REVIEWS OF Cafe Boulud IN Florida

Only been here for dinner and the place never disappoints. When the weather is nice, can't beat being seated outside. Romantic and classy spot. You can actually talk and take your time enjoying your meal here. Food is top notch and service is what you would expect of a Boulud place.

Fernando Dean

This place clearly knows how to satisfy their customers. Regularly with a super friendly demeanor. The food is affordably priced, always tasty and neat.

doranne bakiewicz

Can only afford HH thus far but the cocktails are wonderful! And the arancini (omnipresent and poorly done at so many places) are here melt-in-your mouth little flavor clouds of delight.. these are why arancini exist!! and why DB can commodify his name!

Glenn Heino

I was not so impressed with the food here. The service and ambiance are excellent. We sat outside near the fountain. It was beautiful. My pork chop was salty and tough. My wife's lobster salad was very vinegary. For a $200+ meal, I expected better.

Claire Marlin

We had to stop for the holiday to our favorite restaurant. We were seated in the courtyard next to the fountain were we enjoyed a delicious and festive meal. The foie gras and scallop were tasty, flavorful and fresh. Good wine, company and food for a wonderful dinner. The Staff was very nice and friendly. One of the best dinners I have had . The drinks where amazing had Old Fashion. Great atmosphere. The best duck ever. Fantastic food and service. We were a group of four enjoying dinner, salmon, scallops, wine, and lovely desserts.

The Boulud Restaurant was great. We shared a Chateau Briand, which was cooked right on. The oysters, soft shell crab and escargot were excellent. The Service was fast and professional with care and detail at all levels.

Doug Anderson

Was there for breakfast a few days ago and think that it's the best place in town for a breakfast meeting. For dinner, we prefer the garden which is gorgeous but, on occasion, have dinner indoors. Last night, we were guests at a family dinner for 12 at a large round table in the garden. It was wonderful as the night was beautiful. Service was great as was dinner.

Lucrezia Di Persia

Disappointed with the overall ambiance. I remembered it differently (had not been back in 10 years) The mushroom risotto was below average...overcooked and tasteless. But service was attentive and good

Albert Ziegler

What a disappointment! We have been coming to Cafe Boulud many times. The food was excellent a couple of years ago but has become less and less enjoyable. What happened? The entree choices on the menu had nothing to do (anymore) with French food. (By the way we are from France but live in the U.S. part of the year). The french fries were dark and greasy and we felt bad for our guests who experienced Cafe Boulud for the first and probably last time. We have enjoyed many great meals at Cafe Boulud and Daniele in NY and appreciate good French cooking. We know how much Mr. Boulud cares about his restaurants but obviously there is a complete lack of supervision in the kitchen to live up to the "Boulud" standard. On a more positive note we always enjoy the outside terrace and peaceful environment. But unfortunately the food needs to improve before we become regular customers again. Nous esperons que ce message sera peut-etre lu ou transmis a M. Boulud a qui nous transmettons nos sinceres salutations.

Stan Rodgers

Best restaurant in Palm beach, in my opinion. We have been going for years for both lunch and dinner. We have also done the chefs table in the kitchen a few times off season. Outdoor dining is nice , weather dependent. Very reasonable summer specials

kenneth pollak

Nice brunch with courteous but slow service.

Cafe Boulud is a hidden gem when you go inside it is very open post modern at its best please do not be frightened by the hustle and commotion because that is what makes Cafe Boulud the excitement! Of everything going on around you plus I felt so pampered by the waitstaff I looked left there was a waiter looked right there was a waiter I do have to say it is very upper-crust so bring your A game because it is the who's who of Palm Beach okrrrrrr

Anne Rose

Beautiful restaurant. Incredible hospitality. First class.

