Used to love this place.. Until they tried to scam me and charge me for dinner when I was eating lunch only items ( mind you they were cold and mushy and barely even there) Everytime I was there id try and leave a 3-6 dollar tip. They did not care they lost me as a customer and all the people I bring it.. never again will I bring someone in there, I will tell them to avoid it.

Our table was not cleaned off the plates piled up and I had to move them to another table. Then my cup was empty and I had to go find somebody to get a refill she was talking to her coworker. The waitress was not friendly at all. I understand that we came an hour and a half before they closed but they should still give good service.

Plenty of options to choose from especially for sea food. Not very fan of chicken varieties in this place, too soggy in many dish. the grill is the best part on this place but this can be improved as well. The grill cooks are not in sync I guess; you get different sauces and how its cooked with different cooks. Consistency is missing. $2 dollars for the beer, you get 4 stars...

The Teppanyaki Grill is just kind of average in my opinion. Bigger isn't always better. Every time we go there it's a long wait. And it just seems like it's always chaos when we go. As far as food goes, their sushi tends to be too warm for my liking. The Mongolian BBQ often tastes not quite right because the chicken comes out hard (or hard to chew). And grill chef is never friendly, even though I always leave a tip for him. I like the ice cream bar, but seems like there are always kids at it making it messy so often I don't even get any ice cream due to the mess. Rest of their food is just kinda "eh," not great just ok.

Most disrespectful people ever! The lady who sat me and my family down decided that it was ok to roll her eyes at me the entire time I was talking to her and was saying rude comments towards me. She judged me for what I look like because I gave her a paper that states that I have had surgery and can only eat a small amount. Then when we went to pay she was so happy and smiling towards my cousin when she went to pay and then when I went to hand her my card she wouldn't look at me or even speak to me. Her smile completely vanishef when it came time for me to pay. Also, this was not the first time they were disrespectful towards me. I thought maybe because the lady who had done it before wasn't seating us she would be kind, but I was wrong. The first lady who judged me was very disrespectful as well. She had 3 servers come up to me and ask if what was on my plate was all I was going to eat. I gave them two chances, but each time they were very rude towards me so this buffet will not be getting my service again! No hospitality what so ever!

I went here today and I was with family , not even 5 mins in this lady was trying to kick us out , she was counting all of us and asking who is with who and we ain’t even get our first plate yet , then she started handing out our receipts , then 15 mins in they started putting out food that we couldn’t eat and they was like “ it’s for dinner , u can’t touch it cuz u came for lunch “ and when we asked why we can’t they looked at us and screamed that we couldn’t touch it and when we asked of refills they took forever to get it . And when we asked for things to go they looked at us all crazy my family is fully black and every time they talked to us they looked at us like we was going to steal from them or something they need to change I will no longer be coming back that was my first and my last time I will ever go there

STAY AWAY. Just the atmosphere in the parking lot was frightening trying to get into the restaurant from all the burnout teenager standing in front of the doors a man from a store a few doors down running through the parking lot after a shoplifter and two security guards. Get inside the restaurant and it is one of the most vile disgusting looking food ever and this is for overweight who want a lot of food for s amount of money ,15.00. For I really thought it was a frightening area very dirty very dirty and it would not take my kids here.

WORST PLACE that I ever went to, The Cooks are RUDE and RACIST, the staff is RUDE and don’t want to help the Customers, during busy hours the customers are OUT OF CONTROL they are all over the place and mostly it’s because the staff DO NOT WANT TO HELP!!! The place has an ok variety of food, but can be too salty at times and the servers are the worst in the state of Minnesota. Too many of them do not care about costumer service but want big tips. I tipped $10 and the lady said she wanted $50. What? I only paid $30 for my fiance and I, does she really expect a 150 percent tip. I though it was very rude and it ruined my meal. Although the food was decent I will most likely not go back again just because of the bad customer service. 1 drink throughout the whole meal, extremely greedy with their drinks. Their food is not that good! Improve your experience and try great moon in west saint Paul the foods better and customer service is

Large variety of seafood, sushi, American, and hibachi. Overall they try and keep the buffet clean but the way they have the ice cream setup seems less then sanitary as kids bend into the bin to reach the ice cream.

