre d’ spray Febreeze in your path to mask the odor. Not a good first impression. We also made reservations and requested a window table. When we were seated they unfortunately did not reserve the table we requested. There were 2 window tables that seated 5 people yet later as we were being served our meal, watched the mâitre d’ convert this 5 top into a 4 top and seat a couple. Needless to say we were not pleased. Our bread and butter was served and the butter tasted like it had freezer burn. We ordered a shrimp cocktail which was very good as was the cocktail sauce and house made ginger sauce. We shared a 10 oz USDA Prime tenderloin steak (highly questionable), whipped potatoes and grilled asparagus. The steak was so tough you could have bounced it on the floor as a ball and tasted old. The steak knives were so dull they wouldn’t cut the asparagus in bite sized pieces so imagine how challenging it was to cut this steak! Truly this was one of the worst meals I have had in a very long time. We decided to skip dessert as I am sure this was our best decision of the evening. I normally do not take the time to give reviews unless something is exceptionally good or bad. In this case...bad.

The view and the fact that it's the only restaurant right next to the water in Miami, makes it a cool spot. The service was good and the ambiance is excellent. I ordered a 16 oz ny strip, med rare, which is pretty standard. Unfortunately for the price, location, and the hype, it was not very good. There were quite a few places the steak was raw and the taste was just plain terrible. Maybe for the view I'll go back but most likely, due to price and taste, I'll just stay away.

Food and restaurant are amazing but the vallet service is horrible, they are not polite and they treat you like you are a “ trouble “for them. In the occasion, I was with my 2 kids and the vallet woman showed up and said: Hurry up bc I don’t have all day. I said that I was going to report this attitude and she laughed on me.... I strongly recommend the owner to take a look on that. I live two blocks from there and I am a frequent client. Sometimes I prefer to go somewhere else just because of the poor service when we get there. Vallet service is the begging of the experience, if Vallet it is not good... it is not a good start and will not be a good experience.

Michael was our server and he knows his business. Very professional very attentive and extremely knowledgeable. I'm guessing the kitchen was backed up as the turkey was not hot nor was the stuffing or the cabbage. The salad left a little to be desired. The squash soup was over-the-top good. All in all it was about the company so none of us actually complained we just kept it inside but after the meal was finished we all made our own comments to one another. Should have got steak was our conclusion.

The food here is so good. It is pricey classic New York steak. My group tried the steak special, lamb shank, and the veal. All were delicious. It's very old school decor and classic white table cloths. All their sides are delicious but I would for sure say get the asparagus and mashed potatoes.

This is my favorite place to hangout, especially when the weather is beautiful and not super hot. My girlfriend and I came here for our anniversary and couldn't have had a better time. We were greeted with an anniversary card, and presented complimentary cheesecake for dessert. Our server, though I forget his name, was attentive and courteous throughout our dinner. We had a spectacular view of the inlet and loved watching locals walk past. We specifically came here for the Miami Spice menu and couldn't have been happier with our decision. I added the peppercorn seasoning for my steak, and it was absolutely phenomenal. We cannot wait to return to try some of the menus off the real menu!

We went for my wife's 50th birthday. Four of us. They seated us at the exact time of our reservation and then we had a fantastic dinner. I ordered the New York steak, 16oz. Incredible. Menu leans towards carnivores not vegans. Great wine and beer selection. Plan on dropping $125 a head. Then afterwards [or before dinner] enjoy the beautiful municipal park that goes along Government Cut. Oh yeah: parking is ample. You're far away and no where close to the madness of South Beach when you go to Smith and Wollensky.

Oh yes, went here three times and three times we hit the jackpot. This is the original S&W restaurant where it all started. Service is great. Some of the waiters have been working here for over 20 years. The atmosphere is great and the steaks are out of this world. Go there with your NY Marathon medal and you might even get a free bottle of wine for starters!

I have been here many times before and enjoyed it very much, but the last couple of times have been very, very disappointing and vowed never to come back again. Last two times the steak was chewy, oily and tasted as if the steak has been deep fried. Service has gotten worse and worse with a lot of old waiters who could not be bothered serving you unless they felt you are an high end customer and could get a big tip. I was by myself, so they were very reluctant to seat me in the main restaurant at 3pm in the afternoon when it wasn't even busy, so I went and sat in the bar area. Food and drink is very pricey but it is something you expect from a high end steak house, but unfortunately this is now falling well short of that with the quality of food and service. It is shocking when they start serving a pint of larger beer in a Guinness glass. I don't recommend this restaurant anymore.

