This Restaurant is included in the category of Indian restaurant.
Very pathetic place to dine-in. Avoid Garlic mushroom appetizer. Burnt garlic and no salt. First time, we packed the appetizer to take home. Food items are not delicious and missing the authentic touch in almost all the items served. Paneer Gravy portion was less but white rice served was more. It would be good the other way. Coconut soup was not much impressive as it was difficult to drink a sweet soup at the beginning of the meal. I would not return to this place again.
Love this place so much! food is always great. I like the staff that works there. It's hard to say anything bad about this place. Awesome. thank you
Food was great
Went with the buffet and everything was fresh and so delicious!!!
Better Indian food when compared with Bawaarchi. But very very slow service. Slow to collect order, slow to serve, slow to get bill & slow to swipe payment..
Not bad, okayish...good value for money though.
Just awesome
Long time favorite for takeout and dining in. Always reliable. Order mild spice if not accustomed to this stuff.
Best Indian food in this area
I've been going here since they opened. Wonderful food! Attentive staff and great service .
Amazing food huge variety and friendly staff
Great 1st experience with Indian food. Definitely will be back when in town again.
Very good Indian food I LOVE
I had a mediocre experience here before, the food was too spicy. My family was visiting, so we decided to go here again. I asked for my dish (butter chicken) about a 6/10 spicy-ness. It tasted like pure hot chili paste. The flavor was very 'flat' (not complex heat), butter chicken is not suppose to be a 'spicy' dish, but i wanted a little kick. It was un-edible. The kind waiter requested that the chef 'fix' it, I think they just added yoghurt. "Taj Mahal" down Naaman's road has much better food, any option would be better than here. Never returning. PS The rest of my family's meals were a mixed bag, even though they had asked for it not spicy (around a 3/10 spicyness.) My family thought they were laughing at us not being able to tolerate the insane pure heat.
Just great food
Delicious
Tasty dishes.
Last decent Indian buffet in town.
I had the recent pleasure of trying the India Grille. There were 3 dishes tried here and they were all enjoyed. Firstly, the staff were pleasant and attentive. They serve you the Indian equivalent of "chips and salsa". It is a crisp flat bread served with 3 sauces. There is a red sauce with onions, which had a sweetness to it. It was our favorite. There also was a brown sauce that had a little sweetness as well. Lastly, the green sauce was cilantro. I liked all 3 but others may not like the cilantro. The first dish is butter chicken. I love butter chicken and it didn't disappoint. It is served with rice and naan bread. The butter chicken had good flavor and just the right amount of heat, you might like it Spicer if you like spicy food. The curry chicken was also a popular choice here. Upon leaving I saw several curry chicken dishes served. Last, I had Dal Makhani. This is like a creamy lentils. It was also good. The naan was some if the best I've had. It was soft and flavorful. I'm also not a bread person but enjoyed both. I would recommend this place.
Great buffet lunch, flavorful, varied, abundant. Excellent customer service
Definitely not for south Indians. Foods is bland for me. Missing the spice
Best Indian Restaurant in town! I go here for dinner all the time. The food is amazing and its cheap too. Everything on the menu seems to be really good.
Though we've been here for the lunch buffet a few times, last Wed both I and my baby daughter contracted food poisoning from it which led to about 24-30 hours of nausea, severe cramps and diarrhea. It was the only meal we'd shared in a day or two so the source was obvious and the symptoms hit us within minutes of each other. My wife, a physician, concurred with the diagnosis. Suffice it to say, we won't be returning and would recommend that you avoid it too for obvious reasons.
Wish there was easier to Order
Non-descript from the outside, frigid air conditioning within; but was surprised by the really excellent & truly authentic (i.e. hot IS hot) food, far better than I expected. Very friendly, quick service with classically large portions.
Absolutely love the fish curry. Something for every pallet.
Awesome, authentic food. Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. The kind of place that you love to support almost as much as you love the food!
Awesome lunch buffet
Great birthday!
Best customer service and great food quality.
Awesome yummy delicious authentic Indian food.
Good variety buffet
Some of the food was cold during buffet hours. Some trays were empty and was not refilled. There was broken furniture Other than those minor issues the food was satisfying
I had the Chicken Vindaloo, and the medium spicy was decent. Service was very good, and the price was reasonable.
Delicious indian cuisine. Nice buffet with decent variety.
Food not spicy inspite of asking for spicy. Paneer paratha not cooked properly
Always have time for a meal here with my family!
worst indian food ever had. I would never visit again.....
Long wait. Good food
If it was between living out the rest of eternity in a paradise with 72 virgins or the lunch buffet at Indian Grille, I recommend starting with the tandoori chicken.
Good food and service. I've never had a bad meal and when they ask how hot you want your food, on a scale of 1 to 10...it always meets my expectation on spiciness.
