Here you will be able to see all the reviews of people who bought the services of Café Rio Mexican Grill (Restaurant) in Florida area.
Nowadays this business has a rating of 4.4 out of 5 and that rating has been based on 762 reviews.
As you can see it has an average rating is very positive, and it is based on a very large number of feddbacks, so we can say that the rating is very credible. If there are many people who bothered to leave their opinion when they are pleased with the service, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to set feddbacks when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Restaurant belongs to the category of Mexican restaurant.
The place closes at ELEVEN. Not NINE. You guys are without fail putting the chairs up at 9 and have the grill and everything cleaned up at NINE. I feel guilty coming in at 9:30 bc I’m hungry. Fix the management or me and my friends are not giving you guys our business. I WANT TO BE ABLE TO SIT wherever I want in a restaurant. Not feel like I’m being herded to a section of seats. You’re going to go out of business if you keep this up. Whoever is the manager on the weekend Should be fired or pushed down to a cook. This is UNACCEPTABLE and not professional. VERY bad looks on you cafe rio.
I had a "grilled chicken burrito" tonight. The rice wasn't just undercooked, it was downright brittle! Another 15-20 minutes of cooking was needed. I had to toss it out, unfortunately. I normally like their menu.
I usually love Cafe Rio. But this place was an exception. Not very clean, rice and beans looked like they had been sitting out for 24 hours and were dry and flavorless. Employees were rude, and threw everything together haphazardly. I tried three different fountain drinks and there was no carbonation in any of them. I wouldn’t return to this location
Great place for filling food to stay and eat, or take and eat at home! Moderately priced. For one individual is anywhere from 12 to 15 bucks For your meal.
Supremely delicious. We were looking for a place to have dinner in Great Falls, tried a couple of them and both were fortunately closed. So we decided to try our luck here. And we did get lucky. The food was fantastic, the service was awesome and the ambience and decor was splendid. No wonder you got 60 awards. Keep up the good work.
So delicious as always. Been here multiple times always been good food and a cool atmosphere.
This is a great spot for food. But when you order online you get about half as much rice and beans as you do if you wait in line. Y’all know you are doing this because it happens every time.
Cafe Rio is one of my favorite places to go if I want a meal without waiting a long time. The food is consistently good, and you don't have to wait, or pay extra for a tip. If you use the App, you can save a lot of money in the form of credit towards future meals. They have deals about every week to double your points or get some special promotion. They never fail to impress!
Great wait staff, but food quality was below my (high) expectations
Super great portion size, depending on how hungry you are! Very filling and very good quality foods. However the price is very high for individuals, the burritos are about 10 dollars before any additions which is crazy for a single burrito. The line is quite long and takes a while. It's not a fast food restaurant though so long waits are expected. But other than that it's pretty great!
The drink selection is great. The shrimp tacos are tasty and the tortillas are good. There is a house ranch or some kind of creamy dressing with green bits in it, which is really good. The beans and rice are both super bland, and the chicken and beef is sweet, too sweet. Its like eating candied grilled chicken. Feels like everything in a burrito or taco is sweet. Atmosphere is good and employees keep the drink station in a clean and stocked state which is good. Will return to this establishment just a couple times a year. There are definitely many better options for Mexican fast casual.
So good!!!! Ingredients are fresh and tasty, and employees are friendly and accommodating. The enchiladas and black beans are almost too good to describe, but the word "nirvana" quickly comes to mind, they were that good as well as their mint lemonade, oh my goodness. This was our first time here, but let's just say that we can't wait to come back. The little cinnamon peppermint candies that are provided are also very welcoming and refreshing after a spicy meal.
Always fresh made. The burritos are such a satisfying portion. I was so happy to find they exist on the east coast.
This place is fast for the volume. They do a great job of keeping things clean. Every once in a while they do run out of basics.
Taco Tuesday is the best here. I always get 2 chicken tacos with lettuce, Pico, black beans and rice. $6.23 with a large fountain soda (as of July 2019). Well worth the money. So good.
Flavorful food. Really like the burrito enchilada style. Almost never a wait or never long. Mint limeade is fabulous. Staff are always generous, kind, and helpful.
Fish tacos were very fishy and dry. Very disappointing.
This was an awful experience. The guy making our nachos was very rude, threw the food in the pan and was completely annoyed that we were ordering. The place was absolutely filthy ... food everywhere on the counters. I would never recommend this restaurant.
I eat here everyday!
Good food but it's not cheap
The food portions are now smaller and they seem to get my order incorrect most of the time. They used to be 5 star in my opinion. Not anymore.
Cafe Rio is always a safe choice. I will go back.
Pork Barbacoa burrito is so good love the fresh homemade tortillas.
Really fun night out, great food, wait staff was awesome. :)
Let this be the one review that turns you away from this location. They are slow, usually get the order wrong and just aren’t very considerate. The last two times I’ve eaten at this restaurant have been extremely disappointing. The first time there was no one in the line, however it took forever to get through, my husband and I paid for our order, went to go get our drink, the soda machine was out of syrup - the coke ran white. We asked for them to fix it, and waited for 15 more minutes, and then we asked again, because at this point we really needed to leave, and they finally fixed it. We get to where we were going - and they got our order wrong. I drove all the way back, and they just said sorry
Big portions, tasty food, great atmosphere, nice staff!
Healthy Mexican food, friendly service. Waiting in line can be a little tedious, but the food is worth it.
I love the fresh tortillas.
Delish and fresh every time!

Very delicious and has amazing pico di guillo
Always busy here. No surprise as to why- good food, though the last time I went my chicken didn't get shredded so much as thrown in a clump into a tortilla. So food great, service fine.
I used to love Cafe Rio when the first came to town, but after raising the prices three times it's not what is most affordable for a college town. Still good, but not as worth the money.
Great price good food.
I don't eat a lot of Mexican food but I was very impressed with their food and service. I have already bragged about it to others.
Great place. It was clean, fast and the food was great. Great for getting a fast meal.
Very tasty
It was gross! I came from Florida almost a year ago and have not had good Mexican food since. The rice was under cooked the black beans were soupy and there was absolutely NO flavor! Their tortillas tasted like raw flour. I would not feed my worst enemy that nasty food. If I could give negative stars it would be negative 5. Worst place ever. However the employees were very kind.
Great food, good prices. It's popular for a reason!
1 burrito is a family meal.
Slow service good food
Every time we want to eat there, they are always out of grilled chicken, steak, shimp and salmon . When they advertise that they have certain items they should have them no matter what time of day or time it is. Manager should get fired. Great food if you eat before 2pm in afternoon. After that you are not going to get what's on there menu. Poorly ran by manager. Would not recommend eating there any more.
The food here at Cafe Rio is always fresh and delicious. The staff is always at least cordial if not friendly and helpful. If you come here in any amount of regularity I suggest getting their app. As you spend money you get points which is translated back into money, but the app also offers great deals every week or so.
We love Cafe Rio! The ingredients are always so fresh!
Slow service totally, way under staff. Food got really cold.
Atmosphere is always terrific. There’s a high school cherry creek high schooler who’s always super nice and a young lady that runs the register is also great. I do as many surveys as I can for them. Promote these kids!
Overrated. Not enough meat, overcooked rice, very limited on what goes into the burrito. Burrito was a disaster, fell apart as soon as I picked it up. Many health concerns. Extremely slow service and very rude staff. Will not be recommending or returning.
My family loves it and I used to but it's hard when I have a million allergies. I could only eat three items and it was very bland. but I know it is delicious for everyone else!
This was a good dining experience, we had a veggie enchilada.
My favorite Mexican place of all time. When I was pregnant I ate here all of the time. 12/10 will always love this place. I get the smothered sweet pulled pork burrito with there white habenero sauce. Im a spice wimp and it's not spicy.
Their pork is incredible. I like their salads too. The staff typically is very friendly and I always ask for half and half black and pinto beans. I love asking for their salad ranch which is so bomb.
Food is decent, but service is horrible. Do not bother ordering online, you are treated like second class citizens. Ordered my food an hour ago online, came in to pick up food, and was told to wait. People who walk in after I paid for my food are sitting down to eat, while I wait. The point of ordering online and being asked to give 45 minutes is precisely so that I don't have to wait 30 minutes to eat.
worst service of my life. They’re always rude. It’s not just after one time that I’ve decided I hate coming to this one. I’ve come here several times because I wanted to be fair and give them a fair chance. it is like this everytime. And everytime anyone of my friends or family comes to this one. They say the same thing. It’s such a disappointment. we’ve experienced things from attitude (eyes being rolled) being given when being asked to leave out a specific ingredient to completely ignoring our requests. It’s pathetic.
Usually a great experience. However, at least 3 different times I've gotten ready to order and they are out of Roast beef. Disappointing when you can't get what you came in for.
GO TO CAFE MEXICALI! Same food but way better and is the original recipes. Worst customer service experience I have ever been apart of. We placed a group order online for pick up. When my coworker got back with the food we discovered we were missing an entire meal and one of the other meals was missing a taco. We called and were told (in a short and rude tone) we would need to come in to correct the problem, which was not possible for any of us since we had appointments and surgeries starting back up. Which also meant one of our Doctors did not get to eat. When I finally was able to drive down (an additional 10 minutes south, adding 20 minutes to my already 45 minute commute) the Manager was completely indifferent that a customer did not get a meal and asked if I wanted to order one at that moment (are you kidding me?) which I calmly and politely replied "no" to, I just want to be refunded. He agreed he would refund the money of the meal we did not get (well no sh** Sherklock) and explained that the tacos were a special so it only came with one, despite the photo clearly showing two tacos when you order and no other description (that's called bait and switch) so they did not owe us anything for that meal. I, nor my teammates will ever give them business again. Instead we will place our orders with Cafe Mexicali (Rio left Mexicali to start the chain) which has phenomenal food and quality service, oh and it's right down the road. Bottom line, don't waste your time here, go to Cafe Mexicali.
Cut back to three stars. For some reason the one in Saratoga Springs is not doing well. The food has been off, dry, and tastes like its been the in the bins much longer than it should be. No longer tastes fresh. The help doesn't seem very friendly anymore either. The last two to three visits have not been good. I hope it gets better, but it will be a while before we go back.
I normally get the Salad here. It's big enough for two meals and very good. They have a special every day of the week. Tuesday is popular since the deal is on Burritos/Salads. The staff are always very nice and helpful.
I love the food here, and the beverage bar is great. But, none of the people I go out to eat with will eat here because it smells like chemicals from Harbor Freight next door. I can smell it, but two of my friends have particularly sensitive noses and just won't eat there. Really wish they could get that solved, but it'd probably involve extending the wall between the stores all the way to the roof, or adding some positive pressure venting from the restaurant.
Pretty good Utah-Mex. The spiciest they have doesn't have much of a kick. If you want spicy Mexican food, keep looking.
Food was ok. Didn't like the tacos as much as their other items.
Amazing tortillas and approachable atmosphere. My rice was undercooked and the service wasnt very pleasant.
Can't get enough. Help me pleaseeeee!!
Fast service, good food, fair price. Mint Limeade is delicious and so is the Horchata! Got the lunch special (2 enchiladas, beans and rice, plus a drink) for $8. Seating inside is a little limited, but most people don't tend to hang around after eating.
Good food but little fie gluten free and it can be hard to when it gets too busy
I never write reviews, but I felt very ignored at this store and like the employees didnt care. The food is always really good but the last time I mobile ordered, my food wasnt ready 15 minutes after the set time and the store was dead, if …
Yum yum. The tacos are wonderful. The tortillas are really good also.
Great food. Nice service.
Great food. A little loud in there, hard to have a conversation. Definitely worth it though
Always amazing food. Polite and courteous wait staff and reasonable prices. Almost the #1 place to eat in the valley.
Good quality fast food. Whole beans and whole wheat tortillas available. Good selections of drinks, but they take the soda fountain apart about an hour before closing. Otherwise, a good healthy choice.
I go to Cafe Rio every Tuesday for tasty Tuesday. The food is pretty dang good! Comparable to Cafe Mexicali but instead of the white cream sauce, they have a special ranch sauce. The best thing to get in my opinion is the sweet pork burrito.
Do not eat here!! I have been eating here by force the last 2 weeks due to car in the shop. The wait staff is always rushing you through the line. They charge you for any extra sides you may want on your taco. I mean everything even down to cheese and hot sauce. What a rip off. My one taco cost over$10.00. I will walk a little further from now on for lunch. Bye bye Cafe Rio.
This is hands down the best cafe Rio in Utah. The burrito is filled with meat and is spaced evenly throughout the burrito. Empty plate after my meal
Great place for filling food to stay and eat, or take and eat at home! Moderately priced. For one individual is anywhere from 12 to 15 bucks For your meal.
Better than the Draper location! - They seem to have a consistent problem keeping the napkins stocked and sometimes seem understaffed in the lobby. Other than that they're clean, pleasant, and the food is good. I've not really had a bad experience with Cafe Rio food at any location. For the most part it's really good. So good in fact that I find myself craving it often. But the management is becoming an issue at various locations so I find myself with a conundrum - how do I satisfy my craving for this amazing food while justifying the atmosphere and mode of delivery? At some point my addiction is going to lose out to my common sense and I'll finally stop going all together unless the management figures out how to step it up.
Awesome food, what else can I say. My family loves it.
Good food but hard to pay so much for lunch, great atmosphere though and great flavors.
I've always loved the food here, but I was not impressed with the service tonight. They weren't very good at keeping my family's orders straight. They didn't give me beans and rice at all (which was supposed to be part of my order). They ran out of rice. They had no horchata. Kinda bummed about the whole experience.
They skimp on the meat. Also, it seems like they have enough prep workers to take the cilantro off the stem.
Not too bad, nothing special. Nothing wowed me. The queso was pretty good, but after awhile it started tasting very sweet like there secret ingredient was sugar lol. I might get food from here again, we’ll see.
If you like so much sauce that it turns your food into a soup, go here. If you also enjoy so much grease that it turns your tortilla into a soupy mess that resembles wet toilet paper, go here. I’ve had it twice and both times were exactly the same; who needs 2 ladles of sauce? Even when you say not much sauce they put an entire ladle on it; ruined. The food isn’t good and it’s sauced out of control to hide it. Don’t forget to ask for extra tortillas at the start of the line or you’ll get sass from the worker at the end of the line who expects you to know that it’s not his/her job nor his/her problem. Do you like drinking your meal? Do you like HUGE portions that have an insane amount of sauce and grease that you’ll feel as if you’re on the verge of death after your meal? Well, you’re going to absolutely love this place. GL
I'm hooked on the pulled pork salad!
Food was good, one of the employees decided to light up a smoke 3 feet from my table though.
Great food ..awesome staff..
Very good food a little pricey, but worth it
Grate food for a good price friendly and fast
Great flavor. They have been struggling for a while, but now under new management the restaurant is thriving. I love the food, love the atmosphere, and love thrint lemonade.
Its cafe Rio, what's not to love....
Not exactly the setting I was looking for on Cinco do Mayo (no margaritas), but good food and quick, polite staff.
Cafe Rio is great!!! This location is right next to a college campus so I imagine it gets some traffic. There was a little line wh n we got there but got our food very fast! Efficient staff and great food!! You haven't dissapointed me!
Was unpleasantly surprised when I took a bite of my pork nachos. Pork was sweet. Tasted like barbeque pork not carnitas. Im from Texas so maybe they have a taste for that up here but I couldn't eat it. Disgusting.
No flavor! Just good looking plates! Like most commercials! First and last time here!
Always a great salad!!
The meat was a little too salty. Staff friendly and engaging. Very clean..
Food was fine like most Cafe Rio locations (although the tortilla in the salad we ordered was obviously old and way too crunchy, because they gave us an old one that had been on the burner too long), but service here was terrible. Very slow, multiple employees confusing orders, no urgency in moving the line... either all the employees here are new or they are not trained well.
So good. Just fresh Tex Mex. You won't be sorry getting anything on the menu. My favorite is the pork burrito, enchilada style. Looking for something lighter, the fish tacos are amazing. Great selection of Mexican lemonades and orchata.
Great food. Can be a bit expensive if you're looking for somewhere to take the whole family but the food is worth it. If you like hot sauces they have plenty to choose from.
The Pork Barbacoa Burrito is AMAZING
I don’t believe one should have to scoop their meal out from the bottom of the bag. This is the second time I’ve ordered Togo and I had a long wait time and most importantly my food was all over the bottom of the bag. They hardly tighten the lid, hardly is an understatement. It seem like like only tightened a corner of my container.
The food is so good and everyone on staff goes out of their way to make service excellent. Awesome service. This is my new favorite place.
Tasty Tuesday is an awesome deal! Wish they would add a vegetarian protein in addition to beans but it is delicious either way.
The worst experience time and time again. I have learned my lesson. It only took 5 visits.
The food is ok. I ordered a vegetarian burrito, and there are no vegetables, other than salsa and lettuce. Reusable cutlery and plate ware would be nice, but everything is disposable, and there is no recycling. The prices were reasonable for what we got.
It has the best queso so I've ever had!
Great lunch buffet though not cheap at $10.99 & no beverage.
Great food at a reasonable price. We eat here regularly as a family and have had only good experiences.
Fast food by name but true real food and you cannot go wrong with a large burrito
Gross. Kitchen area was dirty, crew was rude and the food was cold
The food is good, most of the staff seems good, but there's a guy working on the weekends who seems like he can't be bothered to do his job correctly. He might be the manager or assistant manager, I don't know. Of the 5 or 6 times I've been a customer, I've seen him twice. Both times, he didn't bother to let the cheese melt on the nachos I ordered. He literally reached into the oven and yanked the nachos off the conveyor belt before they were fully heated up, saving him 10 whole seconds. I don't mind paying 10 bucks for a plate of nachos, if they're done correctly. But I felt ripped off the last couple of times. I'm on the fence about returning as a customer. The rest of the staff has been courteous and the food is good when prepared properly.
I love cafe rio! It is a great place to go for fresh fast Mexican food. The sweet pork is to die for!
I love the sweet pork burrito & my wife loves the salad. Its easily enough food that you can save half of it for lunch the next day.
The meals were good, but there was a lot of salt in everything. I liked the freshness of everything.
Yummm
Worst place I've been to in a very long time. I cant even tell you how bad it was. Never go here.
One of our favorite places to eat. Cafe style walk up and order as they prepare your food. Most popular menu items are smothered burritos and the sweet pork salad. The tomatillo ranch dressing is amazing.
The food is really good and you can't beat the price. It does seem like there isn't a manager and everyone is new. But hey, the food is great!! I had two youbg boys who agree and could care less about the staff.
I LOVE Cafe Rio. They are so fast and thorough every time. (The pulled pork burrito is delicious)
Kids free quesadillas? How can you go wrong? I love that you can watch your food as it's made from fresh ingredients. The food is good, but doesn't have a lot of "flavor". Slightly over priced, but the free quesadillas for kids help make up for it.
I don't know if I am just spoiled with authentic mexican food or if it was really as bad as I think it was. The people are friendly and they do get your order right. But as far as food, I'll just go to Qudoba or Chipotle.
really great wheat tacos here
Much more pricy then Costa Vida. Food tasted good... Friendly staff.
Good food fast and friendly service.
Great food. Fun atmosphere.
Yum! :-) Salad is the best, but can't go wrong with a quesadilla. Just make sure to get the tomatillo dressing on the side too.
Great fresh Mexican food! Healthy, farm fresh ingredients. Taco Tuesday is a great deal and fun night.
Satisfying a hungry spot
We love Cafe Rio! This particular one is clean and well kept. Bathrooms are always clean and nice. Food has been amazing. They do have a staff member or two that are ready to get you through the line and on your way, but for the most part, it's a good eating experience.
The food was delicious, but the restaurant was a little rough and needed to be cleaned.
This is one of my favorite places to eat. I go often and I know that some of the staff has been working there for years, so they are good at what they do. Often times, they recognize us and even remember what we usually order. It sometimes gets a little sloppy when the place is slammed, but seeing as how I have worked in restaurants or kitchens my entire adult life, I understand and choose not to judge harshly. I always have a good experience and am treated with respect by staff, especially when I give it to them.
Good food just hard to hear and understand some of the staff.
We eat here almost once a week. Super great fresh food. The tortillas are fantastic. My order was messed up and we didn't realize until we got home. I told them the next time we were in there and they ended up giving me a free meal and drink. Very kind people! Also kids can get a free Nino Quesadilla with orange slices for free. My kids love them!
Love the food! They are quick. They are in between fast food and sit down restaurants, and the price reflects that. Not too cheap, but not too pricey.
Love their taco salad. Best prices in town on Taco Tuesday!
Fresh and delicious!
Sweet Pork Barbacoa burrito is so good, I love the fresh homemade tortillas made here.
Fast service, good food but the new high school kids they hired for the weekdays are struggling! So many new people and they can't quite do the job right. Loved all the other people who used to work there
Beats Chipotle and Qdoba. Enchilada style burritos with good grilled chicken. Lots of hot sauce options to choose from.
I came in Sunday afternoon with my boyfriend to get some lunch--we love the tostadas and salads (the sweet pork is delicious, and we love the fresh ingredients). After our experience in line, we were pretty dissatisfied with how unfriendly the staff was. The gal who took our order seemed unhappy to be there and even complained about having to work 12 hours (something that we've heard from the employees nearly every time we've been in). I totally understand how hard it can be to work long shifts like that (I've done traveling training--those 80 hour weeks are no joke), but something must be wrong if the staff is ALWAYS in a bad mood. It should be noted that the cashier handed one of the line servers cash, which they then accepted with gloved hands. I've managed at a few food service establishments locally, and am certified with an Idaho Food Handler's Permit--so this was a bit shocking to see. I hope that a manger sees this so that they can address this with the staff ASAP. The portions are also super inconsistent (sometimes you get a salad with little to no lettuce, and other times your quesadilla is all chicken and no cheese). It should also be mentioned that the lobby is always super dirty, and I can't think of one time where I've seen someone out there cleaning tables. I hope things change soon, because I honestly love a good tostada after floating the river and don't want to go to Costa Vida (their house sauce can not compare).
Sunday fedeio is my favorite
This place sucks. I asked for a double of rice instead of beans and they put a teny tiny spoon instead of a normal portion. And because they were “in a hurry” as well they messed up my order and put thing so told them not to put At the end it happened to be more expensive than the actual price Anyways, I’m really upset and I will tell my friends and family not to go there anymore
The salads are huge and really tasty!
Love Thursdays 1.99 tacos
The food was super good, the little quesadilla for kiddos was perfect size for my little man. Everyone was very friendly, they even gave my son a dough ball to play with which he loved, and the apmasphere was great! Military mondays is a wonderful deal!
Everything you would expect from a Cafe Rio. Delicious. Fresh. Filling. The dinner is the desert. But don't overlook the tres leches.
Good food at decent prices and large portions
Best food ever. Great service. Clean place.
Great food and friendly staff
Very nice location, and is a nice hotspot to meet with lots of people.
Way to expensive for a soggy burrito that honestly is very bland.
One of the best restaurants in sweetwater county fresh food and very good service!!
The staff was not knowledgeable about ingredients or allergenics. It appears no one had cleaning duty for the day. Food was less than appetizing.
I have missed Cafe Rio. We don't have them in my area. Every bit as good as I remember
Pleasant atmosphere
Attentive customer service. Great USDA Steak. Enchalada style is the way to go. Easy take home tins built in.
My girlfriend likes it a lot I just drive her there
Good food and good service
Love the barbacoa taco salad! Amazing food made fresh and delicious. I'm in love with the cilantro lime dressing.
Their pork salad is so yummy! Highly recommended.
Loved the food and low key atmosphere. Steak quesadilla! Super. I'll be coming back, great place for a family. Don't forget to tip the experts that make your food. :)
Seems to be a new crew. Taco meat was very watery made the shells too soggy and portion seemed smaller. Disappointed.
Always delicious. Very much enjoy the freshness.
You get lots of good food for the money..
Maybe doesn’t deserve the 1 Star because the food is pretty consistent with any other cafe rio, but they have terrible service! I ordered online it didn’t go through so I waited 25 minutes they didn’t have black beans and I paid 6 bucks for chips and queso with the queso cup barely filled 1/4 full with bottom of the container cheese.
My biggest problem with Cafe Rio is their inconsistency. Their quality of food usually isn’t the issue but when half decent food is the only good thing, it’s time to find a new place. There is one lady who works here who is consistently very nice and friendly to everyone but for everyone else it depends on the day. Today I waited in like for 20 minutes for the people making my food to completely ignore me. Their portion sizes vary so much that I would go once and get a decent meal and the next time get half the portion of the same meal for the same price. Their prices are also more inconsistent then anywhere I’ve ever been before. I order the exact same thing every time I go and the price ranges usually from $9 and change to $10 and change but today my total was $13 and change. That’s a $4 price difference from low to high for the exact same order! I will not be going back.
Fresh food, quick service.
Great food as always.
Food is always great. Staff is usually great, but have run into a couple who must really not be happy in their work
Expensive for the amount of food. I was surprised how little beef I received. I spent $18 for entree, app (chips, salsa and guac) and drink...for one person. I still was hungry when I got home. I pay less at Qdoba for a meal and get more food...and am full! A Big City Burrito burrito for $8 can cover breakfast and lunch. The food was good, I will give them that, but not so great to outweigh the cost. There were only a few tables occupied for a Friday night. If they were more generous with their portions, this would have been a better review. Giving 2 stars for good flavor. I wont be back though.
Great fast food/ sit-down Mexican
Was great food, but the line wasn't very long and it took awhile until we were able to order. Other than that great experience.
Amazing food! Fresh made everyday! Phenomenal Ranch Dressing (best in the world) and incredible management! Such a gem to have this restaurant in Missoula!
Freaking love Cafe Rio. They do a student taco special here.
The plates are big, and prices are good. Food is fresh and staff is friendly.
Cafe Rio has amazing food and the service was quick
Ron had the nachos and I had a vegetarian burrito. They were both great.
Love this place! I am so glad we have one in Rexburg now! The food is great but not authentic mexican so you need to have proper expectations. Always get the house dressing with anything you order! It's amazing!
Always great always busy. Fast paced though. Pretty much everything is great
We were passing thru town, and stopped to eat here. They were really busy, and an employee named Aria really helped us, and took care of everybody in the restaurant. We thought she was a great manager - and it turns out she was only a cashier. She took care of anybody and everybody. Anything that ran out, she refilled. Any food order mistakes, she fixed. It wasn't just us - it was for everybody. This is now our new favorite place to eat, because of the service by an employee who went the extra mile. Great food, great service. They should make her a manager!
Love cafe Rio! Besides having to wait for 20 -30 minutes I have no complaints!
Great service and food! Best Horchata
The food was great but the customer service was terrible... They asked if i wanted cheese and i said no and they said "ok, whatever" and laughed at me.. Honestly broke my heart, why the hell would someone laugh at another person who can't have dairy!
So here’s the deal Been a customer of Café Rio for over 15 years . But this was the First time I tried this one in Pocatello. My husband is gluten intolerant. So he ordered nachos with grilled chicken. There was not enough food to cover up the nachos, And if that was the worst of the offenses it would’ve been OK.. I ordered shredded beef burrito inch a lot of style . When I got my burrito it was pulled pork, When I told them ,they made me wait in line again. And when I got to the girl who made my Barito she actually argued with me. Told me I ordered pulled pork. I do not like pulled pork, I don’t like pork at all . They fixed my burrito and I got really happy I was excited to get to eat my shredded beef burrito. When I got a bite the rice was raw. I was so disappointed. My has been try to get the young ladies attention who was emptying the trash. She would not acknowledge my husband at all. so he went to the manager got Half the money back .Even though he ate his nachos we still ended up going. To panda express very disappointed .
Kinda silly that when I place an order 45 minuets before I pick up it's still not ready... it's only a tuesday night...not that busy either. It's a stupid corporate policy I'm sure. Ridiculous.
I absolutely love Cafe Rio! Every time I go in am pleased! 5 stars Price, portions, taste, freshness, clean and nice employees! Great rewards app also. Highly recommended.
Always great food. Everything is fresh
Love, Love, LOVE Cafe Rio. Sweet pork barbacoa is the best. Friendly staff. Clean facility & restrooms. Lots of choices for drink options.
Always the best food. But Prices have gone up. Overpriced now. Only go occasionally.
Great employees they were all super nice and they were able to get everyone through quickly.
I love their pork salads and burritos
Good service
Cafe Rio is one of my favorite places to go if I want a meal without waiting a long time. The food is consistently good, and you don't have to wait, or pay extra for a tip. If you use the App, you can save a lot of money in the form of credit towards future meals. They have deals about every week to double your points or get some special promotion. They never fail to impress!
