Absolutely everything about this place is amazing!! I'm no easy audience I highly recommend this fabulous place to everyone and anyone! It's on the water with amazing views whether you go during the day or in the evening. The wait staff has manners that are impeccable! Kudos to the management for great training. The staff or a pleasure the food is amazing hands down some of the best in all of Miami along with the service I can't say enough about the service. The bread but they serve you when you first sit down is to die for you will never eat anything better ever ever ever ever anywhere! It's absolutely addicting. Portions are nice size prices are reasonable location is 10 Stars along with the staff. Highly recommend to anyone local for romantic evening. Or wonderful day time anniversary lunch. It's a fabulous place to get married. Have a bachelorette party have a bachelor party the bar is beautiful the views I can't say enough they have a baby grand piano and the staff oh my God the staff is amazing I can't say enough about staff or about this place!!! If you are visiting you don't want to miss just fabulous all around you will remember me as you get up and leave and say to yourself wow I just had an amazing meal with amazing service an outstandingly amazing view. I will be back I go back on a regular basis all of the time! Kudos to everyone at The Rusty Pelican.

Came in with a party of 8. From the corsa America rally group, waited for 2 hours nothing came out. Talked with the manager, but since it's now 10pm we needed to leave so we could get dinner before places closed. My opinion, don't come with a large group. You will never get the food. Pretty place to look at. But that's it.

I had to come see what the “best view of Miami” looked like! Came for a nice night out with the wifey. We went around sunset so we got to see the skyline change from light to dark. I will say the best part about this place is its view. Our food definitely took a very long time to come out, though the restaurant was somewhat busy, still no way it should’ve taken this long.. I went ahead and ordered the Pork Chips and Mash Potatoes which was pretty amazing, not even gonna lie! Aside from the long wait for dinner, which probably isn’t always the case, this is a beautiful dinner spot.

Amazing skyline views of Miami with upscale seafood specialties. Crafty cocktails and great ambience makes this place even more special. Highly recommend for special events or dinner celebrations. Romantic place. Booking for outdoor dining is absolutely required. Little expensive but given the food, views and amazing service, the price is justified.

When I first read the reviews about the poor service at this restaurant especially the bartenders, j was skeptical. But then last night we experienced it first hand! The guy bartender is very rude & arrogant! I went to ask for glasses of water for our table & gave me only one. I told him that am going to need more because our table of 10 is out of water. He said that he will come over to our instead, but never showed up. That’s when I went back to the bartender since the rest of servers were pretty busy & him just standing around doing nothing! But instead of apologizing & fix the simple problem, he tried to lie to me & said that he was looking for ice, which it’s in front of him. It was very clear that he was not going to be helpful! It’s interesting that this guy & the other lady bartender still has a job there! They are very poor incustomer service, professionalism & most of all the ability to do their job in which they are getting paid for! It’s too bad that these employees have gotten away with it for so long, if others have posted poor service in the past! If I was the manager I would have cleaned out these bartenders giving a bad attitude to paying customers!

This place is awesome the food is phenomenal and the view and staff are just sublime. The only downside is that they do valet only parking. I really do not like other people driving my car especially since it costs so much. Aside from that it’s a wonderful place to visit with a spectacular views of they Key Biscayne area.

This place just sells extremely overpriced food. Foods have no taste. Please go somewhere else. The good reviews are not legit. They are paid reviews for sure. Foods taste like straight water. We had to stop by at another restaurant after spending $700 at that restaurant. Believe me it is just small portion overpriced food . First time and last time.

Two stars only for the view (it was amazing) but everything else was terrible. Went in last night for my first time as it was a special birthday dinner my partner took me out for. Our waiter was extremely rude and had us waiting extended periods for anything we requested. The worst was bringing us steak with no steak knife and then having us wait until it was cold to get us one. The chicken was dry and not very flavorful. Disappointed is an understatement.