The food here is great and they have a H U G E variety of it! Always seems to be fresh and hot. The reason for only 3 stars is because the wait staff. They are very rude. I watched the server say to the table next to us that he had to give her a tip. What?!?!? No, he doesn't! I completely understand that there are some cultural differences but that's just tacky! I also heard similar talk while at the other location. I really think they need to understand that their job performance dictates what they're going to get for a tip and if they get nothing then they need to step up their game and try harder to be more friendly and more helpful. Receiving a warm welcome from them will also help tremendously! But commenting on no tip from a customer is a really big no-no.

Hate this place Should be shut down. People dont lie about all those horrible reviews. Used to be good but then it just goes down hill. This is the worse buffet i have been to - and i go to horrible buffets all the time. Found bugs on the floor. Staff sucks. When I ask for fresh french fries they add tons of cooking oil to old french fries and call them fresh. Do you think i am an idiot?They never accept coupons from phone. Need to be printed. The food is the usual spread for a buffet. Everything tasted really good. The hibachi took a long time to grill the food, but once it was made, it tasted amazing. Be sure to finish most of the food in your plate because they have a sign that says you could be charged for wasted food (Im glad they do this because I think this is a good practice to discourage people from getting more than they can eat). Overall, a really good experience

Wife and I drove in from western Minnesota just to try this place. Service was excellent, food was hit and very tasty. Sushi was fabulous. I would rather have snow crab over the ones that are being offered. I think there would be a while lot less waste. We will be back and we will reccomend to our family and friends.

Rude waitress that used profane language at us immediately after asking us what we wanted to drink. Not a great first impression of the restaurant. Stood in line at the Teppanyaki station for 45mins waiting for our selections to be cooked only for the food to be burnt. After sitting down with burnt food we see a sign on the napkin holder that reads ”15% charge for wasted food” which is understandable except that you pay prior to getting your food. It will be interesting to to see if we're charged the 15% due to not eating much of the burnt Teppanyaki grill food.

Delicious food and lovely service!!! It was very affordable to purchase a takeout container and bring home the crab and sushi we didn’t want to waste as well. The sushi is also the best buffet sushi I’ve ever had and the crayfish(which I usually don’t like) are delicious!!!!

All you can eat with both really healthy and some not as healthy options. Dinner for 2 for under $30. A good place to go when you can't decide what you're in the mood for. Also a good place to take the kids. Be sure to take advantage of the grill in the back.

When they say supreme buffet, they're not joking. Very good food, highly recommended. I gave it a 4 because they need to add more washrooms especially for that many customers they get. It was so crowded that the wait time was too long

While getting a plate of food I got a bad steam burn on my finger. I went to three different employees and finally one of them turned the tray around that the steam was escaping from. Nobody even went to get the manager until my daughter told them somebody better get a manager over to our table while I was soaking my finger in my ice water . The manager on duty gave me a Band-Aid and some burn cream, never apologized and didn't even comp my food.

It was an awesome awesome awesome outing I tell you I took and build my plate with plank steak beef broccoli scallions onions bell peppers jalapeno and Chinese noodles and the grillman added his Special Touch with the fresh garlic Cajun seasoned salt and pepper and he said some of his special ingredients and it was to die for now my dessert was fresh fruit I had some melon cantaloupe and oranges which was very delicious but I tell you this is a great restaurant buffet for the whole family thank you so much for serving us as you have in the past years great restaurant if I had to put it on a scale of 1 to 10 rectum scale there is no number it bust through the rectum scale

This place has really gone down hill in there terms of customer service. Servers expect a sizable tip for refilling and delivering drinks although we only got one refill for a table of 6. I'll be back for the food but will be for stern about how I like my service prior to letting my server sit me.