Old school in all the best possible ways yet also completely willing to understand our dietary restrictions and work hard to make sure that we left nicely satiated and satisfied. You can tell that the wait staff are all battle hardened pros and the management team is top notch. As for the food: Cajun rib-eye medium rare was one of my top 3 steak experiences in my life. Roasted mushrooms were decadent and perfectly seasoned-- I could have eaten a giant bowl of this for dinner alone. Caesar salad was simple yet perfectly done and seasoned. Highly recommended.

We had our Wedding Ceremony and Reception in a Private Room at this location. Autumn and her team were very professional accommodating to all the last minute changes, due to the bad weather ! Excellent service, excellent food and a professional and warm staff ! We couldn’t have chosen a better venue for our destination wedding !!! Thank you for making our “Best Day Ever” unforgettable!

Overall this was a great cut of meat that was cooked to what I would expect. I had the 14oz fillet mignon. Unfortunately I felt that it had absolutely no flavor or attitude. It was just an expensive piece of meat. Apparently the way to go is with one of their flavor profiles seen on the menu but I usually avoid those first round trying a new steakhouse. The meats are all supposedly 28 days dry aged. This fillet tasted no different then any others I’ve had.. Also had the Cajun potato’s. They had a hidden aioli on the bottom that was good once I discovered it was there. Started with the clam chowder which I was not impressed with at all. Tasted a bit like the metal pot it was probably cooked in. Would have expected better from an NYC steakhouse.

The experience was not a good one, reservation was made for 9pm, we ended at 11pm... the service was a disaster... we told them it was our wedding anniversary and made no difference on service. Bottle of wine took 20 minutes to arrive... next dish another 20... main dish not cook... took it back to the kitchen... had to wait for the bill another 20minutes ....a disappointing experience... for $200...personally will not return.

The place is not worth it. Especially for this price. If you ask medium you can easily get medium rare or rare. If ask medium well - can get well done. This can’t be so in the restaurant with such prices. I do not want you to cut my steak and cook it to the needed roasted level... very disappointed. The amount of salt in tartar is incredible. Came here for a lovely Manhattan steak with the misses on New Years. Upon entering we were greeted by courteous staff that made quick work of getting us seated and our coats and bags checked. The server's suggestions were on point and when we received a steak that wasn't cooked to our order, the server handled the situation professionally and promptly got us a steak made just right. The service here is truly a 11/10. My only reason for giving it 4 stars is that the steak is just missing a certain something, perhaps some seasoning of sorts. The cuts are amazing and dry aged just right, but I feel like if they had some in-house marinades and rubs that you could option in for a steak order it would be perfect.

Disclaimer: I've only been here two or three times and I sat at the bar which I imagine is quite different from the dining room. The bar is crowded, loud, boisterous, and clearly filled with suited-up business men letting off some steam after work. In fact, I spotted maybe 3 women the whole night. The bar food is quite good and, considering the quality, price is average for NYC. Because the portions are rather large, we decided to share everything: - 3 glasses of wine - calamari - creamed spinach - Filet Mignon This was plenty of food for two people topping out the tab at $90 ($45/person). Not bad, considering 3 of their wine glasses equates to over a bottle of wine (they filled to the rim every time)

We went for my wife's 50th birthday. Four of us. They seated us at the exact time of our reservation and then we had a fantastic dinner. I ordered the New York steak, 16oz. Incredible. Menu leans towards carnivores not vegans. Great wine and beer selection. Plan on dropping $125 a head. Then afterwards [or before dinner] enjoy the beautiful municipal park that goes along Government Cut. Oh yeah: parking is ample. You're far away and no where close to the madness of South Beach when you go to Smith and Wollensky.

