As a Texan, it's good but not great. I have eaten here 10+ times and the meat has a good smokey flavor and is mostly tender. I really wish I could get some good sides too they are all very mediocre. Way to much Mustard in potato salad and not enough sweetness in slaw. Also, beware of the hot and sweet sauce because it is FN hot.

Stopped by today for the first time and I'm glad I did. This is the first BBQ place I've found that I would return to since moving to Tampa 6 years ago. I ordered the sampler platter with mac and cheese and baked beans. My taste buds are in heaven. I will definitely be back

I must say I am a picky eater. I was staying at the InTown Suites and I noticed this cute truck on the side of the road. I usually never eat from places that aren't big ensuring they can wash their hands etc. This truck intrigued me as I examined the truck trying to decide did I want to proceed. lol The lady that served me was very polite and friendly. (hard to find these days..ijs) Their prices are good for the quality of the food. It was great, the bun was cute and fresh so was the meat and beans. I will definitely eat here again!

Really good! Awesome ribs and brisket. Ribs are fall right off the bone. Brisket is good enough you don't even need sauce. The Mac and cheese bites are really good too, crunchy and cheesy. The hot BBQ has a punch and flavor.

It took me about a day to find a company that could cater around 25 people for a holiday/new office party. I had called other places and everyone seemed so rude. When i called Sarge's, the person i spoke to was very nice considering I had no idea what i wanted to order. He was very helpful. Once i gave him a date and made the order he said he was going to email me that night. And he did. About a week before the party, I was told I had scheduled the party for the wrong day. I called Sarge's and told them what had happened and they were able to change the date. It really blew me out of the water that this company really cared about their customers when the man said they are normally not open on Mondays but would still cater for us on that day. The food was AMAZING!!! All of the employees loved it and our company will definitely order from Sarge's in the future. The Ride Top Exteriors Tampa Family

Best Brisket I've ever had! The true sign of any BBQ plave is their Brisket, and this one takes the cake. Tie in the Creamy Mac & Cheese, the flavor bursting beans and the awesome staff and you've got yourself a phenomenal meal.

Had the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw on top and beans. Was fantastic. Generous portion for under $10. Super fast even during lunch on a week day Update: I go here pretty much once a week ever since finding it. It's been fantastic every single time. Not a single thing I've ordered has been anything less than delicious.

Who knew that the best BBQ would come out of a food truck! I've eaten at many staple BBQ restaurants and I tell you, this is by far the best. The food and sides are so consistent with flavors and they are a hit at our workplace! The people who own and run it are awesome people and donate a portion of their proceeds to charity when we have them come to work. Catering with them has also been one of our favorites by far, we call on them 2-3 times a year for our company luncheons. Brisket is a must. You will NOT be disappointed and you will indeed thank me later. Their mac and cheese is to die for. I have never tasted Mac N Cheese Heaven until I had theirs and there is NO wonder they do so well and their ratings on every social media platform is an almost perfect 5 stars. Check it out guys and again, thank me later!

I ordered the BBQ boat and it was delicious. All of the BBQ items layered on top of another was a very enjoyable experience and I've never eaten BBQ this way before. If you are military or a first responder you get a discount and you can call ahead to reduce waiting time. The owner as very friendly and he gave me a punch card where you can get your 10th meal free!

Top BBQ spot in Tampa - forget 4 Rivers - you'll be much happier over at Sarge's grabbing some delicious BBQ to-go. On Fridays they have rib tips and they are AMAZING. The BBQ boat is also incredible - love everything on the menu. If you love chicken - they will not disappoint! Great staff too!

I have to give a shoutout to this place. The food here is great all around BBQ. The mac and cheese is by far the best I have ever had the privilege of eating. The meats are all really good. Any of the sauces are really good also. I love that they through a little bit of everything in the baked beans. If I had to complain about anything I would say I wish they sliced the brisket instead of shredding it. I can't forget to mention that the owners seem like great people and are ex military. Go out and give them a try and I promise you won't regret it.
