Bubbalou's may not be fancy, but it has some of the best BBQ in the Orlando area. Let's face it, BBQ is very subjective and everyone has their own personal tastes. I personally prefer it to 4 Rivers and feel that the sauces are 100x better. I enjoyed the sliced pork dinner on this visit which comes which yummy crinkle cut fries, great coleslaw, beans which are near perfect and Texas toast. The iced tea is great and they also have a selection of beers and sodas if you prefer. They have both inside and outside seating and service is usually fast but not super friendly. They don't advertise it, but you can get free refills by going to the counter and asking for it. Parking can be a pain during peak times in this plaza, so you might have to park a little bit away or circle a few times... but it's worth it!

Bubbalou's Bodacious Bar-B-Que was a pleasant surprise. I sampled the pulled pork sandwich, collard greens and fried okra paired with a PBR ($3 16OZ). The pork was tender and juicy and is served on a toasted roll without sauce allowing you to choose from a selection in including mustard, hot and killer sauces. I went with the killer and it didn't disappoint! Fortunately, I had the PBR. The okra we're perfectly fried and salted just right. As for the collards, they appear to be prepared the traditional southern way with pork added for flavor. With Orlando having so many chains, it's nice to find a quality restaurant doing things the right way (smokers are on site). It is a little bit of a trip from the Disney area, but it's worth it. Excellent value. I am not going to pretend to be any kind of Bbq connoisseur or anything., But I thought the food was very good. My point of this review is simply to relate that we were able to feed our family of four for approximately $50. Anytime we can do that while on vacation, I'm happy. Also the service was excellent ( free refills )... Everyone was very courteous & welcoming.

I came in yesterday to order to go and the cashier with braces and brunette hair is extremely disgusting! Burping real loud in front of us and laughing about it too. Super rude and disrespectful to act like that in front of customers and think it funny! The food was good but I definitely won’t return because of this and very disappointed. Worst service ever

I've been away from here for 2 years and now that I'm back, I need Bubbalou's on the regular. Some of the best food around and one of my favorite burgers. My only complaint was that there was no pickle. The beans are awesome the ribs have great smokey flavor. I'm picky and I adore this place.

Our family was exhausted from walking around Universal all day as well as spending way to much money on bland overpriced food in the park. The kids asked for ribs so looking online we found this bbq restaurant not 10 min away. The staff was SO friendly, especially to my cranky 9 year old. After being bumped and stepped on all day it was a nice change. Everything we ordered was DELICIOUS. The ribs were terrific, we loved all the different bbq sauces on the table, the beans were the best we ever had, kids loved the corn bread and Mac and cheese. The rib dinner with all the sides were easily big enough for two adults to split. We decided to get 6 corn bread to go and the manager wouldn’t even let us pay for them! Absolutely recommend 100%.

Love Bubbalou's Bodacious BBQ! This is the first time I've been to this location, but it was great, and staff were friendly. I had ribs and wings for takeout, ribs were good, but the smoked wings were awesome. So much better than fried or baked. Ice tea was pretty good, too. Dinner was a little on the pricy side, but you get what you pay for! Do it!

Great food and always consistent. Make it a point to stop in whenever I am in that area. My only rant would he that the outdoor seating is not a "non-smoking" area. Nothing more annoying than enjoying a meal whilst the table next to you is puffing away.

I ordered from here via DoorDash and let me just say I am HIGHLY disappointed in this place. I had a pretty long day and really didn’t feel like cooking for my family tonight, so I just ordered in. I had a full meal missing from my order along with an order of red velvet cake! Not only that, the sauce that was suppose to go on my chicken, ribs & turkey was super cold! AND to top it all off, everything but the Mac n cheese literally tasted unseasoned. I really had so much hopes in this place, considering the reviews but I was beyond disappointed. I might as well went to Sonny’s (which I despise) if I knew my experience was going to be like this. Sorry, but my family and I won’t be trying here again. On the bright side though, the lady who delivered my food was the sweetest.

First time doing online ordering - simple and quick. Food was ready in <15 minutes and it was ready when I arrived Don’t change a thing with your process. The baked beans are to die for. Next success would be hot food hot and cold food cold. Cole slaw and fries just limped to the finish line. Overall a solid 4 stars

Definitely some of the best BBQ around, smoky and well seasoned. Add Killer sauce or, if you're really brave, Psycho or Hank's sauce (by request) for a spicy finish to your meat. The sides are also great - baked beans seasoned to perfection, tasty slaw, and tender-crisp fries. Their four meat combo is a great deal, easily shareable for two.

On December 6th around 12: 27hs I was in this establishment and got a very big disappointment, in which I will report. I arrived and was greeted with a "Hello" super enthusiastic! So I asked for the menu and at the same time the one who had been so nice, answered me that there was no menu there and asked me "If she did not speak Portuguese how would I ask? So I replied that I would look at Google translator and I ended up requesting the request then. Then, as I sat down at the table, I noticed that she was speaking to several officials about what had happened to me and I felt discriminated against because I still could not speak English. I suffered bullying and this is very serious here in America. I was so nervous and without action that I did not ask her name. Plus I know he was in the box, he wears glasses, has short, dark hair and speaks Portuguese. Although I really like your food, I will not go back there and I want to warn people who do not speak English to be careful not to go through what I went through.

