The food was okay, but the staffs were chit-chating quit loudly while they were handling food. Four, five staffs were louder than the guests in the restaurant at the time that I was today for lunch.

The food here is truly excellent; authentic flavors, prepared with care. The service from all the servers (3) was just abysmal. Slammed the food down on the table spilling it, had to be asked to refill drinks, threw away food we asked to have wrapped, were generally apathetic and one of them was just rude. Next time we'll drive to the city which is a shame considering the food quality.

Dined in for lunch. Their lunch special is AMAZING. Any 3 rolls for under $10! Woohoo! Sushi was fresh. Service was fast. And staff was super friendly. I will be returning again and again to satisfy my sushi cravings :)

The jalapeno popper appetizer (no, not the standard deep fried affair) was a highlight of the visit. Peppers were in half filled with a combo of sushi style ingredients. All other sushi was excellent and well prepared, presented well.

This is hands down one of THE MOST authentic Japanese cuisine restaurant in the tri-state area!! The Amazing Roll: nothing short of amazing!! Ordered 3 sushi rolls to go. Philadelphia Roll and the spicy tuna roll was good... but the shrimp tempura was very soggy. I'm used to tempura rolls being crunchy and fresh. Felt like a bunch of mush inside.

Kawa is easily one of the best sushi places i have been to. My boyfriend and I stopped in randomly after seeing the sign and the staff was so inviting and friendly. The sushi was phenomenal and extremely fresh. This is easily the best place in Delaware County. We will continue to come back time and time again.

I used to love sushi. My first date with my husband of 22 years was at a sushi place. We used to enjoy an authentic Japanese sushi place in D.C. called mykoto. Then everybody and their brother jumped on the sushi boat. We lost interest. Until.....Kawa. Kawa brought quality, creativity and the fine art of sushi back. This is now our one and only go-to sushi spot. The food. The staff. The atmosphere. The service. All to the highest quality with friendliness and integrity.

Great sushi at fair prices. We loved the Caterpillar and Spicy Tuna rolls. Would highly recommend to friends. A bit noisy that's the only reason it's not 5 stars, but very good non the less.

Wonderful lunch specials! I've only tried their rolls (spicy tuna/salmon, california, eel) so far, which were all good. You may want to plan on extra time or order well in advance for pickup if time is a concern.

Foods good. We tried the beef pan fried noodle and tonkotsu ramen and some of their rolls. Reason for 4/5 Star is because their ramen broth is too salty. I couldn’t finish all the broth. Overall, it’s a nice small Japanese restaurant.

The hibachi isn't hibachi, it's just like..grilled pork. There's no hibachi grilling in the store, either, so I assume they just have a kitchen in the back somewhere. Very expensive for what you get.

Kawa is amazing. The sushi is very good and it is not expensive. The staff are very friendly and acomedating. The wait for food is short, and there is almost no wait to get a table. Basically the sushi restaurant I dreamed of. Clearly deserves 5 stars no exceptions.

We have had a good experience in past but tonight was very disappointing. The restaurant was very busy and loud. We had to wait a half hour for any wait staff to take our order. They seemed to prioritize the people waiting to receive their take out order and made the dining in patrons wait. The wait staff was rude and indifferent about our presence. They made us feel like they were doing us a huge favor to wait on us and bring our food. The only saving grace was the expertise of the sushi chefs as the food was delicious. We will not be returning due to the wait staff's poor behavior.

Was there for dinner with friends and while the food was pretty good and the sushi was made fresh the service was very spotty. We had to constantly flag down a waitress to ask for extra utensils, wasabi, ginger, a clean plate etc. Each time she would hand out one item, didn't remove the menus even when asked to and then handed a large platter of sushi to my friend and just left. The rest of us scrambled to make space on the table before we dropped that platter! It was not that busy a time either.

I’m in from out of town and was looking for a great spot to have sushi for the night and found this spot on Google maps. Was pleasantly surprised when we walked in to see such a cozy and warm environment. But the true star of the show was, hands-down, the sushi! Holy wow! This was my first visit, we went on a bad day, Valentine's day had to wait 20 minutes despite reservations. Tight space about 15 tables and a small sushi counter. The food was great and the server was very attentive. I highly recommend the place if you like sushi.

The ramen I ordered was extremely soggy and my noodles were clumped together . The broth was supposed to be spicy but it was very plain . The servers were rude gossiping about me and my bf because we told them that our noodles were bad .. bad service bad food and expensive for their portions .

This restaurant gives you the most extraodinary sushi experience you'll evere enjoy!! If heaven needed sushi chefs, these masters would fill the position. I've been to many sushi restaurants in the area one of which is very expensive and Kawa has far exceeded my expectations. The food is always fresh, delicate and delicious!! My favorite is the tuna mango tar tar, the Hawaii roll which has fried banana on top and the picachu roll. If you're not a sushi eater, the pad Thai or steak teryaki is great! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. From the gracious customer service to the healthy, delicious food, this place will leave you feeling happy and completely satisfied. If you have a bad experience here, I would go so far as to say I'd personally pay for your meal. I'm not going to do that but I'll say it, haha! So get your roll on and enjoy this magnificent place. This place is great. It is a BYO. There’s a beer shop next door. The parking lot is a nightmare. Park on the side between the Italian restaurant and the strip with Kawa in it. Kawa has an extensive menu. Their specialty rolls are great. They also have ramen and other Japanese foods. They have something like 6 flavors of Ramune. They’re always playing Jiro Dreams of Sushi. The servers are kind and efficient. The desserts go well beyond Japanese restaurant offerings, too, so feel free to indulge. This is our favorite sushi place in Delco.

Been there before for lunch, this was the first time for dinner. It's a great little place. Not huge but comfortable and nice atmosphere. They have a Super Sushi, sashimi, and entree selection. We had a sushi combo and tonkatsu Ramen. Couldn't ask for a better meal! Plus it is BYOB so that helps keep the cost down. Will definitely be going back!