My wife and I attended a post-funeral function in one of the private rooms with approx. 50 persons and this establishment did an outstanding job. They accommodated additional guests that showed up, served a delicious selection of salads, entrees, veggies and deserts. The servers were polite, professional and very attentive. I’ve visited the RP several times over 30 years and they have really stepped up this restaurant. The views of the bay are spectacular. The wine & coffee table service was excellent. My brother-n-law looked down from heaven and was happy his loved ones & friends had this wonderful gathering. Thank you.

The views are unmatched. The food is delicious everytime I go. The service is top notch. This time I went to celebrate a retirement. Food was a self-serve buffet. There was a good variety of food. I'm not sure if the DJ was from the Rusty Pelican or not. But he was not very good. Kept killing the vibe by changing the song type dramatically after each song. The valet was very efficient and only $6.

We had Julian and Ricky as a servers on Sunday morning brunch. We spent the day exploring miami before we leave for a cruise Monday. Both Julian and Ricky has great customer service and a sense of humor. We were greeted with the signature corn bread and were amazed by the flavors. We then tried the empanadas and they were also amazing! We had the salmon and crab cake eggs Benedict as well as the crab cake huevos rancheros. All of the food was amazing. We also got the bottomless mimosas which is a no brainer when aa single is $14 and the bottomless is $20. Would hands down recommend coming here to any one new to the area. We will be back for customer service and food alone. Did I mention how amazing the views are?

It's a nice place.However, I was so disappointed because when we call in the morning for a reservation for 6 persons,as we know most of the nice restaurants required one ,we were told that we can just walk in.On Arrival ,around 6pm the staff stated that we needed reservation if not we are going to wait until 10pm.When my husband went for his car telling the valet's manager there is no table available,then he accompanied him and they give him a table.The worst is we heard someone who just walked in and told them "I made a reservation 1h ago."one of the staff stated"Dr...."and he was welcomed. What that's supposed to mean...is this restaurant 'staff need to see your face first , name and title before reservation. We know which country we are living at this time.I was thinking coming back.Its the last time.Never Again.

This restaurant has an incredible view overlooking Biscayne Bay and downtown. Most seats gave the bay and your view is extraordinary. The service is impeccable. Several servers attend to your needs and service your table. We celebrated my birthday and it is one of the most romantic places I’ve been to. The food is absolutely delectable. The dessert and the candle blowing ceremony is unique and different than any other. Love this restaurant. Will be coming again.

Beautiful view, recently renovated landmark restaurant. Unfortunately to enjoy the view you have to endure average food which is expensive. I don't mind at all the food is expensive, but I do mind that it is average. Had ceviche, not a complicated dish, the yams were undercooked, flavor nothing special, presentation meh. Service was very average also. Had the bloody Mary, comes with a shrimp, celery stalk, piece of bacon, olive, and small pepper. Very fancy indeed, flavor was very good. The rest of my party had different presentation of eggs Benedict, again average. Portion sizes on the medium to small, except for the pancakes and the French toast. In summary, go for the view NOT for the food.

Been coming here since I was 9 I am now 24. Since moving to Atlanta my girlfriend and I come to Miami every September and always make sure to stop by Rusty Pelican. This is our second time coming together and service is always top notch you feel like royalty here, food is exceptional, cocktails are made with love, and the killer view is always breathtaking. Oysters are a must have here as well as the surf and turf (short rib 6hr cooked with lobster with scratch Mac and cheese) best Mac and cheese hands down, as well as 12oz dry aged New York strip, and if you like fish the branzino with couscous. Thank you Rusty Pelican for staying open for all these years and hope many more to come!

This is the place to be if you want to impress your S.O. Make a reservation for a table outside by the bay and make it in the evening. They have a great wine selection and the Lobster was the best! Wait staff was on point and I'll never forget this place. You might have to make a few laps around the parking lot before you get one or just have valet take of it.