The food is good. Sometimes bad customer service but ... the food is good!
Poor portion control. Had to ask for extra everything in order to get a regular sized burrito.
Nice to have healthy options. Can do vegan/vegetarian too
Good food and good service! Plus free dessert if you fill out a survey.
Chicken salad with tortilla on bottom they only way i have salads now
First time at a Cafe Rio despite being a big burrito fan. The house-made burrito shells alone are worth coming again for, as were the fresh marinated meats. I got a grilled chicken burrito and my friend got the taco salad. Both were impressively big and filling. Drink selection was decent and the horchata was solid, though a flavor was out for the entire duration we were there. Salsa selection was also a bit lacking, especially compared to California Tortilla or even Moe's, but better than Qdoba or Chipotle. The commercial salsa options were limited, but good picks despite that. Cost was higher than those other 4 burrito joints I mentioned, but imo worth it for the tortillas and grilled meat.
Awesome food, friendly staff.
The food was fresh and delicious.
Fish tacos are the best---but tried the steak tacos today and they were very good.
Great Cafe Rio style food. But it wasn't very clean.
The food is good but the store seemed dirty and the bathrooms didn't have any soap.
Love the Food. Their sweet pork taco salad is to die for. Along with their tres leche cake. Love how they even have horchata. It is always busy because it is good food. Could use a little more seating but I will take what i can get. Good Staff too!
Off night??? We usually love this place. Service was very slow, it was like there was no one in charge. Food was ok. My guacamole was black. My quesadilla had a ton of meat, which is usually a plus, but it was just too much. They kept running out of items on the line and would ask for things one by one, stopping the line every time. I hope this was just an off night and next time we go we can give them 5 stars.
This is the slowest cafe rio I've ever been to. Food was still pretty good though.
Good food abd free quesodillas for kids. I wish they offered refried beans instead of black or pinto like costa Vida does but still great food and hefty portions.
Sweet pork quesadilla is always on point.
Their food is so good and is reasonably priced. We especially love the horchata!
Taco Tuesday my favorite day of the week
Always sold, in house fresh made tortillas, excellent shrimp tacos!
We love the Sweet Pork Barbacoa, and the flavor shots you can add to your drinks. Mmmmmm!
I always love their food. When I get a burrito (which is every time) I like to get double rice and no beans. It is really good.
Pretty quick service good for the price
this stuff cost way too much they charge you an extra dollar if the meat is grilled an extra dollar if you put cheese and have no grilled veggies or anything really AT ALL... Qudoba is the place to go it cost less it’s really good quality food and they don’t charge you extra for EVERY SINGLE THING. GO TO QUDOBA this is a WASTE of your money
Great food...enchiladas and the salad. Yum. Very friendly and clean
Very bad.hated the food not done to please the costumers. The menu on the wall ... don't even bother...they don't have what is there. Never again. Dirty place.
Delicious fresh Mexican- American cuisine! Very fresh and yummy ingredients, and homemade tasting tortillas made my visit stand out from other similar places.
Waiting in line for over 20 minutes before leaving for another restaurant. Not the restaurant's fault by any means.
Food is kind of messily thrown together, but it's absolutely delicious. The staff was fast and courteous, and the tables were pretty clean for the amount of people there. Mint lemonade is always out though :(
This place is wonderful. Great food and amazing people!
High quality ingredients and great service. Simple menu with fast turn around time. Very clean restaurant.
It's all good!
It's not REAL Mexican, but it's good. It's kind of Subway style, but with Tex-Mex food. This place REALLY needs to offer Mexican beer and margaritas, then it would be perfect.
Their Tuesday special is amazing. Juan is always super happy to be there and I appreciate that! Always fresh and super tasty. I love a sweet pork salad with their house dressing. Also their steak or grilled chicken quesadillas are on point. Fresh tortilla's is the icing on the cake.
I simply ordered a chicken taco and barely had any chicken! Chicken is cheap! Put some meat on there!
As always, food was outstanding. Staff members awesome. One even contributed cash as i had misplaced my debit card and did not have enough cash to cover my meal. Consistent food and service in 3 locations that are not close to each other
Hooray taco Tuesday!
The food is fresh and delicious! They have the best queso dip in the area!
They were flooded with customers from our massive church event and the staff all stayed extremely kind and worked as hard as possible to feed us all wonderful food. Definitely a great first time.
Went for tres leches. To die for. Pork Barbacoa is totally delish! The house dressing is the best! I haven't had anything that I haven't liked at any Cafe Rio.
Love this place. Good, fresh, fast casual dining. A step above Taco Bell. More selections than Chipotle and I'm torn between Cafe Rio or Qdoba for my favorite. Both are good every time
Good food and plenty of it.
Always good food whenever I go
so fresh all the time
Good as always.
I would recommend the chicken.
I would give them 1-star to help reduce the line when I'm starving for Cafe Rio, but that would be disrespectful to the business. Honestly a really good place for a good price. The sweet pork burrito with the hot sauce (not that hot) is the best!
Not impressed by this Cafe Rio at all. Typically I love the food and am impressed by the employees, but this store was terrible. The lady who was making our food looked angry and like she was not happy to be working at all. She asked if I wanted all the toppings on my tacos and before I could answer to tell her I didn't want lettuce it was already on top of my tacos. The food was okay. Chips and Salsa weren't up to par and their beans and rice were cold. They bathrooms here were awful as well. Went into the bathroom and there was urine all over the floor, an unflushed toilet, and a broken soap dispenser that was just sitting on top of the paper towel dispenser. This restaurant did not live it up the standards I have set for Cafe Rio and I will not be returning to this location in the future.
Always amazing!!! I love the pork burrito {enchilada style of course} and the red sauce- it’s called the hot sauce but it’s actually less spicy than the green— and I love the steak salad with the vinaigrette dressing. Mouth is watering as I type this...
Ok Mexican food. Good service. Kinda spendy.
Great American Mexican food! Great service! It can get a little busy as it is next to campus but you can order online and pick up. They do a great job putting all the food together and making sure u have everything u need. Utensils, multiple orders labeled, items on the side, etc.
Always have loved cafe Rio no matter where, but this crew shines as an example to all others, working fast and being friendly through every step of service.
My favorite is to get the pork in a burrito. Rice usually crunchy.
Zero stars servers don't seem to care much about customers they just rush your tray along to get to the next order and out of the way. I waited in line for 30min with 5 children. Annoyed I was by their rudeness I noticed immediately who the manager was by the smirk he gave when he just splashed the extra ingredients I wanted and how he was rushing the servers. I should've waited till the cafe Rio in west bountiful their much nicer and professional.
The prep line is always super dirty and this last time I went I got food poisoning. Portions are always inconsistent as well. ( 2 days ago)
Nice atmosphere
Good food. Great drink selection. Good prices. Great place to eat outside on a nice day.
Best horchata in town hands down And the management is awesome!!!!
Really quick service. Employees seem stressed out but they work hard.
Can't go wrong with the sweet pork! Love the daily specials too. Tamales are great. Highly recommend the sweet pork enchiladas
Great food, great portions and a great atmosphere
Quality has gone down since last visit, service still very slow, but over all, my pork tacos wtw still tasty.
Yummy food!
Usually the service is quick, however this last time it took over an hour to get through the line, ordered and leave.
Tasty food a little pricey though
It’s one thing to get bad service on a Sunday night. Be served cold food and have teenage employees careless. Then when you call on a Monday and the manager is too good to get on the phone and directs an employee to field his calls, the place won’t last long ! BAD MANAGEMENT !
It's good
Giant servings of tasty food and a full atmosphere.
I found this place after looking for restaurant similar to Costa Vida just to find out there's beef between the two companies. However, the food was great and you can definitely tell the ingredients are fresh. The queso actually hardens like real cheese. Definitely will be back, it didn't disappoint and it's better than all those other burrito places. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is I did have to wait a while to order my food (there was only 1 person in front of me) and I wish the tortilla was warmed on the stove before hand like it's supposed to. The employees were all nice and ALLEN was especially helpful.
Keep going back for more! Love Taco Tuesday!
Yummy. Like every other cafe rio
I am glad there is an option for Chipotle(which is decent), but Cafe Rio is the freshest you can find around. Is a joy to eat super fresh food and the options are great.
This place is always fantastic! Great service, especially the young lady that works there who's name is Hali, she is why we keep coming back!
My past couple visit have been somewhat frustrating. I like to get some of their house dressing on my tacos and they always try to put it on the side in order for them to be able to charge me. So I always ask them to put them on my taco. my last visit for this one the young woman put it on the side and I told her I didn't want to pay for it and she told me that I don't have to pay for it and that it's free. so my issue is that I go in today and get my usual and ask for the dressing on the side and they charge me a dollar for the dressing. Like wth? I'm confused. Do y'all or don't y'all charge for the damn dressing?
Good burrito, lines seem shorter compared to most Cafe Rios.
The tres leches cake might be the best that I've ever had! My family loves this place!
Sometimes have bad wait but really good service
Food was good, dining area was dirty and messy. It was quite at the time only us and and another couple there. Almost all tables were dirty. Trash cans full etc.
I love eating here! My favorite thing to get is a sweet pork salad with extra sweet pork! Yum!
Lets be real here, every cafe rio is amazing and I wish I could review them all, but one will have to do. Their food is delicious! I can get everything on the menu and like it which is crazy for me because I usually end up defaulting to one thing at restaurants! It's not too expensive which is great and you can have them make your meal the way you like it because they make it right in front of you! We always take people here from out of town and they always want to go back for more! Great place!
Manager on duty tonight was amazing! And the food is always great!
I really like Cafe Rio but, we didn't have a good experience. It was really bad. We ordered online and I was really dissatisfied. It said the kids meal came with an orange, it didn't. The fish tacos were 90 percent lettuce, fish was super dry, and there wasn't any cheese or sauce. And one came with the longest cilantro stalk I've ever seen. That same one had rice that wasn't cooked all the way. The quesadillas weren't cut and were missing sides. The online menu was really confusing. It gave options for no guac, sour cream etc. And then options for on the side guac, on the side sour cream etc. We choose on the side so everything came in a small plastic container which was fine cause but one had sour cream in a cup, the other just had a tiny bit on top of the lettuce. Only one had a tiny bit of guacamole also just on the lettuce. We also weren't given any drinks. The person who picked it up wasn't the one who ordered so they didn't know, but the employee should have given the drinks that were ordered and paid for. And the person picking it up asked if it was everything so they should have made sure they gave us everything.
Food was average, service was good
The food is pretty good and they have some unique drinks. However, the price is a little high. They do have specials on certain days. I will return and try some of the specials.
Not very good. I would prefer chipotle anytime
My first time here and the service wasn’t great. The cashier told me I couldn’t have a fork and napkin for my take out order because “it’s only for online orders”. It’s the little things that make or break customer experiences guys. I hope you learn that in order to evolve the business.
Delicious and well priced. Taco Tuesday is the best.
American Mexican food. Gringos style and a tad salty!
Fantastic food and different taste than other fast casual Mexican style restaurants around. Great drink choices with only one negative - seating. Managers are stating that a fix is coming but the table squatting is high at lunch so you may have to enjoy your meal on the outside patio.
I didnt actually go i just waited there
I am Mexican,.and I can say their food it is fast and quite authentic. The salsas are so good. I like the fact that everything is so fresh. They offer wheat tortilla a healthy option for me. I enjoy the way they prepared the meat. I enjoy coming to eat here. Clean, fresh ingredients, fast service, reasonable price and authentic Mexican food. Ahh nd they offer free quesadilla for little kids. My family that came.to visit loved it. What's not to like?
Cafe Rio is my favorite place to go out to. They give you just what you want exactly how you want it. The workers there are very nice and helpful and always give great service, there was a little wait time but it goes fast. The tables and seats were a little messy, but they clean them good. My favorite thing to get is the Pork Burrito for its genuine delicious pork and tortillas, it always makes my mouth water. The food looks great and the quality of it is top of the line. At Cafe Rio there is something for everyone, they even have kids quesadillas. There are many places you can go where Cafe Rio is there. Its the perfect place to hang out with family or friends. I give Cafe Rio 5 stars for being great.
So delicious and the tres leches cake is amazing, also I love that they have horchata!
Staff is incompetent and disappointing. Chicken was dry and tasted burnt. Entire experience was bad. Will not be back - Moes or Chipotle are a thousand times better.
Great food, fresh and yummy!
Not awful but not very genuine either. It tasted kind of sweet and sugary to me. I wish I'd gone to a taco truck down the street instead.
I love all your burritos that aren't hot there delicioso
I ordered Thursdays Special, 2 Sweet Barbacoa Tamales, smothered with a side of beans and rice. Superb! Great flavor, love their black beans, and great price, meal plus a beverage for $7.59.
They have amazing tacos, a variety of different Mexican food items, and they have a nice design. They also have a soda fountain with different flavor bottles to the side of it so you can make your drinks unique.
I wanted to order Fajitas, but the veggies were not ready yet. I ordered tostadas with steak instead, which was loaded with all the good healthy stuff. The amount of food was enough for two meals, in my opinion. It’s great that they make it easy for people to take leftover home — just ask for a plastic cover for the tin foil bowl and you are good to go!
I was impressed how good the food and portions were!
Love the customer service was lacking
Fresh and delicious!
The server cleaned something, did not change her gloves, and touched our food. Nasty.
Best place to eat in WYO.
They only get the orders right half the time but the food is good
I rated this a 1 star but if I could give it a 0 I would. It never fails that when I go to this restaurant they are out of something. Most times it is steak, but today it was chicken, steak and black beans. Very poorly managed.
As busy as they were, the line moved quickly. The food, as always, was delicious.
This place is a joke! I don’t even know where to start. They have great food and a ridiculously friendly staff. Get this, I was asked how my day was and they actually listened to what I had to say. At no point did they display any attitude or frustration with the fact I didn’t know the menu. If you are looking for a typical experience steer clear.
Even when this place is packed completely to the door, the line moves quite quickly. The staff are really nice. I was with someone that has to have gluten free food, they were super accommodating. Changed their gloves and made sure her food was handled with care. The nachos are the bomb and their tacos are pretty great too.
Sweet pork Salad and quesadillas are the best!
I've been a loyal Cafe Rio customer for over 20 years, since their first store in St. George. They are definitely not on their A-game today. We found woody lettuce cores & avacado stems in our food. There are no limes to be had after multiple requests & the employees don't really care. Disappointing in light of their (usually) good food & decent service. Update: REDEMPTION! An employee just brought some fresh-cut limes & apologized for the delay. Kind gesture, much appreciated. Upgraded to 4 stars.
Well...I cannot complain about the taste of the food. I thought it was great. But a few of the people behind the counter...seemed to be in a place and at a job they hated. Fair enough. But it telegraphed through. Kinda loud there too as if they have blowers going. But in the end the food was put into bowls and the food was eaten and enjoyed. I would eat there again.
Fast and great quality. They are a bit spendy but decent food. House sauce is a hidden gem. Recommend on everything.
They food is good, great chips and the pork Barbados is great. However DO NOT DO TAKE OUT. I've consistently had issues. Expect to wait 30 minutes longer than the expected time. It's faster to just get in line usually. One time I was early and there was no line, not a single customer, and they refused to start my food.... so I canceled it and they made it for me in line. When they first opened they were great, I hope that if they see enough reviews they'll do something to change.
I love it lots of options it's fast yummy and customizable
Tortillas and sweet pork barbacoa are top notch.
Tasty fast Mexican. Large portions
Good food and service
It's always good with the food made on site.
Placed order to go for 4 people and the order was perfect!
First time there. Had the Chile roast beef burrito. It was really tasty. It was also quite big. I ate it in two sittings.
We arrived durning the lunch rush and it took forever to get through the line. The employees didnt seem like it was a big deal either. They were jacking around behind the counter. Some of the people in line actually left. The food was ok. They do have fresh tortillas and make some of the food fresh. They have a beverage area with several kinds of drinks which is nice. Non-alcoholic. I guess if I was to go back it would be not during a busy time.
Favorite Mexican Fast Casual
Good food good service
Best tasting fresh food. I love the chicken salad with black beans and they have the best sweet pork burrito I've ever had. Never had a disappointing meal or experience.
Food is usually good. If you come at noon or at dinner-time prepare to wait in line though. Occasionally I'll get a soggy piece of lettuce in my salads but other than that they're pulled pork is wonderful and the pricing is pretty good for what you get
Fantastic ingredients for the caliber of the restaurant! Definitely returning!
Good food with many options. Enchiladas are served stacked not rolled. They also have a unique quesadilla.
This is not your normal cafe rio restaurant. It’s a food court. And don’t try the take out. We called our order in, and they told us we’d have our food in 15 minutes, Awesome! When we got there, the lady made me way for 10 minutes and forgot about me. I went to follow up, and she ran to the line, and they said that they hadn’t even started our order and that they were sorry. After 25 minutes of waiting, she said they’re out of black beans, haha. 30 minutes after we arrived, we finally got our order. The food was ok, the portions were a smaller than I normally get at a Cafe Rio. So, not that pleased with this location.
Always love it, their queso is literally addictive! The best queso I have had! Everything is on point, even the staff.
Tasty food and a little different variety than Chipotle.
Decent food at a decent price.
If you want to get sick from food poisoning and then be told by the General Manager that it wasn't his product that caused it, then this place is perfect for you! I normally cook all my meals and rarely eat out, my wife and I eat all the same meals. But when we do go out, we hope to have quality food, that won't make you sick, as a consumer should. Having said that, I was the only one to consume the Cafe Rio order that day. And as a result, I was the only one to be sick. Yet the General manager claims it is impossible, even though another customer complained about the guac that day, saying it tasted funny, which is made with the same fresca that made me sick. They threw the guac away, yet kept the fresca out to be given to all the trusting consumers that day. A quality General Manager would recognize this mistake and take action to make the situation right, which starts with, I am so sorry...What can we do to make this upto you. But by negating all claims and arguing, rather than listening to reason, and the only common denominator being the fresca, it just displays why this location struggles. Poor management!
Not many options around this town. Cafe Rio was comparable to a Chipotle. I had some Nachos, nothing remarkable about the food. They did have self serve Horchata though, which was not too bad
Dirty tables, floors and restrooms. Service was slow and I even got a bone in my shredded chicken! One of my worst experiences yet. Party off 8 and only a few were satisfied.
So so yummy!!!! I love the chicken salad!
Good salad. Generous servings.
Cafe Rio and Chipotle are probably tired of being completed to each other, but it's understandable when you see the layout and menu. The items are similar, but Cafe Rio comes out on top with more options that are all a step above Chipotle's offerings in my opinion. In addition, the tres leches is the most authentic one that I've found outside of family owned Mexican restaurants.
A nice place to go with friends and good food
Food is fresh and great even when we get it to go.
Terrific choices of meat, salsas, salad, homemade tortillas
Cafe Rio: the strip mall trough you settle for on days when you respect yourself just a little more than eating a Subway sandwich.
Food was fresh and we got quick service.
I'm so addicted to this place, fresh everything!
Always good food and quick service.
It is a cult, and I am definitely in this cult, love this restaurant
Love the sweet pork burrito, and the house dressing goes great on the salads or anything for that matter
Great service, food and prices. Excellent Veterans discount.
Arrived at 5pm for dinner with my wife. The place was nearly empty of customers and no line to order. Upon ordering, I was disappointed with the amount of chicken on my fajitas, which was fine. The guacamole didn't look fresh, it was a strange shade of brown and runny. When we headed to get a table, we discovered over half of the tables were dirty and the trash was filled to the top. Our food was just okay. Not a great experience.
Only stopped here to use the restroom but they seemed very nice and very clean facility and the food smelled so great
Cafe Rio is consistently good. Good quick Mex, decent atmosphere, nice place to take kids. Good for work lunches, taking kids, etc - there is something for nearly every palette!
The food was fabulous. Staff was great. Loved the daily special. Portions were fulfilling.
Really clean and professional since the remodel
Excellent food and service. Always enjoy my visits here.
Great food. Easily the biggest cafe Rio location I've been too - good open feeling.
Great food and price for portion s
It was good, sweet pork burrito. A little wet as usual.
Delicious and love the phone app coupons!
The staff were friendly and the place was relatively clean, and that's all the positive I can say about it. Their menu items have a certain definition and "Would you like anything else?" is extra per item, which of course they don't tell you. For example, we paid $1.19 for a tablespoon of avocado--not guacamole, just puréed avocado. I had a fire roasted chicken enchilada with "hot" sauce. The tortilla was kind of grey, and was dry and tough. The chicken was also dry and tough. The "hot" sauce was undetectable. My black beans were okay but the rice was utterly bland. My girlfriend's "soft shell taco" was a grey, dry, tough tortilla which contained nothing but dry, hard, partially shredded beef and some lettuce, with a little picante on the side. We will never go back
Fast Mexican food. Busy parking lot but good food.
I've always had positive experiences when visiting Cafe Rio. The food is fresh and always tastes great! The staff is always helpful and friendly as well!
Another great visit to a great restaurant. This time I try the shredded chicken quesadilla. Probably my new favorite on the menu.
Amazing handmade tortillas! Best pork burritos. Get it "enchilada style." They offer discounts for police & firefighters. Get here early for lunch, they fill up quickly!
Always good eats here. Fire grilled chicken burrito, get it.
This cafe rio sucks, and has sucked for the whole time it’s been open, and yet again I am reminded why I don’t go here. I asked for three orders of tortillas (which should include two small in each order), and they just gave me three smalls. They also don’t know how to make the fish taco correctly (double corn tortilla, cabbage, cilantro and cream sauce with lime), even with me explaining it to them three times they still made it wrong, then acted upset when I asked them to make it correctly. They threw it together in about 10 seconds (cold, didn’t even warm up the corn tortillas). Their kids ninos have like just a smidgen of cheese in it and are folded over 10%, and don’t even worry about asking for a side of rice or beans, they do like 1/2 a spoonful and that’s it, compared to all other cafe Rios that fill the side bowl. Kids here don’t care about the clients, and management is still lacking on basic customer service training. I should just learn my lesson and stop giving them another chance every 6 months...
I went here twice over the a week or two, and I wont go back. I thought my first bad experience was a fluke since I usually like Cafe Rio. But going back a second time confirmed to me that I should spend my time and money someplace else. I like Cafe Rio because of their food quality, but this one has neither good food quality or good service. The first time I went I was one of two people ordering with two or three people working the food line. The person helping me rushed me through the line. He only asking me what I wanted on my dish as a formality since he started dishing it up before I told him what I wanted on it. I felt feeling like they didn't care about the service they gave and expected me expect what they gave me to eat. The second time I thought that they could redeem themselves since I usually like Cafe Rio. But The same thing happened even though I was the only person ordering and eating that time. I took an early lunch. I am disappointing in this Cafe Rio. Poor service is the downfall to this Cafe Rio.
Very good small hot springs.
Amazing portions, good value. It can get crowded!
Haven't been this impressed by a Mexican restaurant in a long time!
Cafe Rio has some of the best in-store made tortillas! I'm kind of addicted to them. I feel this is probably the best Mexican food this area has to offer, and food is always ready fast.
Holy cow this was amazing, I had their steak quesadilla and was given a comment card on my receipt with a free dessert for commenting on the meal. The quesadilla was great crunchy on the outside melty goodness on the inside. Then I folded or the short survey and was given a choice for a dessert so since I was not completely full I used it then. Their tres lechies are bleeping mind blowing, I wanted to lick my bowl clean it was that good. I can't give them a lesser rating than perfect.
The grilled chicken burrito was most excellent! Service was spot on.
Very tasty and fresh. Definitely on par with Chipotle, with some nice differences. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly, I will definitely go back for more.
The tacos were excellent. The fresh Tortillas were perfect. They have a good variety of fillings and options. They were very busy but the food was made quickly.
Love the food here, as always! The lady at the front was so kind to us! She went above and beyond to make sure we understood what was in our burritos (I'm really picky). I think her name was Rebekah or something? Either way, thanks for the lovely experience!!
Always great food and friendly staff.
This place is fast for the volume. They do a great job of keeping things clean. Every once in a while they do run out of basics.
Delicious modern Mexican food, quick ordering, however there is often a long line of college students. They used to give a free drink to students that showed their ID, but now they don't. I would suggest ordering over the phone or on the app and then picking it up, saves a lot of standing time.
Food is excellent! almost cant survive a week without their amazing Salad with Cilantro Lime dressing. Thank you very much for being great!
Amazing food and fast
Consistently poor service, missing menu items when it was the special for the day, and closing an hour and 5 minutes earlier than website & door times say. The worst was when there was hair in food. When the poor customer service has been brought to their attention they just apologized but never made an effort to correct it. I love Cafe Rio but this location needs some help.
Good food reasonably priced not spicy
Love the pork buritos
Always very yummy and fresh. Good prices and good for something on the go.
It's okay for a change of pace but personally prefer Qdoba or Chipotle for quick service Mexican food.
I really like Cafe Rio! Their food is better than their main competitor because it is less sweet! My only beef is with the fact you can't get extra spicy! What most people call extra spicy, I call mild or maybe medium. I really like the choices you get to make! The price of the food is neither modest or excessive.
Busy place, but the food is always great!
This location is a a lot cleaner than the AF counterpart. I still hate paying the little extra when getting a burrito smothered. They have a picture of a smothered burrito saying starting at $8.99. but smothered is extra. I get it anyway because it's delicious. Still stupid. Good food for the price. you get a lot of it and it's pretty tasty. definitely craving inducing. this is a lack luster review because it's a pretty basic place. if ya haven't been here you have been living under a rock.
Great service, food was great! The cooks working the line were very friendly and filled my vegetarian order perfectly. Would recommend eating here.
My God, can they be slow!! Definitely don't go during dinner/lunch rush if you're on a time crunch. I think we probably spent at least 25-30 minutes in line just waiting to get up to the front! BUT their food is freaking delicious! The Sweet Barbacoa Pork is my favorite- so yummy! I saw you can order online and skip the line, that may be the way to go with these guys!
Food is fine, service is friendly, but their process to prepare and serve the food is slow
Great food
Sauces always seem to be watered down, no real flavor to the food. Pork definitely overcooked as well as undercooked rice. Employees are rarely nice, they always seem to want to rush you out. Definitely cutting corners here. Costa Vida is 100x better.
Food is good. We started going when they couldn't even fit lids on the to go order salads... trying to increase profits by decreasing portion sizes is a one way ticket to dissatisfied customers. Resulting in a loss in profits... so, I would say portion sizes are adequate, but not what they used to be... hence a loss of 1 star. Other star... just cause it's not a 5 star restaurant...
Great food and good service.
The quesadillas are delicious. The rest of the food ia okay. Worth returning for the quesadillas though
GREAT FOOD & SERVICE
Good the foods not to bad.
Good stuff! Kind of a long wait, but the food is fresh and really good!
Our family eats here 1-2 today times per week. Foods fresh and flavorful. Need to greatly improve customer service and efficiency. however. I was one of two customers w one employee working the line. The lengthy wait(5-10 min) prompted this review. Other employees performing prep tasks in trear (within sight), never looked back. Also, believe manger(blue polo) was within site. Long wait never acknowledged, food was not as fresh as past. Given time of day food had been clearly sitting for lengthy time.Hopefully they’ll address the concerns so they can survive long haul.. Great food when served properl
Best ever tasted good food her in the area. it was remarkable super delicious and deserve to have a 5 star rate and with their friendly staffs. It was great service after all.
I moved from Salt Lake city to Rexburg a month ago, Cafe Rio was one of my favorite places until tonight. I got a carryout order burrito and I felt it too salty, after digging a little bit I found big chucks of seasonig salt all over the rice. I couldn't return to the store bacause it was closed so I decided to write review about this hoping they will be more careful next time.
I would give a 3 star rating buuut the tables, chairs and high chairs were all gross dirty! The high chairs were the worst.. looked like they'd never been cleaned
The food is always amazing. Sometimes the peoples attitudes are not very good But I love the food quality and how fat they are.
Good food but always slow. They are always so slow at checking people out. They need to observe chipotle, they swipe peoples cards fast and get them out of there.
Always quick and delicious, love the homemade tortillas!
Cafe Rio food is great and consistent. It's a great value and we eat here often. They have a good loyalty program that you use via a smartphone app' which is worth the download.
Love this place. Especially this location. They're usually pretty quick to get customers through line, even when busy. Food is always delicious here, and the facility is always clean.
