Northfield Garden is in a small strip mall on US-9. They are primarily a Chinese takeout, but they do also serve dine-in customers, albeit with only two available tables. One thing I noticed is service is very good and the lady will take care of anything that you need. As a plus, pretty much the entire takeout menu is available for dine-in and the combination platters are quite impressive when served on a plate instead of in a takeout box. As always, the first thing I tried was the pork egg foo young. It's a benchmark I use for all Chinese takeout places and here, they did rather well. The egg foo young wasn't too oily and having a bowl of gravy on the side kept it from getting soggy. Definitely would revisit this place the next time I'm in Northfield.

Excellent food. We placed a big order of varied menu items. All were delicious, well packaged, and the order was ready on-time. There are only three tables in the restaurant, so it is more of a take out place than an eat in place. We will definitely order from Northfield Garden again the next time we are in the area.

My new favorite Chinese place in the area. Fairly priced, not overly fried, not overly lathered with sauce, fresh, and tasty. They do have great vegan options too!

Second time there second time problem first time told them that I had mouth surgery wanted them to cut the meat in small pieces even gave them a tip got home meat wasn't cut small pieces at all then big chunks of vegetables wasn't enjoyable this time for the next visit

Before today I would give this place 5 stars easily. Their chickens never been questionable, the foods always been fresh , and there always seems to be a fresh take on classics that are stale at other spots.However, today I order the generals chicken combo, and this dish was horrible. This seems to be the one safe choice at any Chinese place , but not here. The sauce was to acidic and almost reminded you of tomato based sauce that hasn’t cooked down enough. It was just plain awful, the worst generals I’ve ever had. Aside from the terrible sauce, there was no spice at all. Throw some sesame seeds on it and i could have served it to my kids , no spiciness at all.

I ordered from there on my birthday May 3rd and ordered chicken wings with shrimp fried rice and chicken wings with pork fried rice, and a order of shrimp lo mien, well my chicken wings were not cooked all of the way-I couldn’t eat them and the shrimp lo mien had too much of seasoning or something that was dark in color and tasted funny on the noodles.
