This is a small, tucked away place that has wonderful food. I ordered the Crispy Shrimp and they were huge, cooked perfectly, and the red sauce and veggies were great. Spicy, but not so much you couldn't taste each part of the dish. A little bit pricier than your standard strip mall Chinese place, but well worth it in my opinion.

So disappointed with the service I received tonight ordered 10 rolls called because they didn't give me the soup and salad I asked for and they shorted me a roll and after driving back they refused to make my order right a 10 dollar roll is a small price to pay to find out the crappy service your restaurant produces enjoy I'll take my business else where

My husband loves the sushi and I thoroughly enjoyed the pork chow main. The star of the lunch was the egg roll. I ordered my husband his own because I didn’t want to share a bite with him. Literally the best egg rolls we have ever eaten. Lunch prices were great. The service was impressive. The waiter checked in just the right number of times and when I turned to find the restroom, another employee immediately directed me there. The employees work to serve and please customers. Overall, excellent experience.

We Go There Quite A Bit. We Love it. My Husband And Granddaughter, When She Goes Along with us, Get Sushi. Her Sister Came Along Tonight, She Enjoys Sushi, I Think She Got The Tuna Rolls, And Chicken Terriaki Which is Of Course Cooked. I On The Other Hand Do not Eat Sushi or Sushimi, So I Enjoy That they Offer A Variety, I Got Shrimp Terriaki And Of Course Always The California Rolls. There is Nothing Raw in Them. Although I Have Never Tried Sushi Or Sushimi , I Just Always Get The Cooked Food On The Menu, Just Set in My Ways I Guess. The Sushi And Sushimi Maker GaveUs A Free Entree Of Different Fish Cut Up in Small Peices. They Also Enjoyed that, Which Was Very Kind of Him To Do So. My Recommendation is o Try it. It is On Rt 8 In Dover in Shopping Center. I Am Sure if You Look Up Directions For Rice Restaurant in Dover it Will Come Up. Cannot At This Time For Some Reason Think Of Name of Shopping Center. It Also Has A Redners And Giacomo's Italian Restaurant in Same Shopping Center, Which We Also Enjoy.

We absolutely love the food here.I lived in Japan several years back.Moving back to the US it was very difficult to find authentic food.However this resturaint surpassed my ecpectations.I have eaten here on several different occassions.The seating is VERY limited but they also do takeout!

I have been going to Rice for almost a year. Their sushi is over the top. It's not just the normal; "here's a dragon roll", but they do have the regular sushi you'll see at other sushi shops too. I recommend the "fortune island," or the "Funky Monkey," and you'll understand what I mean. They also have great Asian dishes. You'll like what you see.

We have been here twice. The first time it took 10 minutes for anyone to come over initially. Meanwhile, there was only one other table in the whole restaurant with 8 staff standing around. The second time, we left after 10 minutes...same people standing around. The other Rice in Wilmington is so much better...great versions of the same dishes, superior service, etc. I'm surprised that this location is able to stay open with the poor service and the emptiness

We used to go to this place because we loved the food. But when we came back one day there were three of us, we immediately noticed that the place was pack so we decided to sit down right in the front to wait.. We waited for about 15mins. Nobody said anything to us not even a simple hi. Until, there were another group of three people who just came but for some reason, they helped them first and did not even acknowledge that we got there first.

Customer service was subpar, sat in and did not tip based on the level of service I received. The male waiter asked everyone around me if they needed anything and how they were doing but skipped over my table. I do not know if it was a racial thing, but me and my guest are minorities. As we were leaving the waiter stops me and asks why I did not leave a tip, I explained to him that he never approached my table again after we were sat, and assisted everyone else. He tried to extort me for a tip when he did not do his job. When I refused and stated that I was not legally obligated to tip him and I didn’t not appreciate his service he became irate, throwing the check book up in the air, and I state exactly as he said; “don’t come back here.” I have never received a poor level of service this low until I ate at this place. I will never dine here again. If I could rate less than one star I would.

Very good customer service. The servers were respectful and On their toes. Attentive workers. The food came out looking delicious. Could of cleaned around the plate. Looked like they poured it off the plate back in the pot. They served us can sodas with ice cups. That we didn’t like. Was a lil on the warm side. I like my food hot. Also no kids menu. I have three so it would of been more pleasing with crayons and pages and maybe a kids menu. They also sold no type of juice being as though my kids dont drink soda. They had to have water. I wish they had fountain drinks on tap. But overall the food was a good. Beef and chicken was tasty had a lil dry taste. The gravy was different for that recipe but simple. Dimmed lighting set the mood. But not for kids. The food is a little overpriced. But overall my wife loved it. It was ok for me and the kids say thumbs down!

I was initially wary about eating here as most places that offer two types of food (in this case Chinese and Japanese) typically prepare one well and the other not so much. I have been pleased to find that everything I have ordered from either menu has been delicious. Prices are good. The only drawback is that the dining area is small and cramped, so we usually get it to go.

