Really love chicken and waffles, it's one of my favorite meals. Was so excited that my friend brought me here - everyone here is nice and the food is delicious. Want to go back and try the cobbler. Just a heads up, this isn't a place to sit in and eat, but don't let that stop you from coming by to get some food.

If you like fried chicken you absolutely have to try Walt's! It's so crispy and is always warm. We always get wings for big games and parties. The wings come with both pieces so if you order for example 5 for ~$7 you'll actually get 10 wing pieces that you normally think of.

The building is small but the flavor is huge! Walt's has awesome Southern fried chicken. They also have fried whiting. You can even order a fried turkey for Thanksgiving. The staff is friendly and efficient. The chicken, sides, desserts are all delicious. The prices are reasonable for the portion sizes. They do have a few tables and chairs outside.

I only had a chance to try the collard greens and fried chicken. We really enjoyed the collard greens. Fried chicken was a little to salty. We will visit again to try something else on the menu to have something to compare. We really want the food to be good.

I grew up on the original Mr. Walt's chicken until he passed away. This joint is under new ownership but its relatively good chicken when its cooked fresh and not reheated from the day before. The mac-n-cheese, and potato salad is good. The collard greens aint the best but they'll do.

I just got take-out from Walts. I parked on 2nd St to avoid the loop around, and I got heckled/ hustled/ approached twice. It's a shame I can't even walk 1/2 a block in this area of Wilmo because I'm a white guy. This is why Wilmington suffers. If you are white, don't go after 5. Otherwise food is great.

Miller Road Location- Third time I purchased their fries and they taste like they were cooked in the am and just sat under the hot light for hours. Done eating here! I went to your place on carpenters road and our fish and chicken were very hard. Fish with alot bones and no bread. Slimy chicken. Paid $19.35 for nothing. Never coming back. That's why I rate 1 star. You won't be seeing me ever.