Good food
Great service for great food
I have been a long time customer of Cafe Rio, Great Falls. I have never been so disheartened as I have been over the past 2 months when I go there for meals. The food itself is not really the issue because I know people make mistakes occasionally, we all do. But my main concerns are with the employees, management especially & their total disregard for the customer, customer service, & employee shaming. I plan on giving examples of what I personally have witnessed and hope that the Corporate Offices will assess & remedy these issues. I have noticed there has been a high turnover in employees and I wonder if the management has a large role in this. I have personally witnessed the new male manager belittle & shame his employees for asking him a question, for pointing out his mistakes when he has made an order incorrectly, for asking for help on ringing up customers, or for asking a legitimate question that a customer has asked. He seems to get stressed & frazzled when the restaurant gets busy. I've witnessed the female manager screaming at, belittling employees in front of customers calling them "stupid" or "idiots". I refuse to use the restroom if I have seen this same female manager exit the restroom because everytime I have gone in after her, the restroom reeks of weed. My husband has come out of the men's room after a couple of the young male employees & noted the same smell. I have witnessed customers complaining of being rushed through or being talked rudely too by employees & management. Customer Service Training is highly recommended. There are a couple of pleasant employees I've seen that seem to care about the customers, customer service, & their jobs. I've always been greeted & treated respectfully by the male manager that's been there a while, the older African American gentleman, a couple of the line cooks & a newer cashier. These employees need to be valued. My husband and I will continue to keep coming to eat here as we enjoy the food but we also hope that there will be less negativity/disrespect and more positivity & pleasant experiences.
Their food is good. Not great, but a good solid good. The thing that kills me every time is the price. If I'm paying $10 for a burrito, it had better be awesome. They aren't, which is why I don't go more. My wife makes a better burrito. Why should I go here? I love going there when they have deals though.
Really friendly staff, good food, they have handmade drinks which was really cool. The food is served kind of like at chipotle, but you don't feel as pressured if you don't know exactly what you want, they take their time, and you see everything being made. It also has a pretty cool interior, and outside seating
I love Cafe Rio but the Manassas location is hit or miss. Ordered online this time. I always check my order to make sure everything is there, and if course..No salad dressing (two salads order) not to mention I paid extra on the other three order for dressings. It took me going through 4 people, 2x to get what I paid for. Literally laying out my receipt and placing the appropriate dressing by the order. Reading the receipt details was challenging for everyone. Listening to the customer was a close second. Biggest dissatisfaction was when we got home. My pork salad (ordered correct, receipt correct) had no pork. My husband's salad also ordered correct, had No Guacamole. All other entrees we requested Guacamole on the side...nothing was on the side. They simply just didn't give it at all. After many experiences, our take away...you have to order face to face and watch everything, be prepared to point at everything you want to make sure they know. Note: I would not take the time to write a negative review (I understand bad days happen) this just seems to be a trend. I hope they turn it around because the food is excellent.
One of my absolute favorite restaurants! You've got to try a burrito "enchilada style." It's famous all over the West and I'm so happy a location finally opened in Florida!
Wonderful fast Mexican food place! If you're looking for some thing to grab and eat later or if you're in need of something filling right now definitely reccomend Cafe Rio. It is pricey though. Trust me it's worth it! They can gladly take my 15 for two tacos, rice and beans, and a drink. Its GREAT food, nice customer service, and it fills me up after ever meal.
Amazing restaurant. I had been eating at all the Vegan restaurants the past week and just wanted to get a simple rice and bean burrito. Cafe Rio exceeded my expectations. The burrito was incredible. Stuffed to the hilt with beans and rice. To make matters better we showed up on a Tuesday and burritos were just $5.99 instead of the usual $9.99. I highly recommend this restaurant. The tortillas are made on the spot, then filled with fresh ingredients. Their sauce bar is amazing. And the ice machine at the soda fountain has awesome little cubes!
Two separate times after ordering using the app, have walked in with the food not ready and walk-in orders ready before my very simple order. What's the use of preordering if it means staying later than the extremely slow line? Telephone orders have been a lot faster, which makes me think there's lack of communication with the app. It's also annoying that I can't get any points unless I remember to scan in the receipt.
Fist time for me. We had a total party of about 15 people. We just walked in, and they killed it! Fast polite service, Great food!
Hands down the best Cafe Rio in northern Colorado!!! I have eaten at so many and this is by far my favorite. The food is delicious everytime!!!! The employees are so sweet and accommodating with the best manager out there. He is supportive to his team and remembers his customers. Keep up the great work.
Good and fresh like always. This location doesn't have the spicy pork. The "mango salsa" is more like a compote or chutney--cooked fruit instead of fresh that I was expecting, and too sweet. Shrimp tacos were good, would have been better without the breading. Love the fresh corn tortillas.
Cafe Rio is among my favorite restaurants. Their quality is unmatched and their process is perfected. I like the atmosphere and the food always takes great! If you haven’t tried all their menu items I highly recommend to venture out and get creative. I’m always a fan of the smothered burrito and you definitely can’t go wrong there but there is a lot more to experience and some really outstanding flavors in all their selections. And don’t forget to try their selection of drinks. Their Horchata is amazing and I really love their lemonades.
I am disappointed over multiple visits where this restaurant will not carry all of their specialty drinks until close. If they run out at 4 pm they will not refill their horchata even though they are open for hours still, this drink is one of the reasons we love to go to this restaurant. The staff are not very friendly here either.
Could definitely have friendlier staff but we can put up with it because this brings us back to UT.
Great food that's fresh. The tortillas are made fresh and you can watch them cook. I love all the flavors and how you can add extra sauce or pico to your order. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant. A great place for lunch or dinner.
Food is great ! Prices are reasonable. The only thing that needs improvement would be the lights don’t work on the outside sitting area.
The steak was dry, and the staff was obviously miserable. I’ve never seen it so dirty in my life. There were only a few familys in there and we had to search for a clean table. You couldn’t even throw your food away the trash was so full. It was not a good experience.
Great food and a relaxing experience with an awesome drink selection. The price is extremely reasonable for what you get too.
I can't get enough of this food! I always get the tostada and it never fails...it's delicious! The ingredients are taste so fresh. Keep up the good service as well!
First time in and staff was super unprofessional rushing people through like cattle and giving attitude, I can only assume they weren't trained on people skills, tried serving large cores of lettuce instead of changing out the bottom barrel stock, burned my girls tortillas busy hooking up friends than skimpy with us. Daily special only had 2 protein choices and 1 of 2 was a $1.50 upcharge with no mention of that anywhere. I was there today considering hiring to cater for a party of 200.....y'all blew that gig!!
I just want to say that I love this place, but what makes me come back all the time is the customer service and Dulce she is by far amazing. And I just want to give credit where it is due. Thank You Dulce! Keep making this place better.
One of my favorite lunch spots. It’s a lot like Chipotle but I believe the food is much better. If your hungry I recommend the burrito they are massive. If you become a regular make sure that you have their app it’s worth it for free meal ever few visits.
I love Cafe Rio! I always get the salad with shredded chicken. Staff are very friendly. It can get very busy and noisy. Portioning is great and food is delicious.
I loved this place! I was on a hunt for good food to make me feel closer to home, it was the best Mexican food I had when visiting Utah. Local co-workers said there is better out there but I added this place to my favorites. It was delicious and they did not disappoint! I'd return if I ever found myself there again.
I'd have to say this place was kind of a mixed bag... The tortillas were awesome and tasted homemade... somewhat translucent in some places so you know they use lard (the way they should). The vegetables all tasted pretty fresh too, although a little under-seasoned. The meat was kind of where it went south for me.... The steak looked to be a really thin top round cut into uniform strips. Not the fanciest of cuts one might use for fajitas. As yoiu can probably guess, the strips weren't too flavorful either, due to the absence of any fat in this particular cut, and subsequently it seemed to be a bit dry and just looked unappetizing overall. My partner disliked their meal even more. A chicken salad which received negative marks for having huge pieces of lettuce too large to reasonably fit into one's mouth, poor construction that left all the smaller ingredients to fall to the bottom where a soggy puddle had formed from the shredded chicken and dressing, and a lack of flavor. That being said, overall it wasn't a bad experience, just not great. The prices are reasonable and the horchata was refreshing on a 99 degree day, but overall I was left expecting better.
I have eaten here a few times and it has always been good, but today it was excellent. The staff is so friendly too. Everything tastes so fresh —they make tortillas before your eyes— and bonus points for the cute little salsa bar and authentic Mexican Horchata & limeade! I had a beef enchilada and carnita enchilada. Recommend!
This Cafe Rio doesn’t warm/crisp their tortillas with cheese on the flat top for their salads. I thought it was a one-time thing, but it’s happened to me three times. I go out of my way to go to the one in American Fork instead. BTW, generally speaking, I love Cafe Rios. Was really happy when I moved back east and found out they had them in NOVA too.
It was pretty good! The only thing I didn't really like but the food is really tasty
Such delicious food for a good price. The kitchen staff creates a welcomjng environment as they sing and show they enjoy making your food! Great place for larger get togethers, as well.
In my opinion better than chipotle as far as price and flavor. What tops it off is unlimited drinks including horchata.
Tacos were top notch. Recommend.
Good place. Great food.
Friendly staff, clean atmosphere and delicious flavorful food.
It's not really Mexican food, but it isn't bad in any way. Basically it's a ton of rice and beans for $10 and you wait in a line to look at the rice and beans before you eat them. Personally, I think this Rock Springs location does a better job than others I've visited. They make sure things taste great and don't just throw it together. Share the big plates with a friend. It's a ton of food.
Fast service good food
Consistently good food at reasonable prices keeps me coming back.
Well, I can honestly say that I have not been to this restaurant yet but I can tell you now that I do not plan on visiting. The reviews on here regarding the service tells me they have a serious problems internally and I don’t wish to jeopardize my dining experience on that. Running out of food, rude employees, oblivious employees, and nonchalant supervisor, all reasons to avoid this place. Sad because I was looking forward to a new dining place in downtown Eagle Idaho.
Good fresh food. Plan ahead for a wait at lunch
It was freezing in the Restaurant, not clean, and they gave my burrito to the guy in front of me.
Any time I order from this store, they get my order wrong. I ordered two chicken salads and came home to two pork salads. This isn’t the first time either.
Good Mexican food, a little too pricey but good food. The desserts are also good and love the mint lemonade.
Great food, awesome employees, nice atmosphere. $2 student tacos are a great deal!
Best Cafe Rio I have visited by far! Fantastic food and service beats Twin Falls location 10x over! I'm sold!
Organized clean and on time with your online orders. Oh yes and they got everything right! I live closer to the AF one but gave up on them getting things right etc. I would rather drive father for good service any day!! Thank you!
Always worth the visit. We have never been unhappy with quality of food or service. Highly recommend this place!
The tamale deal on Thursdays is such a great deal and everything on the menu is amazing so so so delicous. Prices are eh, but worth it.
For the love of god please take the fire grilled chicken off your menu!!! Literally every single time we come here you are out of it. If you can’t provide what is on the menu take it off! The restaurant is disgusting, food and trash on the floor and the tables are sticky and hardly ever wiped off. Also when I find a pubic hair in my water cup it just makes the entire experience disgusting. Absolutely 100% will never be back to this location EVER.
Good food but they need to come up with new items.
Excellent food and customer service! The prices are a little high but they have deals for every weekday. If you go on Tuesday you can get a taco for less than $2! Definitely worth the buy. They have my future business and I would recommend giving them a try if you are looking for a quick bite to eat and quality food.
Had a Great meal. The people working sang and smiled! Been awhile since ive been here but still as good as before!
Normally this is our favorite restaurant! Unfortunately, the Fort Collins, CO location has repeatedly let us down. Their food is just not great. Last week when we went, our rice was so old/dry that it crunched when we ate it. We won't return to that location again.
I love Cafe Rio! The portions are pretty big and the food is good quality. Add in some tasty drink options and you have a great combination for eating out. Just be prepared to go with an empty stomach because they like to pile on the extras on the food. Only warning is about the horchata, I personally don't drink it here.
I love the tomatillo enchilada sauce.
Always a good option. Never had a poor experience here, but I do always order the exact same thing
Life as a student is rough. Late nights studying, DTR’s, not to mention Byui is located on the planet Hoth. But the one shining star that can brighten any situation has been taco Tuesday at cafe rio
Delicious and fresh. Staff were very nice. Clean.
Great location! The line moves pretty fast & using the app is great to save & earn money towards more visits!
Like a chipotle but better
While the food is really great, boy was it crowded, and the place showed it. Having worked at a competing chain restaurant, I know that keeping up the cleanliness is tough, but seeing crusted food on the serving line, food spilling from one container into another of different food... it's kinda a turn off. But man, do they have a lot of fancy drink options! And you can't beat handmade tortillas.
The food is good here. I wish the staff was a little more friendly... I feel like I’m rushed to place my order in, from the second I walk in those doors. The seating area is clean, the bathrooms can be better.
Good food, fast service
They were a bit slow last time I visited but are usually great
It was okay. Nothing special they have some inmature employees that argue why your getting food that makes its like a live reality TV show
Only have gone for Taco Tuesday and it's delish! Love the homemade tortillas and all the fresh ingredients.
Delicious food!
This place was a great place to make a fast stop at for food not bad
Generally the food here is very good. Sometimes you need to encourage them to give you a little more, as each serving is individually prepared according to your requests. This particular Cafe Rio needs to fix its roof, which leaks significantly when it rains.
Great food. Free nino quesadilla for kids under 6. Always look forward to going here when visiting from out of state.
Picked up an online order and when I got home I found that they had only put one of three salad dressings that I had ordered. The food was good but I’m definitely not happy about it. Shoulda checked it, but the peeps shoulda done their job.
Enjoyed some great food here tonight! The steak smothered burrito was fantastic and my wife really loved her sweet pork salad. This place was nearly empty on a Monday night!
This is my favourite place to get a chicken taco salad. Take my word for it and add your proteins and green but don't forget the guac ranch dressing. Best Ever!
Everything in the menu is amazing! Enchiladas, Burritos, Tostada..! Try them all !
My favorite place ever! I eat Their often, and love the service, food and staff!
Love their tortillas!
Really fresh tasting food. Great vegetarian options too.
Fresh food, great service
People are nice, I work in the little strip complex close so we all stop there often. The 2 times this week I’ve stopped for lunch there’s been issues with my order. The first one, I was given a completely wrong order. Which wouldn’t be a big deal if the order I had been given hadn’t been sitting there for 3 and a half hours. I took a bite and realized how cold it was so I looked and it was an order no one ever came and picked up... the second problem was the beef in one of my tacos was a complete fat chunk. Like the middle of the beef fatty gross part that you can’t even eat.. so that whole taco went in the trash. Really disappointing for the price of what you pay.
One of my favorite Mexican fast food joints. Their medium salsa is to die for! Generous portion sizes, delicious food and original soft drinks make this restaurant a great value!
Supremely disappointed to find out that they discontinued the Spicy Green Chile Pork. The fajitas that replaced them aren't that great. I hate it when companies mess with a good thing.
Great food!
Tried to order salads over the phone today. My daughter does not like guacamole, so I asked the girl to put my daughters guacamole on mine..... and she told me they would charge me extra for it. How is that extra? This has never been an issue in the past. Not impressed. Told her to cancel my order and id go to their competition.
Very good, fresh ingredients. I wish my barito was just a little warmer. Had the plain iced tea which was also very good.
Great food, good service. Just try to avoid the rush times. It makes it a bit difficult to order.
Absolutely delicious. My coworkers and I went there for our weekly Friday lunch because one of the got a coupon. We were not disappointed. All the dishes were fresh and delicious. I had the salmon tacos with Mexican rice and black beans with their mint lemonade.
Best food i have tried love the chicken quesadillas. if you add fajitas to it you will fall in love
We so good. We ate way to much. Very good prices also
Very good but a little slow
Really good
It just looks and feels like a slightly worse version of Costa Vita. I ordered a sweet pork burrito which was really good. I've been told that if you want the best bang for your buck the burrito is the way to go, and from what I saw I'd say that's true. It tasted pretty good which is always what you hope for. I went a little after nine on a Friday night and it looked like I just beat the rush because there were about 20 people who were eating. The staff was fairly friendly but they definitely seemed like they were rushing us through the line even though there wasn't anyone behind us. All in all, it's a good place to eat and is nearly identical to Costa Vita except the restaurant itself is not as nice in appearance and the menu there has a few less choices to pick from.
Always delicious, great deals on Tuesdays, and the staff is very friendly.
Pretty good food here. Expect a little bit of a wait though....it is always busy. The food can be pricey, so go for their specials or show up on Taco Tuesday.
I absolutely LOVE this place! Everyone is so freaking nice and always find a way to make you smile. The food is so good my co workers and I often come 2-3 times a week. (Trust me its that good). FYI They have an awesome rewards app and you constantly get coupons on. ;-)
Their food is good. Not great, but a good solid good. The thing that kills me every time is the price. If I'm paying $10 for a burrito, it had better be awesome. They aren't, which is why I don't go more. My wife makes a better burrito. Why should I go here? I love going there when they have deals though.
Staff changes, but always great
They helped me out so much and I thought I could get a tres leches for doing the survey (because my home town tooele does) but no other grills do but these guys went up and beyond to help me out and said “weellll were not suppose to but since you took the time to do the survey we’ll do it this once” thanks again guys
It's a great place to go. The food is great and and service is wonderful. Definitely the place to go!
This is my favorite place to go if I want a burrito. They have amazing salads as well. You get plenty of food for your money and the food is excellent. I would recommend Cafe Rio to everyone.
Good food
Great food go when ever were in greatfalls.love it
Awesome healthy delicious Mexican, download the app and eat there all the time
Love the food. Great menu options. Amazing queso!!
It was great as far as I could tell.. There where a few things that were off, but I didn't mind
Sweet pork tacos on Tuesday totally rocks
I love this place and I always eat here when I am in town. They have very fresh food and friendly staff.
Only downside is that it is constantly busy. Best option is to get food to go by ordering ahead of time
So good!
The default on where to go when no one can decide since it's the only thing that can be agreed upon.
Really good!better then alot of other similar restaurants
Food is good and what you expect but just DON'T EVER ORDER CARRYOUT. Ive always waited more in the store when I arrive than if I would have just waited in line to start. Called 20 minutes ahead then waited for 20 when I got to the store. This has happened many times. Just come wait in line. Im actually waiting for food right now after calling 30 min ago. 30 others have passed through the line as I wait.
Always a good place for that Taco craving...quality ingredients, friendly hard workers and good customer service make this place a go-to lunch spot for my wife and I if you haven't tried their food I strongly encourage that you do so soon!
Overpriced, always out of steak, getting slower. Service is hit and miss.
Good vegan options, friendly employees. Love the decor in here
I love this place by far the best Cafe Rio they actually look like they are having a fun time working and the quality of care in my opinion is awesome worth the line if you ask me :) also they have drive through so like what more could you want.
Maybe hire more people?? Especially on a Friday night. Waited in line 20+ minutes. Out of grilled chicken, queso had a 20 minute wait. Restaurant was dirty. Won't go there again.
Location was clean and food came as expected. Staff was warm and friendly.
Those tamales
Fancier Chipotle with horchata. Such a win.
Great fresh Mexican, large portions, good value for your hard earned money. My favorite is the sweet pork salad with tomatillo house dressing. And they make an awesome key lime pie, as an occasional treat.
Great if you order in person, but I've had four separate bad experiences with online ordering. Do not order online. The worst experience: I placed an online order for pickup in an hour. I showed up 10 minutes after the pickup time but they hadn't started it, then they told me I'd have to wait until they helped the 5 people in line before they would begin fulfilling my order. They helped those 5 plus the next 2 that came in later. I waited 30 extra minutes.
Produce quality is in as Good here as some of the other locations down south but I still love Cafe Rio
Love the fresh tortillas
The pork tacos are so good! I couldn't believe how delicious they were. Soooo good!
Fresh food. Ask for extra meat and they really pile it on. Nutritional info is available for every ingredient. And, they have Diet Dr. Pepper!
Good food but ALWAYS PACKED. Everytime ive gone in (at different times) there has always been a line almost out the door. Have attempted to eat here multiple times but because its so packed have had to leave and resort to somewhere else
They made my order wrong and the person I spoke with about replacing it was very rude. When I came in to have my remake she barely gave me a chance to ask for all the toppings and so i didn't even get my order remade correctly. No response from corporate. Not good customer service so I won't be likely to return.
One restroom for a big restaurant. Ridiculous
I frequent Cafe Rio. Always good food. The salad with spicy pork is my usual to share with my wife. Good stuff. Most plates are more than I can have for a single meal.
Super friendly & great food ...if it was closer to me id be a frequent customer
Fresh ingredients, customizable, friendly and helpful staff. Free quesadilla and orange slice for kids 6 and under!
The worst experience We've ever had at Cafe Rio! My husband and I were rushed while trying to order for ourselves and two kids. The ladies behind the counter were very impatient and we felt like they were just trying to push us out the door. We ordered a large guacamole and chips and were given 2.5 scoops of guacamole which wasn't enough to feed a family of four. Very disappointed as Cafe Rio is a treat for our family since the nearest one is a hour away.
I love taking my family here. The food is always very good. I always get my order super quick despite what some of the reviews state. Kids get free quesadillas, which is a nice touch. The drink station has some great choices, and even flavored syrups to liven things up. The prices are pretty reasonable, and I really like their salads. You can't go wrong eating here. They have a nice staff, and the restrooms are clean.
This place is delicious
The staff there is the best. I can't believe they can serve so many people on Tuesdays.
Its tasty and fast.
LAST two times I went on a sunday and waited for over 25 minutes. What I figure is the issue is they were doing to go orders in between regular orders. It was a solid 5 minutes of them doing to go orders and not addressing anyone in front of them. Normal days they are much quicker but it seems Sunday's stay away!!!! Great location, everyone is so nice!!
Great food. Great service. Consistently making me a great burrito! I love it.
Good but cost to much
Café Río staff are so disconnected with their customers. They don’t listen to what customers are saying. They overcharge for extras like making your burrito enchilada style. I have had better food for better price at QDoba. Cafe Rio just lost 6 customers today.
Great flavors with a unique twist on them much different than your traditional Mexican food. Tuesday is the day to go for a first time because they do $2 tacos which are great. Good place for a quick date!
This place gets my extra star for price point, quickness + the taste is good. However when they're busy be prepared for them to run out of roasted chicken and their ice and homemade drinks. It has happened to me a lot. They have a good rewards program though and I get free food and discounts a lot.
Great food and friendly service.
Great food and fun atmosphere in the restaurant. A little pricy but a fun treat now and then. A lot of food for the money. Was very nice to have a free kids quesadilla.
We like the food. Unfortunately the workers today were quite rude to anyone who was not Hispanic. If we see it again, we probably won’t go back to this location.
I love this place!
Every Friday night. Without fail. Great food. Great service. Low price. Need I say more?
Very delicious food but pricey.
Their pulled pork is amazing! My only complaint is that Cafe Rio isn't in more places.
I don't go to Cafe Rio often, but the food is pretty good for the price. On my most recent visit the rice was substantially under-cooked which resulted in a little more crunch to my burrito than I would have liked. My favorite thing about Cafe Rio is the drinks. The horchatta is as good as any restaurant's but the limeade is delicious.
The woman helping was sort of hard to understand. T^T
Good food reasonably priced
I've had some really good Mexican food and this wasn't it. I recommend the tacos.
Great service and amazing food!!
Pork barbacoa is awsome!
We would readily eat here more often if the food wasn't so overly salted.
Awesome, quick food, kids eat free and the chicken salad is a ton of food and super delicious. Oh and homemade tortillas, yummy! Some of the meats are really sweet though, you can try samples before deciding.
Delicious, just go on taco Tuesday and get one pork and one chicken taco with the mint lime drink, and you're in heaven. Free kids quesadilla!
So good and filling. I love the sweet pork salad. And I love that they have a small cheese quesadilla free for kids 6 and under.
Really good, fresh food. Terrible customer service.
VERY clean and EXTERMLY fresh food cooked right in front of you 10percent would recommend
Authentic but different Mexican food. Good portions and very tasty. 4 Stars **** Garyleescritiques
Every time my husband is in town, he has to visit this spot!! We both love it; all the ingredients are fresh and the tortillas are made from scratch!! Every time we go, I always take extra tortillas to go because they are that tasty.
I usually love this location but they were crazy slow last time I went.
I love everything on the menu. The sauces are great the sweet pork is from heaven. Did I mention they have cold beer. This is just one of the MANY reasons AMERICA is SO GREAT!
The food at this Cafe is always hot and delicious. I bought two gift cards for 15 year old twin boys. It's the perfect gift for that age!
Affordable and tasty Mexican grill
Love this place, customer service is great and so is the food
Great food , great value. Love the sweet pork tacos and go with the chips and salsa too!
best hand rolled tacos ive ever had
The line is always long but it goes pretty quick. The food is always well made and the employees are nice. It can get loud in there since it shares space with 3 other restaurants
One of the best Mexican restaurant you could eat at Awesome waiters in the food is pretty Awesome To
Mom good! Salads are always good!
The food is delicious and the choice in dishes is nice if you're wanting something other than a taco or burrito. The queue is a little awkward and if the employees start talking down the line at you, it's hard to hear them. Went during lunch on a Monday and seating was fine.
The pork barbaco salad was great... PLUS enjoyed the company of my fabulous son!
Great food, portions and price
This place is hit or miss, you never know. I ordered online for a group (5 meals) and a family member drove from green river to pick up the order. I can't have dairy and ordered no cheese on my food, but they filled my burrito with cheese. I called to talk to the manager about getting a refund or credit (something I never do) and the manager wouldn't come to the phone. He told his employee to take my name and number and he would call me back. Of course, I never got a phone call. As one of the few places I can usually order food safely, I was super disappointed and will be avoiding this place from now on.
They messed up our order...my wife’s vegetarian burrito was the size of my thumb it looked like a 99 value burrito at Taco Bell...the sweet pork was so charred in my burrito that I couldn’t bite through it. All the specialty drinks were empty and they rudely refused to refill them (it was only 5:00 before the dinner rush) Bad food, no drinks, $30 for two of us...go somewhere else!!!
Stopped by on the way through hoping for our favorite Cafe Rio meals. It was dirty, slow and the portions were off. Our pork salads had hardly any meat, rice or beans.
So good and the atmosphere is awsome great for the whole family
They deserve a 5 because the food is so great. It’s usually served quickly. However, their employees are not very friendly more often than not. If you download their app, they send out offers for extra points at least weekly, sometimes up to 4x points on certain items. It adds up quick, and the reward is $10 off the next meal when you reach 100 points.
I don't get the hype. It's okay but I've had better in Rexburg. Worth a try though.
The employees were not very friendly. They were out of any kind of beef and the restaurant was not very Clean. I have had good experiences in other locations but not this one!
Great service, better food
Went back again! And will go back again.
Decent food, really worth it to go for one of their specials or discount days.
Delicious medium-priced Mexican food, I recommend the salmon burrito.
This is a terrible cafe rio. Took my wife here for date night and she ordered a burrito. One of the people grabbed the wrong burrito and I kindly told them that was not hers. She said sure it is and finished making it. We sat down and when my wife cut into the burrito it was the wrong kind like I told them. So we took it back and they took forever to make her the correct one. Won't be coming back. Bad experience.
This place has awesome queso!
Good food but it was too salty for me.
Food is great as usual but the customer service at this particular Cafe Rio is absolutely terrible. The employees were so rude and impersonable the entire time. They did not listen well when we were ordering and were not even apologetic when they messed up our orders. We came in at a time when no one was really in the restaurant (3pm) and they were obviously not doing anything, but still seemed like we were such a burden. We got many eye rolls and dirty looks throughout the process. Again we enjoyed the food and the taste, but not the people working.
Delicious food. I love the chicken enchiladas and the horchata. Family friendly place.
Good food, would have preferred more veggie stuffings based on my Indian likings, but can't complain more after at least having a vegetarian option.
Tastes great, fast no matter how busy.
Best fast Mexican food you can buy!
Felt a little rushed, but got military discount without asking when they saw my usaa card. Made my day! Military Wife
Good food. Kind of pricey.
So good and fast!
Very good lunch. Fast, buffet line type service. You watch them make in front of you. Was busy at lunch time but moving at fast pace.
Great food great environment. Their mint limeade was like nothing Ive ever tasted. Totally addicted to it now.
Honestly just love the freshness of the tacos.