If you’re looking for incredible baby back Ribs and barbecue this is the place, The meat falls off the bones. They give you a baby back rib dinner with french fries two sides and Texas toast for $15 The pork and beans also have pulled pork in them incredible very good. My wife had the pulled pork sandwich it was excellent. nothing fancy just a great place for a real good barbecue. been back many many times and will continue to come back ....

Great food served hot and fresh. I usually get the pulled pork basket with fries and beans. What bothers me about this place is that they now ask for tips when you pay which I believe is tasteless considering there are no servers. They offer counter service only. I don't think taking an order, pouring a drink and carrying my order to a table warrants the same tips we pay to servers. It's not like places that have a tip jar we all ignore, you have to decline tipping if you don't want to tip.

The food was delicious. I ordered the Baby Backs and shrimp. The ribs were tender and the meat fell off the bone which is how I like my ribs. It comes with four sides- fries, baked beans, cole slaw, and garlic bread. Everything was good except I didn't really care too much for the cole slaw. They also have really good sauces! The customer service was great there! I accidentally ordered the wrong thing and one of the male employees there was nice enough to have the kitchen remake my order with what I actually meant to order. Now thats customer service! If I wasn't just visiting Orlando from California I would be a regular customer.

This is my first time dining here. The atmosphere is a bit rustic but very clean. There is seating outside which is nice so you can enjoy the weather. I chose the platter so I could make a good review of the food. It came with corn bread, baked beans, pulled pork, ribs, brisket and chicken with cole slaw and fries. The chicken was very moist and well seasoned so were the ribs and pulled pork. I loved the baked beans a sit had some shreaded pork mixed in with the beans. The brisket was a bit dry for my taste.The corn bread was just right not overly sweet. There are several bbq sauces on the dining table from sweet to very spicy. I definitely enjoyed my bbq meal and qill be going back again.

Do not get the sliced beef. It's tough and has clearly been microwaved/warmed over. Mentioned that it had a warmed up taste and asked for some that was fresh. The waitress did take the plate and returned a few moments later with the exact same meat. After this, she never returned to check on us. $12 for lunch wasted because I left starving. Will not be back, ever.

Excellent Customer Service and Attentiveness. Food was OK. I got the Ribs, Chicken, Sliced Pork and Beef Platter which I upgraded to Brisket for an extra $2. The good- chicken was moist and flavorful. The spare ribs were juicy and done just right. They weren't trimmed, but I don't mind the extras. The beans were very rich and had what looked like pork and greens with just the right amount of brown sugar and smoke for my liking. Coleslaw was good as was the texas toast garlic bread for mopping up the sauce which were all ok, not great, but good enough I guess. The bad - sliced pork was dry and over smoked with no other flavor. I tried, but couldn't eat anymore after the first bites. Brisket was over cooked and so dry it was brittle. Mac and Cheese was boring, not creamy and had too many overcooked, maybe microwaved edges. Will I return? Sure, the menu is robust and I saw some other tables with pulled pork and catfish that looked really good.

Look for the 3 dancing pigs to find some good eats at what we discovered is a long standing Orlando staple. Lots of endorsements on the walls from visiting celebrities over the years and many awards and accolades. The pulled pork was so delicious without any of the sauce provided on all the tables. The only thing I didn't care for was the coleslaw, just wasn't sweet enough.

Best barbecue place around! My wife and I always come here and we love it. I'm a spicy food lover and my wife is not. They have Psycho sauce if you really like spicy barbecue I recommend it, however be careful it's very spicy! They don't even sell it because it's off the charts!

Good ribs and decent sides. Sweet tea is kinda blah, though. Service at counter is eh. Some are nice, but most seem to be detached and not very friendly. Although, the staff that delivers your meals are typically very good & friendly for some reason, and they're doing the leg work. Go figure. Too bad we can't just place our own orders and skip the lackluster counter staff. It's always hit or miss whether they keep up with drink refills, too, for such a high price. So thumbs down for overall service.

Described as "Florida BBQ," this joint has some pretty strong street cred. Smoked with oak (the only locally sourced hardwood) the meat has a pretty good flavor. Their crinkle-cut fries are the way the should be: crispy and salty. I was told their beans recipe is nearly 100 years old. While my favorite is Texas BBQ, I think I've find a new favorite stop when in Orlando!

I ordered the brisket basket and my friend had the brisket platter. Was told the only difference was 2 vs 4 sides. My brisket was a single slice and a few scraps on a steak roll. The platter had a nice pile of meat, but took 20 minutes to be served. Beyond that, the flavor was pretty good and the servers were very polite.

Whenever we visit Orlando this place makes the list for best BBQ! The sauce is just a part of the package and be sure to try the extra extra hot! The sweet tea is homemade like grandma used to make, refills were free and boy did we enjoy it this last time. If you need some good BBQ this place is for you. It has all the good options from chicken, ribs, brisket, pulled pork to collard greens, breads and thick cut crinkle fries! The meats come out "dry" (sauceless) but is juicy and flavorful even without the sauces. 5 different types of sauce is on the table and you can sauce up to your hearts desire. I recommend the bodacious combo with brisket and pulled pork. The pulled pork is perfect!

