I haven't eaten at all of the fried chicken restaurants in the world, but that doesn't keep me from saying this is among the best of them. Chicken is the fantastic, not only flavor but the cut too, and the people are very friendly.

First time drumsticks tiny and cooked so hard no meat to eat on them no compensation, tried them again the man took chicken fresh out the frying pan and put in my box never drained off grease plus the prices are to high I always want to support our people but some of them make it hard.

I meant to do this yesterday but I came there yesterday and had a marvelous experience. The service not to single out employees but the young man I believe name Jahlil he told me he was the assistant manager ; Was so well mannered and helpful for my first time being there that if I had my own store I would let him run the show too. Food was amazing I got a 3pc Dark with Cabbage and Mac & Cheese which was amazing . Chicken was fresh , Cabbage was nice and hot , Mac was cheesy and hot too. Environment was nice and clean with an excellent music selection. I give y’all an A+ from my experience and recommend to anybody else that Walt’s Chicken is the best !!!!

Walt’s is not only the best fried chicken spot in Delaware, it might be the best in the mid-Atlantic. The employees are wonderful, the prices reasonable, and the service is quick. What’s there not to love? The only quibble I have is that the small size of the sides is really small. Pay extra for the large size. Their chicken is exquisite. It’s like the Platonic ideal of fried chicken.