As a longtime resident of Palm Beach and a regular patron of Café Boulud, This is the first negative review I've written about any of Daniel Boulud's properties. I want to share with you the most disappointing evening we had on Saturday evening (12/12) as clearly it was not up to Daniel Boulud's standards by any means. We arrived for our 7PM reservation, the restaurant mostly empty and we were promptly seated at a quiet table for two as requested when I made my reservation via Open Table. Drink orders were placed, but failed to arrive in a timely manner. Our waiter, a charming young man, asked twice for our appetizer orders before we ever received our drinks. We had to request bread and butter, usually offered immediately and always delicious. However on Saturday evening it was stale and hard as a rock. When this was brought to ourbread servers' attention, we were told in a dismissive way “it’s all the same”. Our order of Parmesan Risotto with truffles arrived luke warm and a pile of glop—this is the only way to describe risotto with the consistency of wallpaper paste. Dover Sole, a house staple that we’ve ordered many times, arrived after a prolonged wait. I had finished my cocktail, and twice had to ask for a glass of wine which finally arrived after the sole was being prepped. No one asked if we wanted another cocktail so our glasses sat empty. The prep of the sole was a complete failure. The server took so long to prepare the fish under the A/C duct that it was completely cold—even the butter sauce was cold, along with the sauteed greens and plain rice (not basmati as described on the menu). The fish was so cold we sent it back—however, reheating Dover sole destroys the delicate texture of fish so we were left with a warm mushy fish. As one of the most expensive entree's on the menu this totally unsatisfactory performance by the kitchen. As if the meal couldn’t have gotten worse, it seems like the pastry chef also took the night off! Our waiter failed to mention the special Maple Pecan Soufflé earlier in the meal as we would have ordered that but at this point, didn’t want to wait another 20 minutes since it should have been preordered. Nothing exciting, one chocolate selection and very mundane choices. Lastly, we specifically requested decaffeinated espresso to end our meal. When we were both awake at 2:30AM, it was apparent that we were not served decaf. Lastly, the lack of interest in hearing this kind of complaint from a regular customer was apparent when the Maitre D’ heard every detail of this horrific meal and service, gave me his card and said “call me next time”. At this price point and level of competition in Palm Beach, I expected more from Café Boulud. I’ve just reconsidered our plans of bringing our whole family there for New Years and will reserve elsewhere

Nice place for delicious French food. One of the best spots of its kind in the area. There was quick and friendly service. Bring your appetite because portions are large.

Spectacular service, unsurpassed food!!

Frank Biscotti

Great food splendid dining experience and fantastic sever & hostess.

Rudy Everaert

Chef Bourlud offers an excellent French cuisine slightly adapted to the American taste (large sizes)!

Allie Johnson

The ambiance was extremely disappointing. We walked into a beautiful garden with lots of tables pushed together closely, half of them being empty. When we asked the hostess for a more private table we've been told that half of the outdoor area was closed/unutilized for the night. I requested this specifically for our anniversary night ever since the reservation was made because it was our intention to exchange some loving words during dinner, which we couldn't comfortably achieve whilst being affected by other tables' conversations. The space and the pressure to maximize it were definitely a problem. The service was efficient and polite but the whole experience felt rushed from beginning to end. Finally, the food was not outstanding, but overall well achieved. Although I'd avoid the snapper, the only dish that was straight not good. On the bright side, we've been served a complimentary anniversary dessert that was a nice detail. Perhaps I'd come back for a tea time event with friends one day, hoping for a non-rushed relaxing experience this time. Maybe. But ever again for a romantic evening.

Penny Tucker

Had a lovely dinner with friends last month. Sitting outside is lovely weather permitting. The pink Key awestruck shrimp were outstanding. The carrot ginger soup is worth trying. My friend had the stone crabs and enjoyed them. I highly recommend the Dover Sole. Prepared with meunière and amazing. The bacon crusted pork chop was also outstanding. Great consistent food.

Gary Bliss

Over priced. Over rated. Food was not very good

The best drinks and service! Was only there for Happy Hour but will definitely be back.

Brian Long

One of our favorite restaurants in Palm Beach.

Marissa F

It takes a lot to leave me speechless...but Cafe Boulud did just that. I started with a White Cosmopolitan. The drink boasts an ice cube with a flower frozen inside...clever! As the ice melted, I suddenly had a full flower in my glass! The drink was mixed perfectly. The Mahi was beyond delicious. I’m still unsure what wizardry was used to create such an incredible combination of flavors both atop and within, but it was divine! Perfectly prepared. As for dessert, the madeleines were little puffs of Heaven! Be sure to request a table outside by the fountain...the looming palm trees are the perfect accessory to an already stunning aesthetic. What a lovely evening in Palm Beach!

Craig Butterfield

Food is amazing!

Mark Sanchioni

Wonderful, fun wine list. Salmon tartar and hanger steak were beautifully done. Service was on point.

NEXTHOME Real Estate Executives

This is an example of fine dining in Palm Beach. Yes, it is pricey; but the quality is so worth the extra fees and the atmosphere is right on!

Stuart Geller

Delicious Food and Warm, Friendly Professional Waitstaff in a Welcoming Atmosphere.

Robin Schultz

Had a famy celebration after a graduation and the food and service was wonderful !