The food is always good. I really enjoy the lunch buffet. It's a great deal.
This place has some of the better Indian food I've had in the Wilmington area. Lunch is set up buffet style and the wait staff has been friendly and engaging. The decor could use an update!
The spice is amazing the meat was a little hard both the chicken and the goat, but great mixture with the rice. The naan is good but a little thin on the bread. Ultimately 4 stars
Veg food is bad.Non Veg is acceptable.
Never gonna come back not good tried all in buffet not good
This is one authentic Indian food restaurant, we ordered Garlic Chicken with Goat Biryani, and both of the dishes were excellent. Very neat, clean, and beautifully arranged tables. Target is just few minutes drive. Ambience was good and staff very hospitable. Recommended for people looking for authentic Indian food. Butter naans were awesome
Exquisite, friendly service. Nice atomosphere and super delicious food! Definitely would reccomend.
Staff were extremely sweet. The interior ambience is beautiful, unlike the exterior of the restaurant. I liked their homestyle chai and onion bhajji , but the kadai chicken was average. Note to owner: please upgrade your exterior ambience to attract more customers :-)
I enjoyed everything i tried. Typical buffet style self-serve . I was encouraged to try the eggplant dish by the manager. I was surprised it was good. I normally don't eat eggplant.
Nice service. We tried their buffet, we have had better ones. The taste was satisfying. Could be more authentic. Food is reasonably priced.
Buffett is always fresh food with tons of different options and varying levels of spice. Everyone who works there has knowledge of the menu and is more than happy to help you find something you'll love (or remake it if you don't). No judgement, everyone just has a grand time. Thank you India Grille!!!
Love the Biryani here, it's slightly different.. and amount is good for two.
My husband said this was the best Indian food he's ever eaten in his life. I agree. If u like flavor try the Lemon Rice + Chili Chicken + Poori bread or Garlic Naan.
Stopped in for the lunch buffet on Christmas Eve. Lots of options in the buffet although we missed chicken tikka masala and everything was mild (probably to serve people who can't handle spice). A lovely experience because the staff were so personable and friendly! I was especially impressed with their accommodation of a family that was there when we were. Their group had several small children and the staff seemed to go out of their way to make things run as smoothly as possible for the parents. Good to know that kids and babies are welcome there. All in all, the food was tasty but it was really the nice staff that made our visit enjoyable!
Food and service are always impeccable.
This place is SOOOO tasty. Don't forget to get yourself a vegetable samosa. I also really appreciate the sliding scale of how hot your food can be. And yes, the hot is hot.
very nice romatic setting great food
Good food! Great taste, quality and quantity! Friendly staff as well. Worth it! Lamb vindaloo and the shrimp vindaloo are amazing!
I found the food very tasty and the waiter and waitresses were friendly and efficient. I enjoyed the ambience and the decor of the place. You should try the sheesh kababs.
Friendly staff and delicious food!
Love this place! We don’t go anywhere else for great Indian food.
I liked it, fantastic food n staff and would like to recommend!!
Very very good. Don’t hesitate—just go there. Everything is delicious.
Suggestion to cook: chicken biryani was very bad, chicken kabab was not cooked properly, gulab jamun was hard from inside. Green dhaniya chatni was disaster. Lamb was good. Pakoda was good. Kheer was not kheer but bolied rice and milk. Cost per person based on number of item they serve is very good.
Nice food
Decent variety, clean place overall
Quick good food.
Great selection of food. The tea was spiced wonderfully by the owner with cardamom and other wonderful flavors! Also very clean.
Good food, but VERY slow service. There was only one other table when we got there and multiple waiters. Another table of 2 arrived shortly after we did. But that doesn't account for the incredibly slow service. Also the fact that there is no alcohol on the menu isn't great, I think you can BYOB, and there is a liquor store next door. Portions we're a good size, we have gone here s number of times and the service is always slow, and they're never crowded. I think if we go again it will only be for the lunch buffet, so we don't have to deal with slow service.
I liked pretty much everything I would recommend going there
One of my go-to places for Indian Cuisine. Selection varies by day.
I loved that the food is not spicy and if you want it spicy than they have spicy sauce you can put on it not only that but the desserts were really good and they have tea there that is good. To all the vegetarians out there they have a huge selection of vegetarian food there. But I have only had the lunch buffet. In all awesome place to eat.
This food joint is only good for Ala carte. The food was awesome. I have tried Chicken pakora and Chicken Biriyani. Chicken pakora tasted really nice and crunchy. We put spice at 9/10 level and liked it very much. If you are not comfortable with spiciness you can tone down the spice level as per your need. Don't go for lunch buffet here. It was a real disaster. The food was very limited. The Biriyani doesn't taste as good as in ala carte. Please stay away from this place if you are going for buffet.
