We had a great experience this afternoon. I asked if I could bring my own food for a child with allergies & they agreed. We were 8 people, dined off their a la carte menu. Not one of us was disappointed. Even their cappuccino & dessert was outstanding. Oh, and service was phenomenal. I'm sorry I haven't tried them sooner!

We stayed at the hotel connected to Blue Matisse (the Intercontinental Hotel-Doral) for over two weeks on business and I can hardly put into words how outstanding the staff was. We enjoyed breakfast there every morning, and German and Rene always had a smile on their face, carried an upbeat conversation with us, and made it feel like we were sitting at our kitchen table at home. Our stay was made by the staff at Blue Matisse. I have never experienced customer service as superior as theirs. Hopefully we go on another trip there, I can't wait to see them again!

Our weekly Team Breakfasts were becoming stale. I suggested we go to Blue Matisse for breakfast and everyone available agreed. Breakfast is either buffet style or from the menu. We looked at the menu and walked around the buffet. It was an easy choice, the buffet. If you wanted a light breakfast, it was a tough choice, if you wanted a Full breakfast experience, not a problem, you had choices. The only commonality across the teams plates, everyone had some type of bread. Eggs to order, bacon, ham, link sausage, pancakes, all kinds of fresh fruit, and cereals (hot or cold), cheeses, jams and jellies were all there. Everyone saw something on someone else's plate that required a second trip around the buffet. The coffee was really good, good to the point we asked what kind was it. All were very happy we went to the Blue Matisse and agreed we need to add it to our weekly breakfast rotation.

Looked like a nice place to have a late lunch... I just checked in and wanted something good... Went over and was seated. It was a off time around 2:30 So it was slow. Not much staff.... I get the extra wait.... My girlfriends order comes and it was very rare ans she asked for well done. By the time we get it sent back I was finished with my meal. I was going to wait but we knew if I did it would be cold by the time her order was replaced. No biggie... Qe get the check and I asked about my 10% off for being a guess that the front desk told us about.... They take 15% off my girlfriends order as if I was complaining about the wait which I wasn't. And then I see a $9 service charge. I asked about it and they seemed to not speak English. Oh well...... The food was good. The service wasn't. I'm sure it was bad tuning but if you are going to bw open for service I would think you would have proper staff. Would I try them again??? I'm not sure...

Very good dining experience. We dined with a party of seven. And all members were pleased with their entrees which raged from salads to the pork chop and seafood dishes. I ordered the grouper and found it to be tasty but unfortunately the fish was a bit over cooked which took away from the overall dining experience. However, it was not to the point I felt warranted mentioning to our server or to return. A business associate ordered the pork chop and he loved it. I sampled a piece and it was cooked perfectly and had a very nice flavor glazed sauce (a perfect amount). Service was good and our server was professional and attentive. It did take longer o get the check but once we did settling the bill was relatively quick. For a hotel restaurant it was surprisingly good. And I would recommend it if you are staying at the hotel or are in the area.

This is an amazing place to grab lunch if you are in Doral. For a quick bite, there's the buffet that has a different yummy selection every day and if you have the time, well , get something off the menu of mouthwatering goodness. The sea bass is so tender that it melts in your mouth, and the grouper a lot macho is accompanied by perfectly cooked seafood. The service was average the first time I was there but the second time I was taken care of by this sweet old man, Reve I think?, that was very attentive the entire time.

Do you have that feeling when all seems great in the beginning and then it goes downhill? That's how I felt during my lunch buffet visit to Blue Matisse. We did look at the display of items before we sat down, it looked good. But then as we started to taste item by item, it wasn't all that great. There were too few items for the price. It was Mexican day, but all they had was 2-3 items on the menu. The desserts were a disaster.

I took my mom for mother's day brunch. The food was delicious. They had normal breakfast food including eggs, waffles, pancakes, French Nutella toast, sausage and bacon. They also had sushi, salmon, chicken, lamb, beef and many other dishes. They had a variety of different desserts to choose from including a chocolate and caramel fountain. The waiter who attended to our table was the sweetest. The place was very nicely decorated and clean. The chairs are very comfortable. I went back for breakfast two weeks later and the food was delicious. I was lucky enough to be attended by the same waiter who was very nice and sweet. Overall I will be going back to this place. It was a wonderful experience.

Blue Matisse has been on my radar now for a long while and I'm so glad that I decided to go with two others while in the Doral area for lunch. Upon immediately arriving, the service was already spectacular as we were ushered to our table and given a thorough explanation of what the lunch buffet offered that day. I went on a Tuesday which was "Tex-Mex" day but please do not be mistaken, the food was far from what most consider Tex-Mex! Their executive lunch buffet $21/pp is called "On the Fly" and offers a large variety of gourmet tapas/entrees of said cuisine. I cannot emphasize enough how fresh the salad bar, breads, and tapas were----plus it was all DELICIOUS! For the entrees there was a whole poached salmon with assorted fresh seafood atop, wonderful Mexican steak with potatoes, and a chicken fajita bar. The ceviche was also wonderful! Our server was absolutely incredible and even grabbed the whole lobster, bringing it to the chef to specially prepare for my boyfriend who hesitated in grabbing it since it looked so beautiful! So YES, we ate a whole lobster with an incredible garlic butter sauce AND gorged out at the gourmet buffet for $21 dollars each! This has most definitely become the only buffet in the South Florida area that I am a fan of and I can't wait to return on another day offering a different cuisine....like the Asian day in which I believe they serve duck! I recommend it highly to those that work in the area or those looking for a reliable place that will surely impress for a business meeting! IG: @KFitzEats

Meh for some reason I wasn't blown away. Service was great and a lot of effort went into the food, but the flavors just didn't wow me. Steak was good but lot of chewy fat. The asparagus was good and give a lot. The mash potatoes were good but don't give a lot. Just not interested in a $32 steak Incan get anywhere else. Grilled octopus was good but the skin slides right off and became chewy. They use a lot of oil and all the food seems fatty or greasy. Civiche was good but lacked a punch in the taste buds. They add sweet potatoes but not enough. It's like they give you the bare minimum for the max price.
