We waited months for this place to open. We walked past it all the time watching it get ready and wished for it to open. Then bam!! Here it is and it was sure worth it. The customer service is amazing and the detail to authentic Indian Cuisine is amazing. The flavors and heat are incredible. The samosas rock!! The staff shows how much they care and take great care of us. We will surely be visiting this place weekly! Especially since we can walk here.

Incredible Indian restaurant. We had six people tending our table. The food was amazing and the service rivaled some Disney restaurants (maybe even better). Dishes were artful and super delicious. Definitely a place to keep coming back to.

Usually come here and not gonna lie, the food is good. But their service is always lacking... we came in at 9:30 (which is 30 minutes away from closing) still plenty of time to have a quick meal, we drove 25 minutes to get there. However, when we came in there was no one, i mean no servers, no management and no costumers. As we walked in we saw a man, clearly either a cook or manager in the back, made eye contact and tried to get his attention... After him looking at us multiple times and flat out turning away and us waiting for 7 minutes we just walked out. So disappointed with the lack of costumer service, will never come back!

Have been at Maya half a dozen times since it opened.Having lived in Mumbai and then Manhattan I have been at most of the Indian restaurants there tand Maya can compete with the best of them.Yhe food is authentic and innovative.The sauces are excellent and favorful.(Hence the name Maya, flavors of India). One of the few Indian restaurants where fish is not overcooked.The service is fantastic and the owner Mr.Merchant is always there to make sure you received great food and service. Only thing missing is the cocktails, though beer and wine are available. 12/14/18 A correction re. my review. Sadly Boca has become a town withno great indian food again. Thia was a place that won the heart of the local Indian community with absolutely fantastic food and service.One of the owners left a month ago and the restaurant has taken a nose dive.Mediocre food and poor service.Initially we thought the change in management and recent thanksgiving holiday was responsible for temporary setback but alas that’s not so.

Had the lunch special - which is only $10 - it was a 3 course meal. The food was made fresh and it was a lot of food! The soup was good, the fish fry was tasty and the lamb was cooked authentically. Customer service was outstanding, Moses (one of the owners) gave me a mango smoothie to try and it was really good, not too sweet. He was very attentive and so was the staff. I will definitely be going back!

Bad customer service ..he didnt serve 2 items. After reminding we luckily got one but the other item never came. When we asked him to remove the missing item from our bill, instead of accepting his mistake, the waiter kept on questioning us and unnecessarily started arguing. Staff does not have manners to talk with customers. The waiter himself compared his restaurant to McDonald's. Lastly, the food was absolutely tasteless. Very bad experience overall. I would give zero stars.

My family and I truly had one of the best restaurant experiences of our lives. Not only was the food extremely authentic and full of flavor but also the ambience was spectacular. Best of all, however, was the service. The service was truly unprecedented as we were given individual attention and experienced genuine care from the staff and owner. They worked to make sure we got the exact meals we wanted by being so willing to substitute ingredients and accommodate to our needs. The food was also prepared in a timely manner as we did not have to wait a long period of time. My family of 6 could not recommend this restaurant more as it is truly next level Indian dining! Please give this amazing staff and owner your business—you will not be disappointed! We will definitely be regular customers :)

The preparation and the flavors are quite authentic for a restaurant in an area that is not heavily South Asian. Fantastic service, fantastic food. I'll be going back soon. Maya is the best Indian food we have had in Boca ! The preparation time is average and the meal itself is fantastic. The service has been a 10 since the doors opened. They are always right there if you need them and are very friendly and informative. We have a standing reservation there every week.

Lamb dish was very bland, even though I asked for it medium spicy - it was low on salt and bland. When I mentioned it to one of the waitresses her response was "yeah, we know you ordered it medium" and she walked away... obviously she doesn't care about customers much. Hopefully you have a better experience than me but I won't be coming back.

Fantastic new Indian restaurant in Boca! Our tastebuds were tingling from the velvety New Delhi style butter chicken to the scrumptious Jingha Malai filled with succulent shrimp! I definitely recommend Maya if you love Indian food or have never even tried it. Speak to the owner, Shiraz, and he won’t steer you wrong. Can’t wait to go back to try their very inexpensive lunch specials or for an “Indian street food” brunch on the weekend! So glad we found Maya, a new Boca gem!