This was our first time dining at this buffet the Food was amazing very well seasoned the buffalo chiken was the best i have ever had at a buffet the water is purified not sink water like other buffets the ice cream treats are individually packaged which is great the sushi is AMAZING & the service is wonderful we had a bit of a mishap when the waitress brought us the wrong receipt but it was quickly taken care of the price was very reasonable at $34 for two adults and two children. We will definitely be visiting again

After going often.... and normally never having any problem. We went tonight and my youngest was feel to good. He didn't want to eat( I only grab him 1 plain chicken wing and 3 squares of jello) . He only drank his drink. I asked if he could get a discount... they straight said NO. $8.99 for small soda, a wing ,and 3 squares of jello. Went on a Sunday at 3:30 pm fathers day. It was super busy and was able to get seated right away though for the four of us. Dinner is 14.99 and Lunch is 10.99. I read many reviews regarding servers harassing for tip. I did experience this, however I did tip and left between Sriracha bottle and Napkins. She did not see this and proceeded to hand me the tip tray as I was leaving and asked why I not tip and had an upsetting look on her face. I couldn't understand her English I thought she asked me why I didn't want the fortune cookies because they were on the tip tray. I said no I don't like cookies and then realize she was asking why am I not tipping. I then pointed to the money by the napkins and she was embarrassed. I can see how customers would be bothered by this. I was tad annoyed, but I get it. I will come back because the food is good.

Average buffet with nothing special. Sushi selection is poor and what I did try was tasteless. Many of the rolls taste the same. Ice cream selections limited to prepackaged cups and Popsicles. Lunch was only $8 but I would choose another location and pay more for better food. Try the buffet in People's Plaza a few miles west or the Hibachi Grille Buffet on Kirkwood Hwy.

My fathers memorial services at the veterans cemetery were today and all the family got together for lunch here, and after we received our drinks, we talked a few minutes waiting on everyone to get there and we watched a ROACH crawl up the wall... 2nd time there. Food was good but service was a-bit disappointing. Because my kids looked young, although they’re in their 20s. They told me that the waiter forced them in a way to TIP and made them feel bad. They always tip, and genuinely do care about waiters because they are waiters themselves at Apple Bees. I’m just disappointed to hear that from my kids. And yes, my kids did tip afterwards, even after being forced and mistreated. Service needs to be fixed.

The food was okay, the service was TRASH. The Fridley location is so much better. All tables in the area that I was sitting at had used plates STACKED on top of each other. A few staff members came by, and just walked around. To me it seems like they do this on purpose. The atmosphere in the buffet wasn't as welcoming as the Fridley location either. It sucks that the Minneapolis location doesn't live up to the Fridley location. I really hate it when I'm out having dinner (anywhere) and I run out of water or whatever I'm drinking. My party and I had to keep on asking for drinks..

This is my 2nd favorite Chinese restaurant. I have yet to find a place that beats the hibachi grill and supreme buffet in spring lake park. The only thing I like better at this place is crab legs and the chocolate fountain. Other than that they didn’t have as much variety and the food was placed in strange spots, it took me 5 minutes to find all the different kinds of rices because they weren’t in the same spot... it is expensive but I would come back again mainly for the crab legs and chocolate fountain. It was sort of dirty on the floors and the employees seemed sort of rude

The food is alright, but why would a server demand for a tip. When they did not serve my food for me. They got my drink and took my empty plate away like every other buffet. A tip is given if I want to give a tip, why should a server demand for my tip. It’s my choice to give it or not. Its dumbbbbb when she asked for a tip and I said no how tf she gonna ask “why”. I always give tip when people serve me my food like restaurants but this place is a buffet though. I’m just disappointed because it was my first time here and how they gonna demand for a tip!!! Never coming here again. Obviously I didn’t want to make a big scene about it so I just gave her a tip! Still this is not right, the server should properly be retrained again.

