You may have noticed that it has an average rating is quite high, and it is founded on a high number of reviews, so we can be quite sure that the valuation is very credible. If people have bothered to rate when they are happy, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to put opinions when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant belongs to the category of Japanese restaurant.
Super rude management.
Art of Maki and spicy tuna rolls and lightly fried crab roll. Like to sit by a window.
Great sushi, when they have their "special" days, great price. Staff is attentive
Delicious food!
We have been going to Megu for many years. Mostly go for sushi, sashimi or hibachi. It’s consistently great. Fish quality is high, restaurant ambiance is very nice. Highly recommend
Sushi is always on par with Sagami
Great food
No smiles. Our favorite place but NO SMILES!!
Always fun, entertaining and the food is very good
I used to love coming here but no more ever again. The last time we came, they lost our reservation. It was annoying but they were able to accommodate us pretty quickly. Tonight we had reservations for 7. We gave them our name and they just said "ok" and nothing else. We shuffled awkwardly to the side. There were two parties ahead of us of 15 people each. These people had reservations at 6:30 and were still waiting. They had told that party that they could split them up since they couldn't sit them together which is crazy. I thought we may have had better luck as a party of two but sat there for a half hour. As the hostess had never gave us a response, i went up and asked what the rest of the wait would be and she said "I have no clue. I don't have contact with the back hibachi" What kind of answer is that? Isn't it your job to find that out instead of having two parties of 15, me and my significant other, and at least three other couples behind us. I was so aggravated at that point we left. What kind of business gives that answer? And what kind of restaurant takes reservations that they obviously can not accommodate?? I hate to even pull the card but as a fairly successful food blogger for the area I will be letter people know to take their hibachi business elsewhere. I definitely will be.
Dinner and a show!!!!! Had a great time and the food was great. Look forward to doing it again.
We ordered sushi tonight through GrubHub. We received half the order. We called the restaurant. They said the 4 orders were in 2 containers. They weren’t. They asked us to call grub hub and hung up. Grub hub handled it professionally, Megu sushi did not. I will never order from here again.
A little pricey but sushi was very good and portions weren't bad either.
Always a good meal
Great quality quality Sushi, fantastic discount on Sunday's and Monday's
Yumm
Great food. Chef was hilarious and was so good with daughter.
BYOB, great sushi, with decent prices. They do daily deals, so keep an eye out!
Its hit or miss sometimes its great but the last few times it sucked! Long wait, food was greasy, cold, and over priced.
Cook was great food was delicious and large portions. Would definitely return with friends. Amazing experience. BYOB just added to the greatness.
Great sushi place. Service can be hit or miss sometimes but I've never had an issue with the food.
Sushi was fantastic, some of the best I've had. Good prices too.
Waited 20 minutes for menus and then another 20 to order, then was hounded for a larger tip while trying to leave.
Horrible had wait 15 mins get seated the another 25 minutes to finally order. Left before the cook came.
I don't like giving bad reviews, but I ordered delivery from this place and was very disappointed. Maybe I've just been lucky to get awesome sushi when I've had it at 10-20 other places, but this place was definitely the worst I've ever had. Just tasted old. Worried I might be sick later now. Seems like others have enjoyed dine-in so maybe do that instead of take-out. Maybe that's better. Sorry guys.
Decent, not great sushi.
The sushi and hibachi are fantastic. The atmosphere and and friendly service is excellent
We go to Megu somewhat frequently. The sushi is always fresh and good, but not fantastic. It's reliably solid and you will enjoy it, just don't expect to be wowed. On Sunday and Monday they also have 30% off on sushi which is an excellent deal.
Have been going to Megu for at least 8 years, and have yet to be disappointed. Their sushi is amazing for dine in or takeout. I've tried 10+ other sushi places in the area, but always end up coming back to Megu. My favorites from the menu are the Volcano Roll and the Godzilla, but I have tried almost every other roll, all are delicious. Sometimes service is a little on the slow side, but always worth the wait.