What a great recommendation. We spent a few days visiting the Virginia Key Outdoor Center on the other side of this island. The owner and staff made great recommendations including this fantastic spot. The service was first rate. Drinks at the bar were well prepared. Food was very tasty. The view was memorable. I can definitely said that Rusty Pelican used to be a prime restaurant in Miami. It has the best view of the city, amazing atmosphere, great service and excellent brunch. Last two times we where there the service wasn’t that good, we had to practically beg to sit outside since we where past dinner time and wanted us to sit at the bar for a couple of drinks and appetizers. How you fit a party of 6 at a bar? And food took longer than expected with a good presentation but absent quality. We let it slide and didn’t mentioned mayor thing to the waiter. Still I can say if you are visiting Miami go to Rusty pelican for a nice and relaxing view, it’s been a while for me but things might have changed.

Romantic restaurant with great service and a wide selection of delicious dishes. We had the Charcuterie and Cheese Plate (choice of 3), the Dry Aged New York and the Mishima Wagyu Block Cut Rib Eye, which was amazing. delicious corn bread is complimentary. The atmosphere is relaxed and you don't feel rushed to order. You can relax and have a drink, enjoy the views, and order when you're ready. Call ahead and ask for a table outside near the water for the perfect view. Inside it's nice as well, more elegant. Tiny recommendation for the restaurant- the tables could do with an upgrade. Maybe just table cloths and a small detail in the middle would do the trick.

Last two times I’ve been there have been very disappointing. I went for my birthday dinner last time and service was awful to borderline insulting. Considering the average entree is ~$50, it is unacceptable to receive such poor service. The view outside is great, but doesn’t make up for the bad service. I will not be returning.

This place was fabulous. The view of downtown Miami is amazing. Reserving a table ahead of time is recommended. We booked our table through 'Open Table' for a Friday night. We arrived 30 minutes before our reservation and took great pictures with beautiful backgrounds. We checked-in with the hostess 10 minutes before our reservation and they had us seat with in 5 minutes. If you want a patio table or a window expect to wait, but really you can get a good view from just about any table. The food was delicious! Great place to celebrate a special occasion.

When I saw the big neon sign, I thought tourist trap, but we heard good things and decided to give it a try...so glad. Excellent friendly service from Roberto for lunch. He made great suggestions. The salmon BLT on homemade ciabatta was divine. Desserts looked really wonderful, but we didn't have time. Pouring rain, but the view would be fabulous on a better day.

We were here for a wedding. This place was fantastic, the view of Miami was gorgeous at night. During the rehearsal I had some down time and visited the bar to get a kids meal for some hungry little one's and staff was friendly and service good. During the wedding event everything was top notch: the venue, the service, the food... all of it.

It was okay. For a restaurant that I assume is suppose to be upscale, the windows were filthy. And the food was good/ok but not amazing as I would think it would be for that price. I mean it's salmon so the fish itself is already good. My boyfriend really likes the salmon sushi rolls though. They brought plenty for a good price.

View is great. A lot of frustrations with how it is run. They force you to use valet parking even though the lot out front is wide open....like literally 20 ft from the door. The patio had at least 20 open tables for the entire length we were there... But wouldn't allow my wife and I to change tables to one with a better view because it was reserved. (though no one showed up to any of them during our 2 hour lunch). Lastly it was a 2 hour lunch! Food takes forever. When it arrives it was great....but we had to get our bill and pay it before it actually showed up because we were going to miss our flight. I packed half of mine to go and ate in the car. Would return.... But would manage my own expectations

Very disappointing experience! My husband made reservations for my birthday and made sure he let them know it was my birthday. When we got there it seemed like it was just open sitting and we did not even have a reservation. Service was very poor, food was beyond disappointing specially for the price you pay. I had to send back my steak because it had no flavor and it seemed like it was steamed. Our server not even once mentioned happy birthday or anything, and even when my husband told him that we were about to step out to take a picture he did not offer to take it for us and just took our card to make sure we were paying our bill. Will definitely not go back to this place even though it has a nice view of Miami totally not worth the time or money to go here! 65 dollars for a group dining experience. If you are vegan or vegetarian all they give you is oily rice. Nothing else was offered. Don't waste your time or money.

