Friendly, good food and huge portions

The food is consistently delicious. The serving sized are plentiful and we usually have leftovers to take home. All of the servers are friendly and helpful when asked for suggestions. A large menu with great prices!!!

We stopped for dinner on a Sunday and one of the specials was roast turkey with stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy and a side... Plus you got a soup or salad. The turkey dinner was better than my mother's and that is the first time I have ever been able to say that. The portion was huge and thankfully, we had enough for 2 more meals. A generous portion of white and dark meat and the stuffing was delicious. Definitely all home made. I strongly suggest that they add this dinner to their regular menu. The 3 people in our party that ordered it all agreed it was the best they had ever had. Definitely going back.

Giving them one star because I can’t give none. I thought this place was decent...I thought wrong. Everyone who’s local knows we have not been able to keep a good restaurant in Dagsboro. I am gluten free and there are not many places I can eat on the fly. I ordered a Greek salad plain and simple. Got it home started eating it and bam hair all in the salad. Not just one either! Not that I am worried about myself, but I fed this to my two year old daughter before knowing. Yea hair happens, but maybe once. This isn’t the first time folks it’s the second. So I question how sanitary this place even is. And to put a cherry on top, not one staff person there was concerned, showed any empathy, or gave an apology. Yup they just acted as if it was no big deal! A little bit of advice from someone who has been in customer service for 18 years....GET SOME! And for goodness sakes wear hair nets and clean your kitchen!

so honestly I live less than 10 minutes from this place and had never been there been to the movie theater next door all around it finally decided with a friend from out of town to go it was some of the best food in the town of dagsboro and I couldn't believe it I was thinking diner it came out more like up scale RI concepted diner food or something but I loved it and would recommend it to anybody absolutely great service.

There is rather diverse menu. Additionally, the daily special menu includes several meal options. The wait staff was attentive and pleasant. This restuarant is known for having a wait time due its popularity and location. Lastly, there is a decent amount of parking in their parking lot.

Party of 8 family and friends ; dinner at 5 pm on a Saturday in early May. Service just a tad slow, but the food was all excellent. My stuffed flounder was delicious, and the meal came with cream of crab soup as an option that was as good as it gets. No hassle over the large party, with minimum errors. Highly recommended! Just hope that success doesn't kill a great small jewel.

1. Get fries burgers subs and pizza only. Salad was fine as well but Seafood is well below par so is the sides (mixed vegetable s are strait from frozen bag). I got the sampler so shrimp was good. Flounder not fresh and overcooked, crab cakes had lots of chunks of meat but very oiley. Scallops were mushy. I mean nothing horrible but not satisfying in the least. 2. Service was very good I left a 10$ tip. The service saved the place from a 2 or 1 star rating. They didnt put the servers name on the reciept or we would have given him some cred. Sorta tall dark haired guy. 3. All in all I was expecting so much more based on the ratings here. Just stick to the basics and take out and its probably a 3-4 rating for sure. We just paid a touch too much for what we got nothing was better than I can make at home and I could pay the same price in oc for much better food... but I didnt make it so there is that.

I love this place . I’ve eaten here dozens of times and never been disappointed. Food is always fresh and homemade . Lots of choices and great for families , couples , or anyone . Chicken noodle soup here is always awesome and I get it every time . Affordable and quick , this is my local go to . Also a fan of the pizza and calzones . It’s not true NY style but it’s better than a lot of the pizza available locally .

Was there Fri evening 6:15, was seated in back, didn't want to sit there, wanted booth with cushion seats not chairs. Asked to be seated at large table, waitress had attitude and said something smart! Left and ate somewhere else. Will talk to Manager later!

I almost always see a full parking lot at lunch and dinner times, so I gave Porto Pizza & Grill a chance. I stopped in for a meatball sub take out order. The sub was delicious although it took a little longer to prepare than I expected. It was hot, covered with just enough melted cheese and delicious. I'll be back to try something else.

