Definitely an authentic South Indian food! Serving variety of menu items like Kara Paniyaram, Podi Idly, Kothu Parotta, Goat leg soup, Parotta, etc. Some of these are rare South Indian items not available in all Indian restaurants. Veg Kothu Parotta was much different with potato added to it, which tasted very nice. My only complaint is the quantity of Kothu Parotta. It could be little more to match the Entree price. We ordered payasam and Gulab Jamun. Payasam was very good with correct sweetness same as Semiya Milk payasam that we prepare at home. Gulab jamun was too sweet. Ambience was good with soft song played. Time taken for the items to reach the table was faster. Overall, it is a very good restaurant and we will go back again even though it is 25mi away from our home.

This is my second time at Rajni. Ordered Mutton Biryani and it is one of the worst biryani I had in recent times. Mutton pieces are stale and discolored. It is clearly evident that biryani is not fresh. Avoid Rajni at any cost. They use more of microwave rather than freshly preparing dishes.

Excited after seeing a restaurant with my favorite star Rajni. There is nothing of tamil flavor most of the dishes are bland with out any flavor. Kothu Paratha is ok but not good. Chicken biryani is too spicy, it's not tamil but andhra flavor.Disgrace to tamil food. I don’t like to waste food or money but I threw the entire bag of biryani . Absolutely don’t recommend it to anyone.

After along time we felt that we had a perfect vegetarian meal. The food was very good and tasty. But i feel n think quantity of food should be little bit more.we had a vegetarian thali wth curries dal avakai sambar rasam curd papad sweet 1 phulka white rice n one special rice. Pure Vegetarians BEWARE!! They cook veg and non-veg on same Griddle. Worst attitude of the Tamil speaking Manager. Manager does not have basic courtesy to listen to the feedback and act on it. He argues that there is nothing wrong cooking veg and non-veg on same Griddle. Don't take customers for granted!

Food tastes awesome. I gave 3 stars cos, the quantity of the food is less and over priced. Wait time is more. The menu seems to be vast. They need to definitely cut down the items as its pretty vast, which is one of the reason , its time consuming for both ,who select the food or to make the food.

Came here from IL for few days and the way they mentioned authentic South Indian , I drove for 18 miles to try thier spicy Dosas. Think I would have tried this from any YouTube recipe and prepared by myself and it could hve been better alternative. Nothing was fresh , chutneys were smelling badly. The way manager was behaving was so disgusting. As if he was claiming that he is Guru of all authentic south Indian food.

I had wonderful experience at this Indian restaurant… The food was very appetizing and a large portion,( enough for two people ) I had samosas as an appetizer, and chicken biryani as my main dish. The staff were clean and professional, and the bathrooms were very new clean and neat. Me and my coworker eat out a different Indian restaurant every Thursday. We will be back at this restaurant when the opportunity presents itself.

Heard some great reviews so decided to stop by. Ordered a variety of stuff - dosa, paneer chilli and paneer Tikka masala. Utterly disappointed... The paneer tikka masala was sweet, paneer chilli tasted sour and the dosa was cold and the chutneys were just bland! Overall not a good experience.

Really a good find in Bear considering the Indian food scenes in Delaware. They have got a very good alacarte menu and the lunch specials are so delicious. This is much better than the buffet you get in many Indian restaurants nearby. Do try their Biriyani which is so flavorful and tasty. My only recommendation is that they should not compromise on the quality and continue doing what they do best. Happy eating :)

Review based on couple of visits to this restaurant. - vegetarian food is ok. All the dishes I ordered were filled with lots of pepper . Taste was just ok - non veg / meat dishes : I felt , Rajani restaurant thinks , adding thick masala rice to all left over meat pieces is dum biryani . My dinner dum biryani to go order had some thick masala rice with large chicken bone pieces and very small boneless pieces( left over ). Clearly can see they made my order with left over food . I wish they could tell me , they dont have biryani instead of adding all left over peices . Or if Rajani restaurant thinks that is dum biryani , I wish they could atleast see at other restaurants how real dum biryani looks like . Over all, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.