On my first visit to Smith & wollansky a few months ago, I had an amazing time and the meal was a great value for money. I came back with my boyfriend a few weeks ago for lunch during restaurant week to celebrate our anniversary and our expectations were high based on my previous experience. We were sat right away at a good spot, but then we weren’t being served for 10 minutes, and we didn’t receive anything as much as a menu. All of the staff passed by us and just looked over. After i drew a waiters attention we finally got the menus. The waiter took our order of two steaks, one cooked well done and the other cooked medium. While we were waiting for the food to be ready, we noticed other tables received other condiments such as a bowl of sauce while we got nothing. I pointed that out to our server and he said he didn’t what I was referring to (even though I made it very clear and even pointed at the bowl). We were served two BURNT AND DRY steaks, very inedible. We couldn’t even say anything since we again seized of getting service. We paid extra for a side of mashed potato which was surprisingly good (to be fair). Our experience was overall pretty bad, and I guess that if you’re a customer in this restaurant who uses benefits or promotions (such as restaurant week) you’re likely to get a poor quality of food & service.

This place is amazing. On the southern most point of south beach. I took my dad here for Father’s Day. Ivan the server was an awesome person. The food came out about 10 minutes after we ordered it (we both had the salmon which was a 10/10). The view was absolutely beautiful, as we sat inside in one of the rear dining areas we overlooked the rain fall on the ocean from the large picture windows facing south. Made reservations for a party of 14 on a Thursday. Called Friday and added 2 more people and then again last minute late Saturday. They were very accommodating and friendly. I would highly recommend it to meat lovers. My husbands favorite place for meat was Texas Roadhouse, but SMITH is his #1 place now. I had a margarita and was also very well prepared. I have dine here many times with my husband, and it's outstanding, excellent steak house, but their coconut cake it's out of this galaxy, takes your taste buds to other dimensions. For years the same incredible cake, the staff, service, food keep the same consistency. Their steak is just incredible, but any dish you order will be excellent and delicious worth every penny. I was just passing by with my family visiting from Colombia we were taking pics on the park, and I mentioned the coconut cake, and I just had to take a slice to go so they could get a taste of it, their reaction was priceless. I ordered a dry aged Porterhouse rare, but I guess it doesn't need to be served barely warm. Still, the quality of the meat is high. I was surprised about the reception service: we reserved a nice spot to celebrate a special occasion, and my husband was under the impression that we would get a nice place with view. When we arrived, right on time, we found out that the table was not reserved. We waited at least 15 minutes; at that point we made a tour and found out there were so many staged tables just available all around. We came back to the reception and pushed to get a table, that was finally assigned. It took at least 25 minutes to finally sit dealing with a very rude lady pretty hysterical at the reception. I am wondering how this can happen at a Smith & Wollensky restaurant.

We never saw our waiter for that first hour, and I was hoping for at least water refills, as we were sitting outside on a very warm day. Let me start by saying we got there early 5 ish and thats with lack of parking; that said We did not have reservations but the young lady spoke to her manager and She seated us next to a big table which was being served my guess was we would be served soon but we waited and no menu, a server gave us bread but never offered any drinks. Now in my opinion if you give bread than I would think water would be next(at minimum) but that server or servers never came to our table we spent 25 minutes waiting and nobody came. Since we were hungry we had a piece of the bread and we left. there was no interest in service which felt more like youre riding by the name and not by the product or service. We went to another Steak house on Biscayne Blvd which also has a reputation for there product and service and I stress (we went without reservation) and what a difference we were served in less than a minute with ocean view I might add.

NY attitude right at the door. Very iconic please, must see if you in New York or even if you are New Yorker. Keep in mind that this is one of the most expensive stake houses in NY! Good wine selection. The food is not up to their name right now in my opinion. My wedge salad was swimming in the blue cheese dressing, mixed greens salad was full of Radicchio to the point where my friend couldn't even eat half of the salad. I had halibut special and my friends had fillet mignon, my fish was pretty dry and the fillet was nothing to brag about. In my mind if you go to the institution like S&W you expect 5 star food and service. Service was good.

This is hands down my favorite steakhouse in New York, or anywhere for that matter...and I’ve been to a handful of top steakhouses. I haven’t gotten apps because I go all out on the entree. The steaks are cooked to perfection: juicy, well seasoned, just so crunchy, massive enough to eat again tomorrow night and displayed attractively. Ive been to high end steakhouses where the sides are clearly not a focal point. This is not the case here. SW makes amazing mashed and creamed spinach. Dessert is brought to your table on a cart so you can see what you select before it arrives to eat. I still have dreams about the strawberry short cake dessert. The service is great because the servers are always readily available and able to provide great recommendations. It will run you at least 100$ pp so it’s probably not a place you go often, but for a special occasion it’s become our go to. When I leave, I always feel like my money was well spent, not like I got ripped off.

