Went back one year later to find out that they were under new management and I am so glad that I gave them a second chance. Best Indian food I’ve had in a very long time. This is my new go to place for Indian food. Please check them out if you are in the area, trust me you will not be disappointed!!

Had dinner for 15 people at the restaurant the staff and the owner were so kind to serve us food even after regular closing hours. The food was so amazing authentic taste for indian curries. I tried this place twice and had issues both times. They use left over ingredients so read for details. When I first learned that Indian Hut was going to open in Delaware I was happy but the happiness did not last too long as soon as we had our first visit. We ate in on our first visit at lunch time just few weeks in after it was opened. For a quick bite I ordered a Bhel & while taste was good, the sprinkled onion they used was very cold like it just came out from the refrigerator. It smelled like rotten as if it was 2-3 days old. How can they use cut onion that is refrigerated? For main course we ordered Pao Bhaji, Dosa and Noodles/Manchurian for kids. The chinese was good and tasty. But Dosa/Sambhar was not tasty at all. The Bhaji also wasn’t that great. Again I got the cold cut onion with the Bhaji. Recently we ordered a Cake & noodles & manchurian. Again we had bad experience. Manchurian balls (Bhajia) were very hard & we wondered how can that be. Perhaps they again used leftover Manchurian balls. And very spicy despite of repeatedly asking them to make it mild. We always thought the cake would be good since its Indian hut but it was waste of money. It had tooo much sugar in it and not at all well decorated. Just felt like big loaf of Sugar. At this point it was only disappointment and nothing else.

I am from NY and were visiting our friends in DE. They took us to Indian Food festival and that's where we tasted Indian Hut's food. It's excellent; especially their Chilli Chicken and Chole Bhature. Also i normally don't post reviews; but i had the misfortune of witnessing the incident mentioned by one of the reviewers posted for this restaurant by "A-Disgusted Indian". This person was completely at fault. He was shouting at the girl who was taking orders & was abusing for no fault of hers. People like him should never be allowed at a public event.

I am looking for good chat place and indian pastry place in delaware for a long time and when this showed up i must say iam so happy with the food. I loved bathura its my favorite, but only thing thats bad here is the service and they confuse alot with the ordering i know that you guys started this place recently it takes tome to adjust but you guys should be ready to improve it as food is the best here.

Food is so so hit or miss I guess ate here 3 times. This probably my last Time Food doesn’t taste fresh especially the rice. They put boiled eggs in the rice and the eggs where green I just threw it out last 2 times seem pretty good

I hardly put reviews but worst experience i faced forced me to write a review for India Hut. Pathetic customer service, rude people, below average food, less quantity of curry, no complimentary rice (most of other restaurants in Delaware offer this). I ordered Veg Manchurian and I was given mix of Gobi and kofta with horrible taste, when i complained the fellow there was very rude and started talking rubbish. Instead of improving the food quality he was rude. People please STAY AWAY from this kind of place when we have other good options around.

My 4 year old son wanted Solar system planets cake and I went to store and talked to the ppl who owns the store joyesh,though the planet cake was not listed in the cake album, joyesh talked to the bakery and made it possible, it was the best solar system planet cake. My son really enjoyed it.

Worst food ever I had, we ordered indo Chinese food and worst it was so sour and it really spoiled our weekend dinner plan. Please avoid this place atleast the Indo Chinese food. All other reviews I am not sure how they like it. But this definitely for us is completely NO. WORST FOOD and not recommended to anyone. Indian food is much tastier than this and these guys just did plain bad job.

This was the worst restaurant I have ever been in usa. The food was disgusting and pathetic. We are four people visited this place and we ordered 2 chicken biryanis, 2 chicken hakka noodles. Neither of them are good. We spent around 65$. Not worth. They serve you salty, spice less, dried food. Never ever go to this place. This is pure waste of money , time everything. I wanted to give zero rating here ut I don’t see that option so going for 1 rating

I dont normally eat indian food, but was in the shopping center so said what the heck, ill give it a try. I immediately noticed how clean the restaraunt was upon entering, as well as how friendly the staff was in greeting every customer that walked through the door! I ordered the pani puri to start, followed by chicken tikka masala and decided to go all out and finish off with butterscotch cake for desert. Everything was EXCELLENT!!!! My plate was clean when i was done with it! I am already planning on going back again tomorrow and have already recommended to many of my friends. If you like indian food, or even are on the fence about it, this place will definitely change your mind! Indian Hut is my new go-to restaraunt for fast, fresh indian food! Though I know i will be back just for the deserts as well!!!