The location is excellent and the lunch buffet is great after a morning of shopping. The spice level isn't too much for my children either.
Absolutely great food.
Good food, good space for a party of 20-30 people and buffet is good enough for a party event with variety in snacks to main course and desserts. The venue allowed us to do some decorations for an anniversary celebration and was really helpful and generous. A good spot for a regular dine in or a big team or family events.
I love to bring friends to this Indian restaurant. The food is delicious, with so many choices at the buffet. The staff is welcoming and helpful. It was a pure delight. Casual and enjoyable.
Good food. Service is very friendly, but can be slow.
Great chicken curry, garlic naaan and he basmati rice is very tasty!
Hands down the Best tasting and most enjoyable variety of colorful and traditional Indian food I have ever experienced. I had been doing a project for work down the street when I decided to give this place a shot for lunch. I have been back 9 times since and can't get enough. Keep up the great work. Maybe smile a little more to strangers, you definitely have a recipe here for success !!
Nothing to hype about; nothing to frown about
Always good
I was here for a friend's anniversary celebration. The place was congested though the food experience was very good. The food reflected true Indian flavors and taste. Heard its also a very popular Indian joint in the neighborhood. Indian music were playing.
If you think its Indian food you are being fooled. Its not AUTHENTIC , I don't know which part of India uses cauliflower in their Biryani and more over every dish tastes the same. If you really want to taste Indian food keep driving North. I warned you.
Reminded me of home and traditions with friends.
My Wife and I have been going here for many years and it is by far the best Indian we have ever had, certainly the best Indian food in the area. We love Indian food and have tried many different restaurants in many different places and I can honestly say this is the best we have ever had. Our favorites are the tikka masala and the vindaloo but there are so many other dishes we love as well. I love the lamb and my wife loves the chicken. The sauces and spices are amazing and the meat behind the sauces are flavorful and cooked perfectly on their own. Great attention to detail on the food. Its the kind of place where we eat until we are full and we immediately get excited thinking about when we are going to eat the left overs.
Tasteless food. We got pav bhaji, paneer Tikka masala, and chole bhature to go and only chole bhature were edible. Everything else was tastleless. Would not recommend getting anything except chole bhature.
Wow! Always a pleasure to be here. Food is very tasty. It is not very spicy and tasty at the same time . Will definitely come back and recommend others
I currently live in Tennessee but this used to be my home town. No matter where I go, this place beats all the other South Indian places I eat at. Everytime I'm at a different restaurant I want to cry because I'm not here. Great variety, tastes even better than last time. Keep it up!
Been going here for years. Food and service is always great. Daily buffet has 9 or so dishes and lots of appetizers, salads, soup, f chuttneys, and chi.
Buffet for lunch was outstanding and fresh.
Price is good, food is good. I've only been here for the lunch buffet. The flavors seem to be a little muted, probably to cover the needs of a buffet audience. The staff is friendly and attentive. The location is difficult to get in and out of, but is close to shopping areas and apartments.
Hey all you people. Hey all you people. Hey all you people won’t you listen to meee! This is no Indian restaraunt, no ordinary restaraunt, but the most authentic and delicious Indian restaraunt within 100 miles of Philly!!!!
Too risk taking ...
This place is actually BYOB. Which is unheard of in Delaware. The food is incredible. Try the Lamb!
Good food. Nice people clean place
The food was pretty good. I had the curry chicken and my friend had the chicken Tika Masala. Her dish was excellent. The service was Ok. We should have come earlier in the day.
Good food and clean restaurant. I love it
Good.I liked the food as the first timer.
I have very bad experience with India Grille. In Lunch Buffet - they will not refill the food once it is over even though you ask them to refill. They play this game. This happened many times with me. My friends had the same experience(India Grille never refill the food once it is over). You just wait and wait and wait - finally pay the cheque and come out.
Lamb biryani.. Dont miss it wen u visit this place...
Clean but late services and they forgot to add salt in my tandoori.
Great buffet good price.
Nice staff and delicious food
Good food
Great food. Ok service. Nobody there for dinner.
Super fantastic! Kid friendly.
Always great good, very nice people. Thank you for including the chai tea on the lunch buffet!
I ordered from Grubhub.....that is not the issue. I would wait 3 hours for the food after ordering from Grubhub because the food is good. I have had the food delivered from here three times before......never again. It tastes like someone thought it was a good joke to put an entire salt shaker worth of salt into both dishes. I know the food is not that salty because again, I have ordered from there before; this was someone deliberately doing that to ruin the dishes. I wasted 40 bucks. 40 bucks I would gladly pay over and over again, but you just lost a customer. Also, I asked for white meat chicken....clearly not white meat. EDIT: They called and fixed the order and are redelivering it.
