Newport Family Restaurant Is a great lace to eat .. Really Really good food . Everything they make is homemade and always fresh.. I have been eating her off and on for about 10 years . And not once did I ever had to complain about anything.. And I mean anything.. The waitress and everyone that works there are great and very nice .. I look at it this way . If you come in acting like an ass ...Then you will be treated like an ass and will be ask to get out .. Just remember. ..They didn't piss in your cheerio's so don't come in acting like it's there fault you are having a bad day.. They are the best people you will ever meet. And at that note I will leave it to that.. Thank you to everyone at Newport Family Restaurant.. ( your the best)

It's a good local diner. I get their French toast hash browns and sausage all the time. Never disappointed me. Prices are a little higher than normal, but good local diners gotta do what they must, I guess. Not THE best in Delaware. But on my top 10.

Best place to get breakfast in the area!! Sometimes there is a wait on weekends, but it is worth it! Cash only but an ATM on site. Breakfast is always fantastic!! Waffles and feta, tomato, spinach cheese omlet are our go tos. Family friendly!

Staying in Delaware for a brief business trip and looked for a nearby restaurant that had good ratings on Google. Nothing fancy, but they had some of the best home cooked comfort food you could ask for. We had roasted half chicken meal and chicken croquettes meal. Both were outstanding! Clean interior, pleasant staff, and some seriously good food. You can't go wrong eating here. Thank you, Newport Family Diner.

This is a diner type restaurant. The wait staff is "hit or miss" where some servers are terrific while others leave you waiting on everything including drinks & refills. The hours are somewhat limited especially on Sundays. The food is wonderful though. I have never gotten anything that wasn't delicious.

I ordered food this morning I want pick my order up when I got home I noticed it was wrong I called them the woman's argue with me tell me that I didn't order what I ordered but I know what I ordered very very rude and unprofessional every time I go there they screwed up my order you should train your waitresses last time I eat inside the restaurant got chocolate milk the milk was bad and woman was telling me there was nothing wrong with it place Smells Like Old diapers so you've been warned

I have been eating at this place for over 30 years when they were down the street.. When I left for the navy when I was 18 this was the one place I would always eat breakfast at when I came home. I had to have my creamed chip beef on toast with home fries and a side of Scrapple. I have had the same waitress for at least 20 years. I may not come home for a year or more but as soon as I walk in she remembers me. I am the 4th generation that had eaten here.. This place is truly a land mark.. Go have breakfast! Bring cash!

Great neighborhood feel. Breakfast was so good, we went back the following week. Wait staff extremely friendly, nothing seems to be too much trouble. Eggs Benedict were a little different than I am used to, but delicious just the same. Give them a try, you won't be sorry.

Great Newport find! Friendly staff, nice diner atmosphere and our food was timely and delicious. We had mozzarella sticks, a shrimp basket and chicken tenders. They came with bread and butter and two sides (we got green beans, potato salad, fries and a small upcharge for a salad) The potato salad tasted like a classic home made dish while the green beans were a slight disappointment (tasted like they were from a can) still really good diner food! We live so close and will definitely be back ♡

Went here for breakfast with hubby, this mornin. My first time, the server was polite. The food was really good. Prices are super good,are bill was $20.53. For two adults, nice atmosphere. U can seat your self,we had a nice cozy booth. They were packed and ppl just kept comin.

I am a sometime visitor to this establishment, in one of my posts I raved about the stuffed pork chops. Last night I stopped in, ordered the veal parmesan, have to say it was among the best I have ever eaten, even outshining the Columbus Inn but nowhere near the price. When we first walked in they were busy so it was kinda clustered by the door. It is seat yourself so we were waiting for a table. A lady walked by with a tray of food..I later found out her name was Holly..she said excuse me hot food then told me to move. That set me over the edge and we almost left. You never tell someone to move. My thing is she's taking care of people when they come in and she's that rude!!!! I was appalled. Our server was great and the food was good. Holly really left a bad taste in my mouth
