The place looked packed but we decided to sit by the bar and check out the drinks that were coming out. The ambience in this restaurant is very sexy and chic. We decided on some Taj Majal lager beers and complimentary they gave us what was a pita chip with some of there spices as a dip.

Being from NYC, Bombay Darbar had a pretty tough standard to meet when it comes to Indian cuisine. Bombay Darbar exceeded that standard. Some of the best Indian cuisine. Service was excellent as well. I will definitely return for a great meal the next time I am in town.

Delicious food and great atmosphere, but just know that their spicy levels are not that spicy. A “hot” for them is the equivalent of a mild anywhere else. We asked for the hottest sauce and they brought us one that wasn’t even hot. Make sure to make reservations beforehand because it does get packed.

Reasonably priced high quality restaurant. The staff are very courteous and the manager was on top taking care of little things to make our dinner a pleasant experience. The food was well cooked and prepared, spicy as you request and there's also "halal" lamb option, which I wish they extend this to other meats. The restroom was clean. My first time at this restaurant was a few months ago. The food was very very good, and I typically do not enjoy Indian food. But, their style of cooking makes Indian food taste uniquely fresh, very flavorful, and quite appealing. I particularly love their chicken with curry sauce dish, and their lamb is to die for. And their sweet yellow mango drink is very refreshing, as is their Indian beer. Their prices are reasonable and you get a very good value for your money.

Went for dinner. We were given complementary pappadoms and two salsa-type sauces (in Europe we normally have lime pickle, mango chutney, mint raita). We chose shrimp vindaloo $18.95 and Goan shrimp curry $19.95 which came with rice included. We were asked by the waiter the level of spiciness that we liked. The shrimps were fresh and the dishes were spiced exactly as requested. The service too was excellent. With sparkling water $6.50 and a really good and reasonably priced Cabernet Sauvignon $49, tax and service the meal for 2 came to $126 which we consider is extremely good value.

Unfortunately we never got to try the food.. we went there I. The morning but there was a two hour wait.. agreed we didn’t call and check .. but in the evening we made sure we called them and they said they there was a 30 min wait.. we drive 20 ins to reach there and they said they were not taking any new customers.. we requested them as we had 2 kids with us as well.. they were very rude and didn’t even acknowledge their mistake that they should have mentioned over the phone when we called that they were not going to get any new guests.. very disappointed as we were really interested in trying the food as we loved the Miami restaurant a lot

Very attentive and rapid service. A reservation is recommended as there is a long queue for non reserved customers. The only downside is the noise level....it is not a place for a cosy, romantic dinner!!!!

Excellent food every time I visited. The service is outstanding - very professional and polite servers. They make sure the food is prepared as per your spice level instructions. Paneer makhani and Chana masala are my favorite entrees there. I liked vegetable pakoras in the appetizers section. They also have a good cocktail menu as well - I highly recommend Bombay Blue.

This has become one of my personal favorite restaurants in Miami. The staff is extremely attentive and professional, and I've always been treated like a valued guest, even when I came for lunch as a disheveled college kid in basketball shorts a few years back. Everything about their customer service just radiates professionalism. As good as their service is though, the real star of Bombay Darbar is the excellent food. It is far and away the BEST Indian food I have ever eaten, and actually ranks highly as some of the best restaurant food I've had the pleasure to enjoy in my life. Go in hungry, willing to try new things, and with a group of people who you can share food with, and you are in for a great night. And most importantly, the prices are fair. Bombay Darbar is fine dining without pretention; all the good with none of the bad. An absolute MUST visit.

I'm not a big fan of Indian food, but out of all the other places I've been to, this place is by far the best. Don't get the same thing as the other person as you can share with at least one other person. Not all their plates taste alike. Get the donuts for dessert... The we're amazing but very sweet and somewhat soggie, but I'm fine with that. The pistachio ice cream is edible, but just a little bit (they serve about 4 scoops). Overall, great place to take a a go to Indian restaurant. Beware, not cheap, but worth going with friends and or family.