This was but far the most insulting dinner I have ever had to experience. The service was degrading, and the food was revolting. I ordered a burrito looking forward to tender chicken, cooked rice, and clean lettuce. I got just the exact opposite of that. On first bite it felt as though I was chewing small pebbles, that your employees have the audacity to call rice. I then tasted what I thought was charred iron, come to find it was the so called “grilled chicken”. As I choked and gurgled to swallow it down my throat without nauseating my date for the night, I then saw that she was also struggling to hide her suffering. I prayed to heaven above to get me through this dinner without hurling, and right then that’s when I saw it... the lady bug in my lettuce. I let out a squeal, of shock and relief as I now had a unoffending reason not to finish the food. If my point is not clear, eating this food chain is the most refuting and derogatory experience I have come to witness in my lifetime. If you are considering eating at Cafe Rio, please please I beg of you to turn the other way and save yourself while you can. God bless all survivors of this restaurant.
Best food in Manassas, hands down.
I can go in when they are not busy and they would be out of items and the staff is rude. The upkeep of their facility is noticably lacking. Update 8/15/18: I really would not recommend going here unless you want your appetite ruined from their drink machines. They are either empty, not mixed properly, or not clean. I got a southwest limeade and it made my stomach turn it was so bad. I tried to give them multiple chances to turn things around but the staff and corporate don’t seem to care anymore.
Good tasting food. Ran out of shrimp tacos though.
Very good food. I don’t think I’ve ever had bad food here. Always busy but they manage the lines well.
Vegetarian Salad was delicious. The service was helpful. And the lemonade was fantastic!!
Awesome food
The service was horrible and so slow. One guy in particular seemed to have no sense of urgency, he stood in the back while everyone told him he was needed in the front. There’s no reason we should have to wait in line for 40 minutes, and they had already ran out of items by noon. Very disappointing experience!
Always great!! Take advantage of their reward app and the Tuesday special.
The burritos are really good. Tuesday's are cheaper. There's one worker w go us just too fast and d oesnt wait for the customer. Allergic to pinto beans and he just puts both in. Other than that one time. Good overall.
We really enjoy coming back to our favorite restaurant #Caferio 2 to 3 times a year. Because every time the family and I return to this fine restaurant and establishment, all the staff are very helpful and make it an absolute pleasure to come back every time. I honestly don't know or simply don't recall ever having a bad or terrible experience. So therefore, I/ we highly recommend this Fine establishment. A very Satisfied Guest AK~47
The good: I like Cafe Rio! They have specials depending on what day you go on. They also have healthier options and a nifty nutrition calculator on their site. To me, it's basically the same as Costa Vida although many others have a preference between the two. My favorite food options are the sweet pork and their tomatillo ranch dressing. The bad: This location is usually insanely backed up/slow at lunch and dinner times. I'm talking waiting 20 minutes in line just to get up to order. They are absolutely horrible at online orders. Even when you put names on each of them and give them exactly what you want, I've never had an online order where everything matched what was ordered OR one that had the names actually on the dishes.
I’m Hispanic and to put it bluntly the food just tastes bad. At least it’s cheap.
good food
Very good food
Learn a thing or 2 from your Idaho Falls location
One of my favorite Mexican food spots!
One of my favorite restaurants in Rock Springs. If you're from out of town, think Chipotle. They serve quesadillas, burritos, salads, etc.
Super slow and okay food.
My impression was a better tasting better managed Chipotle. They had the menus in the line so you knew what you wanted before you got to the employees. I think that made it much more efficient. They had quite a few options. I got the enchiladas. They were very good! The mint limeade was very good twist.
The food was delicious, and reasonably priced.
Chicken quesadillas and burrito with the chili lime beef. Every thing was yummy and fast. Staff was in pretty good spirits and were helpful overall. No complaints, only praises! Good job Cafe Rio.
The food is awesome. The sauce isn't as spicy as I hoped but they have other hot sauce to help with that. I been craving lemonade and the lemonade here is sooooo good. I went back for more. I only ate half my food and was so full. And everyone was so friendly. Def will be going back.
Food is always amazing and fast
My burrito fell apart but tasted good otherwise. The restroom has been out of toilet paper both times I've gone.
great food wonderful staff
Its an okay joint. Kinda chaotic and messy during normal rush times. Overall the food is good and you get what you get eating mexican. I prefer costa vida. But its pretty much apples to apples.
Good, fresh food and lots of it. Quick service, hand-made tortillas--what's not to like!
Kind of hit or miss. Usually the food is pretty good, though I've had times where the rice isn't properly cooked or lettuce is wilted. The same applies to online ordering. Some times it works great, I'm in and out in 5 minutes after placing an online order. Sometimes not so great and I have stood by for roughly 30 minutes after the pickup time waiting to get food. I still go almost every week for tasty Tuesday deals though, so I guess the price is right.
One of my favorite quick Mexican stops. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients. The salad is essentially a large, open faced burrito. I’ve had each of the meats and they’re all really nice. Make it a combo of meats. You’ll love it. The horchata is my favorite.
I could eat here everyday. But then I would be one poor panda.
This is probably the best Mexican food you're going to find in Great Falls. This chain has great options and hand made tortillas that their cranking out fresh all day. Order at the counter and watch them make everything to order.
Good food. High prices. I hate being nickel and dimed for sour cream and guacamole.
The food is delicious. The workers are kind of grumpy and always in a rush. Caution: They will ask if you want sour cream, guacamole, etc to go with your meal and charge you an arm and a leg for those little extras. The drinks are expensive and only worth it if you are dining in and getting refills. If I order to-go, I purchase my drink elsewhere.
This place just killed the game. They make their tortillas there right in front of you; they got crazy drinks along the wall, all of them delicious; their guac tastes just like my dad makes; and they hook it all up - if you go away hungry, it's definitely you're fault, not theirs. All comparable in price to Chipotle.
Not as good as the Idaho market. They do improve everytime we have gone since moving here a couple years ago. I feel they are the offer the best Mexican style food in Great Falls. Everything is fresh too! Clean and friendly.
Good service and good food
One of the employees stood up and had a tortilla celebration where they frisbeed out small fresh tortillas to people in line for a free item selected by the people who caught one. Pretty cool!
Food is delivered and fresh prepared every day. Taco Tuesday is a huge draw. It would be a more enjoyable atmosphere if this particular store would have a regular "cleaning" schedule. It was pretty messy and dirty when we attended this evening. They need a professional cleaning crew. Dirty tables, floors, chairs, drink area quite dirty. Machines not very clean, etc. Food was okay tonight, but was much better when they first opened for business. They need a "quality control" person.
Great food! Open room, line buffet type serving.
Sweet pork tostada with lime cilantro vinaigrette dressing. Simply the best!
Food was excellent, and the cashier was friendly.
We ordered a burrito and a side of chips and queso. The burrito was ok, but everything tasted very salty. The spice level was non existent. The queso has to be thrown away. It was so incredibly thick, we couldn’t get a chip to penetrate it. When I gave it a hell of a stir and tried it off the spoon, it tasted off. The staff took awhile to acknowledge us, but was otherwise pleasant. We probably won’t go back.
Awesome tex Mex food Taco Tuesday is a for sure win
Food is so amazing ! They having amazing beverages and great tres leches !
Not much different from Costa Vida in my mind, but they Do give free chips and sales to students, which is awesome. Plus, I like that they have apple beer.
Clean restaurant, friendly staff and excellent food (mild is mild and hot is just the right amount of burn yet still pleasanttasting). Definitely recommend their app for offers and specials prior to ordering.
The food is soooo good and the staff is very nice and professional but it was a bit cool in the dinning room, so please turn up the heat just a bit. Stay open forever. A happy customer.
Cafe Rio serves up delicious Tex Mex. Military discount offered. For first timers, get the pork barbacoa salad or any burrito.
Stopped going here due to the cleanliness of the store and the food quality. My last salad was more lettuce cores than leafs. I have never had a cooked tortilla at this place either. Much better options now.
Fresh and tasty.
This place is always great for food. And it's usually the same no matter where you are. The salsa is great. Service was as good as it could be, with the lines they had, but generally good. Staff seemed friendly overall too. Always fun to eat at Cafe Rio.
Cafe Rio makes the best chicken tacos I have ever eaten. They are fantastic. My kids love them. It is great food.
Awesome date place for anyone in town. Taco Tuesday is sweet, good and quick service. Afordable and fresh everyday.
Don't come here when you're hungry. If you want to eat here come about 45 minute before you think you'll be hungry. This will avoid the hangry state you will enter waiting about an hour for your food. Good luck!
Descent place. Steak was not very fresh.
The guy who served us had a REALLY loud voice but he was the nicest person! One of the best places to eat in RS
Worth the wait I guess
Great food great price
Love their beef tacos! Fresh crunchy salad, juicy savory beef, freshly made tortilla. Could eat one every day.
Great place i've been going for years!
Yum. Yum. Yum! Huge portions and delicious food. I love their grilled chicken salad.
Love the taco Tuesdays here!
I love the food here and the help is friendly and on Tuesdays they have taco specials
It really wasn't that good. My pork tasted like baked beans, and my husband's beef tasted like it was going bad. My cheese and tortilla loving daughter didn't like her quesidilla either. I know other people who love it, but we weren't impressed.
Café Rio, is one of my favorite restaurants in the great falls area! The service is great, the food is better! 100% Would come back! On Mondays, its 50% off for military members and dependents!!! They have weekly specials as well!!
Yummy food and great service!!
This Cafe Rio is normal. We have heard some bad things from former employees about what happens in the kitchen area. The food doesn't taste as good as some Cafe Rios I have eatin at. The sweet pork flavor is not as enjoyable as the other restaurants.
One of my favorite fast food places. Large portions. The sweet pork salad or burrito with creamy tomatillo dressing is my favorite. Great rewards program with frequent bonus offers.
I recently visited here while I was on vacation because it was near the hotel and I was unfortunately not very impressed. I am from Texas, so we get awesome Mexican food all the time and is what we are used to. This restaurant was a complete reversal and unfortunately a disappointment. We did get there shortly after they opened, but you would think they would be ready to serve customers when they open. The rice and beans were under-cooked and tough and the chicken had no flavor and the portions felt a little small and overpriced for what you get. The customer service and the Sweet Pork Barbacoa were good, but you want the sides to be edible as well. I would not go here again and unfortunately also cannot recommend this place based on my experience.
Very small amount of food
Terrific food, great service, reasonable prices. Very family friendly as well.
Love this place its sooooo freaking good
This is more of an authentic Latin flavor compared to other chains. The beans, , meats, cheese and all the ingredients are always fresh and it's just delicious. The tortillas are made fresh all day long. I just enjoy it every time I visit.
Always excellent food, with some interesting options from time to time. I personally stick to my favorite, a burrito with either stack or spicy green pork, hot sauce, enchilada style, and it's never let me down! Service is quick as well, so don't be frightened to go in if the line looks long. The staff there on my visit yesterday seemed especially kind, with the cashier being patient for me to login to my rewards app even with people behind me. Definitely a nice touch. I'd recommend everyone to get the app, they have notifications for point multipliers if you buy certain meals, which you can then redeem as in-store credit. Always a great experience!
Yum good food cool atmosphere
For a counter serve place, this is surprisingly clean and good. Not as well seasoned as I'd like, maybe it's me.
Our first time here, the food was plenty and very good ! Our service was fast and accurate
Much faster than other Cafe Rio locations. I purchase about 10 meals for work a month and they are always friendly and much more consistent than other locations. I would recommend this to anyone who hasn't tried Cafe Rio and those who have had bad luck in the past.
. Cafe Rio is always good. I have something different every time I go there.
The foods good. Service was pretty quick. Just whatever you do, don't ask for extra meat. Unless you want a burrito that's 90% meat and 10% everything else. By default they give very large portions of meat.
The food is fresh & the people are friendly. It is fun to watch them prepare the food in the open kitchen. The grilled meat is temp checked frequently to get the cook right on. For carry out, the online & phone ordering is terrible - it goes through a central location that adds a lot of wait time. It's faster to drive in & order than it is to order in advance & go pick up.
Great service!! Tostadas are great especially with the reanch sauce on top and the queso dip is to die for..
Food is amazing, and great service at the Glendale location.
My favorite Mexican restaurant, I'm officially addicted, I used to make fun of people I knew who would crave it, but then I tried their shredded pork...so good.
Great food and great service, as always!
Good prices and they make fresh home made tortillas.
Got a GIANT piece of hair in my salad tonight.
Always fantastic. Great service
Love everything about Cafe Rio! Although, the last two times I've been to the Lehi location they seem under staffed. I expect a long line because their food is just that good, however, tables not being bussed after customers until all tables were dirty is a turn off. Enjoyable employees and experience other than that!
Amazing tacos fast and friendly service, the people really looked like they enjoyed thier jobs
Dining room and restrooms are always clean with friendly staff. Food is freshly made and 8 have yet to have a dish that I didn't like. There is an amazing military discount, some days it's as much as 25%! Favorite dish is anything with sweet pork, be sure you also get the strawberry or lime drinks. This is a must go place any time I'm up there.
Costa vida is better than Cafe rio. Plain and simple. But Cafe rio is almost as good.
Good meals. Make sure to repeat your choices and options to make sure you get what you want and pay for what you want
Try this place for some of the best Tex-Mex food around. Good for lunch or dinner.
Always great!
1st time here. I got an amazing lunch for $6. The ingredients were fresh and delicious. The torrillas were the best I've had. I can't wait to try other items.
I'm normally not a fan of pork but absolutely die for it here, shredded pork medium sauce enchilada style. So craveworthy, their chicken salads are good, too
Good food and service
Super tasty and super fast. Not what I truly consider Mexican food, more Mexican inspired... but I will go again.
Very good food and a great atmosphere
good place to eat, just not at this location
Love the fresh ingredients. The salads are generous in size and satisfying.
I dont like guacamole but theirs was very good.
The first thing to note about Café Rio is that it's a very Americanized Mexican food. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, this isn't quite the place to be - but as American as it is, it's delicious in it's own way. I absolutely love the place and the sweet pork burrito, and the tres leches always hits the spot! Large portion sizes make sure you're not hungry when you leave, and the quick and efficient staff make sure you aren't left drooling over the "Enchilada style" burrito for too long
Great food great service
Nice location good daily specials. Unfortunately the rice tasted hard like it had been sitting in the kitchen all day. The chicken we had in the quesadilla was hard black chunks. We had to ask for a new one. The staff seemed irritated we even asked. I would not recommend it again.
Delicious food!
It was freezing. We've been to this Cafe Rio before and we know how cold it is usually, so brought coats (an ideal solution, right). The cold broke through our coats and we ate quickly and headed out not being able to handle the freezing temperatures of Cafe Rio.
Really fun and great food!!
Good for taco Tuesday
Yuck the work station was so disgusting. Imagine Chipotle but with people that don't clean up after themselves and hate their job.
Restuarant was super dirty tonight. The plastic lids had fallen in the guacamole, the counters were disgusting, there was some dessert that was spilled by the register and just left there.
Such amazing food!!!
Good food. Freshly prepared&served by an attentive staff. Generally very clean in public areas. I would assume the same for the back shop area. Only downside is the damn wind whistles through the seating area if both main doors are opened simultaneously.
Place needs a good cleaning.
I do love Cafe Rio. The food is always delicious. This location isn’t necessarily my favorite. The line of food is always a mess and there’s lots of cross contamination. Often times when I order to go on the app my order is messed up. However, staff is always very nice and do what they can to make things right.
Just what you would expect with any other Cafe Rio. If you enjoy big burritos or tasty Mexican salads then you should try it out!
One of my favorite restaurant chains. The first one I went to was in Salt Lake City Utah. Found out there were a few in Denver which is a lot closer to where I live but still a 6.5 hour drive. Maybe not quite worth the 14 hour round trip but I absolutely love their sweet pork and I always grab a few extra meals to take back home. The portions weren't quite as big as they were in SLC but same great taste.
Finally! Those savory southwestern flavors have arrived in Florida! My favorite is the sweet pork barbacoa salad, but everything is good. You can't go wrong.
Soo good! I love Cafe Rio!!!
They do a great job here, their sweet pork and horchatas are A M A Z I N G.
A whole lotta yum. Spicy green pork will rock your world!
Cheap & amazing food.
The food was great . The manager wade is awesome. Clean atmosphere
Ordered fire grilled chicken salad, and taco, they are really great. I really like grilled chicken in salad which is juicy and a bit spicy. We live in Alberta, visiting Montana a couple of times every year, I will definitely stop by there to try with other menus. Thank you!
My burrito fell apart in seconds. It didn't taste all that great. Ended up leaving without even finishing my food. All the employees have a nasty attitude and the manager tried to step in when he saw I was upset. Break down completely and start over with this garbage fire.
Love the food. Always fresh and good. Excellent service and a good rewards program. Be sure to get the app.
Litterally the best Mexican place in GF. I'm a regular there and the staff always recognizes me and makes my experience better everytime. Also, best chips and queso in GF hands down.
meh, i love cafe rio, the food is great, but the service at this place is a joke and they are SO SLOW. I have stopped going to this location because I can't eat lunch here and get back to work during the lunch hour.
They do that watermelon limeade better than all the other locations.
Tried going for their lunch today and they were out of steak. We asked the manager how long it would take to make more and he said he was too busy to put some on the grill and we could eat somewhere else. There was maybe 7 people in the whole store! Very poor management!!!
Really fresh ingredients and generous portions! With the Cafe Rio app you save about 10% and get $5 off for a birthday gift. Friendly staff!
Having worked at this Cafe Rio about five or six years ago, I was very excited to visit it on my way through Rock Springs. Bragged about the food and service and couldn’t wait to enjoy it with my company. Unfortunately when we got there on December 3rd 2018 at roughly 7pm, the staff did nothing to greet us. They in fact bickered amongst each other right in front of us as if we weren’t there and they hardly acknowledged our existence. The lobby was a mess as was the restroom. When we paid for our meals, the price was higher than I ever remembered it being, but the food was good and filled me with nostalgia. This review is for the owners of Rock Springs Cafe Rio. What happened to the friendly atmosphere, the authentic ambience? Where was the respect from your crew? I’m confused. When I worked here things were run on a much tighter ship. We had to look nice, smile, interact with customers and exude fun. I manned the tortilla station and was always entertaining guests while they waited in line. I just wished I could have shown that Cafe Rio to my partner. Your food is excellent, but the service on this night was less than acceptable.
Probably the best Cafe Rio I’ve been to, with the best employees. I’m taking burritos back to my sister in Indiana that craves these... like we all do... Anyway; the employees were amazing at accommodating my special order, and all of this ten minutes before close on a Saturday evening. Great people, great food! Thank you!!!
Worst Café Rio experience, ever. I’m already not a big fan of their food over Costa Vida, but goodness the attitudes from the staff here is horrendous! While taking our order, the woman acted as though we were putting her out. Utterly unhappy in her job, clearly. Then when I asked if I could get a side of sour cream she gave me attitude, and when I asked her a question she just ignored me. To top it off, when giving my receipt she just put it on the table when my hand was out waiting for it. Absolutely terrible customer service. Will not go back.
This place is so yummy! Sweet pork is great and they have this yummy limeade minty drink that I can't get enough of! I'll keep coming back for more! And the staff is great to!
Close to home, good food fast service. Better taste than chipotle and qdoba. Better imo. Def worth a try.
Gaby was amazing! She was so sweet and kind and got me out in a jiffy. This is by far my favorite location around!
Better than average Mexican fast food but pricey and the chips n salsa are extra. For what they charge here, you can get a sit down meal at a Mexican restaurant with free chips for the same or less money. Way overpriced, I wasn't impressed.
Always a good choice.
The food is good tasting. But not sure how well it's cooked. The past two times I've eaten there, I got sick a few hours after. The service is so so. The guy who makes my food is stoned faced, mumbles and acts annoyed when you ask him to please repeat himself when you can't hear what he is asking you. However, the girl who works the register always has a smile and is pleasant to deal with.
The steak was dry, and the staff was obviously miserable. I’ve never seen it so dirty in my life. There were only a few familys in there and we had to search for a clean table. You couldn’t even throw your food away the trash was so full. It was not a good experience.
try the pork, life changing
Similar to Chipotle. Prices are high, the foods good tho
The food is fantastic here. Don't get me wrong for putting three stars. It is because of the cleanliness of the place sometimes. One time, we went there, and an entire table was full of cups that had been sitting there so long, mold and nasty smells came from it. We didn't sit down and eat there after we got our food. Another time, the floor was sticky and I hate the sound of crackling rice crispies any time I walk across it. It isn't always dirty and messy. So I do go back often and again, the food is spot on. The staff are friendly and quick with getting my food ready. They do listen when I bring up the cleanliness issue and I have seen one of them drop what she's doing, grab the mop, and get cleaning the floor as soon as I mentioned it.
Taco Tuesday is the best deal in town, burritos, salads and tacos for about half price. We are there almost every Tuesday.
This place is amazing! Sure it's gritty, but that's part of the relaxed experience!
Excellent staff and food! Worthy place.
Great customer service the food is always fresh and food.
Unfortunately the Rock Springs Cafe Rio is the worst one. I love Cafe Rio and was looking forward to a good meal. The seasoning in the Hatch Chicken is watered down and doesn't even taste spicy. The servers seemed overwhelmed. In every other one I've been to there is always a manger. There didn't appear to be anyone in charge and it was very apparent they were struggling. By the time I was able to eat my food it was cold. I will go to Cafe Rio in the future, just not this location. I think this franchisee should go visit other sites for comparison.
It was good. Mostly there for the burritos.
I really like the deals here, like the $2 tacos etc. However, if you don't have taste buds that can withstand saltiness, it may not be the place for you. So far, the meat, beans and rice have been a little bit on the salty side for my personal preference. However, they are in a prime location and it's fun to stop in and get a deal in addition to their free niño quesadilla for kids. Very family friendly that way!
So good made from scratch :) love this place. ;)
Good food. Good prices. Atmosphere is kind of loud.
Price and food are good
Good affordable food with huge portions. The sweet barbacoa is very sweet so be warned and the queso is probably something I wouldn't order again as not much flavor. Overall though it was decent.
I used to rave about this place, but the past few times I’ve been here it’s been a real let down. The food is good but man they need to step up their cleaning game. The high chairs are always sticky and dirty as well as the tables and floors. I went to the “competitors” yesterday and what a 180... it was so inviting, fresh and clean!!!!
Great for a good quick meal
Always a favorite!! Even when busy they get you through quickly!
Nice place to eat the food was really good
Love taco Tuesday! Can't beat $1.95 tacos!
This place and the other in Orlando are a far cry short of the original Cafe Rio in St George, Utah. The flavor and the proportions are just not the same. I will try them again, but not anytime soon.
If you like Mexican food created by people who have never been to Mexico, or even to a decent Mexican restaurant, and you love sugar, this is the place for you. Portions are huge and the ingredients are high quality, but it's as authentic as a sombrero that was made in China. Not a lot of choice in Rock springs on a Sunday so this made do. A big plus on the torani syrups for the drinks.
Just terrible. The food sucks, but the service sucks even more. Everyone who is unfamiliar with fort Collins or wants good fast Mexican food, go to Cafe Mexicali. Its wayyyyyy better and the service is actually friendly.
Good food.
Quick fresh tex mex
I enjoy it. The food is good and the line moves quickly.
Best tortilla in town, however, when wet lettuce is added, it becomes soggy and flavorless. Cafe Rio needs to invest in a salad spinner. It would make a HUGE difference. Last night they were out of shredded beef and guacamole which was very disappointing.
This has to be the worst Cafe Rio out there. I've been there several times and almost every time I leave more disappointed. And I LOVE Cafe Rio, I've been to lots of them, and normally defend them against Costa Vida. Here, slow service is common, and as a customer you often feel neglected. Small portions are almost always a thing.. especially with rice and beans (which are literally among some of the cheapest foods on the planet), they don't even fill the spoons. I've come in a few times 30 minutes before close, or even an hour, and they'll be rationing what they have left, almost afraid to make more food. The students look at you as if your messing up their closing procedures, and I've been told they are out of things a couple times. I finally relent, if you are in Rexburg go to Costa Vida.
Great food. Huge portions. Excellent military discount.
Can't beat Tasty Tuesdays!
Took my niece to dinner! It was nice to go spend time with her. She got cheese quesadilla with horchata, I got chicken quesadilla with guacamole. Very good!
Great tasting food. We always stop here on our way through town. Best fast-ish food around. You won't regret it like you will fast food on a road trip.
Usually quick and good.
We love coming to Cafe Rio always clean and well prepared food.
Always tasty
This place really puts the "food" in American Mexican food. Really, the serving sizes are huge. This place has extremely high quality food, but at a high price compared to other fast food chains. The serving containers make it easy to take home, so no hassle with other take home boxes. A good experience overall.
Good food. Expensive though. Longer lines to wait in. But good.
Never ate there before, but the food was good.
Good food
They are always really consistent with there food I really like eating at this cafe Rio. I would recommend it to busy families and people who want good hot food and don't want to be held hostage by a waitress.
Was a great place to eat with family with fast service
Some really good tacos here. I'll have to try the burritos and post about them sometime.
Pretty tasty. Just wish the wprkers paid closer attention to what they're doing and who theyre talking too.
Quick service regards to it being super busy today. Staff was super friendly.
Second time I have eaten there and can't wait to introduce my wife to this place.
Prices are great. Download their app a d there are some awesome deals and rewards. More often than not they're running promos for double or triple or quadruple the points for the app. I feel like they have their customers in mind and the customer service when you walk in is exceptional every time. Food is great ( but don't expect anything too spicy if that's what you're looking for because they really don't have anything with a lot of kick here besides their personalities) those same personalities are exactly why whenever I'm deciding what I want to go eat from out, Cafe Rio is one of the tops of my list. Thank You and please keep up the good work in customer service because it is, sadly, a dying art.
Amazing. It's too bad the price has slowly gone up the past 2 years but the food is amazing, especially the student deal! They have an amazing mobile points app that you NEED to use.
Love the salad, filled with fresh ingredients! The decor is fun but we usually take our meal home. The tres leches is luscious. Nice staff. I highly recommend you get the app, which has great deals!
Costs to much to eat there
The workers are absolutely outstanding
Love it, but they were out of Hot Enchilada Sauce (the reason for going). Still good.
Brezzy is always so nice when we come in. I think its time for her to get a raise! She rocks!!!
Love the food!!
Place is good, and good service. Plus deals
So yummy. And decently priced. You can't go wrong ordering here
Love this place. All the food is excellent but Taco Tuesday is our favorite. Customer service is ALWAYS top notch.
Yummy
Love their food. Don't live by one so I stop whenever we are near it.
Good food. Price is kind high. Come here once per month is enough.
The tacos we're great. The chicken and barbacoa were both fantastic. The roast beef was ok. $2 taco Tuesday means 3 giant delicious tacos for $6.50 which is a fantastic deal. Only downside was they were absurdly messy and difficult to eat. Too much liquid in the meat and the salsa plus an ice cream scoop of sour cream on each taco. Delicious, but you're gonna need a dark corner in the back of the room to be alone with your shame.
Love cafe rio but this location should change its name to Tweakers R Us!
The "medium" sauce is slightly sweet. It's weird. Stick with the "spicy" sauce.
A sweet/mild smother unlike any other! Hosting a healthy portion and quality of ingredients, Rio's also features a unique and wonderful drink selection. Favorite in-house, fresh tortillas!
Cafe Rio is amazing. We don't have one in Atlanta, so while we're here for Disney World, we drove 1:10 in traffic to get some tonight. Definitely try the pork burrito or salad if you've never been here.
Basically their sweet pork is a drug. And, I need more.
Unfortunately late experience was bad. The servering line was filthy and cross-contaminated because the staff was trying to rush too much.
Great food, friendly staff
absolutely love their dressing and their pork! Could easily eat here every day! It's a favorite of ours to have for when we are having lunch brought in at work! Highly, highly, highly recommend! Also, try their tres leches! It's addicting!
Service is quick and fast. Workers there are friendly and kind and they seem to enjoy their jobs. Plus i live 50 feet from it, which is nice. I ordered the sweet pork burrito with pinto beans. Very tasty.
Travelling through Great Falls, Sunday,7/14 around 7 pm. Waited at least 30 minutes in line. The only engaged employer was the guy taking orders 0and starting the order prep. All others were disengaged, talking to each other...la ti dah attitude. Garbages were overflowing. Very disappointing compared to Missoula's branch. They know about good customer service!