The Chinese waiter was so rude and impolite! We wanted to order steaks for medium-well, but he insisted and kept saying that medium was better and we should just order what he suggested. We politely asked if we could have more water and he seemed angry and spoke with a loud voice saying that asking more water was not right and we should just wait. When our desserts were coming, he threw the forks and spoons in a mess. When we wanted to pay the check, he impolitely said that we just choose any tips over 18%. So ridiculous this kind of services and this man!

Let me start by saying we got there early 5 ish and thats with lack of parking; that said We did not have reservations but the young lady spoke to her manager and She seated us next to a big table which was being served my guess was we would be served soon but we waited and no menu, a server gave us bread but never offered any drinks. Now in my opinion if you give bread than I would think water would be next(at minimum) but that server or servers never came to our table we spent 25 minutes waiting and nobody came. Since we were hungry we had a piece of the bread and we left. there was no interest in service which felt more like youre riding by the name and not by the product or service. We went to another Steak house on Biscayne Blvd which also has a reputation for there product and service and I stress (we went without reservation) and what a difference we were served in less than a minute with ocean view I might add.

I mean it’s ok the wine was good, not gonna lie, but we’re at S&W, not Long Horn. - Worst episode, the side of the table was broken, so my father in law was basically eating with a 30degree inclinaison plate. The solution the waiter gave us? A towel to put under is plate... While 7round tables were empty around us. While would he make an effort? Clearly considering us as low-cost customers. - We asked for medium RARE meat and it arrived medium WELL. We did not asked another one as we’ve been waiting more than 35min between the appetizer and the main plate. - Last episode, the chocolate cake, we ordered this big chocolate cake, impressive size, and so asked him how we could cut it. The answer? Do how you can (it was in Spanish so meaning « first come first serve ») he then laugh and left - incredible professionalism I have to admit. I use to recommend S&W (working as a concierge), but will definitely not reproduce this mistake again. Or precise that you need to be really hungry and order as much as you can to be respected as a customer.

You’re missing out if you don’t get a slice of the chocolate cake! Staff is very friendly and I noticed are accommodating to even the worst of patrons lol. Steak is always tender and cooked to order. My mom got a drink she wasn’t impressed by and although she didn’t make a fuss the waiter noticed she didn’t drink it and brought her a new drink free of charge. We always stop by here when we’re in town even if it’s just for a slice of cake. I’m telling you it’s that good!!

Came here with my family for lunch on a Saturday, was almost full. My dad already knew this restaurant. The outside area was crowded, great views and weather. Inside was very lively. Food is outstanding and simply flavour perfect!! We had salad with chicken, dried tomato and cheese entree, salmon with creme spinach, asparagus and one more thing I can't remember. Every single dish tasted great! Ice cream dessert is poor. We got to see how other waiters served the lamb or steak beef: it's kind of a show on itself. Service: our waitress was forgetful, we had to remind her of 2 dishes we'd ordered and a drink and the bread, which she brought at the end of the meal. We were seated in a booth table, from where you can only enjoy the view inside the restaurant. Toilets are clean and well maintained. There's valet parking. It's an upscale restaurant so come dress for the occasion, they cater for high end class. It's expensive, but worth it.

We had a reservation for 8 PM, sat and ordered around 8:30. The starters came an hour and a half later!!! We were starving, and it looked like the staff didn't really cared. We called the manager and he said we'll try to make sure it won't happen next time. Food: we ordered the tomahawk and porterhouse, they both came burned and we ate it mostly because we were starving! I never had such a bad experience with a restaurant. Even the desert came with an eaten mint leave. This is not something I would expect from a high end restaurant. Over priced for no reason. Never were we asked for additional drinks, or never was our water refilled. Our bill was over $250 for 3 persons and the table next to us with 2 adults and 3 kids that only ate the bread received more service than we did. When we finished eating after 10 minutes we had to ask to remove our plates. Never again!

