Food was great, as always, but we will never go back. Experience was horrible. While I was in the restroom and my daughter was finishing her coffee....a staff member announced that those in line would have to wait because some were being uncoopertive. She looked right at our table as she said it. Real shame, common courtesy would be to ask us to finish up ...as others were waiting.

Great family place to go. The ice cream was amazing..and the next morning the breakfast tasted like it was out of my mother's kitchen it was so good. It has a nice, quiet, family friendly atmosphere and reasonably priced! They also have a nice menu selection. I would love to return and would definitely recommend!

The worst service ever. Waitress acted as if we were bothering her. It took forever for us to even place our order. She delievered food with an attitude and then we never saw her again. Thanks to other staff we were able to get items we asked for in our order and more coffee. Never again!

Great breakfast 8:00 am -11:30 am. Best value for the money and it all tastes so good. I recommend the Italian bread for the toast or french toast. It is so worth the extra cents! Old Fashion Ice Cream Parlor 1:00 pm - 11:00 pm. Don't get the ice cream to go, they use the old style glass containers. If you get caramel or chocolate on the ice cream they coat the inside of the glass dish put the big scoops in the dish then put a big heaping covering of the caramel or chocolate on top! The banana split is to die for!

First time at the Royal Treat...the food portions are extremely generous, enough to share amongst two people. The prices are very reasonable. They only accept cash, so for those who only use their debit card (as I do) so bring enough cash. Overall, convenient location, good food with good portions. The reason for the 4 out of 5 stars brings me to the service; all the servers were very pleasant albeit one waitress (who is on her 21st Summer of service) was unpleasant and seemed consistently annoyed...maybe she was having a bad day but then again this is a customer driven business so appropriateness is appreciated.

I love this little place. The menu is small and simple, but when you're sitting within half a block of the boardwalk & beach, how fancy do you need? If you come more than one day on your visit, you'll be remembered and greeted like you've been coming for years. There aren't many places left like Royal Treat, so enjoy this one... it's coming up on its 35th anniversary.

I am totally shocked that no one rated this place below a 4. This place is AWFUL! We came here for breakfast and when I sat down I knew it would be bad. This menu is so limited and i couldn't find anything to my liking. When my pancakes came I was very unhappy. It was like a flavorless sponge. The hash browns were flavorless to. The eggs were nasty. The worst part was that is was so expensive. How can they charge so much for this mess of a breakfast? And they wouldn't even except credit card. They made us go all the way around the block to an ATM to pay them. We left feeling sick and one of my family members had stomach problems after eating here. They should really just change the name to Royal Dumpster. I recommend staying away from this place. If you want a real breakfast, go to Sammy's Kitchen by the Brighton Suites Hotel. It isn't right off the boardwalk but the walk is worth it. Royal Treat is by far the worst breakfast I've had in my lifetime.

Best pancakes in the world. We’ve been eating at this restaurant for 30 years and we always get the pancakes for breakfast. They are consistently perfection. It’s a must try if you’ve never had them.

This place is great! Went for both brunch and for icecream later! Their breakfast is reasonably priced for the area and very good! They do tend to be pretty packed, so avoid peak times if possible. Also, they are cash only, so be prepared for that. The icecream was delightful! They do old-timey icecream parlor type stuff, but you can also get stuff to go. Highly recommend! Great local business!

ROYAL TREAT IS A TREAT! The facility may be small and always crowded, but although there's a long line that stretches down the sidewalk, it's certainly well worth the wait! The ice cream makes up for it most definitely! Wide selection, great taste, nice porch seating, and plenty of water to wash down some good ice cream! THE BEST ICE CREAM IN REHOBOTH BEACH! It would be a SIN for you NOT to visit this place when you're in Rehoboth Beach!