My mom and I visited Porto on a Monday night, and we were pleasantly surprised to see how busy it was in there. Our Cesar salads were tasty. The menu has a lot of pasta and chicken entrees so that is what we had. The chicken on both was cooked perfectly! The carrot cake was a great ending. We will be back!

Arrived about 4:30 for dinner at Porto’s.We were seated promptly with utensils and menus. Within minutes our waitress Linda came to take our drink orders. When she came back we ordered dinner. Two of us shared veggie pizza and side salads. One other got a chicken salad wrap with fries and the other ordered steak sub and baked potato. All portions were generous and very tasty. Linda gave super service and even split checks for us! Great service, tasty food, great value. Don’t pass this place up!

My fiancee and I are from central pa and were just traveling through, but I am sooo happy we stopped in. The place doesn't look like much from the outside but the inside is very clean and comfortable. They have a very extensive menu. I mean they have a little bit of everything and very reasonably priced. Everything we had to eat was deeliccious! And we did not have to wait long. I would suggest this place to locals or anyone passing through!

Good and friendly service. The food is pleasing to the eye but that's where the good part ends. Been there twice the first time I ordered a Ruben wrap. A triple dose of saurkraut and the plate was flooded with juice.it was all I could taste. My second visit wasn't any better. My steak on the cheese steak panini was set as dust and the thick heavy bread didn't help things The fries tasted ok both visits but the second time the were barely warm. I hear good things about this place but it hasn't live up to it's reputation.

Well worth the trip in driving to this wonderful establishment. For years we have driven past this spot on the way to the beach. The parking lot is always packed. We now know it is because they have good food at good prices.

Wings were undercooked and pink on the inside. Went to try em down the shore for good comfort food. Tried Proto again the next night. Turkey club sandwhich. Again uncooked turkey and bread that wasnt toasted. The wait staff for take out orders was more concerned with talking about personal stuff instead of making sure our order was cooked properly. Do not go here even if it is your closest option for take out.

Excellent menu, great service, affordable prices and this is from a foodie from NJ! We stayed for a sports at the beach event over the summer and ate here MANY times...great for people who have teenage boys with BIG appetites and also parents who prefer a finer fare! That was TWO years ago and we STILL go to Porto’s...we have now moved to this area and this is one of our FAVORITE places to eat. Have yet to have a bad meal here. The portions are generous and delicious and the wait staff are friendly.

Personally I consider this pizza very mediocre but they seem to have a loyal clientele. Honestly I was so disappointed that I never went back to try the other food. There is better pizza available frozen in supermarkets. The crust is devoid of flavor, the ingredients are quite unremarkable. Sorry Porto I wanted you to be good.

Went for a late breakfast, hostess just asked breakfast or lunch and threw menus on a booth, window sill has loose paint chips and trash everywhere, bathroom floor had urine and hadn't been cleaned in awhile. Food was ok, but overpriced for what you got.

I have tried this place on multiple occasions. I have Celiac disease, so I have to eat food without bread or breading. Seafood is overcooked or swimming in butter and rubberized. My boyfriend says he's had better stuff in the frozen food section at the grocery store. I will say they do make a very good cream of crab soup, which is the only thing I will continue to carry out a few times a month.

My wife and I pass through Dagsboro several times a year. Porto's is a "must stop" to eat for breakfast, lunch or dinner, depending on the time of day. No matter the meal; it is prepared fresh, tastes great, reasonably priced, and they give you lots of it. The service is fast and courteous, and there's lots of free parking. Porto's is a solid gold nugget in the middle of a beautiful little town. You have to give it a try.

We have been here quite a few times. Most everything is very good, pizza is excellent and their crab soup is hard to beat also nice variety of pfferings.Good service nice people. Only bad thing which has happened to us twice in evening, is they clean sometimes while still serving. We watched waiters/waitresses pick up rugs and take outside and clean/shake and come right back immediately and serve food without washing hands. They have also swept floor/rugs making dust fly with numerous patrons still eating. They really need to improve this aspect, wait til closing.