Linda Stern

I have kept this inside for 5 years but now is definitely the time to tell it. dined here with some friends of mine, and the manager kept coming over making comments about our "lovely smiles", etc, which we already felt was inappropriate. When I had a chance to go to the restroom, he came down the hall to the bathrooms and approached me, and tried to make small talk. He placed his hand on my butt and rubbed it, I immediately pushed his hand away and walked out of the place as fast as possible. ANDREW BURNS is a manager for this company, and there is no doubt I am not the only one he has done this too. It has been 5 years, but It is in my mind EVERY DAY. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS RESTAURANT. THIS MAN ANDREW BURNS STILL WORKS FOR THE COMPANY.

Lucas Maciek

Top of the line Calm cosy and sophisticated. Cod rules.

Patrick Tansor

Lovely spot. Great food and steps of service. Very helpful staff. Beautiful, intimate setting. Great for a date night!

Frank Noe

Is this the kind of place I would normally go to on my own? No. This is the kind of place that people come to when they think that spending more money on food makes it taste better... But, you would probably come here if your employer were willing to pay for it.... Yes, it’s a great place when you don’t have to think about the cost... $36 for a half dozen oysters? I don’t think so, even if you do attach a fancy name to them.... Was the food pleasant? Of course. Do I need 5 different people doting after me? No, but some people do. So, come here for that if you need it.

Highland Beach bum

Here, the food is created with immense amount of research and innovation, and put together in a way that brings out flavor, the flavor that is forgotten, lost, doesn't exist anymore in your regular restaurants. I would give this 6 stars given it was possible....

Jessica Walker

Just had dinner there with some friends. Amazing food, great vibe, really great night!

Tanya M

Amazingly Delicious! Had a fantastic 3 course meal (lunch) Green gazpacho to die for, fish and delicious deserts! Staff was very attentive and the atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing. Only wish we were staying in town long enough that I could’ve eaten there a few more times! Highly recommended!

Marie-Alice Mandich

Delicious dinner, innovative!

ERIC WEINMAN

Had generously portioned fine dining from price fixed menu lunch. Attentive service of fresh tasty food.

Haley Neuhoff

Good food, okay service, beautiful venue, nice music.

GRACE MCINTOSH

Food and service was amazing

Jeff York

Went for brunch on Sunday. Ambiance was a little dated but quality of food and service was that of an established fine dining restaurant. An enjoyable brunch in Palm Beach.

arlene fauser

New Years 5 course dinner, mediocre food, service somewhat annoying to unprofessional at this 5 star level (should I have to ask for my water glass to be refilled!), felt rushed , courses served too quickly, a nice but far from experienced waiter. Wine I asked for on the by the glass wine list but not available.- seriously!!! Tell me it's not available before I choose. Would never do this again. Extremely overpriced for the experience.

VL M

People watching and exquisite food

E Rukos

Cozy and elegant with all the Boulud experience.

Wine Dine

Epitome of excellence. Did not disappoint and lived up to our expectations as we're Jean George die hards. Excellent mixologists, food was perfect. Garden setting is just lovely.

PETER HSICORP

Exceptional food and service

Jenny Jordan

Wait staff and ambiance really nice. Expensive. Allowed a dog at the bar with its owners. Not very sanitary. Beware of word "consumption" when submitting bill. My $21 cheeseburger turned into a $28 boring burger because the bill was split 3 ways even though I tried to tell staff I wanted individual. Not interested in returning.

Bill Schierl

Outside patio dining was magical. Outstanding food...service slightly less than 5 star.

Kevin Merszei

Ah yes, Chef Daniel Boulud brings his NY world to Palm Beach. I have been here both for lunch and dinner. Lunch is WAY overrated! Dinner is excellent and the food is very solid. I would not however rate it as high as Zagat has... The restaurant and the Brazilian Court are very romantic and great places to bring someone special. The service is impeccable, and outweighs any shortcomings in the food.

John Strauss

This is an update form my review year ago. == The restaurant has undergone a wonderful makeover. It is more inviting, with a large bar area integrated in the dining room. The menu is easier to understand, with fewer menu selections, but more than enough should you care to dine here every night of the week. The new Sommelier is French with a particular expertise in Caifornia wines. Th sound level is moderate, unlike most other new restaurants. So, this really still is the best in Palm Beach and of Florida ==== With the demise of the restaurant at the Breakers ( reborn as the "tapas bar" HMF) , this is the only true fine dining restaurant left in the East Coast of South Florida. Yes, Cafe L'Europe serves well-executed European standards, as does Chez Jean-Pierre. However, Cafe Boulud brings a creativity to traditional food with perfect technique. On any evening there are at least 15 completely different entree choices, not to mention the award-winning desert creations. Service is done with discretion and elegance. I have been seated next to well-known celebrities and no one looks, no one gets excited. Everyone is there to enjoy a luxurious meal. Oh, and this is the place if you like great wines. The sommelier Marya Kovaceva selects surprising values; tell her your favorite wine and let her bring you an alternative. You will get a nice surprise

