Overpriced small portions. Food was ok. Nothing special. Was hesitant at first because it was in a strip mall but tried it out because of high reviews. Didn't hate it but wouldn't go again. Should of went to McDonald's instead and ordered 2 fish sandwiches thrown the bun away and gotten the same meal for half the price

My daughter and I went to the reef last night and I have to say the food was terrible. She got a cheese burger, well done and the burger was not cooked all the way. The meat was red. I ordered some seafood and it had no taste. I don’t know who the chief is but ewwwwwe. I was so mad I had to pay for it

Had ribeye with broccoli & garlic mashed potatoes and side of griiled sea scallops. Fried Calamari appetizer. Good sized portions. Steak was cooked to order but bland / no discernable seasoning. Calamari was fair - good. Scallops were superb. Would definitely try again on a less busy evening. Reasonable prices, casual atmosphere. Waiter service 7/10.

Very disappointed in this restaurant. I really wanted to love it after reading the reviews, but it wasn’t at all what I expected. We had reservations for 5:15pm-half of our table’s food finally came out at 6:15, the rest at 6:25. We had one person order prime rib and another order ribeye-all other orders were just sandwiches, nothing fancy. Only one person actually enjoyed their food. The cheesesteak was extremely soggy and cold like it had been sitting out. The manager did come to our table at the end of our meal and offer dessert but we had to be somewhere by 7pm so could not stay. At most restaurants the manager would then offer to at least take a meal off the bill-nope, not here. And to make matters worse, gratuity was added into the bill already ($26 at that) since we had 6 people plus a baby. Our meal and experience were definitely not worth our total bill.

Looks like a cool bar scene with a bandstand for live music. Plenty of seating in bar area and separate restaurant seating area. Very good burger (1/2 priced on Mondays). Friend enjoyed prime rib.

I went to hear the Blind Date Band last night. The atmosphere was laid back and relaxing. The food was pretty good. I am not a drinker however everyone that ordered one seem to enjoy theirs. My only complaint, was at times the service was a little slow but she was nice just not that attentive. All in all this is a hidden gem in Delaware. I will go back.

Great staff, food, and music. Went to go check out Best Kept Soul. They were great! Had the crab cake sandwich and it was awesome. Also had some of my bf's chicken taco and that was great too! The staff were very nice and made sure we were good despite it being a packed house. Will definitely be back!

It was great Joe was my waiter he was amazing as usual . I had such a bad experience before with a woman that said she was Charlies wife who refuse to wait on me .Myself and my guest moved which was fine but it was more so her attitude the server that brought the food over to us had no personality and was more like Wednesday Addams this is something I've never experienced at this location I've been going here since my son played for Northerly Middle School my son has completed college at Temple University and now Invited for tryouts for the New York Giants that's how long I've been coming here this new change is hard Tim Colleen Steph Tiiff was the most amazing thing about that night I truly miss Kyle and if Charlie want things to persist with the Excellence that this place has been known for family and friends and good service he needs to leave his wife at home let her fold napkins and stay away from his customers.. I felt very discriminated against due her tone and facial gestures......Joe has been my reason for my return police officer and military and current Hospitality taskforce for companies such as Marriott .... Charlie teach your wife what I teach you treat the janitor with the same respect as the CEOgv.

You're in for a treat at this joint. The locals love it. Not what I expected but definitely awesome. We come in at 5pm Friday and the bar seating is almost full. We snap up a booth and order, by the end of our experience, the whole bar is packed and every table has a reservation tag on it. The service was great, couldn't be better. The food, this is the best part, unreal. The reviews do it justice. I got exactly what I expected after reading the reviews. Slammin, super dope wings. I'm a wing aficionado, these traditional hot wings, top notch. Precisely what I expect from a hot wing. The wings aren't huge and they aren't puny. Goldilocks, just right. Prime rib, broccoli, green beans - succulent. Crab stuffed shrimp, bacon wrapped scallops - perfection! I couldn't have enough about the food quality. It's like a pub vibe with a 50/50 menu. Half really well done pub eats, half mendenhal inn/Sullivan's. I will, by any means necessary, be back here to party hard on these great kitchen treats and delectable cocktails. Even if I have to run the 13 miles to get there. Go here, you'll love it!