Great Sushi! My grandson loves Sake and I enjoyed Maguro and Hamachi.
Good japanese food and ambiance.
Decent lunch spot but I'd like a bigger lunch variety. Overall though, decent food. I'd definitely go back.
love this place. i have tried a couple of dishes and dif sushi and everything has great flavor
Sushi is fresh and delicious
The Best!
Very unpleasent attitude from the server that was assigned to our table.
The food is always good but they up charged $2.00 for gluten free soy sauce when a whole bottle cost $2.00!!
I didn't even intend on going here. I thought it was another place I Google searched, but I am very happy I accidentally went here, because the two sushi rolls I just ordered are absolutely delicious!! Thank you.
Great place for sushi and other Japanese dishes. Love the apps!
The hibachi was amazing!
Awesome as usual!
Horrible service. Their door and website both said they open at 12:30 on Sunday. I arrived at 12:35 and waited until 12:50 and no hostess ever showed up for seating.
It was a busy night, but with two kids they did their best! Very good experience!
We made a reservation because we had plans later in the evening and needed to be gone by a certain time. We waited about 20 minutes and realized we weren't going to get seated in the hibachi area that we reserved. So we sat in the regular dining area instead. Not really a big deal right? But the service wasn't any better when sat down and the food was below average. It's highly unlikely I will ever eat there again.
Awsome food was delicious!!
Best sushi eveerrrrr
Fresh sashimi and sushi!! Best in Marlton.
Good quality and always fresh when I've dealt with them
Great food and service! Fresh and delicious, defintely a nice sit-down place!
Megu never disappoints. Delicious!
We love the food here at Megu.
The restaurant is nicely decorated and very clean. Waitress kept on returning to our table to check on us. The food tasted great.
The volcano roll and spring roll were delicious. Service was great.
Ordered 60 rolls to go.., every single one was falling apart. . The place is very pricy. Paid 100$, for the same order paid 70 in Sushi Kingdom! !!!!!!!!!!! Never going there again! !!!!!!!
Nice restaurant with a good selection on the menu.
Great dishes prepared right at your table. Everyone serving was friendly & courteous. I will be sure to recommend to my friends.
We usually don't care for takeout but the fish here is so fresh it was very good.
Staff was nice and sushi tasted really good!
Why oh why???? Attended birthday celebration there for hibachi dinner. Party of 12. Upon arrival seated promptly and our server asked if the entire party would be on 1 check. We asked to separate and provided instructions to mk ig easier however he became irritated as he wanted each member of each ticket to sit next to one another. So we moved around to mk it easier. Then we asked multiple times for ice bucket since its byob. One member complained to the manager b4 the ice bucket arrived after third request. Also server yelled at one member for walking to another table to get utensils. When the salad arrived one member declined and another person offered to take it but the server waited hesitantly to give it. Also during the dinner presentation the birthday girl got a kitchen utensil thrown at her by the chef accidentally of course which knocked a water glass over spilled all over her pants. The staff was quick to apologize and clean up but no one offered to take anything off the bill and the 20% gratuity was automatically included. There are other hibachi restaurants in this area so I doubt I'll visit this location again. The food was decent however.
Was excellent experience took my daughter here for her 7th birthday. She absolutely enjoyed it
We went for their hibachi and not only do you get a good show and friendly staff, but you also get a lot of food all included in the meal. Every meal comes with soup AND salad, a few shrimp fried rice and lo mein, all on top of your meat choice(s). And the food tastes great too!
Lunch specials are Grrrrrrrreat!
Favorite sushi spot
Nice atmosphere
Amazing sushi...terrific people
Consistently good food. Nice staff too. Byob. Has sushi and hibachi.
What a Great Hibachi Experience - The Chef was Funny Witty with Superior Cutlery Knife Skills - Fantastic Asian Cuisine - Great for Everyone
Food was excellent however, service was not good. Staff seemed disorganized and not responsive to customer requests.