This place used to be our favorite. It’s gone downhill since then. The split pea soup no longer has ham, the service is mediocre at best, and we were standing around for a while until someone noticed us and when I asked if we could have the corner table he asked “are you eating with us?” Not a welcome, or anything, why yes I would like the table just to sit and not eat. No one asked how we were doing after we received the meal, no one checked up on us. When we asked for the check it took forever to get it. She went around several tables bringing drinks to them without bringing us our check. If I wanted fast food I would’ve gone to McDonald’s. Atrocious experience for the price.

Excellent place. Inside you have a very formal dining room but if you prefer there's an external patio in front of the pier. It's more casual and includes a nice bar. A few alley cats are around, but they don't bother. View is great, food is quite good with a good variety of seafood as well. Very tasty stake! Ordered a taditional caesor salad, a jumbo asparagus, a sautee spinach, a medium well 16 oz dry aging Filet Mignon. Desserts also great! Visited for my birthday after setting a reservation on OpenTable with a special comment that it was for my birthday dinner. The food was amazing! The steak was perfectly prepared. But the service was average and our table was probably one of the worst in the building, right in the middle of the room by the door where all the bus carts constantly brushed past. The server explained the different cuts of steak and how the menu was set up which was awesome, but he clearly preferred hosting the larger tables he was assigned to, as he spent most of his time there. Not once was my birthday mentioned, it seems it was completely lost in the reservation system. Overall, the food was delicious but overpriced, and the service seemed rushed and impersonal. Would not choose this place again for a special occasion.

This place has normally been a top steakhouse over the last 10 plus years I've frequented it over the years. Tonight was very average. The bread was stale. The table cloth dirty. The fries and bernaise sause inedible. Also, meat is not at the same high standard as other options eg porterhouse. The old fashioned was nice. Lil disappointing for the cost of the experience and prior experience eating here. Place needs to get back into high gear and not rest on its historic reputation.

We went there the first time because we had gotten into the city late and found it to be the only nearby restaurant that was still open for supper. We went back the next night back the next night. If I still lived there and lived in Midtown, I would probably be one of the folks coming by fairly regularly for a delicious meal, a glass of wine and a visit with the thoughtful and friendly staff, who treated me like family at my second visit.

I went there today and the quality of meat was not great compare to other stake houses in NYC. First of all, I did not like the seating. They put all the Asian people on the corner of the restaurant. We wore just casual dress and they thought we were a tourist or something. Anyways, we ordered the porterhouse with medium well. However, it was over cooked and the inside of meat was not hot enough. I could feel the coldness inside of meat. The plate was not hot enough in the first place. It was the worst experience ever from steak house. Anyways, I won't go there anymore because I felt they treated people differently like differentiating between residence and tourist. I was so disappointed from their service.

Smith and Wollensky did not meet my expectations for "fine dining" at all. Firstly, we sat outside, and there were huge "stray" cats that kept running under the tables. Aside from that being disgusting, I am allergic to cats and my friends hate cats. Our steak came full of blood after we requested it well done. Our sides didn't come out until we were done eating. My friend's salad was disgusting. We could have went to Outback or Longhorn and have better service. But our waiter was extremely nice.

For a location in such a highly populated area of Miami Beach, the parking is surprisingly convenient. It is almost off the beaten path but still within walking distance of some cool tourist sites. This place is very suitable for high end social gatherings and they have some great rooms with very lovely views of the water to accommodate this need. Food wise it is high end fine dining on the premium price side, and expect a bit more to boot due to the SOBE location.

The first impression you get when you drive up is that the place is always busy, reservations are recommended. It is on the expensive side. I spent $200 for my wife and I and we had a filet mignon entre for each of us and shared the mash potatoes (one portion enough for 2 unless you are crazy about mashed potatoes). My wife had 2 glasses of wine and I had 1. We ended the night by sharing a cheesecake (nothing out of this world). Yes, all that was $200 not including tip. The meat was very good, as it was in other restaurants that I have gone to for less than half the price, but remember, you are paying for the name and location. We had a good time except for my wallet. It's not a bad place but for me, it did not have that wow factor. As a plus, the valet parking was reasonable at $10. As a minus, they gave me my wife's steak and gave her mine, realizing it after we cut into it, as mine was medium and hers was medium well.

