Went to Baru for Happy Hour and I swear that I felt robbed. The bartender that took care of us was great. Her name is Aura. Very friendly and constantly checking in. I ordered scotch which was fine. Then I ordered a sampler with 4 strips of steak, chicharrones, sausage with some other stuff and an oversupply of French fries. Not a large plate. Pretty much a sample platter. $40 dollars for the dish. Last time I paid that much for a dish was at the Rusty Pelican. These people take advantage thinking that because they are a night club they can stick their hands in your pocket. $40 dollars. I just don’t understand. I paid for the thing simply because I don’t like to get into it at restaurants.

Happy hour is good, half priced all drinks. However don't be fooled by the hot looking waitress they will not hesitate to add a couple of drinks more to your tab, if they see you tipsy enough. Happy hour crowd is getting thinner every friday. Wished there was other options in Doral for Happy hour.

Service was really pushy and pretty rude. On top of that, they lost my credit card and charged someone’s bill to my card by accident. They told me just to cancel my card. I did and left. Not going back.

The food could had been better. Not much of selection of food. This is a place to drink and socialize. Though, I admit the margarita suck. Didn't have a good measure of alcohol on it. Tasted more like lemonade. The music was good. The primary reason I give it three stars was because I had a great time. I would go back there again. Just needs a better selection of food and drinks.

Place is a RIP off. 20 dollar cover for a very mediocre experience. The baru bucks are a total scam and just a sleazy way to overcharge for subpar drinks. I asked for a titos n soda and got some nasty Vodka instead. This place is garbage, sorry not sorry.

I only speak English, so it was a little hard. But everyone kept smiling. I ordered fries, took 40 minutes. But, I think it was a surprise for them and it took time to heat the oil. No one told me that, I am just guessing. Later I observed other people that seemed to really enjoy the experience. So I believe that if I go more often they will be more comfortable with me.

No service, my waitress gave me one drink and I asked her to open up a tab and she never came back. Honestly the atmosphere was nice and it genuinely is a nice place and I hope my experience isn't typical. Overpriced absolutely, not even the food is worth your money and I'm coming from NYC where a beer can be $10 depending where you go. I paid $12 for chicken empanadas that had no chicken, and it took me almost an hr and a half to get 4 beers and 1 shot of whiskey and she poured the wrong thing but I caught it. I'm always fair with my reviews. No one rubbed me the wrong way, even the bouncers were nice and the cover was fair since they give you drink tickets. I honestly would've given this place 1 star if it wasnt for the atmosphere. I'm big on service and I wasnt helped. The bartenders were gorgeous along with the waitstaff but it would've been nice to get a drink alot easier. I raised my hand and I was looked at in the eyes and ignored...needless to say I'd recommend a bunch of other places before I let my friends or even strangers come here.

The atmosphere was terrible the food was pretty good but other than that I would not come back the music was extremely loud. You could not hear the person in front of you screaming in their ear.ive been to a couple clubs in my life but the music was not this ear splitting loud you can't talk to your date let alone a stranger

I couldn't enjoy the atmosphere and music because the bartenders kept trying to scam a few bucks from me at each round of drinks ( i was paying cash) and they wouldn't give me a receipt! Then i was getting different amounts of change each time i paid for the same drinks and then on the finals round they shorted me a lot and wouldn't give me a receipt! So i asked for the manager. When he got me the receipt he started with, "Baby..". I told him not to call me baby and the did the math with him and showed him my change (i was right). He then started with, "Baby..let me explain.." I told him to stop calling me baby and he smiled. Then i told him that non of the bartenders speak English and while I do speak Spanish fluently, i naturally revert to English when i have to explain something. He then looked at the security guard and said (in Spanish) "sorry i don't understand her" just to mess with me. So between the fighting for a receipt at every round of drinks, getting short changed at each Round plus the bartenders telling me what i owed without a receipt (which was more than i owed), the manager calling me "baby" and then everyone pretending they dont speak English + ALL THE MEN IN THE BAR WERE 40+YEARS OLD. Spend your money else where.

Stopped for a drink was slow. Ordered a Captain and coke since they did not have Ron Medellín. So first drink they charged me $14 and no receipt, then. Ordered a second one and they charged me $15 and again no receipt. I guess that make up the prices as you order. Buyer beware

Beware of security, after I exited the building, I politely asked the bouncer if I can go inside to use the restroom as I waited for my uber driver. There was nobody else outside besides my group so, it wasn't like I was trying to sneak in. And by the smirk on the guy's face it was clear to me that he was just having a power trip. I guess it's normal for people who don't complete high school and then are placed in that sort of position. Would not waist my money there again.
