As a Restaurateur and BIG sports fan myself I must say that I was very excited when i first came to this joint. Unfortunately the management is lacking in a very crucial way. Its a shame because this place has potential to become something great. I've come a few times since and even spoke to the owner and he really is a nice guy however a Sports bar is just not currently in his league. Beef up the menu to the point where I want to order everything on it! Get someone in the back that can both cook some great darn food and manage the kitchen. The burgers need serious help, i mean come on!! Chicken fingers were not bad but depends on the night. You need more workers. I know the over head might be high on a dead night but on a busy night you will reap your benefits and that is where you will get your dailys. Just my humble review and opinion ........Take it or leave it

Dropping the ball. My wife and I have been here 3 times before. The service was phenomenal and the food tasty. We came in tonight, and saw that clearly the one waitress there was not trained to hold down the few tables that were occupied. The wait was long, disorganized and in the end we opted to take our food to go. Even getting a bill was arduous. Seeing how disorganized the place was getting, we double checked our order. However, some of the items wrapped in silver foil, we didn't bother to open and look. Of course when we got home, we instantly realized that was a mistake as our order was wrong. The reason I gave it three stars, and not 1 (as is warranted on this last visit) Is because the first 3 visits were fully five star experiences. Note to management: We love your place and you got a great thing going. Please don't destroy it by under staffing your crew with staff that are clearly not ready to serve customers on their own yet!

Been here 4 or 5 of times, but never going back. During baseball season they were supposed to have all the games, never did. Now, during the NFL season, they have satellite and can put on all the games. They have 11 TV's. There are 8 games on between 1:00 - 4:00PM. Simple math. You put on all 8 games and keep 2 TV's for either the Giants or Jets (whichever is playing at that time period) and 1 TV for baseball (Mets or Yankees). They have been advised of this by others, but refuse to follow this advise. Instead, they only put on 4 or 5 of the games and then change the game you're watching to another game and refuse to put the game you're watching back on! Catering only to larger groups of people, who want to watch on a particular TV; the one you were watching. Really terrible. On top of the above, they are now charging an 18% tip, included in your bill, without a warning on the menu or elsewhere. That may be a violation of the law. Once, even charging the tip when the owner served me! Also, their menu is small, and they don't always have everything on it. Their beer stock is paltry and lacks variety. Better off going to the kosher sports bars in Manhattan, Teaneck or the 5 Towns. This place is pathetic. Advising all my friends to stay away.

The food is ok and the service isn't bad, but it's the best kosher sports bar around that you can find.

Yeah... NO! My husband and I came here around 630PM one night. We were hoping to get scrumptious easy food and have a nice happy hour. Well, we walk in, the restaurant is practically empty. A waitress greets us and seats us down at a table. (I'd just like to say the decor is wonderful. Ample amount of TV's, comfortable bar stools, very dive bar'ish vibe. We are given menus and water and we start scrolling. We both wanted a chili dog, and a couple other items. When she came back to take our order, we gave her the food order and then asked for the beer we wanted. She said they don't have it. So we asked for a different beer and again she said they don't have it. I think we went through 4 items (which mind you are on their list) before we gave up and just asked her for any beer they do have. She brings our beers -- which were not cold -- and we wait for our food. About 10 minutes later she comes back and tells us the kitchen only has 2 hot dogs left! Please note she said "left". The bar opens at 5 or so and there was nobody on the restaurant when we were there. How do you start your service with zero inventory? When a quarter of the menu consists of sausages. I was appalled but she said let me make it up to you. Choose something else from the menu and we'll credit you. I really wanted to leave but I figured, I'll give them one more very small chance. I ordered a schnitzel sandwich of sorts. The schnitzel was good, bun soggy, fries frozen. Yeah, you get my drift. I'll have you know that the owners child was there at the time. She must be 7 or so and she brought out our dishes from the kitchen. Although he might think it's adorable I found it hazardous and very unhygienic. We were so over it, we couldn't finish. So I ask our waitress for the check and she gladly brings it over. And would you guess what --- zero credit. Zero! The full bill right there staring at my face after a very aggravating meal. At this point I understood I would never be back here again, so I paid the bill, gave her a tip and walked out the door never to see this place again. I'm really sorry this bar lacks service, good food/beer and basic decency of how to run an establishment. There are other kosher bars who have stellar service etc. Go there.

Best buffalo wings I ever had!!. Watched football playoffs there on a busy night (place was packed) and it was awesome. Great atmosphere, fun crowd, and the food was amazing. We had a table of 10 and we tried everything. Buffalo wings, BBQ wings, sliders, and even the regular chicken cutlets were amazing. Service was impeccable. Our waitress was kind and knew her stuff. She was fast and very pleasant. This is definitely a new regular spot for me.

Nice place, good food, staff was great. Limited menu. Wasn't too noisy like some sports places tend to be.

(4 star review) The food is ok but the atmosphere is what I really enjoyed. There aren't many Glatt Kosher bars out there and this place pulls it off without being too obvious that it's kosher. Fun place to go to catch a game a quick bite and a few drinks. Will definitely come back. UPDATE: (2 star review) I have been to Halftime many many times, and in the beginning I always looked forward to going back. Now, not so much.... I really really want to like this place, but I have to lower my rating. My favorite feature about this place was it's beautiful and large bar which really set the mood of the room, but they downsized the bar to make room for more tables and the "bar atmosphere" has suffered because of it. The food has become very inconsistent to the point where every time I come, I have to wonder how the food will taste and if it will be good or not. The food does not taste the same from visit to visit. In my opinion, one of the most important things about a restaurant is consistency. Also, where before, the wait for food was reasonable, now if the place is busy, forget it. The cleanliness has gotten hit or miss as well.... Very sad considering that the owner and waitstaff are very nice people. UPDATE: (1 Star Review) This place has lost it's game.... decline in food quality, errors when bringing your order, long wait times for food even when the place is not very busy, and the cleanliness has gotten even worse. I've stuck it out for months in the hopes that things would get better, but I think I'm done. UPDATE: (2 Star Review) It looks like an effort is being made to try and improve things and it may be heading in the right direction. Although cleanliness is still an issue, there has been definite improvement. The waitress that couldn't even get a drink order right is gone and has been replaced by a more competent worker. There is still room for improvement, but if things continue in this direction, this restaurant may be able to salvage itself. UPDATE: (3 Star Review) I recently returned to Halftime, and although the place could still use a good cleaning, they are making a notable effort. They have have completely revamped their menu adding an impressive array of foods for a sports bar. This is definitely not a 5 star spot yet, but the potential has always been there if only they would up their game.

Went there at 930 with mt husband foe dinner and football. Called ahead and they said they close about 12. It was a?sliw night about 10 people, and after ppl cleared out and we finished dinner about 1045 they were putting bottles of spices and ketchup away, stacking chairs ontop of tables, sweeping, and mopping the floor with bleach that we had to smell right after eating. Very bad customer service with those ways. Its pretty much throwing you out in a non verbal way. Food was ok nothing special but they definitely should not do that while people are in tje restaurant. Most likely will bot be going there again.