I urge you to not go to the Hibachi Grill. We went to celebrate a Birthday and our entire party had gotten sick. We believe it was the shrimp or steak. The food had been sitting for some time and not properly covered before they served it. This worried me but I was told it's ok.... Well it was not. We had never been so sick. I contacted the restaurant by phone and email many times but no reply. It was a very costly meal over $120. Management has no concern for customer service the gentleman that was suppose to be entertaining us at the grill was very overworked and very boring. Our waitress was the only good thing I could say about this Restaurant. Please find another Hibachi Grill so you to do not get sick...
Delicious! The white tuna is amazing
A lot of types of testy sushi
We've been going to this location off and on for 11 years. We hadn't been there for several years, but the staff still recognized us and even remembered part of my husband's order! The food is always amazing!
Love this place! Wonderful family who owns it. Never disappoints. Their House Soup is the best in all of South Jersey & Philly.
We went during a busy time, but every other table was waited on multiple times before we even got our appetizers. Instead of checking in on us, the waiter just kept replacing our half finished drinks - without asking. The only thing we could get him to say was "so sorry, just a little longer" while he had full blown conversations with the table across from us. It took us almost 3 HOURS to get our SUSHI which we chose because of it's simplicity. It took me standing up and looking around the restaurant for him to actually start our order (by then just about everyone else had been served and vacated). I love sushi, have had it from various places including this chain, and this was the most sub-par I've had in a while: the rice was falling apart under the fish, the rolls were simply placed on the plate without garnish or pride, and half of our order STILL wasn't finished by the time we got that! After all of that waiting and being ignored, when we tried to pay the waiter handed the card over the wall to the cashier...which I thought was to ensure we weren't kept waiting any longer...and speedily walked away. It took us GETTING UP and HEADING FOR THE EXIT for them to run us back the check. And the man had the nerve to give us a face when we didn't tip! It took 3 hours to get 16 prices of shoddily prepared sushi and a tempura appetizer that we ate in 5 minutes because we were falling asleep by the time it came, and they thought that we were going to TIP? It pains me to write such a bad review but I hope this is the kick in the butt that makes them strive for better.
Food is very good the establishment is very clean service is good My 2nd time there I will go back again
Hands down one of the best sushi restaurants in the area. Steve the chief / owner combines very good sauces, spicy mayonnaise, ginger, and others that just put the top grade, fresh fish out of the park. My favorite is the Tuna dumplin and Steve's special sashimi roll, and more. Highly recommended- bring white wine. The grill is very good too, but I prefer the sashimi.
Decent sushi. Poor customer service if order is wrong
Very good and fresh sushi. Love this place.
Excellent sushi
Environment is nice, but sushi is mediocre.
I am from New York and have been to many places all over Manhattan and Long Island. This is by far my favorite sushi place EVER. When I moved here 5 years ago this was the first place I went to and have been going once a week since. They have 30% off on Sunday and Monday. The Mini Me roll is a must
Good food but could have brought our check faster for the next party
Very fast service, no wait at all
Unbelievable. Ordered delivery and after 40 minutes of waiting I am told they can’t come. Oh well my friend said their food is really bad. Don’t believe the other reviews.
Honestly some of the best sushi I've had anywhere in my life. Quality of fish is out of this world and the creative choices are outstanding.
Always Great! Their House Soup is the Best in South Jersey!
This restaurant was clean, the service was stellar, the food didn't disappoint and the price was rught...oh I forgot to mention there was absolutely no waiting and the food came out quickly. I will recommend this place to everyone I know
Beautiful sushi restaurant with wide selection of rolls fish and other non sushi dishes.
Great sushi
Fresh and delicious. Chef Tim is a real pro.
My husband and I love this place! BYOB, great service and delicious rolls!! Our favorite is the Art of Maki. We have eaten a lot of sushi in our lives and Megu Sushi is our favorite. They have great appetizers too, like the tuna pizza. Yum!!
Big rolls, little rice.