First visit to a restaurant I hadn't even known was right across the street from me. Had a lovely FULL menu. Wonderful options. We ordered veg samosa, Palak Paneer, Signature goat, coconut masala prawns, baby eggplant...and the house recommended bread. Everything was simply delicious. Excellent amount of heat and spice. Wonderful friendly staff. Ready and willing to answer questions. Great simple decor. Clean bathroom and large banquet style aide room. Plenty of seating and upbeat music. Reasonable prices for good portions. Will be returning often. And I discovered they deliver.

Omg,please try their Thali (platter) at least once,you will fall in love with it. They make great dosas too,and the sambhar and chutneys that come along with it are very tasty. Of all the places I have had South Indian food at,Rajni is so far my favourite. It stays authentic and does not make the food bland or mild to suit the palate of those not used to eating authentic South Indian food,and that is what I like the most about this place.If you are a spice lover,or if you are running a cold ,do try their rasams,they are so flavourful! I did not quite like the Kothu paratha,but maybe it is just personal preference. And do not forget to finish your meal with South Indian Filter Coffee!

Amazing experience of dining here. This place is very clean. There was everything which my family can eat veg./non veg. Typical south Indian home cooked kind of food very fresh and looked like hygiene taken care. I would say they have soul food. I belong to kerala, the menu here says andhra food but I loved the food here which had all sort of southIndian flavors in it. The veg.thali is more than enough for 1 person. I wish they had lunch buffet. Our family like to come here every week no matter the distance is 20 miles far from where I live. Rajni is a paradise for a foodie who love to eat home like food. Must try for those who miss Indian style food here in US.

This is my first review I ever gave on internet. Went to Rajni after seeing the reviews. I think most of the reviews are bogus. Below Average Food, sub par service, Poor Ambience. Too pricey for the food taste and experience. Biryani is bad. Go out and see how other establishments make Biryani. Freshly made idly means reheated idly. Manager here is nuisance guy. Talks all non-sense like I have seen you in costco or some where else. Total trash guy. Don't do all this cheap or fake management. Improve your Food.

Visited here with office colleagues and had the veg thali. It was super delicious, not very oily - and tasted as good as home cooked food. The variety was pretty amazing and fairly reasonable in terms of price. This is a Tamil South Indian place, so your thali (whether vegetarian or non-vegetarian) is flavored typically. This is not a buffet place, so you have to order off the menu - which I think is a good thing. Definitely recommend visiting if you're in the area and are looking for some tasty South Indian food!

I visited with friends for lunch over the weekend. We had the veg and non-veg thalis. I loved the non-veg thaali. It came with papad, roti, white rice, chicken rice, sambar, chicken curry, fish curry, fried fish, vegetable korma, rasam, yogurt, pickle and sooji halwa. The veg thali had eggplant-potato sabzi, kadhi, etc. in place of meat. I liked most of the flavors. The food was very filling and non-greasy. I relived my thali experiences in India. Would definitely recommend this place.

I just ate here yesterday. I ordered the idli, medhu vada, masala dosa, and pakoras with my family an friends, it came out hot and fresh.we ate it all up.i am very particular about Indian food in restaurants as I was used to my mom's home cooked food growing up. my parents ' best friends are also south Indian so I know what dosas and idli are supposed to tasted like. Everything was on point and tasted homemade. The accompaniments of sambhar and chutneys were also delicious. And serving also good, I really happy.

Last minute lunch date with family and decided to give it a try. Very clean when we walked in and was greeted with a smile. I love Indian food and this establishment did not disappoint. The staff were all very pleasant and the food was great. We order the Veg Samosa, tikka masala, and Chicken Naadang Curry. The presentation of the food was awesome! My mango lassi was amazing. I would go back just for the presentation of the mango lassi. Overall we had a great experience and will definitely be going back again.

Absolutely delicious food ... Asked for extra spicy, and it was hot. Could have been spicier, but this was easily the best Indian dish that I have ever been served. Some of the Menu is yet to be available. Time taken to bring out an order of 2 biryani and one parotha is 30 mins. Which is very high. Also, the price can be slightly more competitive. But I will visit again in 3 weeks when they are in full service.
