Service was impeccable, as was the food with one exception: the caprese salad was served with tomatoes that were not ripe. A restaurant of this quality should know to not serve an item unless they can source the best possible ingredients. I'm still giving them 5 stars because it's almost impossible to serve pasta that is hot when it reaches the table. Perfectly cooked and spiced.

This place is the biggest disappointment in the area, we went there expecting to enjoy real italian food, forget it! TASTELESS how can you make tasteless italian food?! doesnt have any sense, but in this place is real, sad. The location is good and w a couple of drinks you probably wont realized how poor the dishes are.

As an educated and experienced individual within the restaurant industry, I say the following: The environment is very pleasant and the service is very good. The waiter explained to us the house specials which all sounded amazing. Had the pasta ragu and I knew it would be a great meal from the minute I smelled it. The dish was so rich in flavor along with the fresh house made pasta that despite the fact of being full halfway through the meal I continued to eat it! My partner had the chicken marsala which was also very rich in flavor from the sauce and the mushrooms. We definently enjoyed our time here and look forward to coming back!

You feel relaxed, at home, and you eat too much of too excellent food! Try the Osso Bucco with risotto, and finish with a Tiramisu. Great place to visit with friends and have a great time! Kids get things to draw and have fun.

This place was not good. When we first walked we could have been ghosts since no one acknowledged us for 5 minutes until I asked if they were going to give us a table. First bad sign. When we got the table the table cloth was dirty and when I politely asked the manager he responded in a very harsh manner and ripped it off from the table. When the pizza came it was extremely burned and not edible. I had to return it since it was a food hazard to eat it this way. When we asked for the check they included 18% tip and I had to ask them to remove that service charge. I would not recommend this place. Not Worth It

I love this place. I have being coming here since 2010 and everyday is better. Host is the best in Sunny Island and the food can't be better. Eggplant and raviolis bolognese...the best!!!

If your Uber Eats driver do not come here I had an issue to where the customer from ubereats ordered 3 items she then called the restaurant and had them tackle on 5 different items more than I was supposed to pick up the manager was very rude to me when I explain to him that I am here to pick up three items he told me to decline my trip and told me to go home because he would not give me the food unless I take all of it which is not my problem nor my order that I had to pick up he was unwilling to decline the trip and walked away from me when I was on the phone with the ubereats representative that told me to tell him to decline it and he refused bad customer service and unacceptable

Food was wonderful. Waitstaff was great too. However the boss of the place was a bit sketchy and on our second visit clearly didn’t want us there. When we walked in the door the greeter had to check w him to see if we could eat. He told us at about 530pm on a Thursday that they’d be closing shortly because something in the kitchen had to be fixed. Lie! We ordered immediately, food came super fast - appetizer with main course. By the time we were done people were showing up for 6pm reservations. They were not closing. But he clearly didn’t want us there. So while the food and service was great, I have a problem giving a place a good review if their leader lies to my face. We didn’t walk in from the beach. We were properly dressed. So be warned - you may be turned away at the door!

Been eating at this place for over 17 years now. Still one of the best Italian places in the tri county area! Proveletta, Ceasar Salad, Stuffed Veal Chop, All the pastas, Soup, & regatta cheese cake Wow! Simply add your choice of Italian wine (amarone, chianti, etc ) and you will make a evening that you will remember forever. I have and been doing so since they use to play Eros eros Ramazzotti over the speakers their!

Nice decor and location but awfull service. Our entrees were initially brought in at the same time as the apetizers, so they were then taken away. Approximately 1 hour and multiple complaints later we reveived our entrees. Even though our entrees were then comped this was a very unpleasant experience.

The food and service were very good, but the restaurant has two big flaws which overshadow anything positive: 1) Tables way too close to one another. Waiters constantly hit my chair trying to move around tables. 2) The place is EXTREMELY LOUD. People screaming inside. You cannot have a conversation at all. For these reasons only, I give the restaurant a 2.5 star rating and will not likely return

Tourist trap for sure. I don't know what the other 5 star reviewers had, I know I didn't get any of that. Food was terrible and over priced. Crab meat ravioli has no crab meat. Calamari tasted like deep fried paper with lots of salt. Two servers were friendly, two others acted like we were wasting their time, even though they included 18 percent gratitude in our bill. One star is for their location and the other is for the two friendly waiters. And I am being generous here.

Service was excellent. Server was knowledgeable about the wine list. We had only pasta (carbonara for me and mushrooms for my wife) and both were fine to perfection. The only issue is the noise level but it was not so overwhelming to detract from the overall experience

the expansion did not harm this italian gem. they serve wine to those in the wait line making it worth getting there early for "pre dinner" drinks on the house. regular crowd from the local condos can make getting those great seats tough.

Some of the best Italian food that I've had in South Florida. I had the pasta in truffle oil followed by chocolate mousse. Malbec was also tasty.

Got pizza here after Moncheese decided they were going to close early. The pizza was excellent, and I’m positive better than Moncheese’s. Brick oven, crisped to perfection. There was a little char on the edges from the fire which added great flavor. We didn’t get any of the pastas or other entrees since we were in the mood for pizza but from what I saw they also looked great. The staff is very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Although I may not be back because we’re leaving in two days, I’ll certainly be back next time I’m in Surfside.

Medicore food, bad service and AC is killing you. Burata starter tasteless. For main ive gobe with shrimps with risotto, shrimps were perfect but only 5 of them, large portion of also, tasteless risotto. Rather disappointing.

Very nice place lots of people go there if you make a reservation they will make you anyways on a weekend but you'll be one of the first one to sit ( I guess because of the amount of people), food I would give them a 20 on a 10 rate, it was delicious and very nice service, tip is included but they make a nice job!

I don't know where the good reviews come from. Perhaps the entire staff was having a bad day when I dined at this place. Slow service, very loud place with people screaming rather than talking. Yes, tables too close to each other. Food was average, and nothing to brag about. And quite expensive, so I don't get it.

My perspective is of a tourist getting off a Disney Cruise and staying near this restaurant. It was walking distance from our hotel, we were very hungry, it was not a busy time of day, the food arrived fast & was rich but good. The service however, was provided by someone who seemed to wish we weren't there. By the time we left, We were one of only two tables in the restaurant. The other table was obviously full of people they knew. We felt as if we were intruders. Spent $88 & left wishing I'd picked another restaurant.

The interior of this restaurant is very old and very dark, it is not comfortable to sit there. When we came, we were sit at table that was extremely closed to the bar, so my husband had no space to move and all glasses from the bar just were over his head. It was very crowded and loud there. The menu was very dirty with the greasy marks. So we decided to leave this place after 10 minutes waiting for waitress. However, may be the food is good, we did not have a chance to try it.

We wanted to try it but unfortunately the host was so rude with a not so great welcome. When We arrived the host came to answer their phone, did not acknowledge us and left. He didn’t come back until we asked a waiter where he was and he went to call him. The host asked for our name, told us we should wait 25 minutes ( which is normal ) , but when we asked is he can text us , he rudely answered, “ No, we do not text anybody. We are too busy and you have to wait outside” . No PLEASE , no COURTESY, not POLITE .... we went to another restaurant around the area