Donna Isroff

Dined at Cafe Boulud March 24 and could not have been more disappointed in the dinner. I do not know who was in the kitchen that night but 3 of the 4 meals were sent back practically un touched. We did not complain or send the food back but no one asked why our meals were not eaten. The souffle was excellent, the garden lovely as always and the staff attentive However, we will no longer be coming back.

Armando Perez

Great place delicios food nice anviance

Marta Weinstein

Better to experience for dinner.

James Stark

Iconic bar and restaurant. Pricey.

Trevor Sumner

Located in the Surrey Hotel Cafe Boulud serves some of the prettiest and delicious food in the city. I went there for brunch with my visiting family and it was impeccable. Service is very formal and the price tag is certainly quite high ($45 for a smallish sized entree) but the dishes are impeccable and beautifully plated. The service was not as friendly as I tend to appreciate. Great place but very pricey.

Sean Mathews

Good food and spectacular outside area. As with everything on the Island the food and most definitely the wine is exorbitantly priced, but hey what do you expect. The Brazilian Court is a real treat to finish the night at. We also attended a private Cheval Blanc and Chateau d'Yquem tasting hosted by Pierre Lurton the President Director General of both properties. The staff was extremely professional and the event was expertly executed.

Kelli Mullican

Womderfult Customer service and the meal was amazing ! Will definitely be back for the half off bottle sundays and Tuesday no corkage fee! Food was outstanding!

Nathaniel Dorr

Have been a loyal patron of this fine establishment for 6 years. Wonderful atmosphere. Amazing staff. This is the place to see and be seen while enjoying amazing, always consistent, high quality fare in Palm Beach. Has never disappointed.

Robert Langer

Had the tasting menu with wine pairing. Apart from the food and wine being 10/10, the service was impeccable. Additionally the chef sent out I’d say 3-4 smaller dishes he put together for no additional cost. Above and beyond experience.

Greta Hunter

We had our company holiday party at Cafe Boulud. Beautiful room, outstanding food and impeccable service!

arron miller

Excellent on all aspects, food, atmosphere and service.

Michael Burke

Excellent dinner like always. Friendly staff at an upscale restaurant in Palm Beach

Diane D'Allaire

Outstanding in every way! Original cocktails, fine food and wine, the lobster was delicate and sweet, chicken here is elevated to the next level! Service is impeccable! This will probably become a yearly event!

Donald Moniger

Once you walk into Cafe Boulud, you are welcomed with a perfect atmosphere and a very professional manner by the staff. The look and furnishing of the location feels very cozy and settled to the point where you do feel like you are treated with respect and courtesy. Had the chicken and potatoes. Beautiful setup and tasted like nothing I have ever had before. The chicken was juicy and coated evenly. Potatoes were phenomenal. Dessert was very cute and tasted heavenly. If you need a place to eat, I'd highly recommend coming for lunch (or get a reservation for the future)!

Alexia Ducanois

Amazing food and prestigious service. Adorable patio for outdoor seating.

Suly Pierre

I eat there all the time. With great

Corey Birtles

An impressive menu. Delectable and delicious. Quite the fancy location

Sara Johns Griffen

Cafe Boulud is one of the great restaurants of Palm Beach - I just wish that they would introduce more vegan options on the menu. I had to ask for a vegan entree and was presented with a tasty pilaf with some bits of broccoli but feel they could have used more imagination to make a spectacular dish with more vegetables in the same manner that they create their amazing meat and fish based dishes.

Sharab Mohamed

Went for Mother's Day . Food was pricey which was expected but tasteless and disappointing. Had enough staff. Courtyard was great.

Michael Heck

I’ve visited several of Daniel’s restaurants around North America and I must say that Rebecca’s positive attitude brightens the atmosphere at the bar! Bravo, Rebecca!

Valeria Grunbaum

Great service, great food. Got the scallops and they were one of the best. Loved the presentation. Will go back soon to try the brunch.

Tom Barnes

Service and food are top notch. Perhaps the best restaurant in South Florida right now. Certainly my favorite! Go for the bargain lunch- only $20.11 for 3 courses! Graceful and quiet, this place is serious about its kitchen.

Vivek Reddy

Excellent for breakfast.