I went on a Thursday around 6pm and was quickly seated. The staff was fun and friendly. Drinks were moderately priced around 11-15. The glasses are small but the drinks pack a punch. This restaurant genuinely deserves all the praise and appreciation. This is by far the best Indian food I've had in the US. I was impressed by not only the food, but also the customer service is amazing. The waiter was very patient, friendly and made sure every now and then if we needed anything. The flavors of the food was rich and perfect in spice level (they do ask while ordering your preferred choice of spice level). The portion size was perfect. Incase of extra leftovers, they were more than happy to pack them in to-go boxes. The place gets filled up very quickly (no surprise), so please call and reserve in advance. The owner of the restaurant was very friendly and passed by a couple of times to make sure we are doing okay. If you have a chance, please do try the 'Peshawari Naan'. It blew my mind! I am going back.

I have eaten in many Indian restaurants in my life. This place ranks in the top one or two best restaurants I've ever eaten in. Bar none the service was the fastest I've ever seen. They have a huge seating area with lots of people filling those seats tonight, yet our food came out faster than I've ever seen in most restaurants despite the volume of people. Hands down the best tandoori chicken I've ever had. Tasty, flavorful combinations on all fronts. Extremely pleased and if I lived in this area I be back here often. In fact, most people call the manager to complain, tonight, I called the manager to thank him for such an amazing experience.

This place might be good for people that have never tried Indian food before, but for those who are Indian/Asian descent, or familiar with Indian food, this is not the place for you.

1 hour wait for some 1 star food. I paid nearly $70 for cold dishes that were made with the same gravy. I am Indian and I know this is just plain wrong. If this was an American person they would not notice the difference.. but to make average food and sell as authentic Indian cuisine is not showing the true taste of how rich our food really is! The manager was apologetic and gave us a discount. But to be honest I would rather have my food sent back and made right! It’s a nice place to dine at but I’m never going back..

But what makes this place outstanding is their service! From the front desk to our waiter to the Manager that day, they made us feel at home from the time we stepped in the restaurant! I get that it’s upsetting that I’m not eating your food, but when the owner yells at me, even as a joke, to try the food it scares me, I’m not your friend or family member. That’s so unprofessional, you don’t know me as a person you don’t know if I have issues with people yelling. Yeah, don’t really care for this place at all. Thank you

We came here hungry and left really stuffed and amazed! The best by far was the tandoori lamb chops plate- several incredibly tasty lamb chops on a hot plate with veggies, highly recommend! The other lamb dishes and the fish with cashew sauce was also very good. The soups were a bit underwhelming. Overall, great portions and very tasty food! The service was prompt and kind.

Always wanted to come and we finally did. Cannot compare to any other Indian restaurant because they are very, very authentic! The chicken masala is extraordinary, and in general all their flavors are bold and rich. The service is just the epitome of how to be treated in a restaurant, they're friendly, and enjoyable. I'm not a real big fan of Indian food. However, for Indian food this place is not bad at all. I've been for lunch a couple of times. As of 2019, they have a fifteen dollar lunch plate. It is decent for Indian food. If you like Indian food, check this place out and give me your feedback. The pictures are the 15 dollar lunch plate.

This place has a great ambience and a decent service. I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 just because the food was nice overall but missed that punch which makes you drool over the Indian cuisine. Usually while devouring Indian food, our stomachs would be full but the heart would want more. No such feeling here, we couldn’t finish so much food and wanted to wrap up quickly. We were not sure of the portion size and they made us order more saying it’ll not be enough. The rasmalai (dessert) was a readymade frozen pick mostly from Costco.

The quality of the food is good. Great ambience. But, I think it went to their head. They gave only 4 wings when we ordered Tandoori Wings. We got 6 earlier. When we asked the waiter he said it has always been 4. And the manager came to us and said it was based on weight. If the wings weigh more, they give less in number. Ingenuous answer.

This is the best Indian restaurant in this area.This place will never disappoint you. Will serve such good and tasty food . Also , will give you an altogether fantastic dining experience. This place probably offers the best dining experience in the town. I usually visit Bombay Darbar, and I find this place really good. My wife also likes this place. They never let you down and always give you memorable experience.

If you are looking for a true Indian restaurant, do not hesitate and go directly to Bombay Darbar @ Coconut Grove. If you do not like spicy, they will accommodate each meal to make sure you can enjoy the Mango Chicken Curry, Lamb chop Masala, Tandoori Shrimps... if you like spicy... say nothing and you feel to be in Bombay!... Staffs are really friendly, attentive and quite fast service with very large dinner room! Make a reservation and enjoy!