Awesome is the one word. We have never been treated to such genuine indian cuisine. The staff is exceptional, from the friendly owner and smiling lady who greet you. The ambience is awesome, no jarring music, no television to distract you, just encourage the family to talk to each other. The Butter chicken is authentic and the Nizami goat curry were spot on. I highly recommend this place as Authentic Indian food (including the hospitality of the host that treat like their guests). Thank you for the wonderful evening and the great Madras Coffee to top it all.

I had the lamb kheema, duck and the chicken tikka for lunch and being an Indian chef myself, I must say it was incredible and very authentic which was prepared with a lot of passion. The interiors of restaurant is wonderful. The service was on point especially Mr. Shiraz and Mr. Moses(who made me a special cocktail not on the menu called copper cooler: it was yum!) who were very hospitable. This restaurant is not to be missed if you are either visiting or live in Boca Raton. You will definitely thank me after you have visited and eaten the scrumptious food. Fantastic a la carte! Flavors and spices were great. Papads served with mint and a sweet mango pickle were A great on-the-house welcome. The chefs special- butter malai lobster was outstanding with the Keema roti. The hyderabadi dum biriyani ordered spicy stuck the taste buds. Enjoyed the Palak daal tadka as well. Finished with a cup of payasam on the house to conclude a great meal. Excellent customer service as well. Will be back during my next trip to boca.

Wish there was an option to give negative ratings, worst Indian restaurant ever visited. Service was unimaginably bad and unprofessional to the worst possible extent. Waiters and waitresses were rude, no smile, no words, no expressions. The appetizers were not tasty at all, not worthy of the price. We ordered wedding thalis and there were many inconsistencies, one order had few items, another order didn’t have similar items/missing items. The papad were fried in old/used oil and it was smelling bad. They didn’t even offer sufficient tissues, didn’t refill the waters, all basic things were missing. Upon complaining they just patched it, no apologies no courtesy. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone, it’s full waste of your money and not worthy at all. Worst experience ever in a restaurant!!!

In the mood for some tasty delicious Indian food, my fiance and I took my friend's recommendation and tried Maya last night. We were happy we did! The place is cozy and inviting with perfect soft lighting. We were greeted promptly, warmly and seated. We started with appetizers of Kheema Olives Samosas and my honey had a bowl of Mulligatawny soup which hit the spot. Our main course consisted of Tawa Gosht, recommended by our excellent and well informed waiter, Stanley. Who was superb, attentive and knowledgeable about the restaurant and cuisine. I had the Classic Chicken Tikka masala...it was scrumptious! As if that wasn't enough, we threw in an order onion kulcha. Our bellies were happy and we had enough leftover to bring home to enjoy for lunch. Stanley and his team, gladly wrapped up our leftovers neatly in a bag. We liked this added touch. Most places hand you the styrofoam container a bag and you, the guest, wrap up. Another added touch was the delivery of a courtesy sweet little bowl of delicious rice pudding we shared. Overall, we were charmed by the ambience and the delicious food. We definitely be returning and recommend Maya. Enjoy!

We go here nearly weekly. They always greet us with a warm welcome. The staff is always friendly and accommodating to vegan dietary requests. We reccomend this place to all our friends, it never seems super busy not sure if that's good or not. I'm doing my part to tell everyone how great they are, are you? LOL :D

The ambiance is very good. But the food is very expensive for the quantity served. The taste is just ok. This was my second visit, I really liked it the first time when I went last year. I had ordered channa masala, Kashmiri dum biryani. The channa masala was not tasty. The biryani was very bland even though I had asked them to make it spicy. Not very satisfied.

We were denied to this restaurant for coming with 15 people. We called them before we went there and they said they would be open until 11:00 and they agreed to take us on phone. When we got there they didn't take us and we saw outside that they were open until 11:00 and kitchen closes at 10:30. Very disappointed at this restaurant.

Great relaxing atmosphere in a contemporary designed space. The food was fantastic! Started by sharing the Lasooni Gobi appetizer that was cooked perfectly and had a great spicy garlic sauce. After an ice cold Taji beer, we had one of the chef specials; duck in a peppercorn cream sauce. Next to that we had the Xacuti Lamb. A nice coconut sauce seasoned with a touch of clove and nutmeg. Even with two huuuuuuge tables being served next to us, the owner made sure we were happy with prompt service and smiling faces. We will definitely be going back!!