Melissa Ferguson

The food was very good. My server was not. I would give it another try.

Sam Hisey

We had the tasting menu. It was 5 courses and I am giving it 2 stars because only two of the dishes were up to the standards of what we were paying. The meal was $360 USD. The first course was raw Amber Jack. It was not cold enough, making it too fishy. The second course was good, it was a red pepper risotto. The next course was Grouper. It was not left to rest long enough after searing making the sauce watery. The next course was duck and it was good. The final course was cheese cake It was ok. Definitely not something to write home about. A lady at the table next to us had the Filet which she said was great. I would suggest eating at the far superior Buccan down the road or not having the tasting menu.

Robert Jacobs

Went to business luncheon here and food was very plain and bland, like food you would receive at a hospital or nursing home. Had a small chicken breast that looked and tasted like it was baked, plain. No spices. It was tender but that's about all I can say for it. Mashed potatoes were bland and watercress for side. Pre lunch salad was mixed greens with cherry tomatoes, olives and big slices of raw onion and carrot. No dressing. Staff was nice but some of them obviously couldn't speak or understand English. I won't be going back.

Rebecca Hadley

Fantastic food as always and the staff goes out of their way to make you feel at home

J Schroeder

Excellent food and service but pricey, as is expected for a place with ambiance.

Jill Bertrand

My spouse and I try to visit at least one notable restaurant on every vacation trip we make. Our stop in South Florida was notable. Daniel Boulud has rightly earned his long list of honors and superlatives. Staff was attentive and prompt. The food was excellent. We had a lovely, romantic evening and count it as a highlight of our trip. Whether you sit in the veranda for lunch or inside for dinner, the impeccable service, ambiance, and excellent food will make it a memorable fine dining experience.

Ellery Gordon

Great setting, ask for the garden terrace. Professional service and the best food in PB.

Went to a fundraiser for the Historical Society of Palm Beach at Cafe Boulard. The service was excellent! It was a cocktail party and I loved the hor's d'oeuvres. Everything from the food to the valet parking was wonderful.

Amazing!!! Great location.

Small cafe but a very nice one. We have been here for breakfast and we loved their omelette that tastes very good

Eric Hahn

Delicious food but surprisingly slow service.

Gonzalo Rodriguez

Visited the cafe with two friends and their 1 yro baby on Friday, July 19th. I was very excited to dine here knowing Chef Daniel Boulud is behind all this. Very pretty setting and very courteous maitre d. He even played with my friend's baby every time he walked by. The excitement vanished as soon as the waiter approached us (never introducing himself)and started to take our orders. I have a culinary background so I had some questions about the menu and wine and when asked he just seem as if he had no time for us. When I asked about their Rosé wine he interrupted and suggested a red Bordeaux which we had no interest in. After almost an hour went by I had to ask the maitre d to please check on our order. Order came and everything was very delicious except my crab, capellini and bottarga pasta was missing the bottarga and replaced with panko. When I asked the waiter his response was: oh! They just sprinkle it very lightly, you can hardly tasted. Left completely disappointed and sorry I didn't mention it to the GM when we were there.

Tim Dunn

Met a friend for lunch, great food, atmosphere, try the garlic soup devine. Culinary magnificence

Michael Kirk

Great ambience, food and drinks

Laura Sokolewicz

Amazing cocktails and food!!!@!

Leonardo Pessoa

One of my favorites restaurants ever. My first visit was so perfect that I wanted to go back. I went there trying to repeat the experience. I sat in the quaint grown-in patio of the Brazilian court hotel. To my surprise, the waiter was the same nice person who attended to us for our first visit. Evran is a great turkish american guy who I could talk to for the whole night. I ordered the same duck that I had the first time and it was one of the best meals I have ever had. Everything was amazing. Congratulations Cafe Boulud, we can't wait to go back.

rita spevak

I can't even imagine how good the food must be, considering the out-of-this-world desserts

Jonathan M.

Nothing mind blowing or spectacular. The prices aren't so bad, but making a dish with 9 different things on the plate an calling each of them something fancy like "pistachio dust" or "roasted pickled beet chips"....all that is cool, but I'm trying to eat a steak and a salad, spare me the experiments unless you plan on making them actually taste good and have functionality to the dish.

EMS

Amazing Dijon Chicken

Heaven's Gate

Exquisite! A little piece of heaven on earth! C'est Magnifique.

Ryan Roy

Excellent dining experience. My wife and I went here for our 15th wedding anniversary and this place did not disappoint. From the service and the staff and all the way to the food. I don't think there are enough stars here to do it any justice.