Today was my first time eatting at this restaurant. Very cheap, very clean....I LOVED THE FOOD !! VERY GREAT PLACE TO TRY OUT !
The staff was very good and the food was also nice and priced reasonable.
Best indian joint in Wilmington.
Disgusting and tasteless food. Don't go. Paid review or review by employee and friends will be positive, but mine is not.
Okay Indian food.
Good
Great lunch buffet
Their all you can eat lunch buffet is the best. There is a lot of variety so if you are unfamiliar with Indian cuisine it is a fantastic way to learn what you like.
I went for a birthday party here , food was good .
Best Indian restaurant in Delaware hands down. Convinient location, absolutely delicious food, and a very friendly staff!
Excellent food. The tandoori chicken was great! Very nice people too, we had leftovers and they gave us extra rice to take home with us. Highly recommended.
I really needed some nice Indian food in a nice setting but not too expensive.
Food was not what I thought it would be. Highly disappointed.
Live their lunch buffet.
Food is spicy and all the dishes I ordered had a very heavy coconut taste.
Honestly, I've had indian food in over 6 states and nothing has yet to beat the food from India Grille. The atmosphere is lovely, and it's a family owned business. I no longer live in the area, but I miss it every day! It's always a must-go when I'm back in my hometown. Honestly the best indian food I've ever had.
First time here with my wife. We tried their Veg and Non Veg thali. Very good.
They are the best. Sauces are so on point. I loved the buffet.
Lamb saag is awesome. Great service.
Nice service great food good price o love this place
Very good Indian restaurants. Food is tasty and not overpriced.
Been going here all my life. My family loves the New Year's buffet!
Such a wrost place the staff especially the lady who behaves like she is distrubuting free food. Not wroth to go to a place like this when you are too hungry
average place....food taste is ok
BEWARE! I think the reviews on here must be paid or done by employees as I have seen other reviewers state. We ordered from here and half the food we got was soggy and damp and tasteless but the real problem was that the mutter paneer had quite obviously gone bad. To fix this- they absolutely refused to refund us and offered a coupon for our next order instead. REALLY?! Seriously- eat here at your own risk.
Great restaurant warm environment, owner is friendly and welcoming.
This restaurant was delightful. Get the tandoori you will not be disappointed. EXCELLENT. They asked what temp I wanted and it was spot on (very rare in a restaurant). A very unique display of subtle tastes. I was stumped and the host could not share the unique flavor profiles - which is great because I’ll be back. I had the chicken. The basmati was fine and the masala tea was worth coming back for. I’ll be back. A poem I wrote for publication while there: Solemn Greyness The way a breeze comes across the morning trees of Autumn, lights upon an opening of the heart toward a sigh, and a giving of the soul to a rest. Color calling everything out of us to mingle in the crisp and dampening air that lives amid the solemn heavy greatness of the clouds.
The food is delicious and reasonably priced. I got takeout in about 20 minutes. Was packaged so well it stayed warm for 30 minutes.
The food taste is not good.
We have our Christmas luncheon here every year. Excellent buffet with a good selection and authenticity. Our two friends from India like it very much.
Good flavor but wayyyyyyyyyyyyy to spicy. Got medium heat and my mouth is still burning. Go for a mild and I think I would have enjoyed my lunch a lot more.
Best Indian food in the area
Great food and service
Order take out from here at least once a week. Friendly service, not usually too long of a wait for take out during normal times, however you may have to wait a little extra if it's during peak dinner hours. The food is fresh, well seasoned and the kashmiri naan is to die for! I would have to say this is one of my all time favorite Indian joints in the Philly area.
Top notch. Very friendly. Will return. Again.
Best Buffet
Nasty food. Food was burnt and service is terrible. Rip off prices too.. avoid at all costs. Spend your money elsewhere
Hands down Best Indian in North Wilmington. Even has a lunch Buffet. Impressive.
Amazing food with reasonable price. Great service too. Worth visiting. Been for Dinner over here.
At least once a week for the past two years I have been here for the lunch buffet. There are not enough adjectives to state how wonderful the food is. If you have not been there, do yourself a favor and give it a visit.
Delicious and great staff.
Phenomenal lunch buffet. I have been to about 10 Indian buffets throughout Delaware and Pennsylvania and this is hands down the best. It has a great selection of well-seasoned dishes, a variety of fresh sauces and chutneys, and really good chai. Customer service is excellent as well. Highly recommended.
Below average food for people with good Indian food taste, they really need to improve their food quality.
Wow! Amazing buffet. Really outstanding Indian cuisine.
The food is so good and delicious here. I wish I could eat more at the buffet. Curse my tiny stomach organ!
Very friendly staff. Huge portions. Fair prices
Very good indian food