I am here in Idaho on vacation and one of my friends suggested this restaurant to us saying it was amazing, I completely regret trying this place I got the two cheese enchilada meal with all pinto beans bag of chip w/ queso and a taco salad when my husband brought the food to our hotel it smelled amazing so i was excited at that point to try the food when I opened my dinner I noticed that my food was in a used container with dry burnt red sauce and some other old food in the container mind you i had no red sauce in any of my meal and the guacamole was blackish brown and watery and i had a puddle of water in the middle of my food it was gross and so i went on to the chips and queso and the sauce was dark brown you could tell it was old and it was cold and the chips were stale so at that point i decided to check my husband food and his food was served in a dirty container also, so i would not recommend anyone to go to at least this location
Cafe Rio!?! More like Cafe Yummy!!! I do like the OG sweet pork place...but I do wish they had a drive-through that makes all the difference to this Mom. This location gets really crowded at lunch time so I would probably avoid it then, but good other times of day!
Great food staff is very unlively though
In general Café Rio is great, but this location specifically many times leaves alot to be desired. The service is much slower than any other location I've been to, and if you order online many times they get your order wrong; also in the restaurant many times the tables aren't clean. The food is still great, it would just be nice for this location to get up to the standards of other locations.
Amazing food and large portions! Everything was fresh and delicious! Very comparable to the Tex-Mex I'm used to. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area exits looking for good Mexican style food.
This cafee Rio has very slowly staff and a lack of staff. You might wait 10-20 min. Other than the wait staff is friendly and the food is always good. They are never out of anything or mess up orders. It's very clean and a good atmosphere.
This place is so yummy, i love that they make there iwn juices
I love Cafe Rio! I always get the salad with shredded chicken. Staff are very friendly. It can get very busy and noisy. Portioning is great and food is delicious.
Good food. Can get very busy at this location. If you're not really hungry, go for the tostada over the salad. It's the same thing pretty much, just a bit smaller and a bit cheaper. Tacos are great and fresh. Rice can sometimes be a bit crunchy when they're busy
Delicious food, friendly staff, daily food specials a great place to grab a bite. I will highly recommend the pork it's delicious but honestly all the food is. They also have some great drinks to choose from I loved their horchata and wish I could have tried the other drinks they had. I will definitely make an effort to visit again and I won't be surprised if we see more Cafe Rios around Florida.
Great pork, friendly staff, and the restaurant was well maintained.
Love cafe Rio and this location is always willing to help and serve well! They do a great job!
This place is big out west. You HAVE to try the sweet pork. It's worth the trip.
Love their Chicken Tortilla Soup! Chips and Salsa ...okay!
The quality of the food was as expected according to orchids visits at other Cafe Rio locations.
food cold, pleasant servants, price decent
Loved the food and customer service.
I loved this place! I was on a hunt for good food to make me feel closer to home, it was the best Mexican food I had when visiting Utah. Local co-workers said there is better out there but I added this place to my favorites. It was delicious and they did not disappoint! I'd return if I ever found myself there again.
Great food, good place to chill. Good atmosphere for a first date, cause it's casual and relaxed.
Can't beat that sweet pork taste from cafe Rio. Always quality and highest flavor. A clean property and very helpful and friendly staff. One of the reasons we continue to eat at cafe Rio.
This place charged us twice for our food using a debit card and refused to work with us on a refund. Don't use plastic here.
Excellent food
Gabby is the best! I get to reuse my BOGO coupon because she gave it back to me!! The food is delicious and the restaurant is clean. She also got my daughter a big bowl of chips with no questions asked! I'm definitely returning soon!!
Best Tacos in Missoula. Don’t @ me. Fresh made tortillas. Always blown away by how good this place is
I feel this Cafe Rio has gone down hill. Their food has no flavor any more and they load in a ton of every part, making it overwhelming to eat all the food. If they have taco tuesday regularly, they need to figure out how to better manage all orders to get them out in an orderly fashion. I know what it is like to make food during a crazy rush. I know taco Tuesday is crazy. I stood in line for half an hour. Part way through I found out my husband wanted something as well. Instead of standing line for another half hour after eating,I ordered an entree online. I picked a time 30 minutes from the time I placed the order online. After I was done eating, I waited till the minute I requested my husband's food. They told me it wasn't done yet. Understandable. I thought maybe it will just be a few more minutes. It took 30 more minutes from that time for me to get my food. So an hour total for one entree. When I went up to ask about the status of my order they looked around panicking then found it behind them. The container was warm, not hot like you would expect it to be. The lady at the cash register was sweet but they need to be sure their cashier's are good enough to problem solve on the fly.
Fresh food for a very good value. It’s not just their tacos, their other menu items are good as well... I have also enjoyed their burritos and enchiladas. Horchata and the good crumbly ice are definite perks. Every Monday half off for military. The food is great and delicious. Their choices of meat is good, not a fan of the sweet pork but it's good for those who are. Good tortilla soup. Good overall
I love Cafe Rio. The pork salad has got to be my favorite thing in the menu. The tortillas are what really make the meal though. There is nothing like them. I think I could have Cafe Rio for lunch or dinner every day of my life. I highly recommend this place.
Frankly I have eaten at a few Cafe Rio's and while our food was as consistent as usual, I have to say that the dining area was sadly in need of some attention along with both restrooms. It wasn't as busy as there typically is a line waiting but not here. The floor looked like it needed a real good cleaning. Sorry.
Poorly managed. Rude staff, often out of sweet pork, one stall per restroom(city code?). Not excited to return.
Food was very good! Busy, but the line moved quickly! A ton of choices to customize your meal!
fantastic food, one of the greatest mexican places to eat here in denver.
Out of steak, out of pork at 3pm on a Monday afternoon?? Zero sense of urgency from the staff in taking orders. Waited for several minutes while an employee strolled to the back for more “something” and the rest of them stood around. Food prep area was a total disaster; containers were empty. Nothing looked fresh. I much prefer the interaction and friendliness of the Twin Falls location, where we were regulars before moving to Boise.
Those who are behind the service line are not happy or friendly. Dampens the whole experience to have to deal with that. Cashier was very friendly! Food was fresh and good. Restaurant was clean. More training for those in hospitality industry would make this a great experience.
Great food, long line but well worth it. Loved the food and great staff. Everyone was pleasant and efficient. I would recommend this restaurant.
Good service and good food. The service is usually very fast.
I went to Cafe Rio at this location for the first time yesterday and I was treated with courtesy and excellent customer service. The place is clean and the food is very good. I plan on going back again.
I had to shout to have myself heard (which I can understand but still) The beans were good and the salad, too. Was not a fan of the enchiladas, they tasted too sweet for my liking, plus kind of soggy with water. But hey, to each their own.
LOVE this place!! Food is always fresh and they have a very friendly staff.
Mediocre ingredients every time. I've yet to be impressed with the sauces, tortillas, and other ingredients at any Cafe Rio location. My last visit was the same. The service was good, but my tastebuds were not satisfied with the latest selection. The competitor I usually go to has what seems to be fresh ingredients, and the taste is much more pleasing. At Cafe Rio I always seem to get stuff that's been sitting around all day being oxygenated.
Oh man the beans did me dirty but the shrimp tacos were good. After I ordered a young lady ordered the nachos I wanted to change my order but didn't want to be a jerk. Food was good.
Come in a little later then expected, but still plenty of time before they closed. They were totally rude and ignored me and did not inform me that they put everything away until the last second. I stood there waiting while everyone just stares at me for a good 10 minutes. I usually don’t leave reviews, but they were so rude and unprofessional. Costa Vida is better anyway. Don’t go here.
Food was cold. Staff was apathetic. Place was a mess. I watched one of the staffers pick food up off of the counter and toss it back into the storage container. Never again
Good food. Fresh Ingredients. Select your own to build your order.
This is a real 5 star. The price per value and overall flavor are top notch. I cook pretty well and go to a lot of restaurants. Trust me when I say you will not regret this place. If this is your first time I highly recommend a sweet pork salad.
Our favorite place to eat. They have whole wheat tortillas, it has a casual atmosphere so I can feel comfortable taking the kids and they are reasonably priced. They also have an app that can get you free food.
Quick service. Good quality fresh food. Nice people. Could get around to clean the tables a little more.
I do no recommend this place. They are rude and stingy. I asked for a little more rice and they told me it was extra. The fellows here have poor customer service skills. I know it does not take a lot of education to work in a joint like this but it doesn't cost anything extra to be nice
The people here were all very nice and this is a good Cafe Rio. But, I used to love Cafe Rio. Lately they have skimped on quality and value and reality slipped in my book. The servings are not as big and that great fresh spicy flavor seems to be gone. I will go occasionally but it has lost a lot of appeal. I hope they can step up their game soon.
Cafe Rio and Costa Vida are practically twin restaurants, I could not tell the difference between these two. The food is a bit pricey but it tastes great and doesnt seem overly processed or unhealthy. The calories are probably up there, but also the serving is quite large. The ingredients are chosen by you, like a burrito Subway, and they look and taste fresh. The hot sauce is not hot, I can imagine the others are mild as well, aside from the next step up from hot which I haven't tried. Would recommend to anyone with an appetite and ten dollars.
Terrible service, worst I’ve ever received. Rude and incompetent employees. I was the only person in line and it took over 2 minutes just for someone to come get my order. Employees just stood around in groups doing nothing and seemed oblivious. I then stood there at the cash register for over 3 minutes waiting for one of the 4 employees right in front of me to cash me out but they just stood around. I finally asked if I could be checked out and they just stared at me. Said nothing. Then what seemed like their supervisor walked over and told them to cash me out finally, but she was very rude to me when I asked her to repeat something she said that I couldn’t hear and was not friendly at all. Seriously every employee had no idea what they were doing and just screwed around on their phones. Worst experience at this restaurant sticking to costa visa from now on.
Delicious fresh food. Have gone multiple times and will go again. Daily specials add extra value.
Great food and fun environment. Love coming here because it's always worth it. Fresh food everyday and great deals!
Today was the worst ever drink machines empty. And when I ordered on line for quick pick up I had to wait longer than the several people insane go through the line while I waited.
Best, place ace is nice and clean. The food is made fast. Great place for a fast bite, however it not " fast food"
Overall very good. Food tastes great and good quality. Staffs are friendly. Interior is good too, pretty vibrant. Small downside I've noticed is that since the portions of the food is controlled by the person who's taking the order, sometimes it's inconsistent, esp. when they are busy, but they do that sometimes even when they aren't busy which I hate the most. I hate it when some staff seems to give me so little of the most important thing, the meat. I don't care much about the other stuff like rice or bean, I just want at least a decent amount of meat. If they give it to me for free I won't complain, even if they put half the normal amount of meat, but that never happens so... I'm complaining.
Food was great. I was really impressed however the staff was pretty rude. I let it go, maybe she was having a bad day then the next person did too. I was put off by it. I’m not sure why their miserable, wheather it’s management or something in the water. But being polite and decent goes a LONG way.
I would give this place a five but parking is a little tricky, and they seem a little slow-paced inside and they don't have a drive-thru.
Always very nice, quick and professional staff - food is delicious and easy to customize to your liking. Many options for food, drinks and even Tres Leches or Key Lime treat for dessert. Only place I've ever been to with Horchata which is super delicious! The aesthetic is unique and very cool. Always a great option to eat in or take out. Highly recommend this restaurant and it is one of my favorites.
Could be cleaner. Food was great
Excellent food! Very good value for the quality of food. Loved the Niño Quesadillas option
My favorite place to eat in Missoula! Never had bad service here! Great place to eat!
Great service and generous tacos!
Food was ok. I'm a big fan of Mexican food but Cafe Rio Mexican Grill can do better. Service was good. Price is affordable.
Best taco salad in town
Good food, good staff, atmosphere and architecture is odd
Waited in line for 35 minutes. Dramatically over priced food for the quality and portion size. Food was cold by the time we made it through the cashier, who was trying to fill internet orders, to go orders and the regular costumers. And too top it off, right after we finished eating, my husband witnessed an employee leave the bathroom without have washed their hands. 10/10 will never visit again
SWEET PORK. Nachos with sweet pork. Tacos with sweet pork. Burritos with sweet pork. Enchiladas with sweet pork. Oh, sweet pork salads. Did I miss anything?
Spirited, friendly crew. Food is delicious, reasonable. Specials 3 days during the week. Get App, save money.
So, I know it's a 'non-local chain' that we are supposed to disdain. But, gotta tell ya, except for 1 time, 2 years ago (when the new girl didn't drain the lettuce, so, the taco salad sat in a pool of water) this place Always Comes Through. I really love the salmon tacos (friday only). The tortilla soup is great with huge chunks of really nice fresh grilled chicken breast. The pulled pork is so good. As are the fresh made tortillas. The cilantro ranch dressing is Heaven. Best, the staff is really responsive, efficient and nice. (note: 'non-local' or not, this place hires tons of hard working Missoula residents, offers great family AND regular-people environment at affordable prices, is healthful, and way better than the soggy overpriced bland tortillas at other 'Missoula' establishments.)
Good mexican food.
I have ordered online with these guys a few times now and have been disappointed every time. They never get my order right. So frustrating!
When the first Café Rio in Utah opened, it was a revelation. It got extremely popular and expanded. This location has always been solid, but faces competition from imitators who have exceeded them in some relevant ways. The food here is reliable and you know what you are getting. The employees move things along in an expedient manner. Prices are beginning to outpace value. The place is clean. Seating has expanded. Parking is not always great. Egress is usually fine, but can be complicated by which way you want to head out on Old State Street.
Fresh - fast - delish - gluten free
Loved this place when it was first opened, but having returned yesterday after a long time I was seriously disappointed. It has gone down hill. They have always been slower than other Cafe Rios I've been to, but this time was ridiculous. The food was not as good, something was off about the misshapen tortillas. The entire store was noticeably dirty, but the bathroom took the prize. If I had gone in there before ordering I would have left running. Not only was it filthy, but the soap dispenser was broken. My thoughts turned to the entirely female staff not being able to properly wash their hands and I felt sick. I will not be going back to this location.
Went for the first time. It wasn't too bad. The enchiladas were ok, the chicken wasn't shredded too much but it was still good. The cause was very salty. That's all I could really taste, the atmosphere was good and a employees were kind and helpful.
THIS PLACE is amazing! Yes they are a bit pricey but that is because everything is made from scratch. The House Dressing (Avacado Ranch) is a must have dip for everything! Everything is fresh and delicious! Not to mention their drink selection is bomb too!
Popular place, but pricy. $11 for a small enchilada and soda .
Always yummy!
Terrible food, it had minimal flavor and didn’t taste Mexican. Long line. Cashier was clearly fed up and was short and rude. Food was slopped into your bowl. Portions were inconsistent. Screaming kids running around everywhere and the manager did nothing. Horrible atmosphere. Will never come back.
The worst of the Cafe Rio restaurants I have seen. They are always out of something at each visit. E very time we get fire grilled chicken, they are virtually out, but serve chicken scraps, scraping the container. I rather they just say they are out. We like Cafe Rio, but the quality here lacks. Maybe that is why the staff looks so gloomy and disinterested
Solid Mexican fair. It is a bit in the fast food side in terms of how it is set up ( think Tokyo Joes for Mexican) but it is really yummy and the tortillas are outstanding. Solid choice.
Great food and service
Love there pulled pork salad and large portions. Have some great different drink choices. Only reason 4 star is the table are not very clean (when you can get a table. Then it is just so so loud. Order is always right and they are always in a nice loud hurry service mood. I will continue to go here and would one day love to see a better dinning area. Clean. NEVER got sick from here. The portions are so large it is 2 meals.
This is one of the best locations for Cafe rio. Food was prepared perfectly just as I ordered, and was cooked well. Ordered the wheat tortilla that at other location is often hard and dry, but this location made it well. Delicious!
Still have the classics, but without the exciting staff. I miss the days of staff members singing about birthdays and free meals. The port burrito with red sauce inside and green outside is still awesome.
Good food but the wait can sometimes be a long wait even though the staff is moving people along quite well. Pro tip: know exactly what you and your entire group wants well before getting to the front of the line.. Or get a online order pick up.
I love Cafe Rio. The pork salad has got to be my favorite thing in the menu. The tortillas are what really make the meal though. There is nothing like them. I think I could have Cafe Rio for lunch or dinner every day of my life. I highly recommend this place.
Great customer service, fresh food, rewards program, drinks ✅✅✅
The flavor of the sauces for the meats aren't the same... It tasted horrible! Nothing like the other Cafe Rio that I been to. Normally I would give five stars because Cafe Rio is good, but these guys need to figure it out and fix it. I've been to this one twice both times have been horrible.
Great place. Food was fresh and great tasting.
I was a devotee of Cafe' Rio at first....and it's still pretty good but often times they dont have my favorite Fire roasted chicken for the burrito (enchilada style). Honestly, there are lots of things they run out of! 3 stars
Great flavor, very clean, friendly people
First off - how is it possible to make lemonade MORE refreshing?? I did not expect that mint limeade to be so good! Mint wasn’t overpowering like I expected - you gotta try it. I had the enchiladas and they were spectacular. This place gives Chipotle a run for their money. The food is fresher and just has more flavor. Everything tasted better from the sauces to the beans. Fresh made tortillas too omg so good!
Very tasty food and fast, good atmosphere, they're well lit with natural light. I love it.
Amazing meats. My favorite burrito place. Puts others (Chipotle, Moe's, Qdoba) to shame.
Great food
Love how my kids can eat free! The pulled pork and homemade drinks are really good!
Good food but they need to turn the music down
The fresh made tortillas and hot sauce variety is the best!
First visit food was delicious and food prepper was awesome let me try samples before I ordered to ensure I was s satisfied customer and I most definitely was
The employees here are quite unhappy. We went for the first time in the evening hoping to try this new restaurant. We were greeted by averted eyes and customer service skills that said "we are done for the evening" even though there was more than an hour left according to their published closing hours. Chairs tilted indicating they wanted to close an hour early. We promptly walked out and will never return.
This cafe Rio is terrible. It Is crazy slow even when there is like 2 people in front of you. Sometimes the pork is flavorless, and one time my wife was ignored by a worker because he was giving preferential treatment to some of his buddies. Unfortunately , its cafe Rio so we will go back but definitely not as often as we might otherwise.
This location has an extremely high turnover of staff. As soon as they are trained they are gone. That seems to say something to me. They are very inconsistent with the way they make their food. Putting very different amounts of meat in items. Sometimes I get a fair amount of chicken in the tortilla soup sometimes not very much. Same way with the tacos. They are always out of one or more of the fresh drinks offered. Tonight they were out of two of the four. If I pay $2+ for a drink I would like to have all options. I feel that the food is of good quality, which is why I keep coming back.
Best Mexican food in town
This was my second visit here and the food was very good. The menu is fairly simple and easy to follow. My first visit I had a burrito and brought half home. This time I tried the roast beef tacos. If I had realized how big they were I probably would have only gotten one. The tacos were so overstuffed I took what fell out and mixed it with the rice and beans. I brought half my food home again. They do a great job building your meal here. My only problem is they are the only location in the state and so far from me that their rewards program is a waste if time. The points expire way to quickly. If you are in the area they are worth stopping in.
Not a big fan of the menu but fire what they have its cooked and put together well
The food was delicious. They even have free niño quesadillas for kids 6 and under. The bathroom was nice & clean.
Very good food
I love that they have military mondays and the sweet pork is so good
Don't let the name fool you Cafe Rio is definitely not a sit-down drink or coffee kinda place. They have fresh ingredients, hand made tortillas they also prepare everything infront of you. the presentation of the food looks exactly like the picture and you get way to much food to bring home.
God Bless this restaurant and their sweet deliciousness. Like heaven in a burrito, and with queso on the side. It's tastes like how I imagine driving a Ferrari feels. You haven't lived until you've been here
CHI-CHI-CHI-CHIA!
Lots of great food, low prices.
Since I tried this place for first time I'm in love with the excellent quality of the food and the affordable of the prices. I highly recommend this place it's so good and the staff is very nice as well!
Always consistent. You know what you are going to get here. Could be a little faster and more organized on the flow through the line.
Love the sweet barbacoa. And they make the tortillas fresh.....mmmmmmmm. Get your burrito enchilada style. Try one of the tea they serve, great flavor and delicious.
I love tasty Tuesdays! The salad and food are really fresh and tasty.
Best shredded white meat chicken ever! And a barbacoa that I had to google a copy-cat recipe for! Can't beat the deal for Taco Tuesday, I can't cook for less!
Ordered chips / queso and they mixed the ranch and some cheese to make the queso so when we ate it it was COLD and ORANGE RANCH instead of queso, they also added beans to our salad when we asked for no beans. This location never cares for some reason. The employees are always rude about the to go food.
Food was excellent but the employees are very pushy and rude...
Excellent food and friendly services
Great food.
As always, a delicious Pork Barbacoa Quesadilla. Everything was fresh and tasty!
food was good but they were out of a lot of beverages.
Fresh and delicious
I live the food at this place. It's delicious! One of my favorite places in Rexburg! Employees are nice to you. It has a decent price.
Delicious food and friendly people!
Fantastic Mexican and the only Cafe Rio on the East Coast (so far). Fantastic!!!
The salads are so good I've never managed to try anything else. Although, I've heard others say the same thing about the burritos. Also love the free little quesadilla for kids, my boys love them!
Those who are behind the service line are not happy or friendly. Dampens the whole experience to have to deal with that. Cashier was very friendly! Food was fresh and good. Restaurant was clean. More training for those in hospitality industry would make this a great experience.
Best place ever. We love the burritos and enchiladas. Go with the house style dressing on a salad. It's heavenly! Their homemade tortillas are amazing as well. Fun environment for eating in.
This restaurant is the best there food won't regret you
The employees really make this place. We brought friends who had never been to Cafe Rio and when I mentioned it to the manager Markus , he went out of his way to make the occasion memorable.
Really loved the food. The food is only surpassed by the quick and attentive service of the staff. Perfect place to go to for a quick bite to eat. I wish they had queso to drizzle on top of my order, but the house dressing was amazing!
I used Cafe Rio to do an order for 500 of our employees at Entrata in Lehi. I'm head of catering and to feed a huge group can be super stressful. Luckily Cafe Rio was on time, prepared, and ready to execute for this big event. I now know I can count on Cafe Rio for any occasion of any size. If you are doing a big event, I suggest getting a hold of someone on there catering team; they make the whole process easy!
Cafe Rio. Now this is a great Tex-Mex restaurant. With a Daily special you'll be inticed to go back every day to try their whole menu. With the best queso in town, be sure to try it--you'll be glad you did. Burritos, tacos, enchiladas, taco salad, and more, all with different kinds of meat. They have two different tires of beans: pinto and black. Their rice is nice. (Did you see what I did there?) And a point of interest--they have Vanilla Coke on tap.
I ordered take it from here the other day. After getting home we realized instead of making me a grilled chicken salad they made me a pork salad. I called and asked for a refund, not only because it was wrong but because they charge extra for grilled chicken that I never got. They transferred me to someone to refund me who they said had gone home for the day but said if I left a voicemail they would call me back. Of course they didn't. Never going back there.
Horrible customer service. We had asked for slight changes to our order and she wasn’t listening. Proceeded to make it the wrong way and asked her to fix it. (Rolling her eyes while doing so) We asked for our meals to go and the worker mouthed “oh my gosh” right in front of us to another worker. Our order was not complicated; they were not listening to us. Seriously guys, get your act together.
The food is good, the place is fine
The floor was covered in food. The staff was not helpful on my first trip. Very very dirty restaurant.
Location was a little tricky to get to but good as always
Good TexMex
I have ordered online several times and not once has my order been accurate. The food is great but I won't be back.
Very good food. Went on Tuesday for the special. Employees did a good job with all the people in line. We will be back.
Portion size is huge and everything was fresh, customer service was very fast and smooth
Great food
My only complaint is the effect this place has on my wallet.
Just the best mexican food in utah What i really like are the tacos There is a special order only available on Sunday only which is the shrimp
Tasty food, clean and staff very nice. Maybe a little more illumination would be better.
A favorite of many Utahans but not of me. I find the food very boring and lacking flavor. I have eaten here many times because family and friends like it. I would never go on my own. there are plenty of other restaurants that I prefer over Cafe Rio.
Convenient on Colorado Blvd- fast service, and everything is made from scratch and assembled right in front of you made to order
food quality is very good but the front line assembly people need to be more efficient in their execution of the duties.... too slow for it to be a fast food mexican... if I gotta wait so much, I would like someone to either take my order or bring the food to my table... otherwise, this place is not going to be that attractive
My go to for fresh delicious Mexican food and ambience
Excelenté! Mexican comfort food! Try the salad since it comes with an amazing spicy ranch dressing. Sweet pork is my choice for meat. They make it quick and fresh. Lots of parking, clean restrooms, kid-friendly options. Try the mint lemonade!
Barbquoa the best
Food was fine, very dirty though. They need to not rush making food and clean
Generally I love Cafe Rio. This location was rather chintzy on the sweet pork on my burrito.
Pricey but really good.
Taco Tuesday the best
Horrible service. Their POS system is out of date and they cannot accept a chip card transaction. A manager doesn’t even understand how to manually enter a card when one of his employees did it for me just the other day! Who needs to be training who??
Always a creature of habit, I get the steak quesadillas. Also got a chicken taco and a horchata. Steak is tender. Food has great flavor.
Great food, long line but well worth it. Loved the food and great staff. Everyone was pleasant and efficient. I would recommend this restaurant.
They care about the quality of the food. Thanks guys.
Great service and amazing food the salsa was ok
Burritos are a little dry, but overall pretty good. Fairly quick service for how busy they are
I frequent Cafe Rio (about 3-4 times a week) and they have always done an excellent job with my orders. I both order through the app, and in person. The crew works extremely efficiently and cashiers are always friendly and smile. Even when it's super busy, it's always fun to be there because it feels like the people working there are having fun working together.
First off let me say I have an allergy to food with wheat in it, and I understand my options are limited when eating out. But... three times in a row I have been here and they have not had corn tortillas. Like what kind of Mexican restaurant doesn’t have corn tortillas?? And the food in general is going downhill. Super frustrating. All I wanted was some enchiladas. I will be sending my business to costa vida. Much more gluten free friendly.
Great place for tacos!
The churros and queso is AMAZING. The tacos are a beautiful creation!!
Fresh. Fast. Delicious quality food items. Great authentic beverage selections.
Multiple times the staff doesnot follow health code. Team member rushed my order and gave me very poor servings. Then proceeded to touch the register with the gloves and then serve the next guest. Watching from my parking spot and she is helping the 3rd and 4th guest with the same gloves. Dirty towels everwhere
My friend and I come here every week! The customer service is great!! They know our names and are like friends now! They are great!!! Love coming here!
Good food. Place smells like pee
Love that they have Horchata. Nice meals, helpful staff, good portions and fresh ingredients.
Delicious Mexican food!
I was happy it was in Fort Collins . In Manhattan Beach, CA you wait in line on Taco Tuesday. Best delicious secret in the Fort. Wonderful fresh Mex food.
Second time going here it's pretty good , super quick and fresh.
Very quick service, Just don't arrive too late at night or you won't be able to get specialty drinks.
I love Cafe Rio! I always describe it as the Subway of Mexican food because you go through a line and pick all of the ingredients that you want just like at Subway. I have only had one bad experience there and the managers immediately made it right. If you do frequent this restaurant, I would highly recommend downloading their app and filling out their reviews. Both of these are very easy to do and have saved me a ton of money over time.
Love it is a great place to eat and have a good time.
This is a bad Chipotle knock off. Not understanding how everything can be so bland.
Great food and great service. No issues at all, though one of the workers did not know about some new menu items so maybe train better!
Love, love love the pork sakad
The food is delicious and they make it right in front of you! Highly recommend!
Delicious quick and affordable
Started out as a Utah original, now making it's way across the nation. The sweet pork anything is tough to beat. My favorite is the tostada salad with half pork/half chicken (you get a generous portion of meat this way), extra pick and a large side of the house ranch dressing. Life changing. You're Welcome.
Satisfying, delicious hits the spot.
While the food is good, the service has something to be desired. There have many numerous times we've come to get some food to have waited in line and they run out of steak, grilled chicken, tortillas, etc... and haven't even had any already cooking or ready to go for the next customer.
Great survive
Very good food. Never disappointed. Good portions fir the cost. Fresh tortillas are the best.
Excellent food. Great customer service.
The best food in the history of ever
Daily special was suppose to be a hot dish Frido (?) and the portion looked nothing like the picture, portion size was very small, and the noodles were cold. They make fresh tortilla's in front of you, but none with the special
Awesome customer service, amazing Mexican food!
I've been to a lot of "Americanized" Mexican food restaurants and I am Mexican and come from Hispanic background and this is the closest to real authentic Mexican food and one serving/meal fills you for the rest of the day.
