Good food and great atmosphere. Being Philly area natives, our group loved the Philly paraphenalia. Pat Croce is the owner and he is well known in Phila. Region. One member of our group worked for him for years. Only complaint--only 1 barmaid and she was pouring and serving drinks, taking and delivering food orders at the bar and cashiering. Made for slow service but not her fault.

The Ribs and their BBQ Sauce are amazing. I only got one refill? The price was outrageous $40 for two sodas ribs, fries, and a brownie. There are fans throughout the whole diner which can cool your fries off quickly. My observation is that they use their fans to keep the bugs away. The fans also cause your soft drink to become flat quickly. I had their dessert Warm Brownie with ice cream and whip cream and Hersheys hot fudge although it melted quickly. The brownie was crunchy on the outside and soft in the center. There was no toilet paper on the men’s bathroom

Have just got back from Key West and was taken here by our parents on the first night as they had been before. We were greeted promptly both times and given a choice of tables. The decor is very fitting with the building and menu, Americana with an island twist and mismatched. I was very impressed with the large selection of draft beers and for the sake of research I tried to get through as many as possible, they were excellent, kept well and served nice and cold. The food was just as good, piping hot, portion sizes were huge, and the accompanying sauces were the perfect compliment. I didn't leave wanting anymore food. The only reason I have given it 4*'s instead of 5*'s is just because the table was a bit sticky both times, had to prompt once for another drink, and took a while to get the bill the first time with some of the waiting staff stood talking between themselves, nothing major though at all! Definitely would recommend this place.

The Food Was Plentiful For The Price, Staff Was Friendly, Many TV's To Watch Sports & News. A Wonderful Atmosphere With Open Bar. Late Post. We were there in February. The food was good as always.(They Smoke it on the premise). The only complaint I had was ....the table tops, were not wiped from the previous night. We got there when they opened up at 11:30 am. This makes us wonder how clean the kitchen might be. Whatever, we'll be back anyway. Best Smoke on the Island!

This is a easy place to like: has the feel of a beach cafe in the heart of town. Duval can overwhelm at times and if you are seeking a open air laid back place with great staff and varied menus then this place is recommended. I have always been served within ten minutes of placing my order and the selections are very good and generous in proportions.

The food was great!! Everything tasted good. The service was not that great. We didn't get our appetizer until the rest of our meal came out, so the waitress didnt charge us for drinks, however it still cost us 50.00 for an appetizer, two burgers, and a children's chicken tender.

Loved it! Everything we had was amazing from the food to the drinks! I can't stop thinking about those burnt ends, best I've ever had! Basically three dining options, more casual dining in one room, a whole area for bar seating where everyone was loud but friendly and a few bistro tables on the sidewalk. Easily walkable from Rival and will definitely go again on our next trip!

We ate here two years ago and the guy working the bar had this black blotch of a tattoo that I thought looked like an outline of New York State but my wife said it was a rooster. We made a bet and while I was already eating the best ribs I’ve ever had I asked the guy what his tattoo was. Free food always tastes better!

We went in as a small family and let them know that more couples were coming. We asked for drinks and they wouldn't serve us until the others got there. THEY WERE NOT BUSY, maybe 4 other people in the restaurant side. Service was terrible at 9:00 pm and the staff acted like they didn't want to be there. Had the Macs Daddy Bowl. Brisket was good, a little dry. Pulled pork was good and so were the baked beans. ALOT OF FOOD in the bowl. Not a fan of the potato salad, but it wasn't terrible. Also had there Pulled pork BLT, its wasn't anything special but good. Prices are not bad and atmosphere could use some help due to staff. Personal wouldn't go bad but if you're a barbecue fan, it's worth a taste.

I was thrilled to find great BBQ in Key West. I love seafood too, but sometimes you need a break and these guys do BBQ right. Open atmosphere, great beer selection and homemade sauces. Plenty of TVs to watch whatever. Our server was super friendly and helpful.

I have to say I'm rating a little lower due to lack of follow through and lack of customer service. We ordered delivery of what would have been the most phenomenal burger of all times but when we received it it was lacking cheese, which was ordered and paid for. Then when we tried to call the restaurant to have the order corrected, they never answered. We must've called for an hour or so and then the next day as well, and no luck. No one ever answered the business phone.