Very wide sitting area, so lots of space. The food options were not many that day. It was a Saturday around 1 pm and a lot of empty food trays. The server was nice and friendly, a mini comedian, more flavorful than the food. There was an argument of some sort when we were there. Very unsightly. So paid a lot of money for a party of 4 for an unappetizing and un-filling meal. 3 stars only because our server was exceptional!

Lowered review to 1 star. If your employees depend on tips to survive, it's the surest sign that you are a horrible employer taking advantage of your employees by paying dirt wages. You're a buffet, not Applebee's. You shouldn't have employees that depend on tips, as it is not customary to tip at a buffett. That should have been abundantly obvious, as your employees have to beg the customers to tip them because they wouldn't otherwise.

If you have a disability of any sort stay as far away as possible from this establishment. The food was good, however the manager-on-duty - Nancy -was absolutely terrible to both my wife and I. My wife has a medical alert dog that has to be with her 24x7 (we have been here before with the MA Dog) and upon entering the building we were accosted by the manager who tried to make us feel we were unwelcome in the establishment. Throughout the entire meal, the manager was watching (spying on) us from what she thought was a surreptitious area and following both myself and my wife around the restaurant like we were criminals. She continued this throughout our entire meal.

They also have an option of getting food to go, and your price is based off of the total weight of your food. Huge selection of food! I have been coming to this location for years now, and have never known them to be closed on a holiday. Fairly priced buffet, with a little sushi bar, and Mongolian style grill in the back. The restaurant is usually kept pretty clean. I've had some questionable servers over the years, but who hasn't. There is good reason this buffet keeps me coming back.

I really like this place they have a huge variety of foods to pick from, and good hibachi. I am also glad that they have gotten better with pestering with tips cause it used to be extremely annoying how they would ask for tips all over the place. Even asking for them on the napkin dispenser on the table. They also raised the price however I usually go for lunch so it’s not that bad. Sometimes the food is not as hot as is could be but if you mention it to them they usually are helpful...they also have space for larger parties so you can definitely bring the whole family, and if your bringing a really large party just call and give them a heads up! Also know if you go during a busy time your going to have to wait.

Their price is very reasonable and the fact that they were the only place open during Christmas (December 25, 2017) in that area was a big thumbs up. They answered my call very fast when I inquired if they were open that time (lunch). The staff was able to give us a table rightaway and they were always ready to remove used plates on our table and refill our drinks. However, there was a little struggle when I asked one lady who was refilling the food what the food was called and made of. I'm also asian but I'm not really well versed with other Asian food, and she was having a hard time explaining it to me. Nevertheless, I was satisfied with their service. They have a decent selection of food except for desserts (it's a little bit few for me), but it tasted good. Their crabs was very meaty and I just really love eat all you can buffet! The ambience is nice and spacious. They also provided a child seat rightaway upon my request. Overall, I would definitely consider going back to this place if I pass by that area again.

It's ok at if you don't have time to spare. The food is good, but it's barely warm. You can get a custom stir fry which is probably one of the better things to get. I just don't like dried out or like warm food. I'm afraid things sit around to long there.

From the Mongolian grill, sushi bar, Chinese buffet, salad bar to the American comfort food buffet, ingredients and offerings were fresh, temperature correct, ample selections and expeditious service. Pricing is very reasonable and affordable as evidenced by the large number of diners with children. Very clean restaurant, utensils and plates. Restrooms were exceptionally clean. Cash, checks, credit and debit cards accepted. Ample parking lot spaces available.

Used to come here quite often and hadnt visited in a while. When here this last time it was dinner time so usually the food is fresh and constantly flowing. I was a bit disappointed with the food quality and feel as though their effort is declining. I also found some sort of small grub/mealworm fried up in my chicken and broccoli. Im not one to nit pick and realize sometimes a stray hair or little insect can fly in and is natural error. This on top of the general decline in food quality made for a less then satisfactory experience.