Good service and good food. The service is usually very fast.
Nice atmosphere, good food, , and friendly service! #
Nastiest restrooms in Missoula! Every single time I’ve been here, restrooms are disgusting.
Good food. Kind of pricey though
Overall I like it. It's sort of a Tex-Mex twist. But the food is really tasty and actually the homemade drinks that they make over there a really decent. I would go back.
One of my little favorite spots. They closed the one back home but they got them everywhere else! Good location.
Great food and great service.
Good food. Fast and affordable. Staff kinda rushes ya though.
Fast, and Fresh. Love this place
The food was great but the service is lacking. They try to go so fast and dont always listen. Part of our order was just missing and had to be remade.
Busy place... staff was funny (sang to customers), but food was not as expected .
Nice drinks
Asked for beef, got sweet pork. My wife asked for sweet pork on her salad and got chicken. Her salad came with two dressings for some reason, when we didn’t ask for extra. Later saw on the receipt they charged us $1 for it. Bad experience, decent food.
I LOVE Café Rio. I go there at least once a week. I was visiting from out of town and went to this location. Never will I ever go back. Very unclean. Food spills everywhere. Garbage everywhere. Serving area was filthy and had spills everywhere. Not one part of this store was clean. VERY disappointed.
By far the worst cafe Rio I've ever been to. I once waited for 20 minutes and there was only two people in front of me, and after 20 minutes they screwed up the other lady's order so she just left. There is always like 3 people working in there, and only one person is helping customers so they are super slow. Also they always forget what goes on top of their meals and leave stuff out. That's what you get when a bunch of college students are managing a restaurant by themselves. I love the food at cafe Rio but this place has a lot of improving to do.
Nice place to visit. Food is also well,if you have the app it's even better it allows you to save money.
Good grub, kinda dirty tho. The trash is ALWAYS overflowing and the floor around the pop machine is sticky. However, the food is good and well made plus got can sit outside and feel the diesels roll by on the main road. What's not to love!
Fresh made tortillas good Mexican food. Subway style line for assembly. It was Taco Tuesday less than $2 each.
Freshly made tortillas! Yum!
Yum! It's in my top ten list of places to eat. I cant get enough. Pork salad with the cilantro lime dressing every time.
I like this place and I eat here often. They sometimes let the mint limeade run dry and it takes about 10 minutes to get more made. They are a great option for carryout orders and have a separate line for carryout pickup orders. On weekends and during rushes the order line can be miles long and noisy inside due to crowd and no carpet or sound absorbing decor. This is intentional so you eat quick and leave before your ears ache thus making space for the next customer.
Large portions, great fast service! Enough for two meals if your not a big eater like myself.
As cliche as it is to rate Cafe Rio with 5 stars, this place has genuinely great food that is worth the relatively high price. They have specials, but I can never bring myself to use them when faced with the alternative of a big burrito smothered in habanero salsa.
Fresh, healthy, fast food in a clean & colorful atmosphere. It’s delicious & well-priced. Great discounts for military/police/firefighters. Great app to earn/use points. My only complaint is that we’re often handed the wrong order if we call ahead, so we always go through the line instead.
Cafe Rio is the good version of Costa Vida... love the melted cheese on the tortilla in the salad bowl. Love the house made dressing! Definitely a hearty meal!
The woman behind the counter is the most stupid person ever to live!! She didn't know what was going on. So slow with everything.
Amazing food good price
Absolutely AWFUL!! Had to take home daughters quesadilla to remake and even add CHEESE! It's a freaking quesadilla and it didn't have the main ingredient. Perfect time for that meme, " You had one job...." Need I say more. I'm not even going to take the time to write everything else. Costa Vida is putting Cafe Rio to shame.
Cafe Rio...need we say more. Just found out they were in Orlando and had to come get the pork barbacoa salad. We drove from Atlanta for a weekend vacation and this was our first stop. Great staff at this location. Food is just like we had in Utah. We will be back!
This place was really good. Clean and with excellent service. They were so helpful. The tortillas we very fluffy and delicious. They also have a free quesadilla for ninos! So cool. The look and feel of the restaurant was really neat. I will try this again.
Yuck. I did not like their food. This is a good place for late night stoned college kids to fill their bellies with low quality food
I don’t think they will ever get an order right even if there was only one. I never seen a restaurant so dirty plus the workers there are not friendly AT ALL! I would recommend going to costa vida next time
Costumer service was less then amazing
Apparently if slow after 8 PM the wont cook any more food, and if you walk in at 8.45 the will make you wait in line to let you know ...no rice no pork no pico no nothing thanks for wasting my time... used to take my entire crew here for lunch. From #240 to $300 Will find another place thanks
I usually go for lunch, and it's awesome! I took my kids for dinner the other night and it wasn't as good. I'm hoping it was just a chance thing. My shredded chicken tostada had lukewarm chicken in it and soggy vegetables so it was practically swimming at the bottom tortilla, and the horchata (yummy rice milk drink) was out and it took them until I was done eating to refill it. We go often enough that I earn the rewards in the app and get $10 credit every couple months. It's really a good deal for fresh food, and my kids love the free Niño quesadilla and orange slice. We will keep coming back and hope the food and service improves.
Delicious food, okay service. The forms behind the counter were a bit apathetic when it came to questions or the rewards app, but my order was correct and delicious!
Good food, large portions, good prices. Tables are sticky.
Great place! Food and drinks were delicious! Very friendly staff! Will come back!
Good food, but no Powerade
This location is cutting back on portions. Food is still good. Service is still good but I’m a little disappointed that they are giving less for the same price.
Love their sweet pork salad but everything is so many calories.
Super yummy food! Love this place! The serving sizes are always really big. They even have an app through which you can get deals.
Loved their taco Tuesday special.
Ingredients are fresh, your order is made right in front of you and you choose what goes on it. Line was long but it moved fast. All was good.
It's pretty good
Good food, excellent service! I just love the place.
Excellent food and friendly staff!
Pretty good serving size, it was certainly inexpensive enough for everything. We liked it.
Great flavors... My personal favorite is the Chicken Taco Salad... With a drink from the drink bar (Your choice of many flavorful drinks - all no-alcohol and are make your own with free refills). The atmosphere is great... the staff are professional... For some reason the tables are all sticky, or I would have given 5 stars. :)
Can't go wrong...
This is the third timethatI've been to this Cafe Rio and ordered extra Tomatillo and a pint of Tomatillo on the side and haven't gotten either. I now have food that isn't going to get eaten because of it.
Café Río sells quality food but it is a tad expensive.
I love this place! The food always tastes very fresh. Love the salads!
Great Mexican food, good service, good ice, and skinny straws. Cannot be beat!
This place is quite good in many ways. However, I just can't give a 5-star rating to a Mexican place that uses converted rice. Their rice is just terrible. Aside from that, the service tends to me pretty quick despite long lines, the service is friendly, the drink selection is very good, the tortillas are freshly made, and sweet pork is amazing.
Food is consistently good with lots of choices. Fast service.
excellent food
Great service and great quality food. Price is a little high but I feel.you get what you pay for so that being said they've never disappointed me.
I have always enjoyed Cafe Rio
Didn’t know they expanded outside of Utah. 20 years later still one of my favorite restaurants.
Rice was a bit undercooked but other than that it was great.
Always nice to eat for cheap with their Tuesday specials.
Delicious as always.
This place is pretty good. I like their food, their super fast, and the employees are pretty friendly. The only thing I don't like is the prices. Everything is always so overpriced.
Dear cafe rio, it would be nice if the inside of your restaurant was warmer than eating outside on this mid October night.
An average Cafe Rio location with good food and sometimes a line. They have a restroom but on my visit it wasn't that clean. Traffic depending on time of day can be frustrating but I feel like the delicious salad is worth it.
To compare Cafe Rio to Chipotle but with sauce, would be a gross and unfair mistake. They serve fully packed burritos covered with flavorful sauce that compliments the contents of every flavor packed tortilla wrapped bundle as a whole. They serve standard fountain drinks as well as a reasonable selection of (non-alcoholic) drinks made in house like horchata and sangria lemonade. They do a decent and brisk business here and the food is something I enjoy. Stop in and give it a try.
Great food and service!! Place was dirty and dusty in many corners and the bathroom.
Love their food. But they’re either super slow because they can’t keep up with the line or there’s no one in there and they’re out of everything.
Sweet pork tacos are amazing. Homemade tortillas are super; much better than packaged. Fast service, many options with good sized portions.
Freaking in love with their sweet pork. I have a problem. Even better for students up here. $2 tacos if you bring your student ID.
Everything is good except the Sunday special. The specialty lemonades are great. The service is great.
Best tortillas anywhere
Before even starting my order I watched the cashier be rude over a missing nino on a different customer's order. The communication between the first employee and the cashier/line employee, involving what we wanted to order was not there. When I asked to add beans and rice on my tacos I got looked at like I was crazy. Then she stood and waited to add the rice and beans until I answered her pico and lettuce questions. I tried to explain to her the order my children wanted their food prepared and she was simply rude. She proceeded to put my rice and beans on the side not in my tacos. I was originally charged for 3 taco meals at the register. When I explained to the cashier that the food was put in separate tins for convenience to feed my children she continued to aruge with me saying that they were complete meals cause they all had rice and beans on the side. I reminded her that I didn't ask for them on the side, I simply wanted a bit of rice and beans in each tacos, equivalent to a spoonful of each. The total amount of rice and beans not even coming close to a side. She then said she would just charge me for two sides in addition to my 3 tacos. I tried to explain that I didn't ask for sides, and that was her mistake in adding them to my plate. At this point my family is ansy. I paid and sat down to feed my family and to look at the receipt. I returned to the cashier and explain that even after paying for the three tacos I felt that she still over charged me for my total meal. She got sassy and I walked away seeing that I was getting no where with her. This was a terrible experience at this restaurant. All staff unfriendly. The rice was also undercooked. The cashier and other employees performed food trading, cupcakes, at the cashier counter. While I was standing in front of of the cashwrap waiting for the cashier to ring me up. This was not only rude, but the food, cupcakes, coming through the kitchen is probably against health and food codes.
We love Cafe Rio. In particular, the sweet pork salad with Tomatillo Ranch dressing. In fact, I enjoy everything I've had there. They offer a smothered burrito which is nice and a free kids meal.
Better than chipotle! Hand made tortillas.
Person size is nuts. Was good but kinda salty.
Good food & service. Need to clean tables in a timely manner.
The pork salad there is something I crave! And the home made tortillas are incredible!
A great place for a family meal!
Great food. It gets busy at times. Although wait times are at a minimum. Usually come here 2× a week.
Great food and service.
Great location. Lots of parking. Clean restaurant. Fast service. The employees sing a song depending on what you order. They put orange slices on the kids ninos (don’t do that in Utah). Definitely recommend this place.
Fast, tasty. Excellent service. I've had tacos, taco salads, tostadas and burritos. All have been fantastic. I usually go for beef or pork, black beans and hots sauce. Their ranch is EPIC!
Big portions. Queso is pretty good. Prices too high for quality of food.
Good.... burritos keep getting smaller
Food and customer service was great! They were out of sweet pork so the manager gave me my meal for free.
Great plane for a quick meal. The handmade tortillas are simply the best!
Quick, delicious, great daily specials and rewards program
This place gives me stomach cramps and diarrhea
Usually I always have issues with getting enough guac but the last time I went the girl put guac in both of my tacos and it was awesome!!! I wish that was everytime.
Never disappoints! Fabulous food & service.
The salad is soooo bomb
Well worth the money. Fresh ingredients make this a plus.
Fast, delicious, and reasonably priced. Two chicken enchiladas with hot sauce. Can't go wrong Café Rio.
Good food and customer service is great. I’ve never had a bad meal here.
Poor customer service and it seems like the quality of food and portions went down hill compare to 5 years ago. They gave me the wrong order, the manager started asking me questions like a job interview. Language barrier, poor communication and poor attention to details. The order taker just wants you out of the line quickly. They don't even pay attention to what you ask for. They don't let you say what you want and how you want it, they don't even wrap the burrito. Their goal is to empty the line of customers ASAP. The manager was really good at stating precisely that she is the manager, 3 times along with asking baseless questions about my meal return. The shrimp used to be grilled, now it's breaded and seems frozen. Will never eat there again and will not recommend it to anybody.
The food was pretty good but the guy that made my burrito didn't ask me if i wanted any toppings and just wrapped it up with only meat, rice and beans. Then as I was checking out his coworker brought up in Spanish how he always makes peoples burritos wrong, I guess they thought I didn't speak Spanish. So they didn't even like offer to make me a new one or anything. The food was good but it looks like some assembly is required.
Delicious, you get awesome deals, close to college campus, so tons of youth, usually crowded, awesome burritos!
This is a real 5 star. The price per value and overall flavor are top notch. I cook pretty well and go to a lot of restaurants. Trust me when I say you will not regret this place. If this is your first time I highly recommend a sweet pork salad.
I've been going to this restaurant in other locations for over 15 years. The food is always good. Just seems that any time I visit this location, they've run out of something.
I enjoyed the food immensely! Great portions to price ratio, and still delicious!
Our favorite place to eat. They have whole wheat tortillas, it has a casual atmosphere so I can feel comfortable taking the kids and they are reasonably priced. They also have an app that can get you free food.
OMG! If I could give it 10 stars I would. Explosive, mouth watering flavors. I absolutely love this place.........
Delicious salads and chicken is so flavorful! Wish they had a bigger place to eat inside. There is seating inside and outside.
Dysfunctional. Dull. Poor customer service
We love Café Rio and have been coming here for years. It's been the last handful of times though our service has been lackluster. When calling in they have either got the order completely wrong or when we come in they are extremely slow, even with a short line. The employees appear to have no pride in giving good service and hate their job. That negative attitude is reciprocated towards the customers. They have raised their prices a few times over the last few years, which is fine, but they now give you less food. That is the worst when companies do that. Generally rude employees and consistently bad service equals won't be going back until management changes.
I first went to this place in Cali, So on my quest to share great food I took some of my family there that hasn't ever eaten there before and of course it was just as good!! But the reason I gave it 4 starts was cuz it was so damn crowded like the line was put the door!! I suggest you use the app and order it before!! Also I suggest the wet burrito
So yummy!! You can order enchiladas, tacos and burritos. I would recommend you try the barbacoa beef tacos and get some guacamole...they make it fresh and the tacos have a sweet hint added to them. They do offer kids quesidillas for free for kids under 6. I would definitely try the chimachuri sauce one of the best we've had. Overall, good atmosphere, great prices and excellent food. We'll be back for sure!!
We love Cafe Rio! They never disappoint. Well, I take that back. I like fish tacos but not when you use salmon. That is just wrong.
Great place to eat, portions are big so bring your appetite.
It's very hard to find a chain restaurant with food that tastes like it came from a high quality Mexican kitchen. For $15 you get more food than you can eat, some great drink choices, and probably the best key lime pie you've ever had. Plus they're open a little later than almost every other fast casual joint. Seriously, I love this place so much. I'm hungry just writing this review.
Food is amazing! It's fun to be able to watch them make the tortillas while waiting in line. The staff is friendly and helpful. They also have unique and delicious drinks. Excellent place to eat, and you'll most likely walk out with food to take home for later.
Love it
I use to love it but recently found a bug in my food and it was treated like no big deal so now I won't be eating there again.
Delicious food that makes me want to go back more than I should
I had the WORST service ever just now! The girl who was making my burrito didn’t put enough rice so I asked kindly for extra rice. She rolled her eyes at me and slapped the rice on with no care at all! Then she proceeds to hand it to her coworker. I’m telling him what I want and he FORGETS what I just said! I had to repeat myself multiple times as he kept forgetting what I just said to him 5 seconds ago! I took the burrito to go. When I got home I took a bite and instantly threw it away it was nasty! Get better service!
Fast, cheat, and good... who says you can't have it all?
Tasty. Would have liked to have had more vegetable options and vegetarian options such as tofu. However the vegetarian salad was delicious none the less. This restaurant was clear and staff were friendly and smiling.
Rice undercooked. Orders messed up. And I spent almost fifty bucks for all our food. Ice cold meat products, forgot to include our house dressings in our order. Never received replacement coupons like they said. Dirty fountain area.
I love cafe Rio. Their salads are delicious. However their service is only mediocre and they run out of ingredients quickly.
Yummy and quick. I love the homemade tortillas. I'm soooo glad I found this place. I'm definitely a returning customer now
Top customer service, and the menu options are endless for tex-mex. Usually pretty busy, but I always take that as a good sign, in that they must be doing something right
This place is very dirty. Mold in the drink machines. Tables were nasty. And service was horrible.
Expensive though
I live this place. I est here all the time it good food and good atmosphere. I eat like I haven't eaten before when I go here
Probably the WORST meal I have had in years of traveling across this great country of ours. Not counting the times I got food poisoning. I ordered a steak burrito enchilada style. The medium hot sauce was no where near medium but it had a pleasant sweet taste. The guacamole was dark, dark green as if getting old enough to toss. Everything inside the burrito was good except the chopped steak. When I bit into that section that contained the meat I also got a mouthful or clump of the spice they use on the steak. I spit it out and kept on eating. The second time it happened I threw it all away. Whoa, never again. Actually there is a lesson in a second kick... there will be a third, count on it.
Our favorite place to eat out!
When it comes to oversized burritos, there are better options in town. However, the variety of different drink options make it worth stopping by if all you want is to split some nachos with some friends and enjoy some fresh orchata. Sadly they don't offer beer.
Y.U.M. we loved the burrito and Taco Tuesday, delicious tacos.
Yummy! Good value!
Its the best Mexican grill in the world I would go there every day to eat all there meal if I could that's how great it is.
Was ok..bit pricey for lunch... good rice & black beans & queso is really good .Daily special is a good deal includes a drink. If u want a smaller portion for lunch get the kids meal ...includes a drink, also. Bobby is very helpful and a great employee!!
Large amounts of food for a good price. The amount of food is sooooooo large that I think I ate a bit too much ahaha
Love this food! I gave it a 4 because the staff at this location is noticably less friendly than at other locations. It felt a little like the I was "bothering them" by being there. (BOTH times I visited.) Kind of a bummer. Otherwise it would be 5 stars
The new Cafe Rio is a huge step up. Much better food, especially the steak.
Three stars because the food is delicious but the service is so terribly slow. I’ve been to other locations and where they crank you through the line, even during lunch hours. Here there are two employees slowly working while four others just stand there and watch.
Good food. Friendly service.
Great food. 2 tacos was more than enough I definitely had leftovers the staff was very friendly. The only downside is we dined in and there was a strong urine odor, I'm not sure if it was from the restroom or from the highchairs but it was enough for me to be ready to leave the restaurant.
Walked in and walked right out. Dirty and horrible smell. No attention to cleanliness.
Excellent food, good service
Service was really out of control, pushy and not at all concerned
Fresh food. Always delicious.
Portions are big but sometimes the chicken is over cooked. The staff is nice and very quick.
This is my go-to stop when I am hungry and don't have very much time.
Food tasted great!
We ordered 5 meals for takeout using the online app which made it super easy. We paid online & added the double points using the Cafe Rio app. Fast, easy, delicious.
They always load their food up. Never had a bad mela here. You get a good amount of bang for your buck and it's all fresh.
I came during military appreciation day/night and the wait was a little longer than normal but it was worth it! The food was excellent and I really appreciate Cafe Rio honoring the military.
Great food, quick
Great for wildland fire fighters! If you show your red card you get half off, which means a full meal (that fills a fire fighter up) for under $5! Very quick service as well
Good food and dining area. Portions are too big for one person who doesn't want leftovers. Chips would be better if served warm.
Smaller portions than shown on their website but still very tasty.
Best Mexican food in town. Everything is delicious. Great service.
It was awful. That has to be the worst Mexican food I ever had. Super bland, no flavor what so ever. Black beans were as close to raw as you could get without actually being raw. Rice was terribly unflavorful. Won't be trying them again. :(
The food tastes good. It's too loud here to have a conversation without yelling. The line moves very fast. Most of the time the employees are friendly, but there is very little interaction with them.
I love the tortillas at Cafe Rio they taste homemade - I have ordered tortillas on the side to take home. The tacos and burritos are good as well. I come here for lunch fairly often since it is close to work, I recommend coming before 11:45 or you will spend over 15 minutes in line and then once you get to order your food you will be rushed. They do not ask you if you would like a drink and barely give you the chance to say your toppings or if you would like guacamole. Last time I got the horchata it was chunky.
This is one of my ho to eating places in Fort Collins and anywhere else I find one. Always good fresh food with fantastic flavor. Love the sweet pork on anything. Great selection of soft drinks also.
Really nice set up and the staff is very nice. It's a nice atmosphere and unless it is SUPER busy, they get your food out to you in good time. They have an ongoing deal of $1.95 tacos on Tuesdays as well as deals for students of the nearby college. Good location in regards to campus, housing, and other businesses not to mention, great taste!!
Can be confusing when ypu order your food and the prices are different
Good food, reasonable prices, I've never had a long wait.
Their pricing is generally high, specifically for tacos. For only two tacos with chicken and a side of rice and beans, it is $13. For the same amount you can get their burrito which is twice the amount of food. If they fixed this pricing issue, it’d be 5 stars.
Cafe Rio has the fastest fresh to order Mexican foods. You always get to see how your food is made and you decide what you want in your order. I always get chicken quesadillas and burritos for my family. We love this place.
I really wish I could give this Cafe Rio 5 stars. The staff here is some and they really took care of me. I love eating at Cafe Rio so I ordered a burrito online. When I went to pick it up, the restaurant was out of almost everything I wanted. They did try to call me but I didn't answer since I didn't recognize the number. In the end, the team made things right by offering me a free meal and the food was delicious as always. It's just annoying when you want a specific item from the menu and they're out.
30 minute wait to order our food. Workers are rude and snappy. They all have a bad attitude. The lemonade and horchata were out and they refuse to refill it
Love Cafe Rio but the service here can be iffy
Always enjoy my visit here.
I love all the food, but the tomatillo sauce is my favorite!
Over priced!!! You can go to a nice Mexican Restuarant and get better and more food for the same price. Quesadilla which is a tortilla with cheese over ten dollars. No rice or beans. They Nickel and dime you for extras. The kids meal is nothing more than the free quesadilla which is so little bit they charge $5. The competitors are much better.
Food was cold service sucked and if we could give a 0 star I would!
Really good food and fast service!
Slow disorganized sloppy serving area
The customer service at this place is infuriating. It works like an assembly line, which is fine if done right, but you can tell they don't give a damn about customers from their attitude, and how they literally don't care if they get the orders right. Today the lady couldn't understand the concept of me wanting dressing on my lettuce, so instead threw the salad dressing right on top of my burrito and rushed me to the register. Then i expressed my displeasure at the register and told them i probably wouldn't be eating it that way. No sorry, no let me remake that for you. All i got was charged full price and the comment "You would be surprised how many people like it that way". This place is a joke, and if i owned this location i would be ashamed of the way i treat customers.
Amazing food. Worth the drive from Tampa. I get the tomatillo ranch ok n everything.
Great casual place to grab some incredible tacos or enchiladas made fresh in front of you. For a few bucks more you can skip Taco Bell and enjoy some fresh incredible roast beef, pork, or chicken tacos at Cafe Rio.
One of the best places in town I have ate at.
Tuesday’s at Cafe Rio - the only place to eat. And the food is so, so, so yummy! The pork quesadilla!!!!
Great place good food lots of parking. Take a friend and get some good food.
Honestly it was very expensive for the amount of food you got and it was not flavorful or anything that was very outstanding not very good ready I Won't Go Back KO
Wonderful food and the cashier was super nice but the two girls making the food had a little bit of an attitude, we all have bad days though.
Delicious food and a very kind, helpful staff!!
I am not a big fan of pork and that seems to be what everyone talks to me about when it comes to Cafe Rio. I have been here about 10 times because my family really likes the place, but I have yet to find an entree that I like. The steak just does not have a good flavor for me. The tortillas are great, but that is about all I like on their menu. If you like pulled pork though, I would recommend this place because that is what everyone recommends to me, I just do not like it.
Always delicious.
Go on Tuesday. 5.99 for like tacos or burritos or taco salad. Great deal!
Cafe Rio is my staple for a taco salad. I love their pork, and they are great about giving me a substantial serving (I tell them to put more on, and they do not disappoint). It's also fun to watch them make their shells while you wait in line. The staff is always friendly and the food is good. The portions are large, so you get a good deal.
Good food. Reminds you of Tex-Mex. It’s nice that you can build your own. The meat was really good.
Hands down my favorite restaurant! The chain is mostly found in the west US, so we were so happy when they started building them in Orlando! You HAVE to try the sweet pork burrito done enchilada style (sauce and cheese melted on top). Inside the burrito, get: rice, black beans, sweet pork, mild sauce, and cheese; then make it enchilada style. It comes with lettuce and pico on the side, which is also delish. I get this almost literally every single Friday night when we come here. Their phone app has great rewards: for every $100 spent (100 points) you get a $10 reward to spend, but they run promotions all the time for 2x or 3x points or 20 extra bonus points for a purchase, so you rack up the points a lot faster than spending $100.
Definitely an American version of Mexican food, but all the meals are fresh and tasty, great serving sizes for the price, and the service was friendly and personable. It's a reliable favorite for us, and very filling. I recommend the daily special. It's a great deal that includes a drink. We love the mint limeade and the horchata!
Good place to eat for a quick bite
Very fun place and great restaurant
The young man that took my order and rang me up was very kind and helpful. Hope the company values him as an employee.
Love the pork. Unfortunately the rice is always undercooked and sometimes the beans are as well.
Good food for the price
Food is great but online ordering not so good
I just love it! Food is great! Service is awesome!
We visited Cafe Rio this past Saturday 2/9/19 and the food was awesome however I observed a lot of cross contamination via dripping from serving spoons into bowls containing other foods. The music was also too loud and it seemed really cold.
Love this place!!! Food and staff are excellent. Recommend the chicken salad with the cilantro lime dressing.
If we come in to eat our order is always correct if we order pick up i would say i could almost guarentee something is messed up or missing.
Very consistent. Consistently good.
Great food not a lot of options price is a little high but the food is fresh
Salmon
food is good but service can be improved
Orders have been less consistently well prepared than my years of experience at the Billings, MT location. Most recently the lettuce was barely in one of the two tacos. Neither had the taco meat spread evenly across the taco.
Food is fine, no complaints there. 90% of the time though I wait in line for over 15 minutes and the people on the line are the slowest Cafe Rio workers I have ever seen. Pick up the pace kiddos. ;)
Decent food but lacking in meat and flavor. Better than surrounding options.
Great food at a good price everything was reasonable and really good
Love Cafe Rio! The only reason it gets 4 stars is the queso is wayyyy too spicy now. I used to only go for the queso but now I cant even eat it
Nothing to brag about up charges on everything
Taco Tuesdays are
Someone ordered food for me was running late for a meeting it was my first time here so I just asked them to pick anything that has a chicken taco and rice and beans. But the three stars for the uncooked rice, it literally was hard like it was boiled for two minutes and put on the tray.
Food was very good, service was good.
Good taste better than Chipotle !!!
I like the atmosphere when I walked in, it was nice and organized. As I walked up to see the menu, it was little hard to understand what all was included in the food. I ordered a steak burrito quite similar to other places, but the slight difference was that they don't add the veggies into the burrito. Instead, they added it to the side. I had to take it to go so they sealed it in a tin container for me. When I got home to eat, I had to put the veggies into the burrito. It was a big mistake. Once I've opened it, I had a hard time trying to eat it. It wouldn't stay together. After a few bites in, I was not impressed with the food. It was quite bland even with the mild salsa they put on the side for me.
Very long line too forever, but it was fine and fun! Staff passed a game with tortillas and great conversations all around! Long line... Worth it!
Super fresh and gigantic portions!
Clean, fast, great price.
Great food. Avoid going on Taco Tuesday, they often run out of ingredients and are extremely busy with college students.
Good stuff
If your in the military then this is the place to go on a Monday! 50 % off everything. Decent food, good portion sizes , just expect to wait in line as they make your food. A little skimpy on the queso but it's still good. The staff are polite, if it's not Monday and your not military, then the price is a little high in my opinion. The closest thing your going to get to a Chipotle or Qdoba in the middle of Montana.
My favorite is the pork salad!! House dressing! Get on their rewards program! Free money for buying food! Free kids quesadilla with any purchase. Call ahead ordering is the best!!!
Good food
Checked out cafe Rio for lunch very nice place. the ambience and food is similar to a chipotle or a Tijuana flats. A bit too pricey as compared to similar restaurants....you might get high blood pressure from the sodium content in the food.