The food was Soo good. The hostess was super nice. Our waiter on the other hand wasn't so good. We did get there 10 minutes before happy hour was the end. The hostess actually mentioned that happy hour was still happening. Our waiter comes over doesn't introduces him self just yells 2 minutes than walked away. We asked to order off the Happy Hour menu and he says it's too late. It wouldn't be too late if he didn't walk away from us. He never said what the specials were. Had the ask for water 2 times and the check 2 times. I will go back for the food. The sampler was the best way to try everything. It was huge and so flavorful. They offer 3 BBQ sauces. You need to tried the meat just by itself first. Everything was delicious. With the sampler you get brisket, ribs, pulled pork,wings. All great on their own. The sauces take them all up a nock. We will be back. However, I hope not to get the same waiter.

Hostess is so funny! At first we weren't too sure but then we caught on. Great choices on the menu - we had a bigger group and ended up sharing several appetizers and entrees and I loved them all. Drinks were great, and service was quick. There are several TVs so we were also able to watch a game on one TV and You Tube funnies on the other. Great atmosphere and great BBQ.

We just visited twice this past week and the food was delicious. I had the shrimp tacos, which ended up being the best I've ever had. Amazing! The second time, I had the fried chicken sandwich and it did not disappoint either. Wonderful! I usually do not end up eating the fries, but theirs are very good also. Will definitely go back!

We had an early dinner about 4:30 pm. I had the brisket sandwhich and my wife had the turkey sandwich. Neither of us liked our meal. It seem the meat had been under a heat lamp since morning. That was our one and only time for this restaurant.

We stopped here for dinner on our last night in Key West, and it was a great pick. The fans on the sides of the restaurant are great at keeping out flies and cooling you off, but are very strong. We chose a seat the bar so the fans wouldn't cool off our food too quickly. The bartender was very attentive and informative, and we had everything we needed. I enjoyed my brisket grilled cheese and the various selection of mustards and BBQ sauces, my husband enjoyed his burger. Can't wait to visit again, I could use another one of those sandwiches.

I happened to park right next to Charlie's, as I was planning on going to Jack Flats for dinner and some beer, but I am glad I didn't. I sat at the bar, and was served by Tim and Jodi, who are both phenomenal bartenders and very personable. Their draft beer selection is great, lots of craft and local beers. I had a burnt ends platter, which isn't typically on the menu, but was offered by Tim. The food came out in 5 minutes or so, the portions were generous, and it tasted great. The overall atmosphere is great, bar is large, and plenty of tables as well. I highly recommend Charlie Mac's to locals and travelers alike.

While in Key West there are so many great places to eat and my wife and I want to try them all, but we loved this place so much we went back for seconds the next day. Excellent, down home style BBQ that'll stick to your ribs with lots of great beer options and plenty of TVs for sports. We also went back for trivia night and had a great time then too. Stopped in recently with a ravenous appetite. Our server said the sandwiches were plenty big to split between two people, boy was he right. We got the smoked turkey blt and it was an excellent sandwich, very large , lots of turkey with fresh lettuce, tomatoes and onions with bacon on a large roll. Served with very well prepared fries that were just about perfect. We enjoyed the meal very much. I like the room as well, a very cool vibe going on. Service was excellent.

Ordered carry out from here one evening - fried pickles and fish sandwich with fries. Was there during allotted time I was given. When I got there, the restaurant was pretty empty. I stood and waited probably 10 minutes while workers wandered around on their phones and passed me by. They even helped someone who walked in the door about 5 minutes after me. I thought after he was done with that guy, he'd ring me up - nope. He left and I had to walk to the bar side to hunt someone down, because no one on the dining side seemed too concerned. My order was sitting right by the register. By the time I got home, the food was cold and soggy leaving more to be desired from the taste. I understand completely if business was busy or slammed. But it was a ghost town in there. I was super excited to try this place, given the awesome reviews, but probably won't be back.

It says barbecue and seafood on the sign and this is what I thought would be on the menu. Not the case and made for a tough decision. I seen one type of fish and this was all the seafood. I got a BBQ pork quesadilla that tasted great! My head was telling me "fresh seafood"! Enjoy!

This place is a breath of fresh air. We've been in Key West for two weeks now, and have eaten fish every day. This place has pretty damn good BBQ. We got the Mac Daddy Bowl and split it between the two of us, and let me tell you, it was plenty! The brisket and pulled pork was really good, and so was the Mac and cheese and the baked beans. We felt the chilli tasted just a touch scorched, but over all the meal was great!! And for 20 or so bucks?!?? Can't beat it! Laid back and comfortable atmosphere...and you can hold a conversation while eating to boot!! Definitely recommend checking this place out!