It's tiny. They're always packed. The food is delicious but overpriced. The staff's service significantly declines halfway through their very tiny max capacity. Try the new place down and around the corner from this place. There's PLENTY of space and the staff was almost too friendly, making me curiously suspicious. I was just not used to the positivity and niceness that service in the USA (in general) blatantly lacks. They even offered me a hot towel off a silver platter. In Bumfck, Delaware?! Unheard of!

My brother likes the food here so while we were nearby, I thought we could sit down and enjoy a meal. It was around 2pm so the lunch crowd had gone and there were 6 customers seated.I ordered the Wonton Soup (good but a little salty) and the General Tso's Chicken (good). He ordered Scallops and broccoli that was very good from my taste test!The menu was more extensive than I anticipated. I was surprised that my husband did not order some sushi which he enjoys. The service was efficient with consistent checks if we needed anything!

I've been wanting to try this restaurant and when I finally did, it turned out to be such a big disappointment and here's why: I ordered a Happy Family which came with half of lobster tail, chicken, beef, mixed vegetables and white rice. Sounds like a good meal right? Well, the lobster was SPOILED. When I brought it to the server's attention, he just took the plate without saying anything. Then he came back with the bill and informed me, $3.00 was deducted because of the spoiled lobster and he stood there as if he was waiting for me to say "thank you for the discount". I headed to the register and paid my due without leaving a tip because why should I? I was just served with a meal that had a spoiled lobster tail in it. I proceeded to walk out the door and a few seconds later, the server comes out and calls for my attention and says "you're not leaving any tip?" as he pointed at the bill. So, I shook my head at the same time I replied "no". Oh, that server gave me a look of disgust and muttered "okay, okay...". Wow, I've never experienced something like that. I place that expected a tip even after messing up my food. Here's the kicker, they have a certificate of some sort of award because of their awesome food. People, I DON'T KNOW HOW THEY COULD'VE POSSIBLY GOTTEN THAT AWARD. DON'T EAT THERE. You might get food poisoning. Apparently they don't check their items that they put in their recipes.

I recently visited this establishment with my wife upon her return from a yr deployment in Afghanistan. It's difficult to find a pleasant atmosphere and actually get good service in the same location. Rice did it for me... instantly. Staff was friendly, food was good, location (on the other hand) was odd, but easily accessible. If they expanded and put another location in a more "respectable" location, I would give it 6 stars.

First and last time we will be here! $70 for a meal for 3 of us. Food was bad...really bad...sushi was slimy. Fried rice was burnt. Yet the vegetables were raw. When we said something the waiter simply laughed. It’s bad when you spend $70 on a meal then have to go straight to Hardee’s to get something because your starving.

Don't hesitate to try Rice. They have excellent Japanese and Chinese food menus. We've been to Rice many times and the food is consistently good. I usually have the sushi lunch but last time I was a little disappointed in the taste of the salmon so today I decided to try the bento box. After a cup of delicious miso soup I was presented with a bento box that contained salad, half of a California roll, white rice, 3 Shumai, & my shrimp teriyaki mixed with some vegetables. Everything was fresh and excellent. I'm not a big fan of their Ginger. It's white pickled ginger and to me it has a slight aftertaste. I prefer the pink which doesn't usually leave me with that taste. The wait staff are attentive and friendly. If I could give them four and a half Stars I would but my options are four stars and five stars so I give them four.

Online states that they are open until ten. We got there at 9:20 and they said they were closed at 9:30 and that we couldn’t sit down. So definitely need to update their site as well as the inside needs major updating and a good cleaning and more professional staff.

Sushi was great , ate here for lunch a couple of days ago advised waiter of my son's food allergy...no problem... ordered to go... Advised restaurant my son was allergic to shrimp and crab asked to have his spicy tuna sushi placed in a separate container they didn't, left out the spicy salmon, from the maki combo, when I called and advised them the manager asked, rudely, asked what can he do and told me to file a police report, and after I get the bill from the insurance company bring it to him and his manager will settle this, wouldn't give me the name of the owner and rudely hung up on me, after I spent $72.65 at the restaurant...food was good but won't risk another episode of allergic reaction, and having to sit in the ER for 2-3 hours... WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN ... NOT VERY CUSTOMER FRIENDLY

(Examples include: soups, salads, appetizers, fried rice, lo mein, chow mein, seafood, pepper steak, General Tso's chicken, sweet & sour pork, beef, etc.) They do not use canned vegetables, MSG or preservatives. Vegetarian options available. Everything is prepared fresh and you can even watch your sushi being prepared at the Sushi Bar. Lunch specials & combinations are available from Mon.-Sat. 11a.m. - 3p.m. CUSTOMER SERVICE: I've never experienced even the slightest bit of disappointment at this restaurant. The staff work well paced and efficient while providing a friendly and helpful atmosphere. WAIT TIME: My orders have always been approximately 10 - 20 minutes turn around from the time of placing to receiving (depending on amount ordered) for both dining in and takeout. DINE-IN / TAKEOUT: They have a small dining area inside that is kid friendly. I've never had to wait for a table but have seen it packed on a weekend while picking up a takeout order.
