Had many expectations for this highly rated restaurant. Nephew booked dinner table for 11 well ahead of time. Party was crammed somewhere in the back of the restaurant on 4 compact tables that could barely fit two each per table. When we asked if we could get one more table, owner came and spoke very rudely .. said this is how they operated for 38 years ... take it or leave it. We left.

I had Crab, Cauliflower soup that lacked crab. It was tasty after it had to be reheated. Steak and eggs with fingerling potatoes was cooked perfectly. Scrambled eggs were a tad overdone. My wife's fried green tomatoes was a mess. Her eggs Benedict came on a Brioche roll with ham. There was very little ham. Brioche roll was burnt to a crisp. Who uses Brioche rolls for anything? Another yuppy fad that will fade like Kale. Singer at the Brunch was excellent.

Bouncer forcibly put his hands on me. BEWARE of this place, it's employees, and management!!! In retrospect, I should have called police. We (my bf and I) were there to see drag show and as we entered, I had to go to bathroom (having been there before) I made my way through crowd and as I approached, a large arm karate blocked me (had I been going faster, he might have knocked the wind out of me) It was a big bouncer looking guy with earpiece who's job is (according to the manager) to police who goes in to the bathroom and yes, according to her, putting hands on the clientele is ok since "it is too loud to let people know"...that they have this insane policy. It is not ok to put hands on people!!!

2018: Just can't give the restaurant more than a 3 star rating. I give the drag queen show a 5 star rating, however. 2017: Got the ribeye barrel entre. The bone barrel was empty of marrow so the waiter gave us another after bringing it to his attention. Why he served the first one is beyond me. We had a choice of a filet or ribeye steak, so we ordered the ribeye medium rare. The steak was a sirloin instead and very dry and chewy. There was absolutely no marbling. Took me more than a minute to swallow my first bite. We complained. The end result is we were comped the bottle of wine we had ordered. The only reason why we are giving a 3 rating instead of a 2. I should note our waiter did an ok job but was somewhat uninformed. Also, the person trying to seat us for our reservation tried to put us in the worst seats in the house when there were others available. She finally did accommodate us with a great table. Sorry I'm complaining so much but when you're in one of the best and most expensive restaurants in Rehoboth one should expect more.

My husband and I decided to treat ourselves to the up scale Blue Moon, in Rehoboth Beach on Baltimore Ave., DE. Jessica, our wait person made the evening. She was personable, attentive, friendly, professional, informative, everything you look for and hope for in a server. Hor'dorves were perfect. Gargonzola stuffed dates, wrapped in bacon im n a cracker. My husband had the leak soup garnished with crabmeat. He then had the salmon special & I had the lamb rack. Both were outstanding. Then we had dessert, the Blue Moon Bombe. Wow knock your socks off good. I'd say the best dessert ever. Can't say enough. Drinks were good, food excellent. Jessica the best. This place is absolutely amazing. We had our anniversary dinner here and the food was to die for. We had rock fish and fillet mignon which were both fabulous. Me and my fiancé are very picky with our rare medium steak and they did an amazing job with it. By far one of the best steaks I have had. Our server surprised us with champagne and baked Alaska as a treat for our anniversary which was very tasty and nice of him.

Music - baaad. Just terrible. Worst music ever. For a gay club at the beach they just have no idea what music to put on. You want to have fun but you just can't - because of the music. I don't know how the restaurant part is doing but the bar is overpriced. Did I mention how bad the music is? The drag show could be fun but it really depends. Magnolia Applebottom is the best.

Blue Moon provided our most memorable dining experience on a recent trip to the Delaware coast. We encountered a lively and refined ambiance, led by our very perceptive waiter, Charles. My Parisian partner ordered the octopus salad to prime him for a rare New York strip which he claimed was the best he had eaten in ages: serious praise from a Frenchman. A bone full of marrow and crisp garnish of radicchio and frisee accompanied the steak. A melange of mushroom and onion in cast iron was a great enhancement. After a starter of crispy fried green tomatoes with chevre and onions, I opted for a halibut filet with a lemony glaze served on a nest of green beans and olives. The fish was perfectly cooked. My side was a memorably smooth cauliflower mash. We shared a dessert of Yazu pie, a Japanese cousin to the ubiquitous key lime dessert with surprises of raspberry coulis and toasted pistachio. This all went down with perfect vodka martinis.

Delicious cuisine in a very cozy atmosphere - you feel like you are having dinner in your friend's living room (if your friend is great chef). Friendly staff and great cocktails from the adjoining bar. The charred octopus, lobster pot pie, and venison tartare are the standout appetizers. All of the fish main courses are extremely fresh and delicious and the meat main courses are filling and cooked as requested (be sure to get the seared hudson valley foie gras as a delicious accompaniment to your main course). The diver scallops and the rock fish are the standout main courses.

Couldn't have been more impressed with our dining experience here. My better half locked into this restaurant as a must-go for our minimoon and, as always, she was right. Immediately upon walking in the ambiance felt right, intimate yet open. Our guy Zane filled our water's, a delight of a human being if you're so lucky to meet him as well. He's certainly a bit mischievous however we quickly met our server for the evening, Bridget. She guided us through the rest of our meal - our solid mix drinks, the devil's on horseback compliments of the chef, the brie fondue, the (Jersey!!) scallops, and the duck. Afterwards, while discussing our shared loved of doggos, they were kind enough to offer us their key lime pie, it was tangy/creamy with the classic graham cracker crust. Surrender yourself to this delight, words are almost inferior to describe it. Just an overall stupendous night.

Went for dinner Sunday night. The food was good but the seating arrangement at the table was extremely uncomfortable. I was forced to sit sideways at the end of the table to allow for another table in the too small space. This was embarrassing as I lobbied hard to go to The Moon. Requested to be able to add a chair so I could actually sit at the table properly but my request was ignored. I have been going to The Moon for special occassions over the last 23+ years. Disappointing.

We chose this restaurant bc it's vegetarian friendly and we were not disappointed! I had the vegetarian selection which varies every day depending on what is fresh and new! They came out with a full plate of five dishes: summer fruit salad, summer vegetable medley, curried lentils, corn chowder, and fried green tomatoes. Definitely recommend!