Even with all the bad reviews I've eaten here numerous time and never found a bug, never been sick from the food, never found anything in the food that shouldn't be, my drinks always refilled promptly, and food always tasty. I'll continue to go here because it's good and it's a decent Chinese buffet. If you want mikimotos Or sushi sumo, then go there. This is cheap and tasty Chinese food. Bottom line.

When it came time for the check, we were shocked at how reasonable the price was to feed our family of 4. It was our first time, and we will definitely be going back. Customer service was very poor. The employees all look very sad and unhappy to be at work. There was no pleasant greetings at all. When I stepped to the counter the cashier just gave me a cold stare until I told him my party size. Then after I told him my children's ages he asked each of them their ages individually as if I lied about their ages. After confirmation they were the ages I'd already gave him he rung us up and asked for the payment. I reached him my money, which he snatched from my hand. That was the last straw for me.

I hate leaving one star because this used to be my favorite place. I tipped up front and after eating when we went to leave the waitress stopped us and said you didnt tip. I said I left cash tip upfront and she said it's not included. So I go upfront and asked do you not give the tips to the waitress. The lady upfront said oh I did not know who left the cash here. So now i am convinced they arent giving the tips to the wait staff. I wont be back. Sadly.

I sometimes go to this restaurant and the waitress/waiters are nice but the head women manager is rude and lack any customer service skills to be in leadership. The food is a hit and miss. Some days great and others disappointing. For those who got sick before that restaurant came around it use to be a Pet-Kare (Pet & Food Supply) store. I’m just sayin’ and eat at your own risk.

So... I'm highly disappointed. The food was not that good. It was busy, which was to be expected since their food is supposed to be awesome. But there were kids literally everywhere coughing on stuff, no parents in sight. Everything was a disaster. And to top it off the people cleaning your table literally stand there and wait for you to leave so they can CONFRONT YOU ABOUT LEAVING A TIP. Like.... how dare you ask for a tip. A TIP is earned not mandatory. I'm all about leaving a tip for someone who deserves it. And I felt extremely uncomfortable. As I was going back up to the tables the guy started tapping on the table saying "no tip? No tip? Tap tap tap... "no tip?" Like NO TIP.. who do you think you are? I will not go back here.

Teppanyaki grill is an ok Asian buffet with many options which is great. Service was good and the bus boy was right on getting our plates removed. Only thing is that some of the items taste like they’ve been left out for too long. The sweet and sour chicken was dry, desserts are alright I wish the ice cream was out of a machine and not scoop yourself cause that’s a lot of people touching it. I had a good time just don’t think I’ll drive out from Burnsville to come eat here. Edit: so I wrote this review when I was finished with dessert but had to add that the waiter got mad at us for not leaving a tip and verbally told us so.. what BS he didn't even fill our drinks the whole time when they were all empty.. Was going to give 3 stars but 2 sounds better now.

I think they trained their busboys to throw dishes very noisily. So, if you see near the soda machines, you'll get a great headache. Other than that, this place has a lot of foods. Their crawfish and crabs are awesome. Their hibachi grill team is great, they work very hard and are super friendly and are great jokers. Most customers here don't tip well at all, and that's a shame. My wife & I always tip them $10 or more. We see tables with 5-6 people leaving less than $5 tip. They shouldn't go out to eat, if they can't tip. Waitresses really live on tips because they get pay only $3-$4 an hour.

We were visiting from out of state and decided to go here for a late lunch and had a group of 11. I was a bit hesitant and had my guard up because I read the reviews about the tipping. We didn't have a problem with the servers asking to tip more. We were courteous and always tipped well. It was a nice meal and we were all impressed with the food choices. This is maybe the most mediocre buffet I’ve ever gone to. The traditional Chinese fare was fine—general tso’s, broccoli beef, etc. But I was pretty dismayed to crack open three crab legs and find spoiled grey meat inside, and everything else I tried was just so-so.