We had a family wedding a few weeks back and I do have to say the views are the best anywhere. However, the food is a total bust for me. The wedding buffet consisted of pasta and salad, that I have to say was really good. But the restaurant, completely overrated. Way too much fusion/seasoning on things that taste nothing like they're supposed to. It's a beautiful place, don't get me wrong. The views are gorgeous. But that's about it

Service was great, ambiance is like no other and the drinks were amazing. Food was very good seasoned well. We had the crab cake, short rib empanadas, Fried whole snapper, and the short rib surf and turf with Lobster. FIRE... definitely will go back soon

I've been here numerous times and have always loved this beautiful restaurant and unfortunatly talked it up way to much to my daughter. The views are the very best and sunset / Miami lights at night are worth the trip. Drinks were great but nothing we ordered to eat was very good and certainly not worth the cost. Sad to say I doubt I'll ever go back.

we went to celebrate at the rusty pelican, a smart choice indeed, we had a wonderful waiter that helped us with every dish choice, wine choosing and even helped us modify a bit the food tray for 2 to suit our liking . amazing service and amazing view. and when you think of it was not over priced as we thought it will be. 5 stars !

Great view of Miami harbor. Had salmon and pulled pork sandwiches. Really good, nicely done. Lunch prices aren't terrible, dinner prices are very high. This is a nice upscale restaurant, not a dive.

I have been to the Rusty Pelican many of times over the years and although they have always been great but our last visit was phenomenal. My girlfriend and I just spent our 5 Year Anniversary there and what an experience. Highly recommended. You will not regret it.

Food very poor quality -Steaks tasteless, Lobster are a joke. Order two shrimp instead, more meat in the shrimp. Very expensive for the amount of food you get. Waiters try to push you quickly throughout your dinner. They brought main coase 10 minutes into appetizers. Didn't offer dessert or after dinner cup of coffee. Felt rushed. Female manager didn't know how to process my gift cards for payment. Hit my debt card for twice the amount and then tried to return it. Hitting my card twice. Won't ever go back.

My husband and I came to Florida for vacation. On our wedding anniversary we came to this restaurant for dinner. It was amazing! The view of the city is beautiful (best view of the city!) and our waiter Michael was very accommodating. Everything that we ate was perfect - sushi, lamb chops, salmon, snapper, corn bread! It was the best corn bread we have ever tasted! There are indoor and outdoor seating. It was very windy and in the 60s so we sat inside and still had a great view. I would definitely come here for an upscale delicious dinner. No dress code to come here!

I am extremely disappointed of this restaurant. First, I made the appointment to have a table outside, and when I got there It was raining. I asked for at least a table by the window and they told me I had to wait. I decided to take the table they gave me which was all scratched and Dirty. At this point I was already upset. The server took more than 15 min to greet us, didn’t even say her name, or recommend any dish. Whatever, for appetizer we ordered the pork croquettes which they tasted like crab meat, and the short rib empanadas which taste like a common empanadas, Nothing special. Besides that, our main course was taking more than 30 min to arrive. Drinks took a while as well. The only GOOD thing was the corn bread which was awesome. The manager( Devin Perez) took care of the us, and apologized. He was really nice and invited us go back again. It was the first time coming to this well known restaurant and I had high expectations, but it literally ruined my anniversary night .

A great place to go to in Miami if you are celebrating a birthday or going on a date. Beautiful views. The food is also very good. Recommend the lamb app and short ribs empanadas ( order The Orange drink with it). All the entrees I am sure are great. I ordered the scallops. Overall definitely five stars to the service including the host giving me a window seat because it was my birthday ; and for the ambiance and the delicious food.

Beautiful view from the outdoor seating. The cheese board was very good and wine list was impressive. We had a very long and leisurely dinner, never felt any pressure to hurry up from the server, which was nice considering the limited seating outdoors.

Nice place. Nice atmosphere. Very dark, some may like it but I couldn’t see my food. Only other reason for a 4 star review is because it doesn’t have that 5 star ummph... beautiful views, just feel it’s missing that over the top for a 5 star