Definitely a great place to hangout. Yesterday we had an amazing experience! the weather was beautiful. We sat outside at the patio and it was just perfect! Beautiful waterfront view. We really enjoyed it. Great food and service. 4 stars because our waiter suggested the Snake River Rib Eye to share (we were a party of 3) and honestly it would be fine for 2. That’s why we think it’s overpriced ($170). And also, we had to wait almost 1 hour to get our meal. But overall, it was a very nice experience and we are definitely going back.

It is all a big hype!!!! We made reservations for my husband’s birthday for outside dinning. We arrived 15 minutes early, we were told that we had to wait for 1 1/2 because their policy is “first come first served”. We took a table inside.We asked the wine menu. We were told they don’t sell wine by the bottle only by glass. Weird and untrue! I ordered salmon and my husband yew York strip cooked medium with a bit of pink in the center. The steak came mowing and the plate food of blood with the first cut. We sent it back to cook again. Salmon nothing special, nothing ordinary. The only thing from the menu we enjoyed, cream of spinach and their warm bread. We can do so much better with $200 somewhere else. Won’t be going back!

Nice view water front. We were from out of town and it would have been nice if the Miami spice menu had been presented to us. We had no idea until $200 had been spent and were told the next day about the Miami spice going ob in August and September.

I was disappointed that a restaurant of this caliber didn't have butter warmers for your lobster tails. Eating lobster tails that are getting cold, with even colder drawn butter was HORRIBLE.

Smith and Wollensky did not meet my expectations for "fine dining" at all. Firstly, we sat outside, and there were huge "stray" cats that kept running under the tables. Aside from that being disgusting, I am allergic to cats and my friends hate cats. Our steak came full of blood after we requested it well done. Our sides didn't come out until we were done eating. My friend's salad was disgusting. We could have went to Outback or Longhorn and have better service. But our waiter was extremely nice.

Tourist trap that lives on a reputation it earned 40 years ago, serving average to below-average food, with preposterously high prices for the quality offered. Supposedly dry aged steak tasted certainly dry, but definitely not aged (more like it was alive a week ago). Service was hurried and felt like a processing plant (trying to get the table free for the next seating). Charged $14 dollars for a tomato and onion salad that was three slices of tomato and three slices of Onion. If you want good steak there are plenty of better options in NYC.

What a disappointing night. I got all dressed up with my friends to go to a five star restaurant expecting great food and service and left so upset. The waiter was extremely dismissive, only coming back to change our food. We saw waiters chastasing other waiters in front of customers and weren’t even offered drinks. When we came out of the restaurant we were met with more frustrated customers as the valet was at a standstill. People were just grabbing their keys and getting their cars. Just overall, not a great experience for the price. Might as well go to Chilis for better service.

Came here today for my birthday and it was a fantastic lunch.The Colorado rib was Dee- licious.Crabcake the best in the city.The soft shell crab cooked to perfection .calamari , the way i wanted it.And yes the coconut cake so fresh and so good. The chocolate cake to die for. And all the side dishes are cooked to perfection My Compliments to the chef Mr. J. Lopez.. Delicious food. We had the chilled crab and lobster as a starter for our table of 8 we then had a variety of meals from burgers, to filet steak through to the the fish. The meal was outstanding but the service was average. Again I feel the overall feeling in New York restaurants need an improvement, afterall you paying 20% tip for service which is ridiculous in itself coming from South africa where we pay 10 percent IF the service is good. Smith and Wollensky is a lovely old fashioned style american resturant and a must visit when you are on Manhattan.

Extremely underwhelmed by the food, although the service was pleasant. The fried calamari consisted of frozen ringlets overly fried and had a hair along with the order, but the waiter brought out a hairless replacement. The steaks were dry and nearly unsalted although the plate had juice in it. The creamed spinach must have come from a frozen package. The mac&cheese shells were good and the home fries were acceptable. The sauteed spinach was decent but the local diner makes all of the above much better and for a much lower price. We were 5 people splitting 3 steaks (a porterhouse, sirloin, and ribeye), they smelled and looked good, but had no flavor. With a bill of $650 we'll find a steakhouse with flavorful meat next time.