We dined here on my husbands birthday for the first time bc of the live music & their crab cakes were highly recommended. Although he did not enjoy his meal other fam & friends did like their food. He had a nice time enjoying his special day by spending time together, opening gifts. The live band was not engaging and the atmosphere was distant.

Shrimp Chesapeake was blah... Chef needs to be introduced to Old Bay for sure... no seasoning at all on the shrimp. The pasta had more flavor than the shrimp or crab meat. Portion was huge though

Visited for the Tuesday night line dancing. Great food. Excellent service. Spacious dance floor. The place is newly renovated and expanded so there's plenty of seating. The menu has plenty to choose from. All in all highly recommended and we'll definitely be back.

Holly our server was absolutely on point with responsive, down to earth humble and over the top delightful service. I had the crabcake sandwich with a draft. The atmosphere couldn't have been more rewarding as I heard the appreciative appropriately timed claps to the unbelievable live jazz band. THE TROMBONE HAS MY HEART.

One Star is more then The Reef deserves. Extremely disappointed! Waited over 30 minutes to order our drinks, another 15 before we got them then another 15 before the server took our food order. We were there for over an hour before we had food in front of us. Even though our food was good we will never go back! We sat there watching 2 servers bust their butts and the 2 managers(?) stand at the service area and do NOTHING but talk to each other! Where was the busboy or food runner? Why weren't the managers helping the servers? We were there on 2/22 and left right after the band started playing, they were awful.

We loved it. It was our 3rd time here, and first time little late at evening so we got to enjoy live music DJ and dancing. It was an awesome experience. The food here is obviously yummy which took us here the third time. Also the staff is amazing, so friendly and experienced. The service is quick and the best. Not less than a pub or nightclub feeling here but with cozy touch. We felt so safe we were family with adult kids and the atmosphere was so much sober. I will suggest with small kids day time will be preferable as there is live music after evening which could be little loud for small kids. Perfect place for food and great vibes of dance and music.

This place is a nice hangout spot all to its own. My wife and I entered on a whim and got some really good steak and crab cakes. They also have an event calendar on one of their walls that shows all the cool things they have weekly and monthly. We got to witness a salsa dancing lesson.

This was the worst service I ever had. I made reservations when I got there they didn't have our Reservations somehow they gave our table away.The staff made a comment saying if you don't like our establishment you can go somewhere else. I went here to celebrate my mom's birthday and the turned out horrible. The food is overly priced for the quality. You order a steak for $20 and only get 1 side .or pay extra for another. The drinks were water down. We wanted to sit on the side with the band somehow they stuck us on the bar side where we couldn't hear anything. It was about 90 degrees in here, no AC, everyone was sweating. They added the gratuity in the check, if it was up to me he would not have gotten any tip. On top of that he added drinks that we did not get. I would not recommend this place to anyone.horrible. not an upscale restaurant for the prices

This place was just what my wife and I were looking for. We wanted tasty seafood but were not looking to spend 30 dollars a plate. Everything we ordered was really good and came with some amazing bread on the side. She also got a tasty cocktail that was well made. It was a little noisy but the place has a relaxed bar atmosphere that we enjoyed.

I visit for the first time last night. The band Best Kept Soul was great. However, it took 2 hours to get our food which came out cold. In addition, they forgot to cook one of the items ordered. The waitress was apologetic, and gave us a drink on the house in an effort to do damage control. The truth- If it wasn't for the band I would have left.

Good Cheesesteak. I think if having a drink is your first priority (and a good cheesesteak is second) then the the Reef is a good choice. The CS needed more meat and to have the cheese mixed in. But, the mushrooms and onions gave it a very good flavor. And, $9.50 including onion rings is a reason to love it!