Great food for a reasonable price! sadly there wasn’t working lights outside in the seating area, but regardless food was Amazing!
Even when the line is out the door it's worth the wait! Great food, great service, it's the best place I've been too in a really long time. Highly recommend!!
Cafe Rio food is always fabulous, but the service at this specific location was really poor. They completely fouled up our order and basically shrugged it off because they were too busy to worry about it.
My first time at this restaurant and I was super impressed. I love Chipotle but this place while similar in style had much better, fresher food in my opinion. The ambience was better and the staff were really upbeat and pleasant. Can't wait to try more of their food.
Café Rio...great fast casual "Mexican" food. This location...not the greatest, lacks spirit. Employees are less than enthused to serve you and some have the charm I'd expect any MS-13 gang member would have. Once stood waiting for them to take my family's order without any sort of acknowledgement for several minutes. Not a single "Be right with you" or anything. I've been to better locations where the employees make the experience more inviting and fun.
Being a chef all my adult life, my food usually has a twist. At Cafe Rio, the employees granted me everything I asked. Therefore, the food fit my palate exquisitely. Didn't hear one unsatisfied remark. Using the present day happy scale, I would have given them six star if there was another.
We were driving through town looking for a good Mexican restaurant to eat. We had been eating in several restaurants throughout our 3 week Rd. trip. Our experience with the staff was unpleasant. They were in a bad mood and treated us like we were an inconvenience . Their body language and attitude was unacceptable. If it weren’t because my family was extremely hungry, we would’ve left immediately. Later in the car my husband and children told me the girl preparing their food tossed them their plates onto the tray rudely. When we started eating, the food was under cooked and it was missing flavor. The restrooms were very dirty and the windows could use a cleaning to look out side. If I wouldn’t have read previous reviews on the location, I probably would’ve gone through a drive-through at Taco Bell and got better food and service. Not worth the money I paid.
I don't like to put down a restaurant but when the truth is the truth,,,,, well. I will never eat at this restaurant ever again. If you watch how they cook their food. The first thing I noticed was no concerns for cross contamination between the fish, the chicken, the pork and beef. There is no concerns for cross contamination between their vegetables and rice or beans. Now granted this last cross contamination is not as worry some as the raw meat cross contamination but still not good. Now the surface of the restaurant may look clean but when you start looking at the undersides of things, tables, soda machine, counters etc etc you will get an idea of how dirty this restaurant really is. I'm sure if the public areas are this bad I can only imagine how bad the undersides of the kitchen areas really are. I myself have gotten sick three times from eating here. The first time I wasn't quite sure if it was them or not. The second time and the third time I got sick I am absolutely positively sure it was the food from Cafe Rio. Now let's get to the service. The best I can say is that the service here is spotty. Some days you will get excellent service. Other days you will get the absolute worst service. I hate to say it but the best thing that could happen at Cafe Rio would be a complete reset of product, utensils and personnel. Not to mention a complete disinfectant of the entire place from bottom to top.
Fresh and tasty. Team members work well together when busy. Great spacious dining area. Fantastic location. We'll definitely be back
Caitlyn the cashier was THE sweetest human alive! She was so patient with my friend and I since this was our first time! Told us about the app and all the rewards! She needs a raise!!!!
So delicious. Really fast service. I love the food it is so flavorful and freshly made right before your eyes. The outdoor seating is quaint and indoor is a fun quirky vibe that blends well with the Missoula aesthetic of fun and warm. Their watermelon limeade is to do for too. YUM
I tried the phone order pick up line and they literally took so long to make the food!!! About 30 minutes total! I could have gone through the line 4 times before they had my pick up order ready! The reason people do the order line is because they are in a hurry! I feel like they could be more efficient in this area. Great food though!!
I usually love this place, but they’ve changed a few things. I love the salads usually because it comes with guacamole... not at this branch. Seemed to have less meat that normal but way more lettuce. Also very little cheese on my tortilla. And the rice was firm and undercooked. My daughter doesn’t like cheese, so she gets a flour tortilla with just meat. They were out of steak... which I won’t fault them for. We ordered the fire grilled chicken. She got a cold tortilla with cold chicken. My sons quesadilla was melted and the tortilla browned, but his grilled chicken was also cold. I’m not sure if they are trying to cut costs, but if ingredients are more expensive. I’d rather pay more to get the same menu. Also, use the oven please and get the meat hot. Maybe it was just an off night.
A little slower than I hoped for but the taste was well worth the wait.
Great meal and awesome experience. Today while eating my meal I was able to witness a gentleman pay for meals for 5 military members. Each of the 5 went and thanked him personally, but it was just great to see. I was going to thank him as well, but more people showed up to have lunch with him, his wife and daughter so I didn't want to interrupt their time, but if you are reading this by chance, you sir, are the reason I served my 20 in the Air Force. Thank you from the three retired Sergeants that were sitting behind you today. You made us feel proud for your actions to 5 complete strangers.
nachos are pretty basic, but I'll admit I was impressed that it's not just a overpriced ground beef nachos tray. Everything has flavor, nothing in this lit my mouth on fire like some places seasonings do, and they didn't load it up with lettuce either. Definitely a nice place that throws competition to Moe's and Chipotle.
Got several dinners for take out since we were feeding a lot of family helping move some of our kids. Even with a lot of people in line, the ordering went smoothly and the food was great! Everyone was SO happy to see me pull up with Cafe Rio! Thanks for running an efficient establishment that provides great food!!
This is hands down one of our favourite mexican restaurants. We always make a point to stop here on our way from Canada. The food is always fresh and yummy and the selection of drinks makes the whole meal. Can't wait until our next visit.
Tried it for the first time today. Really enjoyed it. Everything is really full of flavor will definitely be back again
Every time I come here, they have terrible service. When I went there tonight, a lot of the staff were absolutely miserable and made it very obvious. I asked them for a few toppings on my tacos, and they rolled their eyes at me and got it begrudgingly. Their horrible attitudes ruined the experience and made me feel uncomfortable just asking for some toppings. My husband never complains about service ever, but theirs is so bad that even he doesn't want to go back anymore. It's not just this time it's happened to me, it's every single time without fail. I'm so fed up with this place, so I'll be going somewhere else from now on. Their food isn't even that good, my tacos are always too soggy on the bottom from all the juices in the meat and pico. To top it all off, they gave my favorite sauce I ordered to another customer and told me they'd get me another one, but when I got home, there was no sauce. What a wonderful way to top off an evening. Just go to Costa Vida instead.
Yummy. Hot and fresh. Generous portions. Friendly staff. Will definitely be back
If you think a regular quesdilla with no sides or drink is worth 10 bucks then this is the place for you! For the other 99% find a different place to eat. I've never been more disappointed in a meal in my life. I'd rather gag on McDonald's.
Service was awful and food was ok. I won't be going back.
Good tacos
Good, fresh food, a little slower in service.
Good food, especially the sweet pork...
The service is awful, employees are rude and unprofessional. They are always out of something even when its dead and all they are doing is standing around. After giving it a second chance. I’ll save my money and go somewhere else.
Haven't eaten anything I didn't like so far.
It was delicious and fairly priced I literally stuff myself
No line. Saw at least 7 workers. Waited to order for 10 minutes. No one helped us. Decided to leave and go somewhere else. Very disappointing.
Food was good too bad the place was dirty specially the restrooms
Fresh made tortillas. Quality ingredients. Cafe Rio is quickly becoming a regular in our dining rotation. You get very good food for a fair price.
Great place for a vegan to have a fresh and healthy salad
Poor customer service Messy restaurant. Food is good.
A taste of something different. I liked it.
This was our first time in Cafe Rio and it will definitely not be our last!!!! We stopped in on the recommendation of friends and they were so right about this place. As a first timer it was a bit confusing as the menu is not easy to navigate (at least for us the first time) but the staff was super helpful and understood that we needed to ask some questions to get everything right. The food is made in front of you and all fresh ingredients which is so rare these days. Everything was wonderful, and my kids actually enjoyed everything they had and are begging to go back. If you are going - download the app before you get there and make sure to scan at checkout - points add up quick and they send specials and discounts. Oh, and if you order the chips - you do that at the register :-)
Very quick service and cute staff. Trendy crowd for sure and a good place for a busy work lunch. Sauce was hotter than I remember which is refreshing for Utah.
Great food. Tasty Tuesday where meals are half off.
So amazing! I really love their Taco Tuesday deal!! So good!
I like Cafe Rio on occasion but my visit here was very sub-par. The drinks were not good at all and the meal was just OK. It may have just been an off night but I wasn't impressed with the quality.
Always great food and great customer service !
Consistently good food at a decent price. The app has frequent enough deals to keep me coming back.
Line style eats, personal fave is the barbacoa pork, mmmmmm MMM. Worth the price. Fresh ingredients, huge portions.
Not bad. Fast food is always a gamble but this was fair. A little slow on cleaning the tables but overall clean place. Somewhat limited menu.
Cafe Rio food is always fabulous, but the service at this specific location was really poor. They completely fouled up our order and basically shrugged it off because they were too busy to worry about it.
I have never really liked their food. That being said, it is made fresh. It is expensive.
The flavor but portions could be bigger.
Really good food. Lots of great choices and always fresh ingredients! The portions are big and I usually take some home. Also a very cool selection of beverages,
Difficult to get in and out of the parking lot, but always worth it for Rio!
Nice peaceful place to eat with outside bar on the lake.
Terrible Customer Service. The people making the food were distracted and rude to customers. For example, they practically yell at you and are obnoxiously loud and the cashier was slow. The food was not the greatest either. I would give a lower rating but unfortunately that's not possible.
Taco Tuesday's deal is worth checking out along with tamales on Thursday.
The colorado boulevard location is just amazing
Pretty good food. I'm from CA and this would be a good place for a meal.
Always great food and amazing service. Definitely a favorite!
I ordered my food online at the location in bountiful. I showed up on time and found the online order line 6 people long. That was thirty minutes ago and there are still three people in front of me. They are way understaffed and the kids that are working don’t seem to care about how long the line is. I wish I could leave a zero star rating. Won’t ever come back to this location
Okay food
Not a big fan.. it was ok... seemed popular with the locals.
Good food nice people
Worst experience ever, no pork till after 2pm, no grilled steak till after 3:30pm, we was only able to order food with chicken in it. Will never bring my family back
First time trying. Omg the food was so tasty. We'll be looking for these restaurants again when travelling the US.
Gross chicken. The wait time was 30 min
Food was good, but customer service and presentation lacking compared to the new Eagle and State Street location. Being friendly and cutting up a quesadilla thoroughly can go a long way.
Way to busy and not as good as usual for some reason...
Costa Vida is hands down better food and friendlier staff. Didn’t even eat the burrito because the rice was hard and undercooked.
The regular food is great and the staff is super friendly and knows everything. The shrimp tacos are not the best by far. Not having any kind of recycling (nor compost) is making me not want to go there anymore.
Soo busy, all the time! It is probably because the food is sooo good! Maybe they should open another location. It was a really slow line and it was hard to understand the person taking my order, like always, because they are trying to go fast and it's loud. I love the food and because the portion is so big, the price point seems fair.
Normally really love this place, but today they were really off. Made my tostada with a soft tortia, because they were out of crispy, made it with huge hard to eat giant lettuce pieces, because they were out of chopped lettuce. Got charged extra for the first time ever by requesting the slightly larger size salad dressing. Then we love the fresh made specialty lemonade drinks. But 3 of the five were empty. Very dissatisfied. Might be time to try Costa Vida.
Sadly I make this review tonight we went in after 4 months since our last bad experience. Employees said "no one has come in for 2 hours" It was 9:15pm and we were the only one's that were there be sides employees. The tables were dirtier than a burger king in the South Bronx, garbage was coming out of the trash cans onto the floors. Spilt soda on the floor 4-5 puddles around the restaurant. Also liquid coming out of the trash cans. The music being played was Lose Yourself Eminen, Deepthroat by Cupcakke and No Worries by Lil Wayne.
It is fresh and delicious every time! The place is clean (even the restrooms) and gives good vibes!
Their food is very high quality. It's also very delicious! Go here!
Good food, especially the sweet pork. Not as good as Costa Vida but a little more convenient for students. This location is a little limited with its space as well so it doesn't offer some products that other locations do like lemon aids and what not.
Average Cafe Rio. Meaning that you must decide before getting in line, know exactly what you want, and make quick decisions. You go through subway style, so you can tell them exactly how much of everything you want. If you know how to order, Cafe Rio always delivers the best Tex Mex for an incredibly low price, and a large volume of food. The create your own drink bar is great and a definite must try. Definitely don't go with folks who are hard of hearing or elderly unless you can order for them.
Great food and customer service. The tortillas are made fresh and they are my favorite part of the meal. I finally tried a salad and I must say it is now my favorite thing! Don’t be scared, try the salad, you will not be disappointed!
Great food. God service
The food is fresh and delicious. Love this place!
I have eaten here before, but the service is always the same. Slow and rude. This particular time they were out of tortillas, and the girl who was supposed to start our order made us stand there for 10 minutes before she came to actually ask what we wanted to order. The food is way to over priced and mediocre to ever eat there again.
Chili roast beef tacos
Awesome food taco Tuesday
Expected something more upscale when we saw the facility from the street. Food and service were okay but not special.
Highly recommend the queso and chips
Awesome burrito. Ingredients are fresh and taste great. Rewards program is the best. I only wish there was more seating for that lunch rush!
Good food, not spicy enough but they have hot sauce. Friendly staff!
Fast and really good food. Plenty of room to sit down and enjoy fresh made tortillas and fresh ingredients put together with perfection. Tons of great sauces and choices so you'll be able to find something that you like. Plan on about ten bucks per person, and half that for kids meals. Also plan on leaving full with a
WOW! I'm not gonna lie, I only came because of a BOGO coupon they gave out when opening. I didn't expect too much, but we loved it! Extremely friendly staff, large portions, clean restaurant, and great food! Both times I've been have been great.
Solid place to come eat. It is nearly always busy with friendly efficient staff. Love the selection of bottled hot sauce too.
Good food great service ok prices.
Food is good but staff could be a little more friendly.
Awesome Food, A True American classic!
Good deal for Taco Tursday
I love the sweet pork here, I always get it in the salad and its delicious!
My first time in Cafe Rio in Utah was an experience. People has always been tellig me to eat there. And it was definitely an experience, both the times I went there. This Cafe Rio however is not like that. Service is... okay. Food portions needs to be better. And overall how service is just... needs a revamp. Food is still good, but, definitely not like other Cafe Rio's. It was disappointing.
This use to be a great place to eat for fresh food, but lately the service and food quality have gone down hill. On several occasions they have been out of several key ingredients all at the same time, all before 7 PM. If you order to go about half the time the order is either missing items or is just wrong. The food prep is just sloppy and thrown together. Sadly Cafe Rio is not what it use to be, they really need to focus on quality control.
Best food ever. 5out of 5
Cafe Rio is trash. I don't write bad reviews normally. This my first I can remember. Wish I could give it 0 stars. Place is disgustingly dirty. Not a clean table inside or outside. Out of steak and out of queso as usual. Don't see to care to be prepared. Whether it's nachos or burritos.. The don't care to drain any juice from the scoops of beans or meat before they dump it on. Making a pile of wet soggy garbage before you can Even sit down to eat. Maybe 10 or 12 people here at 7:45. Only reason I ever come is my wife likes the place. Frankly I don't know how they are still open.
Great place to take the family. I got the pork salad and it was really good. I love how they ask for your input in what you want in the salad as they make it right in front of you. The kids loved there cheese quesadilla’s.
Pay attention to the daily specials, love the smothered burrito
They raised their price on steak, put it in tiny letters under an astric *, and told me to give them like $13. I believe the markup is $2.50, and the steak tacos no longer available for the Taco Tuesday discount. I will never go again, just on principle.
The cleanest Cafe Rio Store , and employees happy to serve. The corporate should take this store as a example and keep the west cost special In Utah stores like this one. I traveled cost to cost and eat in many cafe rios I can find. Watch out corporate
Great food, very quick service, but I usually take-out, somewhat noisy and chaotic. Best horchata in town.
The mint limeade was refreshing.
Ordered online they put the wrong sauce on top. Next time went in asked for the hottest sauce they put medium. Asked for the sauce I asked for and they just put it on top of the medium sauce and called it good.
Love there food
Went for my Birthday yummy
I love Cafe Rio but today I'll give it only 4 stars because we waited over 45 minutes in line, which would normally have taken 10 minutes or so. Turns out they were preparing a bunch of on line or called in orders in between the guests in line which was annoying. I guess it pays to call ahead. Still, the food was worth the wait.
Great food!
Being a chef all my adult life, my food usually has a twist. At Cafe Rio, the employees granted me everything I asked. Therefore, the food fit my palate exquisitely. Didn't hear one unsatisfied remark. Using the present day happy scale, I would have given them six star if there was another.
Love the sweet pork!
The food here for some reason is so much better than the one in Pocatello.
To many people just throwing food together, quaility has gone done down hill in less than a year. Not as good as it once was.
Fun place to eat with friends. Was gluten free friendly
The food was great and there was a family friendly atmosphere.
Extremely dirty! The fur growing out of the ice maker was not good. Wouldn't eat there again.
Food is tasty and reasonably priced, but is messy. An okay place a quick meal but nothing special.
The queso is so thick and full of flour that it is more likes cheese gravy. The portions are large but the food is somewhat bland.
Slow service, but staff cheerful. No clean tables to sit at and drink/condiment area messy and sticky.
High prices but best $12.00+ taco salad around. Food is wonderful.
Try the pork barbacoa. It's definitely worth it. The steak is tasty, too. The burritos dine enchilada style are excellent. The salads are also amazing with their house dressings. (I think they have two). The cilantro lime is delicious and has a tiny bite to it. We like to put Bee sting sauce on our Cafe Rio food, but the last time we went, they didn't have the habanero, they had some sweet kind instead.
One of our favorite places to eat in missoula! Always fast, always clean, always get our order right. We wait for the deals they have through their mobile App, you can get a lot of free meals!
Beautiful food and I will be going back and I will get pictures next time.
Cafe Rio Is a great place for family . I enjoyed the food . Prices are nice.
As always amazing tex-mex
There is no changing table in the bathroom. I had to change my son on the bathroom floor which was dirty and disgusting. The food was good, but this oversight is really irritating.
Always busy around dinner time - a great sign! The only place where the salad is the most filling item on the menu. Also, don't feel like a lot of people know about their dessert. Best trés leches I've ever had, period! #texmex
For the price you’re paying, I wish I didn’t have to rearrange my taco after I’ve got it. My wife and I have been coming here for three years and it has been the same thing every time. They try to be fast which sacrifices quality. Not great compared to other Cafe Rios.
Good food. Like their daily specials.
Great food and service
Best Mexican around - Sweet Pork Barbacoa was absolutely fantastic
Great fresh food, even catered to my keto way of eating. Quick service and really great and friendly staff.
The food is delicious and you get a good quantity for the price. The atmosphere is nice and modern which makes it great for college students. Try the mint lemonade, it is pretty good. This place is usually packed with people at night ; however, come in the morning and you won't have a problem at all. My service was great and they were nice to all of my questions.
Good option for fast Mexican. Can't beat Taco Tuesday. Order online, it's easy as can be!
Lousy service and lousy food. I feel like the only reason they stay in business is because they offer student discounts.
Good coustomers service and great food!!!
This place is always great for food. And it's usually the same no matter where you are. The only problem with this location thus time was that it was super dirty. Their trash needed to be emptied and the pile sitting on top was gross.
Food was great as usual. The people were nice too.
Good food, but the place seemed a little dirty.
Absolutely delicious....you get to watch your meal beimg made, employees are curteous and upbeat! Great experience :)
I love the salad with sweet pork it's my favorite. But the nachos and tacos are also very good.
Good place. Good portions for price
Not quite sure how they got such good reviews so far. I've never waited at a cafe Rio this long, at any of the many locations I've been to. There were 8 people in front of me and it took 25 minutes to get to the register to check out. They were out of beef, steak, guacamole, and Mexican Coke. They didn't seem short-handed, but were just very lackadaisical in every thing they did, and it's no surprise they were out of so many items. They clearly need new management and/or training.
The food here is by far the best Tex-Mex Fort Collins has to offer. Margaritas are fantastic. But don't pass on a carafe of Sangria!!!
Food good sometimes depends on who is cooking last time was overly salty and had a sweet taste, overly priced and staff mot to helpful.
A classic for a reason. Fantastic tasting. Fresh and delicious. Will go again.
SUPA GOOD!
Items that we wanted were not available . Poor managed! Place was very filthy and garbage containers full. 3 employees sitting around doing nothing. I will never go there again!
We love to get salads and burritos. Ordering online makes the in store experience super quick.
Pretty good food at ok prices
Food is fresh and outstanding!
We were pleasantly surprised by this little Mexican restaurant in a shopping center. It's not fancy, you need to order your food cafeteria style and tell them what you want in your salad or enchilada. The ingredients were all fresh. They were making their own tortillas right there. Lots of people were getting takeout. It's obviously quite popular.
Love the food! Friendly service!
It's a franchise. Different workers each time. Getting your high maintenance burrito put together. ...It seems like a bother. Great tasting food. Fun environment. The line could be cleaner. They remade it. It's Great
This Cafe Rio was the exact same product wise but service wise it was terrible. They were slower, didnt make eye contact, had no forks. And the girl with the glasses and blonde hair (dont mnow her name and didnt want to ask) was mad that I wanted a burrito and not a salad, so she got attitude with the fact i just needed them to roll it. Any Cafe Rio employee or customer knows to roll a burrito takes seconds. FOLD AND ROLL was all that was needed. She really acted like I was asking her to dump my order qnd make a new one, i just needed the thing rolled. Is that hard? Or am I being to harsh. I dont reccomend this location if you still want to enjoy Cafe Rio as a whole
Fresh and delightful; pure southwestern. Everything cooked from scratch.
A little pricey in comparison with other restaurants but delicious. Their mint limeade is where it's at! I noticed their work area was a little sloppy, and not cleaned up very frequently but the food was great.
Good and fast food ok service
Loved it very good and filling
Amazing fresh and delicious ingredients!
One of the best vegetarian/vegan burritos in town.
Typical Cafe Rio. The workers appeared to be more concerned with their paycheck than serving customers. No complaint, just not friendly.
Cute atmosphere and friendly staff
Great customer service and clean restaurant. 10/10 love Café Rio!
While I enjoy the food, their queso is frequently made wrong and we've had line cooks and managers ignore us in line and even walk away from us. Try "Is there anything else I can do for you?"
LOVE the chips and salsa. Tacos are great.
They were slow, and not enough meat. I ordered hea burrito with rice and beans and the rice was so hard. If I could give a -3 rating I would. The tables and floors were nasty, trash and food on floor and tables. Not to mention one of the workers was scratching her buttocks with plastic gloves on and then made a customer's tortilla, and I found a bug inside my drink cup. I will never eat there again. I think the health inspector should do a surprise visit.
Tortillas made fresh, flavors are just right, not so hot you can't taste the food.
It's super popular! The food is well worth the wait in line. Make sure you have time to spare when you go. Has cafeteria style seating, which can make it difficult to find a spot to eat.
Amazing all around!! Great military incentive, Mondays 50% off all other days 10%.
Great place for good mexican food
The staff was friendly and the food was good, highly recommend
Bland, flavorless, and overpriced. The taco salad bowl was soft!
I love this place. Even when something isn't perfect, I still keep coming back. I tend to get the sweet pork salad. And they have the sweet rice milk with cinnamon drink I like.
The food is good, but the staff needs better training. I watched the woman who prepared my food put her gloved hand on the hair of another worker (she grabbed the woman’s hair bun and hairnet), and then pick up the scraper to clean off one of the grills, and THEN make two customers’ food, all without changing her gloves. She handled lettuce, cheese, etc. with the grill-cleaning, hair-grabbing gloves.
I always love cafe Rio. I've eaten at Cafe Rios all over Utah for about 15 years and have never been unsatisfied with the food. The restaurants are usually pretty packed especially around the normal meal times however, the line usually moves pretty quick. It is usually pretty loud inside and the seating is very open, so it's kind of hard for intimate conversations. Other then that very good food, friendly staff, clean restaurant, and casual.
Excellent food and friendly staff. Easy to find.
Always good. This location usually does a great job of getting me through in under 10 mins.
The food is pretty good, but when getting the special the price doesn't match the amount of food you get. For $12 the fajitas came with less food than the $6 burritos. They were good, but pricy.
I typically get the sweet pork salad at cafe rio, and usually love it! Today I was less than thrilled. The tortilla is my favorite part, and it was crusty and tasted like it had been sitting out for 5 days. Not a location I want to go to again.
Today at 1:45 when I went to Cafe Rio I witnessed an employee that was taking customers food orders. The customer apparently ordered nachos because all the sudden the employee takes a tin foil plate and yells "Nachos NACHOS!" Then she throws the plate as if it's a Frisbee through the food area. The plate then hits one of the other employees on his head and then the plate lands on top of all the food that will soon be consumed by one of the 12 people in line ahead of me. I totally love the fact that the employees are having fun while they're working but I know I wasn't the only person in line that was disgusted. The dude whose head the plate touched before it landed had a dirty hat with greasy hair and he didn't look like the cleanest guy. I remember thinking that the girl must have learned not to do that anymore but I witnessed her do it again when another customer ordered nachos. The food is good but as a vegetarian it annoys me that a salad with no meat costs the exact same as a salad with meat. I waited in line for 25 minutes (while the employees played Frisbee). They no longer honor their punch cards.
Great food, decent service and their mint lemonade is da bomb!
It's not as good as others but still good
Good food decent prices
Always a good place to eat. The customer service is great and so is the food. I prefer cafe Rio over a lot of the Mexican restaurants nearby like chipotle and qdob.
Very tasty and fast but does not seem like fast food.
Pretty okay food.
Incredible food at a great price!!! Wish we had one in our area. Quick service but our "preparer" was a bit loud and obnoxious. Still didn't take away from the 5 stars. It's that good!!!
Always high quality food! Often a long line, but that’s just a sign of its popularity.
We stood in a line that barely seemed to be moving really wasn't a problem but then one of my friends asked want to go to Star of India? That's all it took!
Wasn't too impressed. I had the tacos, one shredded chicken and one shredded beef which was The food wasn't hot, more like room temp. The rice was okay, some of it was crunchy, kinda like it wasn't cooked all the way.
Omg there food iz bomb
Sometimes there is a line, but it's because you get BULK and QUALITY for $10!!! smothered burritos, enchiladas, tostadas, and excellent taco salads are all for sale here, and all of the ingredients, sausage, and drinks are made from scratch in house. I actually worked at this place as a runner when it first opened, and the establishment is actually owned by a Mormon group from Utah, nevertheless the food is excellent for $10 and you can get it to go perfect for a spy on the run. Try the horchata!
Food is great, but the staff seem stoned or asleep. There was a really dusty over head above where some food was being prepared and someone went out of their way to write in the dust "clean this, it looks horrible!" guess they thought it was easier to write that than clean it? 3 stars only because the food is good.
I have been here a handful of times and have never been let down. The food is always fresh and delicious. They have a large variety of hot sauces available which is important for me. The dining area is always clean. The staff are almost always friendly and accommodating. One of my favorite things there is the ice cold Horchata!!!
Best customer service from a Cafe Rio ever. (From utah with them all over!) Best customer service in WY that I have experienced in a long time. The adorable friendly lady working today with braces, you get 5 stars just for you! You were so friendly, happy, your lime toss was legit, and you made the visit enjoyable after traveling for 3 hours with kids, We all enjoyed a nice break with great food! Thank you!
Came in here for the first time today with my brother. They have a pretty good rewards program that gives you $5 off just for downloading their app. The young man behind the counter was very personable and willing to help me figure out everything they offer. He let us sample the different types of meat they offered and broke down how each item with such detail. He stopped just short of giving me the exact recipe. They make a mint limeade in house that I wasnt very sure of at first glance. Once I got my cup and had a chance to sample the limeade, I was pleasantly surprised at how good and refreshing it was. They hand squeeze the limes and chop the mint for each batch. The young man behind the counter took credit for making it in such a way that the mint does not over power the rest of the flavor in the drink. The barbacoa has a sweet and smokey flavor. The shredded beef is also pretty great. Actually, all the meets I tried were so good that I could not choose what option I wanted. I decided to go with the enchilada meal but added extra enchiladas to make sure I got one of each meat. I was super pleased with my decision and the meal was great. With all the extras and the $5 off for downloading the app it was still pretty affordable as well. Next time I'm in winter park, I wont hesitate to stop in for lunch or dinner.
