The restaurant layout and ambiance was very welcoming. We went there with a couple of friends made a reservation and we were able to be sitter right away. They do require a credit card while making a reservation. The drinks and food were tasty, they had a small band entertaining us which I believe they do have it on the weekends. I would definitely come back here. The service and waiter was great.

Really unique restaurant with excellent food and service. You really feel like you're in the late 20's era with the decor, outfits and live jazz playing. It has an open kitchen which is really cool and upstairs is a lounge with another bar and dancing area. They even have valet. Great midtown gem for locals! Will be back!

The world upside down. If you expect an speakesy/prohibition ambience and great drinks, prepared to be disappointed. Bright lights, open kitchen, plasma TV aggravated by uninspired cocktail menu and poor quality drinks will kill that vibe quickly. However, they do have great food and amazing live sax player. If they could get it all it would be a homerun, unfortunately the basics are completely missing.

Five stars! Its was our first time here. Great food, good atmosphere. Can get a bit busy, so sometimes there is quite a wait. I loved eating at the counter by the open kitchen and watching the cooks prepare breakfasts while enjoying my coffee. Great customer service! Thank you guys!

Wow what a great restaurant. I was a little leery of going there. But I am so happy I did. This restaurant has the best mussels I've ever tasted. We had half a chicken ,mussels, Lobster croquettes, lamb chops and meatballs. Place is very reasonable price. For the quality of food they give you. The staff was over the top. I don't remember our waiters name. He had a very interesting looking beard. I recommend this place to anybody. Definitely worth your time and money. I will definitely be going back.

Nice restaurant but pricey. Food was very salty and not many choices too choose from. However, loved the dishes we ordered although the chicken was super salty. The live saxophone performance was very entertaining and the artist was nice and went around the table to greet each customers. We ordered no drinks, but just plain water with 1 salad, 1 appetizer and 2 entrees and total was over $100.

Parking is terrible in this area BUT the drinks are so great! Our bartender, Adrian was great- didn't make a fuss when I asked for vodka instead of gin in one of the drinks (I ALWAYS get rolled eyes for this request- but I don't like gin, get over it) and every drink he created were so good! This is a cute bar with no fuss and I will be back.

I would have given less stars if the manager Tony didn't try his best to save the day, because GM was not very nice or helpful apart from a few free drinks, he was too busy trying to make his point . If you are planning to reservations for a celebration with a large party of 7 or more this is not the spot for you, reserved time is limited to 2 hours. The hostesses and waitresss, you could tell she didn't want to serve us she barely stop to take orders from our party and rolled her eyes each time we did her to stop as is we were bothering her and she was obviously annoyed by us being placed in her section. Even with her rude vibe we still gave her a generous tip, when really didn't deserve a top at all... we will not be returning, which is a shame because it is a very cute spot

Absolutely beautiful setting for a wonderful evening here. Experienced my first and 2nd Sidecar cocktail here. Wow. The small plates option is a smash hit also. Really enjoyed the octopus and the chorizo croquettes. Spectacular.

This place has the best food, great live music, best staff, go with friends or your love ones. Best to call ahead though. It’s that great! This place is worth it. They have parking right next to them. You need to look for it. The sign is small so go slow when coming up. It is on the right side of the BLDG. The drinks are sweet and you need to be careful not to drink too much they are that good, but so worth them. :) The food is the best, the steak was the best I have ever had in town. They bring the food out as it is ready, so when your are in groups the food not come at the same time, this is a good thing it shows they do not hold your food. Once it is ready it is out on the table ready to eat hot and fresh for your enjoyment. The way it should be! It’s worth every penny you pay.

I love this place. Their seafood dishes are always on spot. The only thing I didn't care for here is the escargot- really was not up to the mark. The cocktails have some out of the usual items which I definitely enjoyed. Live music every time I visited. Good place for a date night. Parking tip - park in the mall parking across the road if you want to avoid valet parking and don't even bother with street parking - it's a pain.

Excellent ambiance and the saxophonist is just amazing. But beware of the service at the bar as you might be charged an extra drink or won’t get the happy hour discount. That was my experience today with my friend (another woman). We saw the check and noticed that there were extra drinks charged as well as two different kinds of gin even though I had not specified which gin to use for my drink. The happy hour discounts were not added and we had to wait an extra 30 mins for the bar tender to finally “get it right” and give us the correct check. Be careful and check your tab twice!!

We went on vaca and got lucky to not have reservations and still get accommodations at the bar. We had some drinks that were good but the star was the steak with cilantro rice with those crispy plantains. So delicious, nice touch with a live jazz playing in the background! Okay huge foodie who has traveled the US- Loved all the dishes we chose! The mussels aren’t the best I’ve ever had but they’re good, make sure you dip them in the sauce! We ordered: skirt steak, scallops, seared octopus, spicy meatballs, Mussels, and creme brûlée. The scallops and seared octopus are my go to! sevrvice was amazing, went on a Monday night near closing. Can’t wait to go again! It’s a try all kinda place!

Horrible.. my friend had a birthday dinner there and we valet our car. They broke into my friend car and stole her purse which was in the trunk, they vandalized inside the car and also stole her boyfriend colognes and other valuables while parked in valet. Valet guy was rude, nonchalant.