Ordered to-go from the Conroy rd location. Got the brisket and baby back ribs for about $38 with the tip... When I got home I opened the containers to find 2 thin slices of brisket and a nearly meatless rack of ribs. What a disappointment and waste of money. I am never getting back.

Bland food and terrible customer service! The girl at the counter was more than not interested in why I'm there and what I need - no greeting, no thank you, no information on when my order will be ready! She asked for my name and as I'm spelling it for her she just turns around and leaves without listening or writing it on my ticket - why the hell are you even asking??? I opened my food at home to find unseasoned ribs, fries from the freezer section at Wallmart, canned beans and completely bland cole slaw! The toasted bread was the only good thing! The place attracts you with the amazing smell that comes out of it, but once you taste the food you realize it is mediocre! The cashier that I got (black girl with red short bob) has no business greeting or talking to people! Will not be back!

My colleague took me to Bubbalou's for an early lunch as he said 'you can't get a seat after 12N'. He had been numerous times and recommended the ribs. The lunch portion was plenty for a full meal. The meat was extremely tender with great seasoning requiring no other sauces to make it better. The service was great and the ladies checked on us several times to ensure we had all we needed for our meal. If you are in the area, stop by and enjoy some good BBQ at Bubbalou's.

The staff is friendly but the food has no flavor and my ribs were hard. My friend had the pulled pork sandwich which was chewy and still flavorless. They had it before and it was tender. The wings were delicious. Very disappointed but friends says their coworkers love this place. A little salt and pepper would do them a world of good or marinade the meats.

The place is simple with picnic style tables. We walked in, ordered and sat down. My food was on a separate ticket. The other four people had their food for about ten minutes when I finally asked about mine. Apparently the ticket had not printed. They apologized and asked if they could give me anything while I waited, but I said no. I did enjoy my pulled pork when it finally came out. Very tasty. I ended up needing to get a takeout box because the rest of the party was finished when I was about halfway through. The servers were very nice. Just the one glitch kept me from really enjoying everything fully.

My favorite barbeque so far, ANYWHERE. We found this place in 2012 when we were in the area and it left a mark. It is the bbq pit I have and will compare all others.... Texas style beef brisket is done the way it is supposed to be done. Wifey enjoyed the pulled chicken sandwich, kids love the Mac n' cheese. I can't wait to go back. Highly recommend.

I've eaten at two other locations previously, and the taste is consistent. During our lunch time visit, there was a short wait to place order and pay, but that is was to be expected. Food came out quickly.

I dine here often when I'm in town on business. Incredibly inconsistent. Yesterday's meal was quite good. Each of the meats juicy and tender. Ordered the same thing tonight and it was garbage. Ribs and beef were both way over cooked and dried out. Very disappointed. If I come back in again, I'm going to poll the patrons as to how their meal was before I order anything. This should cut down the risk that I'll be served substandard food that should go in the garbage and not on a plate.

Always go to Sonny's but ate here a couple of weeks ago and have been ordering regularly now. They have a kind staff and the ToGo specialist was awesome and sold me a chocolate cake and carrot cake while picking up my last order. Everything about this restaurant has that southern home cooked feeling to it. I am forever a customer of this wonderful BBQ restaurant. Keep doing what you'll do.

Disappointed. The Bubba Lou special was suggested and we received 2 portions of sliced deli meat and 2 other portion . The Ribs were fat (not the melting fat but the hard fatty fat fat) . Very fatty and the turkey wing (or very large chicken wing) was ok. (Not really ok) Sorry I dont review this way but it was necessary.

The food is delicious, and the portions are generous. We tried the fried catfish meal, the salad with grilled chicken, and a side of fried okra. The breading was golden and crisp, not soggy, and the food was perfectly cooked, not dried out or over-cooked like a lot of our experience with BBQ places in the past. And the corn bread! Absolutely perfect! I can't rave enough about Bubba's, and we'll be back for more soon! Add-on 10/10/19: Visited again recently, and once again, I can't say enough about how great the food is!

Thought this place was gonna be a lot better... got the big pig sandwich with fries and beans. Cousin ordered a cheese burger. His burger was basically burnt. Fries were cold. My sandwich tasted good, but immediately got sick once I got back to my hotel. Never going back there again. Now my stomach is empty. I'm going to Wendy's instead.

So I just ordered take out and the lady at the register with black hair and glasses took 15 to place my order. She got everything wrong and had to call over another girl to finish taking my order. She has no customer service skills and should be taken away from the front. She belongs in the back where she doesn’t have to deal with customers! I used to love this place until they hired all these dummy’s who can’t take an order properly! Won’t ever be coming back

Visited this place twice. Pretty good BBq. Especailly Baby Backs are deliciouse - so soft and tender. Turkey was ok, half chicken as well. dinner served with fries, beans. coleslaw and toasts. On each table, there is several bottles of bbq sauces including their "Killer" one :-)