Tacos are good, their salsas are not spicy but they have all kinds of hot sauces at the drink bar. And their mint limeade is delicious!!
My favorite place to eat. Period.
I had a steak salad and it was delicious. I especially like the tomatillo ranch..
Pretty good. I’ve tried most things on the menu and overall they are pretty good. The daily special is the best deal... also when they do triple points. We usually go later in the day around 9 and at that point the staff seems kinda done and are rude, also it seems like whenever we order online and pickup something gets missed up.
Great place for family over lunch. Kids eat free and the pork salad is incredible! So much delicious food!
I live right down the street from Cafe Rio so I frequent it often. The food is always fresh and delicious and the staff is always friendly and fast. There west side parking lot is really bad with pot holes is my only complaint.
Yummy, cheap and friendly go-to for Tex-Mex fix. Healthy..not so much.
Their chicken tortilla soup is the best. Yum
Great portions and a fair value
The staff did not seem to know what they were doing in preparing our orders. They were out of all deserts at 5:30 on saturday and had no plans to do anything about it. They obviously had not been completely trained and there was no concerned management on staff.
Some of the best food I've had and the stuff is so friendly
When I walk into a restaurant at 7:50 and the restaurant doesn't close until 9:00 I expect them to have food available. First, I ordered a tostada with steak. "Sorry, we're out of steak" Okay, I'll take the grilled chicken. "Sorry, we're out of grilled chicken too". Okay, cancel my order then! First and last time I will go to that place!
I drive over an hour and a half to come to this Cafe Rio, I’ve been so impressed with the kindness of the staff and the food is of course delicious. Today, I literally drove the hour and a half, just for Cafe Rio, the person helping me went above and beyond to make sure my experience exceeded my expectations and even offered a drink for the road.
Can't go wrong here
I found a spider in my drink. I believe it came from the Ice Maker because it was stuck on the ice. I told one of the staff members, and they said they'd let the manager come talk with me. I waited for about 20 minutes and the manager never showed up. This is disgusting and I ended up losing my appetite. It is very traumatizing finding a spider in your food/drink!!
Taco tuesday is awesome. Food really good
Love coming in and being treated like I am #1! Love these guys!
Cheap food. The place is an absolutely show on Tuesdays. Honestly if it wasn't so cheap, I'd probably never go.
Love love love them! They're like Chipotle's older more experienced brother; they have a lot more options. Their food is always fresh and the people are really nice. Their salad dressing is to die for and their drinks especially their limeade is sooooo good. The prices are honestly more than their competitors but it's worth because you get so much more.
I got a single taco and all but one salsa was too spicy. Busy but worth it. If I didn't go there, I wouldn't have had an idea for cherry sprite when my mom and dad came.
This place is awesome- really good food and great customer service all of the time.
Ok
Best place ever, beats chipotle
My husband and I go as frequent as we can. The food is always amazing and the staff are friendly. There is often a long line so I suggest calling by ahead if you are in a hurry.
Best place to get me some chicken tacos!!
I eat there every week. Good basic tacos.
Food was great service was great as well !!!!
Call in orders and app order are not being made until you arrive, 10 mins after the appointment made still wasn’t made until I came in. 4th time in a row the exact ting happened, why have an app and call in orders if you’re not going to make them? I could have waited in line and made it quicker than have the order made 30 mins prior and wait an additional 15 minutes all while listening to employees complain about how slow it was.
There sweet pork is to die for
The lines always seem to be absurdly long and the food is just okay. I prefer Costa Vida. The only reason I'd go here is for the student deal!
Love the pork, sweet and savory for sure. Mix it with the green sauce and it's a perfect pair. Even love the fact you can see everything bring made.
Food is so fresh
They need one in Nampa/Caldwell! Changed my rating to 1. Ran out of fire grilled steak and chicken again! They say it's because they don't want to waste it so if they are closing in an hour they won't make more. I will wait for them to make more! My experience that changed this to a 1 is they didn't have the fire grilled meats and I finally said ok to the shredded chicken even though I was really annoyed by that point. The manager chose to add more meat rather than refund and didn't give me the choice (didn't ask). I am not a fan of the shredded meats, so why would I want more?? I could feed my family of 6 with all the meat on my salad. Gross :( Really frustrating!
Visited off the recommendation of a friend while passing through this town. The food was alright, though the veggie burrito only contained beans and rice in it, and the rest on the side- a bit disappointing in my mind. Queso was good, but I've had better, and we were surprised that shredded cheese cost extra on the burrito. The value didn't seem there. There was a good selection of tasty, fresh drinks but they were out of regular tea at the time. Service was fast and friendly, and everything seemed clean enough. Also worth noting was that the place was freezing. Might return if in the area, because there's such limited selection in this part of the state.
Good stuff
I have liked Cafe Rio everywhere I have had it and this one is no different. My wife and I usually split the pork barbacoa burrito (enchilada style of course!) and you can get a free kids quesadilla for the little ones. Not sure what the age limit is for this, but it's a nice perk.
Great food, clean place.
Best food ever!!
Quick service many choices easy access from free way. Clean place;
I go here every Tuesday it is so good
First was the gal at the register, she did everything to get me the absolute best deal. Food exceeds expectations. All staff worked on all cylinders. I could see how almost every part being made. Back to the register, very friendly. She focused on me as a customer. Then for back to her coworkers question. Very impressed.
I don't know how I've overlooked this restaurant before, but I'll definitely be back again. The employees were polite and accommodating, even allowing me to order off the kids menu for a smaller portion. The food is your average tex-mex with slightly more authentic flavors. Where Cafe Rio really sets themselves apart from the competition is their atmosphere and cleanliness.
Good portion at a decent price. Sweet pork was great, but the "hot" sauce want even spicy, to my taste. Guess I'll try the ha be habanero next time.
Eh not a big fan, its pretty much a chipotle imo but if you like that then its good
Love their food!! :)
Good food
Clean establishment. Fast and courteous. Had the steak burrito which was very tender meat and well flavored. Thx!
Great food huge portions
I've only been to cafe rio twice & I was beyond impressed last night when we went there for dinner. I wanted a sweet pork burrito but the pork would take 5 minutes to finish, that's fine, I'm patient. I did not expect someone to take down my order & bring it out as soon as it finished! They staff was nice, friendly & happy to help out. I appreciated them going out of their way for me! New cafe rio fan right here!
The food was okay, but it was cold. Service could be improved.
Good fast food that doesn't taste like feast food. My kids like to go because of the bright colors and they can watch their food being made in front of their faces. The green tomatillo ranch is by far my favorite, I can drizzle that over everything. Daily specials with shrimp on Saturdays.
Food was really good, however the girl behind the counter making the food has a really bad attitude. Asked for everything but no chips and she proceeded to grab the chips and put it on there while talking to another co worker and me saying 3 times no chips but it happens when she finally realized I said no chips she proceeded to say “oh my gosh really” and yes oh my gosh really is right simple instructions aren’t hard to follow and the bad attitude isn’t necessary either.
Dont like this place
Don't use Cafe Rio catering! I ordered it for a wedding rehearsal dinner. I ordered two gluten free meals, which they forgot about., which took an extra 30 minutes. My daughter picked up the food from the Lehi location and when she arrived 30 minutes late with the food we unpacked and there was only enough pork for 2 people !! We were at a park and Cafe Rio also didn't give us serving utensils for the food so we had to use small forks. I called the catering office and after 10 minutes the lady informed me that we'd have to drive back the 20 minutes away to pick up the missing meat ourselves in the meantime the food got cold My son and daughter got to Cafe Rio and were told they hadn't been called by the catering office and didn't have any pork to give them. The two wedding families finally decided to eat without my son and daughter who were waiting at Cafe Rio. By the time they returned with the missing pork the entire dinner was over, since it was now an hour and a half after the dinner was supposed to begin. Thanks for nothing Cafe Rio. One of the worst parts is that I was not even offered a discount for Cafe Rio ruining the rehearsal dinner. Disgusting.
I enjoy Cafe Rio, but I'm not a fan of their sweet pork. Everything else here is pretty tasty, and the service is about average. I was disappointed when I came here and ordered the habanero hatch chili pork and it turned out to be more sugary than spicy. From now on I stick to the steak or picadillo. If I were to rank similar restaurants in the area it would go Chipotle, Q'doba, Costa Vida, then Cafe Rio.
I like the food here. There efficiency is great as well. Been here during many lunches where the wait was shorter than expected.
The food is great but 2 out of every 3 times they don't have my order ready after ordering mobile even when I wait more than the time asked for for it to be ready. Basically loses the purpose of mobile ordering.
Place was a mess. Food everywhere, mixed in with ingredients and on floor. Cooking utensils on the ground kicked under grill. Empty containers laying on counter. Service and price doesn't reflect what you get. Definitely not eating there again, it's a germ factory waiting to happen. Hope I don't get sick!
The food is amazing and the Costumer service is outstanding
The taco salads are amazing!! And burritos!! Mmmmm
Their sweet pork with sweet medium green sauce is to DIE FOR! Also love the selection of drinks. The mint limeade is my fave
Always fast, always delicious.
I love Cafe Rio, it may as well be my spirit animal.
I enjoy their food.
Such good food and reasonable prices. Get the app because they have pretty good rewards. Just turn off of notifications because they are annoying.
I mean really, could you rate a Cafe Rio any lower than 5 stars? Tomatillo ranch and barbacoa EVERY time. You can also get free quesadillas, just ask for the nino quesadilla
Too pricey! $28 plus dollars for 2 burritos and 2 drinks. Not enough food for leftovers? The taste wasn't anything to sing about.
Good food
They've got good enchiladas
The best Cafe Rio location I have been to. The food always looks and tastes fresh. All the employees are friendly and efficient. There are times that is really insane because of all the college kids, so you will want to go during off times to eat.
LOVE this place!!! One hundred times better than there competition!! You really need to try it if you haven't!
Love the food there
Fast food choice for the family. Not always the cleanest seating. As usual for a restaurant like this!
Nice service and the food always tastes great!
We drive past 2 other Cafe Rios to go to the one at traverse mountain the cleanliness and quality/taste of the food is well worth the extra drive time. Employees do a great job at this location!!
Good food, good prices for students (student tacos)
Super busy and rude staff. Great food though!
My wife loves Café Rio and I love to see my wife happy. Do the math.
Good food and good service
Great smothered burritos.
Always a yummy spot! We drive out of our way to hit up cafe rio. Yum!!!
Great food and great service. Was in and out. Place was clean and neat.
It wasnt even busy when I went in to eat. The guy put all the liquid from the beans on the burrito and barely any beans. Had attitude the whole time. My burrito is like soup. He forgot to put my sauce on the side in my bag Togo and here I am eating not quite what I asked for. There are so many restaurants and this one has terrible customer service and lazy employees. How hard is the job, go somewhere else if you cant do the job right
I was recomended the nachos and when I came the nachos looked and tasted like chips with beans. They were lacking what true nachos are. If it was the movie Nacho Libre I'd say "get that corn out of my face".
Awesome joint! Home made tortillas and excellent drink bar with horchatta!
Worst customer service at any location and quality control is seriously lacking restaurant as a whole is filthy and not busy enough to justify the short comings...I will never stop here again management should consider retraining staff and maybe hire employees who can smile and be polite to those keeping them in a job
Really good spot for a quick bit with friends or hust to hangout
Meh. Confusing to order. I think the food tastes pre-made (it's not but it tastes like it) the lime cilantro rice YUMMY!! The food is definitely fast food. The tortillas are made in front of you but they have no taste, in my opinion of course. The food is ok for a quick bite
Love this place! It has wonderful flavors unlike some other "Mexican" places in town. I've never had a bad meal at a Cafe Rio and I know that whatever location I go to, I know I get consistent meals!
Food is great! Little spendy but good!
Food is great, partially made in front of you. Great customer service.
Clean, reasonably quick. The food is good, benign Mexican. Out of the drinks too often.
It is good if you are looking for something new to try
Who doesn't know about Cafe Rio? If you do you understand that their are better locations than others. This is one of their best locations.
Update-still hate this location. Came 2 months ago and got eye rolls about my order because my son has an allergy. All I asked was for no cheese. Then today, the same girl with an attitude last time skimped on my salad. All of the workers here look miserable. I would like take a pic to show their awful faces. COME ON! HIRE DECENT PEOPLE. Will not return when Costa Vida has better service.
Delicious food, Awesome Portions and wonderful staff. This is a great location!
Way over priced for the meal you get. I paid $12.25 per burrito.. and this this burrito is about the size of a taco bell super taco. $25.00 for two tiny burritos. Complete waste of money. Considering you have to eat their burritos with a fork.. it's so sloppy wrapped, you cant even pick it up. If you want an actual meal.. I suggest someplace else.
So depressing to see what most all Cafe Rio’s have become. Costa Vida is 10x times better for the same price. Hair in my food after waiting extra 30 minutes for a phone order. Worst customer service pumping out walk-in orders as we sit and wait. Always out of normal menu items and severely understaffed.
Love their weekly specials. I live for Taco Tuesday. $2 tacos! And way better than Taco Bell quality.
Great food and friendly service. Get the app and order ahead of time if you're in a hurry. The line has a tendency to stack up quick.
Even though its a chain this one always seems to taste better and seems cleaner than the other locatons
First time but good food
Good food homemade
Some of the best service I have ever had at a quick service establishment. All the staff were so kind!
Good place.. to eat Mexican food.
Great food nice people.
Exactly what you expect from a cafeteria style "Mexican". You pay a little too much for a decent quality, fairly bland food. I'll unfortunately come back the next time I meet someone for lunch and I can't talk them into some quality food.
Freshly made tortillas! My new favorite place for fast Mexican
Got several dinners for take out since we were feeding a lot of family helping move some of our kids. Even with a lot of people in line, the ordering went smoothly and the food was great! Everyone was SO happy to see me pull up with Cafe Rio! Thanks for running an efficient establishment that provides great food!!
The catering services are poor. We have ordered catering from this location multiple times and every time there is an issue. They are already 30 minutes late to deliver today and counting. This is never good when you have an office full of people who have been in meetings all morning and are expecting lunch. I would not recommend ordering catering from this location.
Staple for somewhat Americanized Mexican cuisine. Decent food, but portions are rather large and the cost can get a bit high. Excellent tortillas. Their queso is so sweet it tastes like candy syrup, so unless you like sugary queso, skip it - but don't skip the tres leches!
Food was decent but it was crowded, no one was working the dining area so had to clean tables yourself after the last guest, counter help were obviously feeling the busyness. Waited in a long line for my free tres leches cake only to find out I hadn't needed to (and wasn't told that even though I had just asked the cashier a question) and then the dessert wasn't really worth the wait.
The rating is only for their homemade flour tortillas....so damn good!!
The food at Cafe Rio is amazing! Unfortunately the service at this Cafe Rio is so slow. As a Utah native I have been to many Cafe Rio chains including the original in St. George, Utah. The Missoula employees would be shocked at how fast and efficient the other locations are. Lucky for them the food is so good I am willing to wait.
Awesome food. Love it.
I visited Cafe Rio with my daughter on 3/7/2019. The man who took our order and prepared our food was extremely rude. When he took my order, I told him that I wanted the meal with one taco, beans and rice. He asked me what kind of taco I wanted and I looked at him a little confused, not understanding right away that he was asking me if I wanted chicken or beef in my taco. I said "what?". Apparently, I must have triggered him in some way, because his whole countenance changed and he suddenly started being very rude to me and deliberately mispreparing my food. He threw the lettuce and pico into the container in a way that it was not even inside my taco but slopped onto the outside the taco between the tortilla and the foil. I could not believe what I was seeing. I called him out on it, but he just ignored me. I had to ask somebody else to prepare me a new dish!
Great taco Tuesday deal. Had the chicken and it was most and tasty. $2.00 tacos are on spot. Add the beans, ride and drink and you have a meal that great.
Food and service is always wonderful, even though I went mid lunch rush they were excellent with timing, availability and freshness of the food.
My whole family the food here, and I was here with my daughters, brother, and grandchildren. We enjoyed the fantastic food as always, the amazing service and had a great day!
Great food, fast service, cute dining area - and the guacamole is pretty good! Taco Tuesday prices can't be beat!
I'm accustomed to getting charged extra for guac thanks to Chipotle, but getting charged $2.50 for just fajita veggies is definitely not something I'm used to. They were also trying to charge me extra for their corn salsa. How about just an extra scoop of rice or beans? You guessed it - they charge ya. Delicious pork though. Two stars
Ordered steak burrito and chicken tostada and both were great. Ordering online works well, but it's hard to make substitutions (i.e. sub guacamole for sour cream and beans)
This place is SO good. I usually get the burrito with the sweet pork. Make sure to get it enchilada style. The salads have a homemade cilantro ranch dressing that is so good.
They make their tortillas in fresh, in front of you and their pork is absolutely amazing! I also absolutely love their house salad dressing. I always get there pork salad, which I have never had a bad experience with. My husband really likes their chicken quesadillas and I've heard their wet burritos are also amazing. This place is definitely one of my favorites. They also have an app that you can put on your phone to accumulate points based off of your receipts, which you can scan. These points can be used towards a free meal, which is a bonus!
Fast, quality food. Been here a dozen times and there are always consistantly with their quality of food.
This place is sort of the Great Value version of Chipotle. The tortillas, and the burritos in general, taste odd. The meat kind of tastes cheap. For the price, it's not really worth it. I'd rather get a cheap Mexican meal from Taco Bell or Roberto's than a sub-par and expensive meal from here. Also, the workers threw food at each other behind the counter, and it was very unprofessional. I've worked as a supervisor in a similar work environment, and let me tell you, their behavior would have resulted in a possible write-up. While they were nice, they were too colloquial in how they acted around customers. Would not recommend, and I'm not sure if I'd go back.
This place has some of the best and affordable burritos that I have had. You can use their rewards app to obtain discounts as well. Service is pretty fast during peak hours. They do have some unique drink options. This is much better food than other fast food Mexican places.
Gave this place a second chance after a few years and went in for their tasty tuesdays since it looked like a good deal. They don’t mention anywhere that certain meats are more which I would be fine with if I got more then 5 pieces of steak in my burrito. The guy at the register grilled me about everything that was in there and on it and made it seem like having the sauce on top was extra which I wasn’t give a choice if I wanted it on top or not. Assumed it was like cafe Mexicali where that is the norm. Ended up walking out with a $8 burrito when their specials said burritos were $5.50 that day. Nothing special or extra aside from the pitiful amount of steak in it. Burrito was half the size of Cafe Mexicali and tasted as bad as it looked. Lesson learned about giving places a second chance! Save yourself the terrible experience and go to Cafe Mexicali
Good food, good service.
Excellent food. Sweet pork and triple leche cake. Yummy!
Cafe Rio is great. This Cafe rio is not as great as others. I regularly go through the pickup line and often they have no one working there. So, if there's a line in the pickup you often end up waiting even longer than the regular line. Food quality seems to not be quite as good as the American Fork location either. Specifically, their salad shells tend to be undercooked.
Always consistent...can be a line and busy sometimes...
This is a Chipotle like place, but I like it a lot better. I can eat pretty much any of the food and feel great afterwards. This is not so for a lot of "other" Mexican food places. They have some amazing drinks also. Very authentic and very different than anything I'm used to here in the states. They also have a bunch of specials that are really good deals. Try one of them and you'll get something different than you're used to. I have been doing that every time I visit, and I like everything I've gotten so far.
Way over priced compared to their competitors. Pricing does not include normal additional items or choice of meat. They even charge extra for sour cream. Seriously who does that.... Flies were flying around during my visit.
The slowest service in the world, never have enough people working there.
Great food! Fun atmosphere, and free cheese quesadillas for the kids - can't beat that! We eat here commonly. On one visit it was slow, and the manager was out cleaning tables. He came over and chatted with us for a short time to make sure everything was top notch. He came back and gave my young kids a free cheesecake dessert, just to be gracious. Awesome!
Twice a week dinner, good eating.
So much better than Qdoba
Good was great. But messy. Poorly put together and sloppily packaged. It leaked and fell apart with every bite. Over charged for a tiny bit of sour cream. And paid 35 dollars for three lunches. 2 quesadillas and a salad. No drinks.
Love it when they give me a lot of meat! That's why I go back.
Great place the food is delicious!
Love the food, order a steak burrito!
Delicious tacos!
Eat there everytime we go to Great Falls. The food is great and plenty of it. We never go away disappointed or hungry
Great fresh food and service, specially "Taco Tuesday"
Awesome food. Big tacos. Definitely have to go on Tuesday for $2 tacos!!
Just your typical place to get tacos, burritos, etc. They have a mint limeade as well as horchata if you prefer specialty drinks (both of which were pretty good). They have a rewards app where if you spend $100 you get $10 in rewards. There is a large selection of hot sauce. Their food is average, their rice isn't that great. The line was extremely long but moved at a steady pace. There was limited seating where people shared large booth like seats on one side and chairs on the opposite side. It's super intrusive, especially if you're sitting next to a bunch of children who cannot sit still. The tables weren't very clean and I only saw one worker who was cleaning. The bathrooms were fairly clean. The staff was pretty friendly. It was very similar to a chipotle but with a few more selections. Still a pretty limited selection. Items were moderately priced. I probably wouldn't go there again, at least not when it was busy. There was one handicapped parking spot and zero special handicapped seating, which is pretty important for me. Also I'm not positive a wheelchair would fit through the line area and that is set up with railings that can not be moved. It was overall an understated experience.
Line needs to move faster. This is supposed to be fast-casual. Not just casual. Food is great, service needs to be faster. Let's get a manager training cashiers
My favorite is the pork. Everything fresh and delicious.
The food here is great and deserves a 5 star rating but the service is SOOOOOOO slow! This Cafe Rio is by far the slowest Cafe Rio I have ever been to. The staff from the Idaho falls location should come up and train the staff here. Even if you order online it still takes fiveever!
Delicious! (As always)
Nice sized eating area. The service was great and the people friendly.
Service was great. Dining room was clean and seating area was great. Price was reasonable. Staff was very friendly
Great food, fast service, even with long lines!
Go here like 2 times a week...it's lit
Always fresh and yummy. Black beans are the healthiest and theirs are the tastiest. Always check their daily special. Their Tostada is a favorite way to get your beans and greens in one meal. If you love fresh tortillas you might order a side to them to satisfy your taste buds. Enjoy
Your employees are sloth slooooooooow. The restaurant is always dirty and the food is usually dry. Beyond annoying.
Quality food, good staff, especially the manager
Great food! Exceptions service.
First time dining. Loved the sweet pork enchiladas.
Affordable Fresh Mexican fast food. Try one of the daily specials.
Food is great, service is rather slow, space layout is terrible, portions have been getting smaller and smaller every time since its opening. Second guessing about coming here lately.
The food was great. My issue is the enchiladas and a drink cost me over 12 dollars. I have a hard time paying that much for a counter service meal. Probably will never go again based only on price.
Tasty food with incredible customer service! This is definitely not your average Mexican restaurant. Everything is fresh and prepared upon ordering and there is not one microwave oven in the entire place! I truly will be a return customer!
Ordered online for pickup around 1 at 10 am. Got there around 10 minutes early. Place was packed. Finally got my lunch 20 minutes late. My burrito was cold and not what I expected. For how much I paid, it felt like a waste
Great food. The staff could use a bit more customer service training, but overall good place.
Have eaten here several times. Always good and fast. Love the chicken enchiladas.
Great place!
This is good place for lunch. I probably wouldn't have dinner here.
I love the food here, and the employees are always very friendly. The restaurant is always clean and the service is speedy.
Always friendly and fun staff
Delicious food, great deals daily
I always get the pork salad on wheat with shredded lettuce. This place never disappoints and I've always had fast friendly service here. I like the remodel, it's definitely one of the bigger locations.
I hate this place the food is slimmy n nasty.
Sweet pork and cheese quesadilla. Mmm!
Sweet pork carnitas! Free quesadilla for kids under 6.
I went on the day of their grand opening and they were nothing but sweet and efficient. My food tasted amazing and while it was so busy they still got everything done in a timely manner while not making it seem like I was being pushed out the door. I really loved it and will definitely go back!
Love the food and atmosphere, disliked the line
The location of the drinking fountain is terrible. Other than it was what you would expect.
Best Chinese restaraunt I ever went to
It was packed but they were fast. Nice staff.
Great fast mexican food. Like qdoba with fresh made tortillas.
I went here because I love Cafe Rio. I found that this restaurant wasn't quite as good as Cafe Rio in Utah, but still satisfied the craving.
Nice place to visit on Mondays since Military gets 50% off. I really love their chants when you ask for extra meat, a soup, etc. its really cute and outs a smile on my face.
I love this place! This is what Chipotle's wishs it was! Everything is so fresh and sooo good!!
Great burritos! They don't skimp on the insides and toppings. They are generous with their pork and help keep the line moving in a friendly manner.
Great food and service!
Yummy. Hot and fresh. Generous portions. Friendly staff. Will definitely be back
It's a little pricey for what they offer. Overall good. We only went because we had a coupon for buy one get one free. Won't be returning with the prices they have. Want a 2 ounce scoop of guacamole? Prepare to pay $1.99. On top of the burrito that is advertised as a little over $8, but if you want a meat, it's another $2.00 tacked on.
The food was good, typical for a Cafe Rio. The horchata was much sweeter than I have experienced at other locations, that was not altogether bad. The employees were so unwelcoming and most of them stood around talking to each other. Half of the employees were not working and the ones that were, were working on our food more slowly than a future online order that they received, whose recipients were nowhere to be found. The table that we sat at was so sticky, I'm not sure that it had ever been cleaned.
This place is amazing. Consistent with how it tastes in Utah, the food is quality and the service consistent. Like other patrons the interior is a little echo-y for my taste, but in the summer and early Fall it is amazing eating out on the porch. Their tortillas alone are a reason to go. We use them when we make homemade burritos and want that extra oomph of freshness.
This is a review of a single visit. Portions were atypically small leaving us to ask and pay for extra just to get normal. Then half way through my delicious burrito a 7" wavy hair was found. Will be back. Maybe not this location
We eat at cafe quite often back home and this one was a bit different...the people were not as friendly/engaging and the work area was not up to the usual cleanliness standards. The food was still good... just the atmosphere and vibe was off.
Food here is delicious! We never had any issues with the food. Service is quick. Most employees are friendly, some have no personality. I give 4 stars only because this location has the most disgusting tables and chairs. They ALWAYS feel sticky even though they are wiped down. The Idaho Falls location has new, updated chairs and tables that can actually be cleaned well. Pocatello location needs to invest in the same dining tables and chairs
Best tortillas in town, and exceptional food otherwise. Try their house dressing on pretty much anything. It's amazing.
Great place. Pro tip: sign up for Cafe Rio rewards. They always send me $5 gift cards and students get free drinks
I love the sweet pork burrito. The salads are huge.
The best burrito!!!
Long wait to get food. Only a single cashier station for dine-in customers seemed to be the hold up. (Has two for take out) Had to wash off our own table, several empty tables, just no clean ones. Navigating to drink station can be a bit challenging if there is much of a line. Food was good, had chicken enchiladas. Fixing a few little things in the layout and processes would net five stars, food is good and people are great.
Very good food
Great margs!
Good food most of the time. The line usually moves quickly. I was there for lunch with my kids and the Hugh chairs were all very dirty which is gross. I also noticed the outdoor patio was horrendously dirty. Sucks when it's warm and you wanna eat outside. They need to put more effort into keeping their restaurant clean.
Cafe Rio always has great food and friendly people
I ate here June 6th, 2019 & was horrible experience. I got salad the tortilla wasn't warmed with melted cheese. The rice was hard & not cooked! Service was so slow with lots of staff??? Billings location is WAY better!!
Another great place to eatfresh food homemade tortillas.
Best BBQ EVER
Good food, nice new clean location. I came during the day to get lunch, it was very low key. Employees were all very nice. Food was fresh, all the tables were clean. High quality food. I ordered a steak burrito, it was a bit expensive, $13.78.... too big to eat also. I wish they would have medium sizes. Overall, good run business
Food is ok, it's fast food. Nothing fancy.
I'm in love with their homemade sauce. The food tastes great and I love the fact I can make my own mixed drink
Great food just had a long wait line for the lunch rush.
If you think a regular quesdilla with no sides or drink is worth 10 bucks then this is the place for you! For the other 99% find a different place to eat. I've never been more disappointed in a meal in my life. I'd rather gag on McDonald's.
