Been there before and wanted to try it again so went back, no reservations allowed, had the choice for a 1 hour wait inside or 30 minute wait outside where no one was. Waited an hour and the hostess never called me, just happen to come back and the table was ready. Hostess was a little on the rude side when talk to us. Sat down at the smallest table they have. Waitress was a little rude and when she was interrupted taking our order by a person not even eating or working asking for separate checks for her friends no apology to the people who were actually paying to eat there. Save your money and go somewhere they might appreciate it.

Warm, friendly and consistently go food. Has been a reliable 'go to' place for us in Lewes for years. Check out the weekly specials. It does fill up, so get there early or be ready to enjoy a drink while you wait.

The food was excellent, as was the service. I saw that most of the bad reviews were older and we were right to trust our instincts. Love the local beers and the specials did not disappoint. Would have been 5 stars if the acoustics were better. I pray they put up curtains or something to help dampen the noise. Otherwise, fantastic.

Wonderful. Only been here once, but with another couple and we sampled each other's entrees. Now, this isn't the type of place you would order Mac n Cheese, but I read reviews of it that were through the roof, and I ordered a side dish and I am so glad I did! This is the recipe! My husband had the beet salad which looked terrific and tasted great. Atmosphere is cozy, warm and dark, club-like, and be prepared to wait during weekends, in summer and peak season. Owned by the same family as Striper Bites on Savannah Road.

Heard great things but this place was not good. Lord of the FLIES!!!!! First of all we were seated by the door and there were about 30 flies. We mentioned this to the waitress who didn't do anything. We had a large group so they automatically added an 18% gratuity - which was not deserved. The waitress did an ok job but some people in our party didn't get there food until most of uscwere all almost done. One had a poor execution of risotto which should be a basic staple -it was bad. The serice was slooooooow. We will not be going back. The price was too much for what we got. This is a shame because the same people operate striper bites - a more casual dining spot nearby and it's very good.

Wonderful creative restaurant in the heart of downtown Lewes. Love the appetizers and small plates, especially the cheese and charcuterie board. The regular menu has a wide range of entrees, and special deals during the week. Friendly and attentive staff, and a great and reasonably priced wine list. Our go-to restaurant in Lewes!

Went for burger night and it was amazing. I personally actually have a bit of intolerance for red meat but I was willing to risk it to try this place out. Had dinner for two including a bacon cheeseburger, fries, and a soft drink for $18. That's unheard of here! Even Five Guys costs more and honestly the burger isn't as good as what Kindle makes. It does cost more on other days of the week but if you want a quality meal for a very reasonable price check these guys out on Wednesdays. They have another special on Thursday which I believe is Filet Night, though I have not tried that. Based on the quality of food, helpfulness and friendly nature of the staff, and the overall atmosphere I would strongly recommend you try this place out even if it's not one of the special nights. Definitely plan to return here and try more of the menu.

Love the atmosphere, but hate that you can't get some of the bar items in the regular restaurant. Also, have tried to get takeout and same issues, of not being able to order certain food. I get the rules and restrictions. But keep them consistent, and apply to all patrons!

Loved the food and drinks, but was really disappointed that I was given a plastic 'compostable' cup with a plastic straw even though I bring my own water bottle to just have filled. If you're bringing the drinks out in glass you might as well bring the water out in glass too.

Really good wine list with a lot of nice offerings by the glass I went for the rose flight and I liked it quite a bit. The wife had a fresh caught red snapper soup with a tomato base and rice. I had a tempura battered soft shell blue crab sandwich. All of the food was excellent and the specials menu was completely enticing. Seriously considering sticking around to try dinner.

My wife and I are middle america meat and potato's people. Fancy meals with fancy price tags just don't do it for us. We LOVE Kindle's. Our favorite is Thursday night at the bar. Love that steak and wine special. Bartenders are super friendly. Never had a bad meal there.

Wow, this place was packed, it was a 45 minute wait, but well worth it. It was $8 burger night. The burger was an 8oz angus burger with backn lettuce, tomato and onion w/fries. It was really good, as was the service. The place is small and a bit noisy, but overall a nice setting. I think everyone in there was having a burger. I had the cheddar instead of the gruyere. Would definitely come back on our annual trip to Rehoboth.

I was eating alone on a Saturday evening. I’m a woman in my mid-60s, was visiting for a memorial service. I got to Kindle later than I should have and was seated at a table near the bar as that was all they had. Someone from the bar gave me a menu and after 25 minutes no one had taken my order. I left and found a less fussy, less hip, and less expensive place where I was made to feel welcome and enjoyed a pleasant meal. I don’t know if I’ll visit Lewes again but I won’t give Kindle my business.

My wife and celebrated our wedding anniversary and the atmosphere and food was fantastic. Our server Michelle was outstanding and treated us and the tables around us very well. My wife’s scallops were some of the best she’s ever had and my lamb shank was fall off the bone tender. We loved the experience

I was here about 3 weeks ago. AC couldn't keep up. Extremely hot and uncomfortable. Place was packed and noisy. I ordered the Halibut with some veggies. Portions were OK but food was extremely bland. Wife had a petite filet that was OK. Place needs to invest some dollars to upgrade HVAC system. Had a salad that I believe used some type of mustard dressing. It was over powering.

Went to Kindle the Sunday before Valentines Day with my boyfriend. Got there as soon as it opened to avoid any waits - sat immediately. Ordered "fire fries" as an appetizer they had a great unique taste! Ordered the princess cut filet for my entree it was excellent! Mussels are very good too! Waitress was very helpful.

Awesome dinner. Not as inexpensive as Yelp suggests with a $$ categorization. More like a $$$ restaurant, but it was well worth the expense. I had the Catch of the Day, which was Mahi Mahi on a bed of sweet corn and asparagus for $28. Three people had the Salmon and loved it, wife had Halibut and it was excellent, daughter had the half chicken and loved it, and son had the NY strip and loved it. All entrees except steak were under $30. All around, an excellent experience.
