Food was delicious -- especially the special chilled tomato soup! The menu was largely the same as when we visited last year, and in my opinion could use a refresh. We will gladly visit again.

Prices are a bit on the high side at this French bistro, but there service is friendly. The food is delicious, and I had a French Martini that was done just right. This is an unexpected find in a beach town so close to the boardwalk.

Wine, appetizer, steak, and service was good..,but too noisy and my beef bouginoin was all mashed potatoes, very little beef, carrots or mushrooms. No desire to return anytime soon!! If you don't wish to talk with your dinner partner, then it's the overpriced place for you!!

My family and I went to La Fable based on the memory of mine of that “one French restaurant I went to once”. We went there and we were blown away by the food here. We ordered Lamb shank, beef bourgenoun(spl), and hanger steak. It was the best food I have ever tasted in my entire life. Everything was absolutely perfect and delicious! Highly recommended and the chef was very polite and greeted us personally.

I recently ate dinner at La Fable, Friday night. Overall, we had a very nice experience. While the food was delicious, the noise level in the restaurant was a bit loud, making it difficult to hear the person sitting across from you. All 4 members in our party commented on this, and even said something to our server when she was telling us about the desserts. That aside, the quality of the French cuisine by far makes up for any issues with noise. All of us in our party remarked how delicious the food was, from the soup to the appetizers to our meals. Our main waitress was incredibly friendly and accommodating, helping make suggestions for one of our party members with a food allergy. If in the area and you’re looking for a high-end, quality meal—I strongly suggest trying La Fable!

The food is fantastic and the service is very good but it's very warm inside. I had the beef bourguignon which very tender. It was placed on a pillow of puree potatoes with just enough savory mushroom gravy to cover but not overpower the dish. The wife had the scallops which was perfectly done, not rubbery nor was it undercooked. The server was very nice, attentive and prompt. The only issue I had was with the temperature of the room. The climate control was inadequate for the small space and it only got warmer as the night went on. Otherwise it was a very fine dining experience with doing again.

My wife treated me to dinner here for my birthday and we had a truly exceptional dining experience. We started with martinis, they have a great cocktail menu. The drinks were top notch, my wife particularly enjoyed the Zelda. We started with the Fois Gras Mousse and the Fromage. Both the mousse and the cheese selections were excellent. I had the Coquilles St. Jacques, which is a preparation of scallops, mushrooms, and leeks, served with Cauliflower. The combination of land and sea flavors in this dish was exquisite. My wife had the Steak Au Poivre, which is their "daily" cut of beef served with fries and a black pepper cognac sauce. The steak was a center cut rib eye, which was cooked perfectly and was easily one of the best steaks either of us has ever had. Tender and bursting with flavor. The prices are in the high end for Rehoboth Beach, with most entrees in the $30 to $40 range. Worth every penny. Will definitely be returning soon.

While the atmosphere was rustic and romantic, I didn't feel as well-attended to as the larger parties by my particular server. The support staff did their best to make up for his distractedness so that was appreciated. While it was expensive, the food was rich, fresh and intensely flavorful.

Reliably one of the best restaurants in Delaware. Megan and her staff are welcoming and attentive. There is no menu item I would not recommend. The Sweetbreads were delicious and the Gnocchi with Lobster was superb. The escargot was enchanting and begged for the delicious hard crusted bread to be dipped in it's juice. Absolutely superb. Thanks Megan and team.

Lovely restaurant and Denis was an excellent and super friendly server!! The trout was amazing! The duck was somewhat chewy and too salty, but otherwise we enjoyed our meals. Save room for the creme brulee!

This restaurant was really nice. It's location right by the beach was fantastic and it's food was the quality I expected (very good). The only downside to this visit was the seating. My wife and I felt we couldn't have a conversation without everyone next to us hearing every word. They (understandably) crammed as many place settings in as possible, but to the detriment of the establishment's atmosphere.

La Fable was a five star French restaurant experience with a modest price. The duck was superb and the scallops. Our server Darell was wonderful! Dessert- The Best Lemon Tart ever created by a 19 year old self taught chef! Highly recommend this restaurant for delicious experience. Also they have a piano bar which is a nice touch to the evening. Well done!!!

This restaurant is a hidden gem, I wish my stomach could have held more. We ordered the frog leg app, steak frits, and duck confete, all three dishes were perfection an a plate. The Friday night piano bar was jamming and just added to the experience. Call ahead, but make time to try when in town.

My birthday dinner. We were greeted at the door by the owner who promptly wished me Happy Birthday. She was engaging all of the guests as well as assisting the staff. Her energy and passion is amazing and her excellent staff follow her example. The atmosphere is cozy, very European. We found it romantic, but also very friendly as we met a wonderful couple at the table next to us and struck up a great comversation. The service was prompt and the staff was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. As for the food... in a word, fabulous with an excellent wine and cocktail list. The price is in line with an upscale restaurant and well worth it for both the food and experience. We will definitely be back.

The food here is terrific but we go about once a year (in the off season) (on Sunday) because there is little choice if you don't eat meat or shellfish. Delicious craft cocktails and wide-ranging wine list. I recommend a bottle and take half home. We had Caesar, Fable salad, trout and scallops. Yum. It's upscale but also homey. You end up in conversations with the folks at the next table and with the waitstaff. Everybody has a story.

Real French food, great service, friendly staff, and a very kind, caring proprietor. I always go back whenever I'm in Rehoboth Beach. This is one of the best French restaurants I know of in the US -- what a gem, hiding in Rehoboth Beach!

Meh. I travel frequently to France for work, and my girlfriend actually lived there. We were not very impressed by this place. The food is decent, menu had the typical options like foie and boeuf bourguignon... but nothing was very special. Sort of a sanitized Americanized version of French food. The moules frites were nothing like we ever had in France. It was a nice meal, but don't think you're getting anything authentic.