I was beyond excited to try this place out after reading many reviews! We finally had the opportunity to try it out last week since we had vacation and family from Texas visiting. The food selection was amazing everything tasted wonderful... However, the whole time we were trying to enjoy our food and spend the short amount of time with our visitors we couldn't eat comfortably because one of the waiters kept staring at us, she stood in the corner right by our table for the majority of the time. (Very slim lady) ...our waitress seemed as if she was rushing us to get out (shorter young lady with glasses) before we were about to take off I told my husband I would give the tip directly to the waitress (I have always done this to make sure that the money falls in the correct persons hands.) I went to the restroom to wash my hands when I came out I did not see my husband when I finally saw him his face was completly filled with embarassment ... as they were getting up the slim lady that stared at us the whole time ran to our table and screamed "NO TIP" and our waitress ran to my husband and began yelling in his face. They did get a tip even with how disrespectful they were... not because we had to but because tipping has always been in our books no matter where we go... and even then after receving the tip they laughed. With that being said heres my last tip for you guys...train your employees to have respect I work hard also so when I do have the opportunity to have that once a year short time with family I bearly see the last thing we should have to put up with is people acting like complete disrespectful jerks. Good luck to anyone else who goes there....the foods amazing but the customer service is terrible. With a few.

This place is pretty good. Both lunch and dinner prices are reasonable. The staff is nice, though sometimes they seem to rush you a little bit. Dessert bar is okay, but not great. I've enjoyed all of their food that I've had, but they don't serve crab legs so that is a bummer. Overall, it's not a bad experience for some good Chinese food.

This place is awful. It's sad too, because we really like one of the cooks who remembers us and always says hi. Food is never hot, usually hours old or leftover from lunch. Lukewarm food like this is how people get sick. This Last visit We had enough. They were still seating people but over half the buffet was missing food and they were closing down the made to order grill. I asked if they were going to replace the empty dishes and they said sorry they were closing, just then, a family came in asking if they were still seating and they said yes. If you try to use a coupon it's a hassle, and they don't take the % off the drinks/sodas, just the food. Never again.

terrible service, terrible management. tried to talk to one manager about our experience there and she could not have cared less about resolving anything. i asked to speak to the owner and they said she was on vacation. when i told another manager about the service he said “yeah yeah i know sorry.” are you kidding me? we have been loyal customers for years, but i am officially done with this place!!! what a joke. they mixed in shrimp into my mother’s food at the hibachi and she is allergic. informed the manager and she said “well you are spanish, go speak spanish to him and tell him not to do it again.”

It is a fair buffet for the price. Mostly standard Chinese fare. There is well appointed grill for made to order. The sushi offering is unimaginative. Decent clean Chinese buffet. Hit or Miss which items will be fresh and which ones will have been sitting there. When fresh most items are tasty. The sushi selection is very poor, most of them them using artificial crab meat, not much variety. The grill is the real reason for going. Decent selection for the make your own stir fry.

Sadly, this buffet is neither clean nor serving tasty, well-prepared Chinese foods (compared with others in the area). Undone veggies, too much salt, disappointing selection of recipes. Yucccch!!!!

Absolutely horrible, half the food was cold. Then later that evening everyone was sick. Would absolutely never go there again. Would recommend the Healrh Dept inspect them as it was strange that we Ll got sick after eating there. They will also say something if your tip isn't high enough. Not to mention over $7 for a 3 year old is crazy.

It’s 5:31 pm they are empty and should be getting ready for a dinner rush. The food is old and hard. Even the garlic bread is hard like I took the tong and tapped the bread.. smh.. hard as a rock, the pizza taste first bitten.. the whole set up of the buffet was very unpleasant.. the people on here who said it was good definitely were either drunk or lying.. none of the food was appeasing... like I just paid 11 something for a salad at a buffet.. never again

When I tell you this is the Buffett for a king that's speaking litely. The variety of delicious foods will have you not wanting to leave the place. The hospitality is great by the waiter staff also.