Well this is it! A friend and I ventured out to meet here on a very dark and stormy night. Listen, our dining experience was worth the risk! To start, if they didn't offer a Chef's Table experience before, they do now! We sat on the edge of the open kitchen where the amazingly talented chef, his awesome and delightful crew who were full of recommendations and our gentleman of server Frank TOTALLY doted on we two queens! Total star treatment! For starters we had the Lobster Croquettes/ Croquetas...so great they disappeared from the plate before I could snap a pic! The truffle scallops entree I ordered was bursting with vivid colors letting me know everything was FRESH and equally bursting with delicious flavor. Dessert pictured *was* (so past tense as it was quickly devoured): Red Velvet Cake with get this...Pistachio gelato!

This place was great, I will deffenitly go back. We had a late night reservation and when we walked in I did not think it look like most Speakeasy places but it had a good vibe. We were sat right away and told that the menu was tapas style. My 5 friends and I ordered 5 small plates one meal and one side for all of us to share. Everything we had we loved including our drinks! There was enough food maybe even a little too much and the price was not bad when we divided it by 6. During dinner there was fun music playing in the background and we asked the waiter what was upstairs, he informed us there was a lounge slash club area upstairs. As soon as we were done with dinner it was raining outside and we decided just to walk up stairs and continue our night by hanging out there. It's convenient to have good food good drinks and some nightlife all in one spot!

Cold point. The official dining room is downstairs, and on the top floor is the living room. Both menus apply to both. The food was very good, and the DJ started at 10 pm. The eclectic mixture and recommended night. If you like whiskey, this is the right place. The menu of the drink is about 80% of whiskey, it's none of my business. Despite this, this place looks very comfortable and makes you feel in the days of Capone. We did not try the food, but it looks good. There are always people there. This is good because I do not like empty places.

I'll break down why I gave this very hip spot only three stars. Walking in the vibe is very cool and hip so I was impressed. But when I sat at the bar, the bartender gave me a dirty plate. The plate had food on it. So I was immediately turned off. For the price of the food, the food itself was very mediocre. Average tasting at best. The food was just ok. Upstairs was popping! Very cool vibe. The DJ even played some throw back Cash Money. I would go again but only to go upstairs.

We made a reservation for a table for two. When we got to the restaurant they only had room at the bar. The manager said that the tables are only for parties of 4 or more people and that it was clearly marked. They were rude to us because my boyfriend is black and made him uncomfortable. The reservation confirmation clearly stated “table for 2”. The manager made no effort to accommodate us and dismissed us quickly, while there were several open tables.

WOW is all I gotta say when I got here. Looks like your typical Miami restaurant but WOW the food is delicious. I can't even remember the last time I had as delicious food as I had here, if ever. The server was great, everyone was so friendly. I have never had a croquette and wanting to try it since it had lobster in it. Mind blowing on how good it was. I had the salmon while the rest in my group had a steak, side of lobster, and lamb chops. Had a taste of all of them and I couldn't decided which one I liked more. Defiantly coming back here

Great place for drinks and dinner. The food was exceptionally good! Truffle lobster mac and cheese is a must have. The portions are quite large so order accordingly. The only reason it loses a star is because our server was not very attentive, and if you are a party of two you will get seated at a bar style setting even with a reservation, although the chairs are nice and comfy. If you are there before 8:30pm and plan to leave before that time then you will get a table.

The restaurant called me only 2 hours before dinner to let me know that I could not have a table for 2 people, while I had been told the opposite when I first called to book a table... So we were having dinner on the bar for a birthday, which is not the nicest. Also I told them that the party was for a birthday but the server had no clue and I had to remind him at the moment of dessert. Finally, the prices on check were not matching the menu, and the server reacted aggressively and ironically when I asked him to correct. Really not a good service. All these reasons kinda ruined the party.....The food is good, but overall I would not recommend. Too pretentious and overpriced for what you get.

I have been wanting to go to this resturant for a long time because it's one of the few places in Miami that has live jazz music. Plus I have herd many great things. We went on a Saturday night. The ambiance is mellow and smooth, nice lighting. The music was at just the right volume so you can still have a conversation. And the food was phenomenal!! I recommend the truffle lobster mac and any of the croquetas.

The food here is magnificent. The meatballs with a side of fries is a meal onto itself. Our group each ordered something different so I have the opportunity to taste various dishes on their menu. The salmon was succulents and whole of flavor. The chicken was the most flavorful piece of Whole quarter chicken that I have had in a very long time period and please do not let me start on the lamb. Amazing! Even the cocktails were top notch. There was no hit-and-miss.Everything that came to our table was a worthwhile experience.

It's a cool setup, has a dim lit lounge area, occassional live music, good cocktails, but I would not necessarily call it a speakeasy. With regards to the food, it was all pretty tasty. I highly recommend the grouper and the creme brulee. The free range chicken was just okay. We went on a Friday night and it was an older crowd.

Celebrated my 29th birthday with a group of friends last night and had an amazing time!! Everyone was so friendly, accommodating, and attentive. Everyone ordered a variety of items on the menu and we enjoyed everything. The vibe at the Eighteenth is one that I've been missing at other establishments. Usually you have to pick 1 over the other. This was my first experience here, but i assure you I will be back!

Not much of a Speakeasy kind of place, but it has a lot going for it. Close to the midtown area, it’s easy to cross the street and arrive. Decoration is on point, the vibe is great. Drinks are really good, with a vast menu and many different options. Only wish they had more international craft beers. The music was a little too loud and too “reggaeton” for my taste. I expected more of a mix when it came to the music. The space is really good and service was quick and friendly. Not bad if you want to have a few drinks with your friends and dance a bit. Check it out.