Unimpressive. Indo-chinese was too bland and tasteless. Paneer chilli had too much color in it without any real taste. Main course wasn’t too different. Too much salt in the food(both paneer veggie and dal tadka) killed the flavor. They need a good chef to start with. Ambience is ok. It’s mostly a self-serve setup so can’t expect much in terms of hospitality.

Hello Everyone, My humble request to everyone....Please don't order anything from this restaurant. We literally wasted our money by ordering goat biryani and veg thali from Indian Hut. I have never written bad reviews about any restaurant but the food I had was the worst indian food I ever had in my life!! They severed stale Roti, the channa masala was tasteless, paneer was burnt. Goat biryani was pathetic ( pathetic is an understatement). I had stomach issue after having their food. I would advise you to starve instead of ordering food from these guys!!! Please save your money and time.

People, please do yourself a favor and take your money elsewhere. The food here ranges from the atrocious to bad. But whats worse? the customer service. I have been there twice now and each time, I have been bluntly asked to pay the tips in cash as soon as i finish placing the order. I think they have an internal competition running to see who can talk to the customers more arrogantly. The ladies at the counter (different ones on the 2 occasions i visited the place), are exactly the type that give Feminism a bad name. I have seen them repeatedly take down the wrong orders from male customers. And when the male customers complain, these ladies argue with them until the customer loses his cool and either walks away or raises his tone. Then the women say things like "stop abusing us", "please learn how to talk to a woman". They play the gender card and force the male customer out of the restaurant. I wonder how long their business can survive with such people at the counter. To see it happen twice in my two visits is too much of a coincidence to ignore. I am not going here anymore and advise you people do the same too!! EDIT : @Ram Ahuja - You seem to have mistaken me for someone else. But I wouldn't be surprised to hear that another irate male customer walked out. Just solidifies my views about the place.

Newly opened Indian restaurant in the area. Pleasant ambiance and clean surroundings. The place is easily accessible and has a lot of parking spots. They serve a variety of Indian delicacies including chaat items and bakery products. I especially enjoy the Tandoori chicken and chaat served here. Love the pastries too. I would definitely recommend this place to all the foodies in the area.

Four of us went there for lunch recently. We were warmly greeted and picked our selections . You order your food at the counter and luckily they were out of bottles water as we were given a free cup to fill with fountain water, saving $5. I ordered the marathi chicken while the others ordered chicken tiki masala. The rice was extra and luckily we ordered that and some naan. I say luckily for while the sauces were excellent and plentiful, there was a dearth of actual chicken. For $12, you think you would get more than a few measly chicken cubes. Everything tasted great and it would have earned 5 stars if not for the high prices for the skimpy portions.

They are new place. The old zaika house has been completely renovated and this new restaurant is there now. And yes they have amazing variety of different Indian style of foods. They do sell South Indian, North Indian, Different street chats and panini sandwiches. Try their dosa, although sometimes it feels that they have less feeling(masala) inside but it's so satisfying. All items have reasonable price and they do make all the great foods. Their punjabi curries and sabji, everything is great, authentic Indian food.

The food is 5/5, the service is 2/5. The staff is friendly, but the food doesn't always come out together. I'll keep returning because I love the food that much. Sometimes they're just closed despite their hours showing they'd be open (example: right now, 11:50am on a Monday). They do have a very nice web site and I look forward to online ordering being available, eventually. I'd like to see this place succeed, so I hope they improve the service a little! Again, great food! I love it! I'd also like to mention that this place has delicious vegetarian options!

Have been to this place a couple of times. This is located close to Christiana Hospital and is easily accessible. They serve a variety of Indian food and bakery items. They have a separate chaat counter too. The staff is very courteous and helpful. The food is good too. Would recommend this place to all craving Indian cuisine. Will update this as and when I try out new items from the menu.

The food is good, but expect it to arrive separately, and not in an order you might expect. Decor is nice, but the self serve soda machine is broken. Dinner is on cafeteria trays and nicer disposable dishes, with plastic utensils. For the money, I would expect better service and real dishes/napkins.

I love this place!! Their food tastes like authentic home cooked Indian food, the owners are really nice and welcoming, and the eggless cakes are to die for! I’ve been struggling to find a decent eggless cake place here in DE, all I can find are vegan. When I found out about Indian Hut’s cakes I was so excited. The chocolate mousse cake is amazing! Their tandoori chicken is delicious and the chole bhatureh (pictured) are so good!! Love this place!!
